Palm tx home button goes to contacts

The 4 buttons on the bottom of my Palm TX seem to be mixed up. The leftmost home button goes to APPOINTMENTS, the left inside button goes to CONTACTS, the button to the right inside button goes to TASKS, and the rightmost button goes to NOTE. Is there a way to reset these to point to the correct application?

  • HELP!!!!! Home Button going crazy!!!!!

I just got the iPhone 3g. The home button is taking me to my favorites contacts (I did not configure the phone to do this). I cannot see the main screen. I tried tuning the phone off by pressing and holding the on/off button and it wont do anything... it just go into sleep mode.. PLEASE HELP. what should I do and why this happen?

    Hi,
I'm having exactly the same problem, i.e. intermittently, the iPhone seems to "lock" on the Favourites screen. The five buttons along the bottom of the screen work, but the Home button does not. If I try and turn the phone off, it just goes to sleep. Then, on waking, shows the welcome screen. But then, sliding to unlock takes me straight back to the Favourites menu, not the main menu.
A right feckin' pain in the arse. Didn't have any hint of a problem with the original iPhone. Have now been an owner of an iPhone 3G for less than a week, and have already had to do two restores to get around this "home button locking" problem - which is no solution at all of course, especially as now, that the iTunes server seems to be barfing, so I can't even download an update to restore from!
Poor show. I think this baby is going straight back to the shop for a replacement.
    Anyone else have this problem?

  • Home Button goes unresponsive when iPad locks, accompanied with Safari crashes

As the title says, I've taken notice that my iPad is slowly deteriorating performance wise. Safari has been increasing crashes over the past week, to the point where I think something is up if it DOESN'T crash within the last 10-30mins. The browser will freeze, and boot me out to the Home Screen.
I am now at the point where, once my iPad goes black after not fiddling with it for awhile, the Home Button will not bring me to the Lock Screen unless I double click it for the mini-music controls to appear. These things seem to have started appearing only after I updated to the latest iOS 5.0.1 update.
My iPad has suffered no outside trauma, the battery rarely gets to less than 5% life, and I've disabled unneeded and unused features, such as many of the Spotlight Searches. I do however, keep roughly 6-8 tabs open in Safari regularly, as I like to hop tabs as my attention span demands lol (that in itself may be the reason for the browser crashes..).
Does anyone else seem to have any similar issues, or know that it might be a firmware/hardware problem that is documented somewhere? I have seen other threads about unresponsive iPads/iPhones but nothing that matches my problem specifically.

I'm hoping I wont have to get to that point. But thats what its looking like its coming to. I haven't come across anyone else with the issue.

  • Home button goes to favorites, not to applications

Well... kind of going nuts not being able to go back to my applications. The home button brings me to the phone app of the iphone... and I find no way to access all my other apps!
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks

Hey Ingo2711, your advice did the trick!!! Thanks to you and to the others too, wonderful not to feel alone with our problems!
I knew that pressing home button twice could bring you straight to favorites... and also tried switching on and off... but always came back to favs no matter how... Just could not reach home page again! So re-setting made it work! Sooo cool!
Cheers and Merry Xmas to all!

  • Home button recent contact list incorrect

When I double click my home button my recent contact log comes up across the top of the screen as intended. Recent Position 7 and 8 are flipped. Meaning, the last time I had contact with Sue was at 6:45 and the last time I had contact with Linda was at 9:45, yet Sue is listed in position 7 and Linda is in position 8. Has anyone else seen this issue?
When taking a closer look, Sue and I exchanged text messages and the times were a little off-
    Sue sent @ 6:45
    I replied @ 6:46
    Sue sent @ 6:45
    I replied @ 6:46
    Sue sent @ 6:45
    I replied @ 6:47
What is going on with my phone and has anyone had similar issues?

  • HOME button: possible response solution?

I don't know if this helps anyone else, but I turned OFF the "Double-clicking the Home Button" goes to "iPod Controls" feature under the General Settings. My Home button seems more responsive with this option turned off. I used to press it several times before it would respond. Seems to be working for me this way... anyone else having this issue?

    Hello,
I suggest taking the phone back to the store.
I had this problem before with one of the iphones I received as an exchange. I think the button is not installed correctly, the issue with that phone was that the button is not responsive at all, it only responds when i press down towards the bottom or center of the home button, if i press just few mm above the center of the button, it wouldn't respond. I took mine back for an exchange and the new phone didn't have this problem.

  • Icon that appears when home button is double clicked

When I double click the home button in iOS 8 I see an icon at the bottom left sometimes. I think it is the app that the other person on my account is currently using. Has anyone seen this or know for sure what it is?

I press the home button, which brings up the lock screen,
No, pressing the home button doesn't go to the lock screen.  Pressing the lock button does that.  Pressing the home button goes to the last used home screen page if closing an app, or to the 1st page if on another page.
If my wife or son have that the text app or Safari open on their phone... I see an icon of that in the bottom left hand corner.
No icons of Safari of Message apps open on another iPhone on the same account appear on either the home or lock screens of my phone (you keep changing your story where you see it), in the universe the rest of us occupy,  running any iOS version.
If you actually see this, either your phone is jailbroken or it isn't an iPhone.

You can't gift it, gifting can only be done from within the store, not from within your library.

  • Siri is prompting to unlock Iphone 6 when pressing home button for voice dial of existing contact

Just upgraded me to an IPhone 6. I restored my new phone from recent back up so all contacts, etc. are there. Also updated to latest OS.
If I depress the home button Siri is now prompting me to unlock my IPhone.
    Scenario:
Depress Home button to activate Siri
    Say "Call Home:"
Siri responds "You'll need unlock your IPhone first"
    Unlock IPhone
Siri responds "Just to confirm - you'd like to call home".
I used to be able to just say "Call home" and it would just dial.....no unlock...no confirmation.
What's changed? Is there a setting I need to tweak?
    Running iOS 8.1.1
    Thanks

    Hi teturner,
I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your new iPhone 6. If you are unable to voice dial from your lock screen, you may want to see if the setting to disable Siri when the phone is locked is enabled, as is noted here:
Prevent access to Siri when iPhone is locked. Go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode (iPhone models with Touch ID) or Settings > Passcode (other models). You can also disable Siri by turning on restrictions. See Restrictions.

  • My iPod Touch 5th generation is faulty, first the home button stopped working and now it's died completely, won't charge but I can feel the screen is heated. What is going on with this thing?

I bought this iPod mid-March, I've only had it for a little less than 5 months.  I bought it at Best Buy, I don't know if that matters or anything- I have a geek squad and apple warranty.  I'm only nineteen years old and this was my first real big purchase and I'm very disappointed.  I've had other iPods before and never had any issues with them, my last one lasted from 2008 - 2013.  I take very good care of my iPod Touch, never dropped it or anything of the sort and I keep it in a thick case.  This iPod worked fine up until recently.  First the home button became unresponsive, I had to activate the assistive touch because I use this iPod for school work.  I was about to take my iPod into Best Buy so they could take a look at it and see if there was anything they could do before I contacted apple, but now my iPod is completely dead.  It won't respond at all. I had to disconnect the charger because the iPod screen was getting hot and it wasn't charging.  It's been disconnected for a few hours and the screen still feels hot. I'm really concerned, especially with recent news reports of handheld devices overheating and burning people or even exploding.  Will the apple warranty cover this so I can get a new iPod?  What are my options?

If the iPod is defective and not abused Apple will exchange it at no cost under your warranty.

Have not backed up for months, so prefer not to lose the data.
Thank you for your help in advance.

Restore iPhone with iTunes on computer. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time of holding both buttons. Click the Update or Restore button that iTunes offers.
