Palm TX, Nokia 6085, ATT (Cingular WAP): Stopped working together 11/24/2008

I tend to think the problem is with ATT, because the phone aKs just nothing gets delivered. The Palm works fine over WIFI.
Had LONG talk with ATT, they gave me number of tech help for NOKIA- they pointed the finger at ATT.
I have another identical phone but just changing the sim card doesnt seem to matter (guess the phone id).
Help.

At&t's service (formerly Cingular's) can be flaky at times...
I just connected my TX to my Centro and it worked fine.

WRT54GS WAP stopped working abruptly

After working flawlessly for years, my ver. 3 WRT54GS's WAP stopped working today.
Firmware version 4.71.4 was installed over a month ago.
It stopped working with all of my systems; Windows, Linux, WinMobile & wii.
If I leave the router with open wireless, it works.
Nothing happened. No storm, power surge or anything else I can detect.
Otherwise, the router is working perfectly.
I have reset the router and reset it to it's defaults. No luck.
Any suggestions?

No you dont have to Load the backup Config file on your Router. Since you have upgraded the firmware on your Router, you need to re-configure all the settings on your Router manually.
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

FCP7 and Compressor 4 stopped working together

I upgraded OS X to 10.8.5 a few days ago, and ever since FCP7 and Compressor 4 have stopped working together. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

lots of things may work for a while, but will not work indefinitely. Do some searching here for people using h264 quicktimes in fcp. they may work for a while... compressor 3.5 is included with the fcp7 installer so you might want to go back to it.
But first, how were they working together? Were you able to send from within fcp?

I get a "Palm desktop by access application has stopped working" message when switching to the Month calendar view.

I have a Z22 and am running Access version 6.2.2 on a PC with Vista.
When I move from Day, Week or Year to Monthly view in the Calendar, I get the "Palm Desktop by Access Application has stopped working" (and then the Windows message saying they are checking for a solution, which they never seem to find).
Does any one know 1) how to fix this and 2) what is the cause ? Am I running old software which I need to update ?

I verified that I must have corrupted calendar data as the PALM Desktop does come up and work when I follow your first 4 steps and remove the data from it. I can't, however, get through the importing step at the end of your instructions. I've tried a few times and am afraid I may have messed up the data file as it now is only showing a datebook. mdb and a datebook.bak file under the DateBook folder I copied to my desktop, but no datebook.dab folder as it was showing before and I never did find the datebook.dat file you mentioned. I still have all of my current calendar data on my Palm Centro but I can't get it to sync with the Palm Desktop without getting the "Palm Desktop by ACCESS Application has stopped working" message. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this problem? Thanks much!

Nokia Ovi Suite 2 has stopped working

I have never been able to get Ovi siute to work on my laptop. I'm running Wondows Vista and have tried removing all Nokia programs and drivers and doing a fresh install but I still get the same notice every time I try to open Ovi suite.
"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify youif a solution is available."
Can anybody offer any advice on how I can get it working.

if you have not tried this you can try it once.
1. Uninstall Ovi Suite, PC Connectivity solution and Nokia Connectivity cable drivers from Add/remove program if anything is there.
2. Delete the files from here If anything is there
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Nokia\Ovi Suite
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Nokia
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\OviInstallerCache
3. Restart Computer.
4. Download and Install latest OviSuite http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/nokia-ovi-suite
5. Connect the device and try to sync

NOKIA N91 all sound just stopped working

I dont know what happened, one second everything was working fine and the next all the sound on my phone stopped working. Even the nokia start up tune isnt wokring, my phone doesnt even vibrate(it doesnt ring when someone calls or whn i get a text message, sound in games doesnt work and alarm sounds or music player sound doesnt work, it shows the song as playing but no sound comes out). i have tried every single profile and have checked my settings. I have also restarted my phone by holding the green key, "*" key, 3 key and the turn off button. This didnt fix anything...at all! I dont knowwhats going on, no water got into my phone i havent dropped it either, but its not very new, its about 2-3 years old (used to be my fathers phone but i took it from him because my old phone stopped working) and i have been using it for about a month or so!
Please help me! i have no idea what to do!

It looks like the phone has suffered a hardware failure. All you can do is visit a nokia care point for help. They will not be able to give you a price for the repair until they have inspected it.

You may try un-installing and then Re-installing the nokia Suite. You may also try the latest Beta version from here .. Need to log-in using the same credentials that you use on this Forum, to download the installer..

Nokia Maps full postcode search stopped working?

I have nokia maps with navigation upgrade on an N95 8GB. It's always been great and allows for a full 7 digit postcode search if you allow it to go online.
However, this has now suddenly stopped working and only does the normal 3 or 4 digit search that it would do if not online. For me this makes the sat nav useless as it can never find addresses accurately.
Anyone else had this problem?
I formatted the mass memory the other day as it was slow and had to reload the actual maps (the program is in the phone memory). Could this have affected it?

I received a reply to my email to Nokia after 3 days.
They suggested:
1) I ensure I have installed the latest version of Nokia Maps, which is a bit dumb considering it is built into my firmware.
2) Take my phone to a Nokia service centre.
FYI
I have now done a hard reset and still no joy. This is a very weird problem. Given that all firmware, memory and s/w have been completely reset the problem must lie elsewhere.
I see three remaining options:
1) My mobile account is blocked from accessing the Nokia Map server - unlikely
2) It is some kind of hardware fault - possible
3) Even a hard reset does not clear some config problem from the phone - possible

Ical server/client suddenly stopped working together

I have 10.6.1 server with a group calendar served on a wiki. There are multiple users using 10.6.1 macbook, using ical to display/edit the group calendar. Server has a correctly configured FQDN. Apart from some niggles (will come to later), all has been fine for the last 2 weeks - all 10.6 clients have been able to connect without problems (to FQDN:8008/principals/wikis/groupadministration ). I do not have SSL. Today, one of the clients could no longer update the group calendar or refresh it (for changes from other people).
The following is in the client system log:
iCal[278] Exception in -[CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation refreshWithExceptionHandling] :: * -[NSCFString rawInterval]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x165437f0
In the server caldavd error log:
[caldav-8009] [-] [twistedcaldav.method.propfind#error] Error reading property ('DAV:', 'current-user-privilege-set') for resource /calendars/_uids_/wiki-groupadministration/inbox/: <StatusResponse 401 Access denied while reading property {DAV:}current-user-privilege-set.>
Web access still works for this user.
There have been no changes to any set up and the user in question had no problems in the last 2 weeks, until today. I understand it just "stopped working" this morning - user can offer no further help.
In other niggles (possibly unrelated but if anyone can help):
* I have an older client, running 10.5.8 with no wish to upgrade to 10.6, as there are some software compatibility issues (Adobe CS2, Parallels 3) and no budge to update software. ical has never been able to connect to the ical server reliably - after the first update/sync, no further updates are possible.
* It is not possible to disable alarms to the group calendar in ical. Option-i, uncheck the box, and 30 seconds later the box is checked again. Each user has their own "personal" calendar in the group calendar, and some users like to have alarms. It is not possible to disable those alarms for other users.
Hope someone can help. All in all, I am not particularly impressed with SL server.

Could you please follow these step by step process?

6. Connect the device and try

Nokia N95 Wlan Wizard has stopped working

Ive had my phone since July and my wlan wizard had been working perfectly up till yesterday. I checked the wlan wizard details and it says the signal is strong 100% and my network is named etc, there does not seem to be a problem there. Everytime i try to start web browsing the browser wont load, the screen refreshes but just stays on the Wlan Wizard screen.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this??

Have you configured your access point prior to browsing the internet? The wizard only tells what is the available WLAN access point(SSID), you have to select which one you wanted to use be it secured or open.

Remote Desktop Printer Redirection Stops Working Randomly on Server 2008 R2

We have a MS Windows Server 2008 R2 that is used SOLELY as a Terminal Services remote desktop server onto our network. It is used for employees who are off site and need to use the networked company software. VPN works, but is extremely slow for this software.
Over the past week, the redirected printers function has repeatedly stopped on this server. The employees need this to print to their own local printers. It will eventually restart itself, but after several hours. To get it started faster, I have to restart
the server.
I've done this maybe 6 time since last Monday. This has never been an issue before, and I cannot think of any change that may have occurred that could cause this.
The Event Viewer says this:
The Remote Desktop license server cannot update the license attributes for user "DrewR" in the Active Directory Domain "XXXX.main". Ensure that the computer account for the license server is a member of Terminal Server License Servers group
in Active Directory domain "XXXX.main".
If the license server is installed on a domain controller, the Network Service account also needs to be a member of the Terminal Server License Servers group.
If the license server is installed on a domain controller, after you have added the appropriate accounts to the Terminal Server License Servers group, you must restart the Remote Desktop Licensing service to track or report the usage of RDS Per User CALs.

I've never looked at the Event Viewer on this server, but it is littered with messages such as this, and has been for months and months, so if this IS the issue, then it sure took its sweet time affecting anything.

Why did apple trailers and quicktime stop working together all of a sudden?

I'm running Chrome and Firefox and Apple Trailers suddenly stopped launching HD trailers through Quicktime X. It was working automatically a few weeks ago. The only info i can find on the net is years old. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone fix it?

I've been having the same problem, I think since updating to Lion. HD trailers will only load through Safari, no other browser.

LR5 and PS6 stopped working together. How to fix?

I use PS6 as an external editor with LR and have done so without issues until yesterday where I go to edit a RAW file on PS and PS either doesn't open at all or I get an lengthy error message.
I have reloaded LR, but the problem persists. I thought I might try to reinstall PS6, but I have the perpetual license and all I am finding in the download section is PS6 CC versions.
EDIT/ Update : I was able to find and reinstall PS6, but the problem persists. When I go to Photo > Edit In > Photoshop CS6 it starts to open then closes. Eventually a LR dialogue box will come up that says: The file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop CS6 could not be launched.

You can try a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
