Palm sold a Bluetooth Card which is no longer a current model.  It is available from third party sellers, but the support page does not list the Tungsten W as a compatible device.
As for .mp3, if the Tungsten W's audio jack is capable of stereo output (I don't know if it is or not), you should be able to play .mp3 files stored on a Secure Digital card with the use of an audio player including Aeroplayer, Pocket-Tunes or TCPMP.  Not sure if they are compatible, but they each have trial versions (and TCPMP is freeware).
Let us know if you have any luck.

  • Apple ultra thin keyboard: how can I hit F9 ??

    Hi Folks,
Darned if I can figure this out: how can I use F keys on the ultra thin keyboard while using Windows via Boot Camp--I need the standard F keys for Windows uses, but cannot figure out how to make them work.
Many thanks in advance for asking such a silly question.
    Cheers, Doug

Nevermind--I found the checkbox in the Boot Camp preference pane in Vista, duh...

  • 2011 Lion ultra thin keyboard PC shortcuts

I just got the most recent 2011-2012 Lion version of the Apple Ultra Thin wired keyboard for Christmas but it seems some of the keyboard shortcuts that used to work with Windows don't work anymore. I can't seem to find a page that shows the correspondances like there exists for the older Apple keyboards.
Can anyone point me to a new reference? Thanks!

OK, after a couple of weeks I can confirm the following:
    1. The two ultra-thin keyboards I own both have the same model number: A1243, EMC #2171. However, the unique identifier (serial?) on the underside is different.
    2. The older one was purchased less than two years ago and the new one is 2 weeks old.
    3. I plug the old one in and all the PC shortcuts work.
    4. I plug the new one in and none of the PC shortcuts work.
Can anyone in this universe explain why this is so? Thanks!

  • Wireless keyboard for Palm TX and Adobe reader update?

I am considering purchasing a wireless keyboard for a Palm TX. Will the 3169WW work? If purchased new, what driver will it come with ( what driver do I need?). How universal is this keyboard? I have Adobe Reader 3.05 on the TX. Should I be looking for a newer version. Thank You!
    Post relates to: Palm TX

I just deployed a "new (!) TX and the Palm Bluetooth Keyboard, after years of using the Tungsten T3.  For the most part I'm happy with both.  There's just a little downside to the keyboard, that is, the lack of a key combination to duplicate the Graffiti stroke that involkes shortcuts (these are the mostly custom texts that you set up in Prefs to insert by making the stroke followed by just one or two or three characters).  On the Ultrathin Keyboard, which I used with the T3, the fn-ctrl combination made the shortcut stroke on the screen, after which I could type (for example) "dts," which would insert a date and time stamp.  I think the Palm infrared wireless keyboard does the same thing.  If there is such a functionality on the BT keyboard, it's not documented and I cannot find it.  (I suspect that it may have been left out because it may be mostly used with smartphones, Treo series etc., which have the hardware keyboards and so dispense with Graffiti, but I use the Graffiti shortcuts a lot, so this omission makes me a somewhat unhappy camper.  If anyone has discovered a way to invoke this function on the BT keyboard, I would be very interested.)

  • Cant get Palm desktop to download for a Tungsten-E

hi guys, I have an OLD Tungsten-E, and I cant get the Palm Desktop to download to my new(er) windows 7....any ideas?
    thanks!

When you attempt to HotSync, what happens?  Any error message?
IIRC, the internet connection part was nothing important.. Are you saying Palm Desktop does not appear on your computer if you choose "No."?
Is the HotSync Manager running?  Can you see the red and blue icon in the tool tray of the PC?
Might try a "Clean Uninstall"/reinstall of Palm Desktop.
Here are the clean uninstall instructions.
You should first make a copy of your data to have just in case something happens. You can find your data files by going to C:\Program Files\Palm or Palm One. Highlight your Palm Desktop username and right click and copy. Then go to your PC desktop, right click on a blank spot and select paste. You can skip the first step above because of the data not being current.
Now you want to uninstall Palm Desktop and remove everything that has to do with Palm Desktop from your computer. Like the above folder, delete the Palm folder. Once this is done, you will need to delete some registry keys from your PC Operating System registry.
Word of warning, going here and deleting the wrong thing can cause your PC to not start up, crashing and deletion of programs and data. If you feel you are unsure of yourself, see if you have a friend that can help you or a PC technician that you can pay to help you. This will show them everything they need to delete. To retain your current Registry settings, we need to do a backup of the Registry.
On the PC, go to start and run type "regedit" without quotes
Highlight MY COMPUTER, go to File --> export. Should pop up with a Save As box. Current location is fine should be in My Documents or you can change to a location you will remember. In the file name box, type "Regbackup[todaysdate]" i.e. Regbackup07072008. Next, the hard part.
The easiest way to make sure your working with the correct key, highlight the key i.e. palm quick install, and press delete on your keyboard. It will ask you, are you sure. Say yes. Do the same thing for all keys below.
If you make a mistake, stop what you are doing. And call a PC technician. BUT do not turn off your computer.
The reg keys are as follows (Note: some of theses reg keys will not be here but if they are delete them)
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Palm Quick Install *
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\PalmOne File Transfer * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Palm * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Palm, Inc. * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PalmDesktopAutorun * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\palmOne * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PalmSource * HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PalmSource or anything else that says palm
    Next reboot your computer
Then reinstall your Palm desktop from the CD and do a hotsync. If it asks you for a username and you synced your device before, put in 'test" if you did not sync before you create a hotsync name.

  • Micro DataPad Mini Keyboard for Palm m105 Series

I have the Micro DataPad Mini Keyboard and I need to install drivers.  I can't seem to find anything on the palm website.  Can anyone help me please?  I know the palm is outdated but I can't afford a new one right now and I need it to help me keep my son's doctor appointments organized.
THANKS in advance for any assistance.

Hi, and welcome to the Palm Community Forums.
That is not a Palm product, so you wouldn't find the drivers here, even if it was not an older device.
Your best bet is to either try to find a disc from a third-party seller (using Google perhaps), or inquire with the developer whom I believe is Micro Innovations.
    Good luck.

  • IPad can't discover logitech ultra thin keyboard cover

My iPad 2 wouldn't start up this morning. It was replaced at the Apple store and, while setting it up, I upgraded to iOS 7.6. After finishing setting it up, I tried to connect to my Logitech Ultra Thin Keyobard Cover, but it does not show up under devices. I've turned the keyboard off and on several times, but no luck. I shut it down and started up again, but same problem. Everything else seems to be working fine. I really need to be able to use the logitech keyboard since I've integrated my iPad into my teaching and other professional activities. Any ideas? is this an iOS 7.6 issue?

Well, nevermind. It's been automatically connecting for so long I completely forgot there's a bluetooth button...

  • Can't open pdf attachment on Palm TX with Adobe For Palm download

I downloaded Adobe for Palm OS (v. 3.0) to open email pdf attachments, but am getting error message: Attachment (not supported in this version) winmail.dat
So can not open any pdf attachments.
Tried getting mail via VersaMail and via m.comcast.net - same problem.
    Using Vista, Palm TX
    Thanks

Adobe for Palm is an ancient program that cannot read raw .pdf files.  It only works with a desktop component that converts pdf files that the old adobe program can read on a Palm.
Look at the free "PalmPDF" at freewarepalm.com.  It can read pdf files by itself.
(I'd also suggest you delete Adobe from your Palm as it's caused a lot of problems for many users)

  • External keyboard for Palm Centro

I've read a few reviews on Amazon on the Palm wireless keyboards (Palm 3245WW) saying they don't work as advertised and that Palm no longer makes them/supports them and was totally not helpful in resolving any of the issues. Does anyone know of an external keyboard that will work with the Centro? Or new drivers that resolve these problems? IR, Bluetooth, wired....I don't care. My wife has the phone and texts a lot and the phone keyboard is extremely painful for her to use for long periods of time.
    Post relates to: Centro (Sprint)

Hi, and welcome to the Palm Support Community.
Everywhere you go, even here, you'll find people who have problems for one reason or another (user error, wrong driver, other third-party software incompatibilities, actual hardware issues) pairing the two devices.  But that particular keyboard is compatible with the Centro.  Searching on the Forums here will yield threads evidencing the fact that users have successfully paired the keyboard with their Centro.
Just realize that the Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard is no longer a current Palm model.  Here is the device's support page where you can download the latest driver, etc.:

  • Palm m125 - installed keyboard driver = palm 'hung' in preferences

    hey,
i've just installed the keyboard driver(192 for mac) downloaded from the palm site. after hotsynch i reset the palm and then find myself stuck in the preferences screen.
i can change the preferences and even flip to other palm apps so long as i hit the physical buttons, (calendar, calculator etc), BUT... i can't get to the over all list of apps, can't USE the keyboard...
    - half the palm is frozen???
this is a bit of a miserable situation. i finally have an original fold out keyboard which i'm desperate to get using after months of struggling with an infra red 'pockettop' that had hissy fits and rarely played fair..
    can anyone please advise!
    thanks.....
    Post relates to: Palm m125

Hopefully this thread isn't completely dead after a couple of years.
I'm having the exact same issue as Sam except I don't have the luxury of a memory card (or maybe I do and just don't know it, I'm still getting used to this device, but from what I can tell I don't have one).  And I've found that it's not so much that the screen is frozen but that the stylus is no longer centered and is in fact off about half an inch down and to the left from where it should be, which makes it impossible to press the 'application' button on the screen to reset the stylus and see that my keyboard drivers have, in fact, been installed.
Any ideas? I'm getting tired of soft, warm and hard reboots every ten minutes- which can't be good for the device either...
     Thanks for any help!

  • Windows XP Pro Desktop - Screen Resolution and Color Quality - After Palm 6.2 Installation for Palm TX

Recently upgraded my Palm software to 6.2. for my TX.  Now when I sync to Outlook, my windows desktop reverts to lower quality screen resolution (640 x 480 pixels) and lower color quality (8 bit).
I then make the necessary display changes for my windows desktop back to higher quality screen resolution (1280 x 800 pixels) and highest color quality (32 bit).  Everything is fine until I sync again or shut down the computer and restart, causing the windows desktop to revert back to the lower quality screen.
Any thoughts on possible solutions to this annoying problem.
    Thank you
    Post relates to: Palm TX

    Hello!
First thing to do is to update the display driver for your computer.  Also make sure to use 96 DPI for the DPI setting, using another setting can cause this issue too.

  • Apple ultra thin keyboard with usb

I got an apple ultrathin keyboard with usb, Ik like it very much, but I'm working with windows XP. I cannot use all the keys and specially the one to make a printscreen.I looked it up on the Apple site and there it says to use

Umm... Search is your friend also.....

  • Logitech Ultra thin Keyboard Cover

This paired very easily with my iPad 2 and has been great. Not so much with my new Apple TV - searches for hours to no avail. My iPad Settings says the keyboard is Discoverable. Ideas?

    Thanks for the insight.
Yet another reason why Apple ***** and will hopefully go the way of Steve Jobs soon.
Seriously? "We'll let you pair a Logitech keyboard with our iPad but when you pay another $120 to buy our Apple TV gadget we'll FYU by not letting that work". Absolute arrogance and disdain for consumers.
Can't wait to take my Apple TV back to the store for a refund. Just wish I hadn't wasted money last year buying my first iPad then more on the keyboard 6 months later to make it more useful...uh....until now.

  • PC Insert key equivalent on the ultra thin apple keyboard (german layout)

i was working on a windows server 2008 via a remote desktop connection using CoRD.
somehow i managed to activate the overwrite mode (where you don't normally type but overwrite everything right hand side of the cursor).
and i struggled to deactivate because i couldn't find the key.
(as a workaround i was able to deactivate using Fn+m on the builtin keybaord of my MBP). but how can i do that with my external keyboard?
i surely have activated it with this external keyboard, so there must be a way to disable it.
some googling turned out it's the "help" key. but since this ultra thin keyboard doesn't have any help key but a Fn key at that position. (the Fn+m combo has no effect when pressed on the external keyboard).

    Hallo neongrau,
according to this http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1216 it's fn + enter.
    Hope it helps
Regnet's bei euch auch gerade ?
