Palm Z22 synch. with Outlook 2007

My old HP 4700 series PDA has died.  Fortunately, I've been backing it up to Outlook 2007.  I tried to replace it with an HP 111, but it simply would not synch. with Outlook and I eventually sent it back.  I really don't need WiFi on the PDA, so I'm thinking about going with a much simpler model and the Palm Z22 has been recommended.  I just want to make sure that it will easily synch with Outlook 2007 so I don't have to reenter all the contacts, calendar entries and notes that are presently on Outlook.  Has anyone had any problems that I should know about?  Any comments about the Z22 would also be appreciated.  Thanks.

Yes, the z22 will work with Outlook. However, Palm is not selling the z22 anymore. You might be able to find it on ebay...

  • Z22 hotSync with Outlook 2007

I run Outlook 2007 on Windows XP.  My old reliable m515 stopped syncing the calendar with my organization's Office 2007 upgrade.  So I  - apparently foolishly - upgraded to a Palm Z22.  It also will not sync the calendar with Outlook 2007.  Extremely frustrating.  Any solutions, or has this wonderful technology apparently gone obsolete way before its time?
    Thanks!

I am not sure what you are asking but my data is in my LifeDrive device and I can sync it to a Palm Desktop but I need to sync it to my Outlook calendar at work which is the 2007 version. I have been using my LifeDrive for approximately two years and it has alot of information regarding dates in it that I need on my Outlook calendar. When I sync my device with the Outlook Calendar it only shows events that I have just put in it will not show previous events?

  • Palm m100 HotSync with Outlook 2007

I have a Palm m100 which I routinely HotSynced with an old Windows ME computer.  That computer died, and I now have a Windows 7 machine with Outlook 2007.  What software should I load on my new PC in order to retrieve my Contacts from the Palm m100 and copy the Contacts into Outlook 2007?
    Post relates to: Palm m100

Unfortunately what you are asking for is something that we do not support. As a suggestion on how this might be accomplished you would need to install Palm Desktop 6.2. Normally that may be enough. Also we have not done testing on windows 7 to know if Palm Desktop will work on it reliably.
It also might be time for you to upgrade your device to push the chances up of this working correctly. Palm Desktop 6.2 was not designed to work with the m100 while the TX and Tungsten E2 where. Some older device may work due to other customers on this site stating they have it working for them.

  • M505 - synch with Outlook 2007?

Hello ... I've recently restarted and reinstalled my old (but barely used) m505 Palm. After several start-p issues (http://forumhttp://forums.palm.com/t5/Palm-OS-WinMo-Hardware/m505-Start-up-questions/m-p/328108#U328108), I've gotten my unit to reboot and operate.
My question is synching my Outlook Calendar, contacts and email to the Palm. I'm a bit confused on how to do this ... I've been to the update pages and downloaded the Palm OS update and the Outlook 2007 update ... but I haven't installed yet. I have installed Palm Desktop on my PC.
My configuration ... Windows XP Home edition (SP3); Outlook 2007
I can't figure out if I need to go through the desktop or if I go against Outlook directly?
How do I go about this (or is there documentation available?)

More information ... it appears nothing is really synching at all. I put Addresses in the Palm desktop by importing a Outlook export, and ran the hotsynch. Nothing appeared in the Palm device even though the HOTSYNCH operation ran without any errors.
I thought you are trying to sync with Outlook...?  If you've told Palm Desktop to switch to Outlook, addresses placed in Palm Desktop would not synch to your device.

Are there multiple Hotsync accounts on the computer?  Check both the HotSync Manager/Custom and Palm Desktop to see if the User name is correct.  Perhaps there are multiple Outlook accounts?

  • Mail synch with Outlook 2007 vs. Server

Hey there, I'd like to sort out an issue I'm having with the eMail sync process between Outlook and my iPhone. I hope I'll be able to get this across ...
I like to use my PC as my primary eMail machine, at the same time being able to synch my emails to the iPhone. What I don't like to see is my iPhone synching eMail directly with my eMail Server.
I have connected the iPhone to the PC, using iTunes and I am synching contacts, calender and email through iTunes to the iPhone. However, it seems my iPhone is synching directly with my eMail Server (which sits at my ISP) rather than with my PC. Is there any way to stop this and to make sure the iPhone will synch eMail only with the PC not with the sever?
    Configuration is:
    PC with Vista, Outlook 2007
    iPhone 1.1.4
    Thx !

There is no syncing of actual mail files through iTunes. The settings in iTunes for mail are to configure the Mail accounts on the phone.
The Mail application is a mail client just as you would find on a computer. When you configure the mail account settings, the iPhone accesses your mail servers and retrieves/sends mail.

  • HT1296 My contacts are synching with Outlook 2007. The synch appears to complete but does not actually update the contact data.

I am having trouble with synching contacts between Outlook 2007 and iPhone5s via iTunes. The synch appears to work but data is not actually updating in either place.

The information I received gave me the courage to proceed with download to allow my handheld to sync with my new Outlook 2007 running on my laptop.  It worked and I still seem to be able to sync with my Outlook 2002 version on my desktop system.
Next problem is that I have some reurring appointments on my calendar that will NOT delete.  I have tried all methods I can find and nothing works.  Even if I get to the point where it asks if I want to open "this occurrence or open the series" (then save and delete), the darned things seem to be lurking in the future.  I have tried changing the end date or the recurrence schedule and it acts like I have entered them day by day and I can't successfully change the entire series.  Any ideas?
Thanks so much for the help with the previous issue.  You took a worry off my shoulders.

  • Private records are no longer private after sync with Outlook 2007

I just synced my Palm Zire 71 with Outlook 2007 for the first time.  All went well except that my private notes were no longer private.  This means that anyone who gets a hold of my handheld and downloads to their Outlook would have all my private information.  Is there a fix for this?
    Post relates to: Zire 71

    Well, I fixed my problem.
I'm not sure how or why, and I'm not sure it'll work for anyone else, but here's what I did.
    1. I started by making a backup copy of my Outlook calendar, as I always do.
    2. Next, I deleted all the appointments from my Outlook calendar, except for two. No special reason why I left those two in; it was just convenient and I don't think it made any difference.
    3. Next, I sync'd Outlook with my iPhone. This produced an empty calendar on the iPhone (except for the two leftover appointments). This is a big step forward. Previously, syncing would produce no change on the iPhone. Now the two calendars actually match, so something significant has changed.
    4. Finally, I opened the backed-up Outlook calendar side-by-side with my current (mostly empty) Outlook calendar and copy-pasted all the appointments back in. One final sync and now Outlook and iPhone have the same calendar, including all appointments!
    5. To test, I made a small change to the Outlook calendar, sync'd, and the change appeared on the iPhone. Then I made a small change to the iPhone calendar, sync'd, and the change appeared in Outlook. Problem solved!
    6. My guess is that deleting (almost) everything from Outlook's calendar must have cleared up some subtle data error. Fortunately, pasting all the appointments back in didn't bring the error back. The delete-copy-paste process seems to "scrub" the data and fix the iTunes sync problem. At least in this case.

  • Syncing with Outlook 2007

I have tried everything I can to sync my Palm Tungsten E with Outlook 2007 --- downloaded the "patch" from Palm, downloaded the "most recent version" of Palm desktop. But I still cannot get Outlook calendar items to go to the Palm. I get a log that says "ok datebook" and "ok backup" but there are not appointments. It appears to be syncing with the Palm desktop, but I cannot get it to go to Outlook and grab things.

  • Trouble synching Palm Treo 755p with outlook 2003

I got a new Treo (replacement for bad one) and swiched to a Vista 64 bit windows so I had to set up bluetooth commumication for synching (usb doesn't work with Vista 64 bit) .  When I synch it does so with the Palm desktop and I do not see any selection options to pick Outlook in the Hotsync manager (v 7.0.2).  I already set up the Bluetooth connection to go to outlook but nothing changed when I synch'd...still went to palm desktop calander and contacts etc.  Nothing happening in Outllok.   I know I've got to do it with Palm software but dont seem to be able to find the option to synch with outlook.
Appreciate assistance.  This is frustrating and every day that goes by I have more and more stuff on computer that is not on my Palm handset.  Thanks.

  • Iphone calendar does not synch with outlook

Starting on Feb 1, my iPhone (5s) does not synch with Outlook (2013). Have tried many things:
    1. Building new Outlook data file (.pst)
    2. Changing synch settings in iTunes
    3. Changing USB cables
4.Removing/reinstalling iTunes and other Aplle software
Problem seems to have started after upgrading iOS and iTunes.
    Any idea?

Yes, that does make sense. You can transfer data from the old .pst file without saving it as a .pst file. Archive your current .pst. Then save your contacts as vCards, and save your calendar as an iCalendar file. After creating the new .pst file, you can open the old calendar in the new .pst as well as import the vCards back to your contacts.
Last question, did you run the scanpst.exe program to review your .pst file for corruption? You will find that, if I remember correctly, in the Office program folder. You can search for it. Run that, it prompts you for your .pst file and will scan it for problems. But saying that it started on a specific date would lead me to believe it is something you probably added that day. Out of all of the time I've been using Outlook 2007, 2010, and 2013 with my iPhones, and I've had them since the first one, I've only had 2 small events, and copying over the .pst has fixed them both.

  • IPhone will no longer sync with Outlook 2007

I've had my iPhone for about 16 months - the sync with Outlook 2007 worked great until about 3 months ago (I'm guessing previous update to the one that happened today.) No changes to the laptop I synch with - Vista.
In iTunes under the "Info" tab for Calendars I see the message "No supported calendar application can be found."
Normal sync for music works and photo uploading works fine.
    Help!
    Thanks!

  • Sync problems with outlook 2007 calender

I am new in this type of comms.
BUT: I have a Palm Tungsten T5; have Palm Desktop 6.2.2 with the update for Windows7.
I have a sync problem with outlook 2007 calender; contacts, ToDo, memos all ok.
HotSynLog says: there are multi-day repeating records. [i knew that they do not sync, hence i deleted them PRIOR to syncing]
I found the listed records BUT either on dif days and they are "no timed" ones! and NOT multi-days ones.
I deleted them anyway - did a re-sync. With no different result. Still listed - though deleted and now non-existent.
Error code: OLERR: 03-000F (0xaf604005) and others - if this means anything.
    Post relates to: Palm TX

    Hello,
I receive email on my device from two addresses: 1) @sprint.blackberry.net and 2) @charter.net.  When I was having problems similar to those you are experiencing, I had these two addresses listed under Default Services - Calendar (CICAl) - Messaging (CMIME).  These addresses were @sprint.blacberry.net and @charter.net. Once I followed the steps previously referenced, only one email address(@sprint.blackberry.net) appeared under the (CICAI) and (CMMIE) default setting.  Reference to @charter.net was removed.  My syncs have worked correctly since then; however, I only two way synce with the device and Outlooks.  I also continue to get emails from both addresses without a problem.
If you don't mind giving up the Yahoo calendar, I would do the same.  If you want to continue using the Yahoo calendar, I'm guessing that it must be selected in the Default Services - Calendar (CICAI) before performing a sync.  Likewise for your @sprint.blackberry.net address; it also must be selected in the Default Services prior to performing a device to Outlook sync.
    I hope this helps.
