Palm Zire 71 and Will not Sync with information on old Laptop

I can't get the Palm Zire 71 software on my old laptop to sync with my new Cradle that I bought on eBay. I get a message that says something like 'The connection between your handheld computer and the desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again."
All my info is on the Palm Zire software on my old computer and I want to sync and move to my new laptop. Please help!

Bummer because now you can not back up. But you can put the device in recovery mode and have itunes restore it. Turn the device off while the device is off hold down the home button while holding the home button down connect the cable to the phone and keep holding home button until you see itunes logo and cable image on the on the phone. I can tell that they are connecting in the cloud because an app I just downloaded on the phone is showing up in itunes on the computer.

You don't need to access your e-mail account, just get into your Apple account and change the e-mail address. If you can't access your Apple account, then you have a bigger issue to contend with.

Ipod will not update and will not sync with photos

I had a 5th gen 60gb ipod video that died and was switched out for a new one at the apple store. now when i plug it into my powerbook G4(667) it keep coming up with a window stating (can not update , error code -208) I've taken my ipod to apple store and it was working fine on thier machine. but can not get it working on mine. reinstalled itune, ipod up to date. it will not sync up with my photos and will not load some of my mp3 files. tech support hasn't helped much. tried few options with preference but still not working.

I just needed to move some files around!

Zire 72s will not sync with Vista Home Premium

Hi, I tried to sync my Zire 72 with my PC and it wont work ....I am pretty bad with computers, so if anyone could help me (in simple terms please). I have no clue what I'm doing. Thanks

To check to see if your computer is Bluetooth ready, a bluetooth icon will appear in the system tray or you can check for a bluetooth application in your control panel.
If you are unable to locate any bluetooth functions on your computer, you may want to contact your orignal manufacture of the computer to confirm. If you do not have bluetooth built into the computer you can still get the computer bluetooth enabled. To do this will require the purchase of a Bluetooth dongle. These dongles can be purchased at your local electronics stores (usually) or can be ordered on the web.
The Bluetooth dongle will connect to your computer via USB and allow bluetooth communication between your handheld and the computer. This will be the only way to sync your Zire to 64 bit Vista. All you need to do is pair your device with the bluetooth dongle then initial the hotsync from your device. You may need to try plugging the dongle into different USB ports if connection issues occur. Movie TITLE is in GRAY and will NOT SYNC with iPod

Hi Folks,
Just imported a short home movie into my Movie Folder in iTunes for Windows. It shows-up in iTunes just fine, and it PLAYS - in iTunes - just fine.
Trouble is...when I sync my U2 Video iPod, the *Title for that home movie is in gray* - not black like the others. I check the box so this movie will sync, I hit sync...and it does NOT transfer to the U2 iPod.
All other movies (titles in BLACK) transfer/sync just fine. The one in GRAY does not.
I did try the "Make an Apple Ipod Version" i.e. Convert...and the file it creates exhibits the same behavior: it shows up in my Movie folder, I can play it WITHIN iTunes for Windows, but the Title of said movie is in GRAY when I attempt to sync and it will NOT transfer. Please help! Anyone? Thanks!

Hi - The first one is .mp4 and then when that didn't "sync" (but DID play in itunes) I used the itunes menu choice to "convert" to ipod use...that one came out with an .mv4 extension (both files same size and both say H.264 codec in 'info').
So,to sum-up, neither the mp4 nor the mv4 would sync to my iPod...yet both would appear - and play just fine - within itunes. Upon syncing, the title of both goes gray.

If there are any photos in the Camera Roll you will get a prompt like you mentioned when connecting your iPad to your computer. It is indeed a good reminder to save those photos to your computer. But if you don't want to copy those photos to your computer then dismiss the window and start iTunes. Once iTunes is running you should e able to sync your iPad.

My iphone and ipad synced contacts with a wire flawlessly until I changed to a new PC. I work for Oracle so I cannot config to use iCloud. I checked the Library Persistent ID on the new laptop and it is the same as the old one. Do I need to wipe my devices and start over?

Syncing to iCloud has nothing to do with who your employer is. That's just a silly and unintelligent statement.
Move all your data from the old computer to the new computer then sync the device or setup iCloud syncing.

I recently bought a PC laptop with Windows 7 OS. I transferred my backed-up Outlook contacts. notes, etc. and then synced my iPhone with my new PC. However the iPhone did not sync. I now have 4 contacts folders and I am wondering if ths is the problem. Previously I had no problem syncing with my old PC (windows Vista OS) which had only 1 folder, and I am wondering if this is the problem. I tried going to Add-Ons but I was not sure what to do. I have tried every combination with my iPhone and my sync menus but to no avail. I use my iPhone for business and find Oulook a powerful tool, but now my iPhone is useless without being able to sync with Outlook. Any suggestions? Thank You

Iphone 4 will not charge past 5% and will not sync with my Macbook Pro

It will also not show up in itunes..
The liquid damage indicators are both white... when I compared the ports on my phone and my friends phone there are no differences that I can see... And I've cross tested every cable and charger with another phone and they are all good.

My Ipod touch was feeling really hot and then all of a sudden the screen turned white and started flashing with my apps still open but faded and unaccessible. My screen was a blurry like it looks on tv when you lose connection. Then the ipod kept making the charging noise over and over again and wouldn't charge. It then turned off. Then it put itself on the needs to be charged symbol but it was flashing and then it stopped showing up. I have tried everything-youtube, dfu mode,( it wont even sync to itunes) and it still wont turn on after hours of charging. The screen has been black for hours now. I hope somebody can help me. Let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour try a reset (both buttons) and connect to computer and try to restore. If screen is still white you very likely have a hardware problems.

Iphone 4s will not sync with Itunes, but old Ipod does??

Hi, after the recent software upgrade, the iPhone displays the iTunes and plug logo. We have followed the instructions to try and get rid but to no avail.
we have a really old iPod and tested that, and it syncs ok with iTunes.
Does anyone else have any ideas on how to get this Iphone working again.

I have an I touch and will not sync with my new ford truck. I get an error message stating the accessory is not supported.

Does Ford say the iPod model you have with its iOS is compatible? You likely have to wait for an iOS update from Apple or an update to your car's system from Ford.

TS1363 My Iphone 5 will not sync with my Itunes. I have updated my drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled my Itunes, done all the necessary steps. Ever since the new software update it will not sync and will not even show my Iphone when i open Itunes.
