PAM_Authentication Error when trying to sudo

Whenever I try to sudo, I get a pam_authenticate: module unknown error.
I have lots of other oddities with my terminal as well, but does anybody know what the deal with this is?

I have commented out the first line on the /etc/pam.d/login, sshd, and sudo.
The first line looks like this:
# login: auth account password session
However, still no dice. I'm getting nowhere. I have never seen anything like this. Other than the weirdness with the terminal and remote logins, the machine seems to behave perfectly.
I created a new thread because I'm not sure they are all the same problem. I assume they are, but if someone sees a title with a specific problem that they ran into, then I may get help from that angle.

Right. If you are using delegated privs and sudo, make sure that sudo is configured to pass on the PERL5LIB and ORACLE_HOME environment variables at least.

Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. I created a new @me.com address today for a seperate Apple ID account. I am needing to sign into the iTunes Store, but I keep getting a response that says:
"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (5002)."
Any ideas as to what's going on here?

Thank you for your response Carolyn; however, that article does not fix my problem. I am getting this error when trying to sign into the iTunes Store on my Mac.
I get the same problem when signing into the Store on the iPad or iPhone. I simply can't log in, but when I go to iCloud.com or the Apple ID login on Apple.com, it works.

Error when trying to update or download any app

I'm getting an Error when trying to update or download any app from Mac App Store
Every time I try to update xCode to version 6.2 but I get this error :
The server gave an error during download: 503 Service Unavailable.
So I tried to download a random app from the App Store but I got the same error message.
So any advices ?

Sorry to hear your troubles updating and downloading apps from the Mac App Store. Based on when you were doing that, it looks like the Mac App Store was experiencing difficulties. It is not currently so you should be able to upgrade with out issues now. If you experience this in the future, look at the page below to start you on figuring out if it is something on your end or Apple’s end.

Error when trying to access the RBAC User editor and Message tracking

I am getting an error when trying to access the RBAC User editor and Message tracking on the Web Mgmt interface. I verified that the admin account trying to access is in the Organization Management group and has the correct Role Assignment Policy applied.
I searched through this thread below and saw that matching the msExchRoleLink and msExchUserLink attributes fixed the issue.

However I have another environment where this is not the case and works just fine; the msExchUserLink attribute has a value of CN=Organization Management,OU=Microsoft Exchange Security Groups,DC=Domain,DC=Local which is different as per the issue outlined in
the above thread so I am not convinced that this will work and also don’t want to blindly edit something in adsiedit without being sure.

I then had a look at the IIS permissions for ecp and owa. The account did not have permissions so I added them there but still got the same error. I’ve also tried all of the above with a newly-created account but still got the same issue.
Any ideas as to what the above event log is specifically referring to?

If you want to search message tracking logs, the account you use should be a member of the role groups below:
Organization Management role group, Records Management role group, Recipient Management role group.

Unable to load media error when trying to play a video in Sharepoint 2013

My team consistently gets an error when trying to play a video in SharePoint 2013. I can upload it, pick a thumbnail and save it. When anyone else goes to the intranet site and tries to play the video, they get a media failed to load error.
I have tried mp4 and wmv formats. I at first thought it had to do with the codec used in Camtasia to create the video, so I encoded it in Microsoft Encoder to a wmv and it still fails. All of the videos I upload fail for other users. If someone else uploads
a video, I get the error and cannot play the video. If I look at the library in Explorer, the video file is missing but the subdirectories for additional content and thumbnails are present. For the videos I upload and can play but everyone else
gets the error, I see those subdirectories as well as the video file itself.

I keep receiving security errors when trying to open a pdf.

I keep receiving a security error when trying to run my javascript program, the function previously worked, but now creates an error after I entered the addWaterMark function. I have put my whole code below for my script.
The basic function is to load a text file into an array which has the path and file location, open the document, add a watermark, save the file, close the file, then repeat for the next array position.
I am using Acrobat Standard so I am unable to debug using the console, therefore I am struggling to understand what I am doing wrong. I will point out that I am not a fluent programmer, only have a basic knowledge of programming.

I have found the error, you are quite correct I had an extra letter in the filename, I thought I'd checked this but just shows that sattention to detail is the key.

Error when trying to convert excel files to pdf

I'm getting the following error when trying to convert .xls and .xlsx files to pdf, using the "Create PDF" option:
Error message from the primary converter:
ALC-PDG-010-012-PDFMaker reported an error while printing the document.
Word, Powerpoint and Text files convert without any issues. Also I'm able to opent the excel files and convert them to pdf using the acrobat option in excel.

MS Office Version: 2007

It is always difficult when you need to convert multiple xls files to pdf or multiple sheets to pdf. If you have a single file to convert then the best method would be to copy your data to doc file and then convert it into PDF . If you have multiple files to convert then it is really difficult to convert all the files manually. Then the better method would be to use converter tool to convert excel to pdf . By doing this you can convert many files in just few seconds.

On Windows Platform, encounters error when trying to open an Indesign document created from MAC

Hi all,
On Windows Platform, encounters error when trying to open an Indesign document in INDD format created from Mac. Error received "Either the file does not exist, you do not have permission, or the file may be in use by other application". I am currently using Adobe Indesign CC 9.2 Trial version.
Kindly advise how can i open this document on windows platform and allows me to edit the document.

Normally there is no problem to open any INDD opening on Windows, when created on the Mac.
But Mac user are often not aware on the naming limitations. A file name must not contain /, \, |, :
It should not contain any extended character, it is not a primary problem but will be, if something links to that file, so avoid also: ÄÖÜäöüß+&
You can use all other non A-Z a-z, 0-9 and - and _
I personally would also recommend to avoid spaces.
This is valid for the INDD file itself but also for all linked content.

Have you configured your SLD? Check JCO Destination error out or search for "com.sap.tc.webdynpro.serverimpl.wdc.sl.SystemLandscapeFactory.checkStatus" in the SDN forums.

CUOM error when trying to poll performance data from IPCC Express

Hi Network Professionals,
Using CUOM 2.1 SP1 I get an error when trying to access the Performance menu for a IPCC Express Server in the Service Level View.
Error Message:
Performance polling is not supported for the current capability.
The server is fully monitored and I get enviroment, system, interface and application information.
I the Polling Parameters menu (Voice Utilization Settings) the only parameter listed is "Communication Manager and Registred MGCP Gateway Utilization".
The IPCC Express version is 5.0.(2)SR01_Build045.
Is anything missing on the IPCC server? I have only configured it with SNMP.

well I bother you because I have a problem similar to that raised earlier, I have a vm INTAL CUOM 2.1 SP1 and the problem is that computers add-in-law his administration IPCC view the service level ... but when I fall into a custom group created the group and add the teams the same ip ipcc already visible, in my group I want to generate displays custom cloud but do not show me the equipment, except that I want to add IVR servers and I do not under any circumstances the samples .. lso probe and reset everything and anything related services, install the SP! and nothing.
