hi
I need to pan an image horizontally  to left instead of to right , is this possible ?

No, not with Pan Only. You can try it with Pan and Zoom.

  • When panning full left and right in logic pro 9, how can i stop one side from bleeding into the other?

I'm creating a Click track for live performance. I Have 3 audio tracks panned full left (-64) and a Click track panned full right (63) but when I play the track they bleed into each other. If anyone knows a way around this that'd be great

    Eddie,
I just ran a test on my G5 Logic system (Logic 9.02) with an internal RME PCI 8in/8out Audio Card and I get perfect separation bouncing to a stereo audio file using standard panning. Click on one side and a couple of crunchy guitars on the other. Each side is completely separate.
So, it seems to point to your hardware unless you have some other audio routing that we've missed.
I'm re-doing my setup so I may try a couple of other tests as I go along.

  • Panning from left to right only

    Hi,
I have a still image that I imported into my iMovie project. I was wondering if there was a way to do a pan from left to right with no loss in image size (i.e. no panning into the image).
I suspect, having tried to work with the Ken Burns, Fit and Crop functions, that this is not possible. But was hoping one of the forum users had cleverly figured out how to do this type of panning.
    Thank you!

    Open Automator
    Choose File>new
Highlight Image Capture Plug-in, then click Choose.
In the Actions Variables panel on the left, click Photos
In the panel that appears next to the Actions panel, scroll down to Pad Images (choices are listed alphabetically), highlight, click save, then name it and save
When you want to use this plug-in, open Image Capture (I keep the icon in the dock), then connect your camera.
Next follow File>Import>workflow saved as the Image Capture plug-in
Click import and the images will be 'padded' as they are imported.
Hope this helps you get started at least.

  • Can one set "Navigation Pane Buttons" Left Sidebar to 'Default Hidden' and 'Not Open' upon opening Any .pdf document?

Can one set "Navigation Pane Buttons" Left Sidebar to 'Default Hidden' and 'Not Open' upon opening Any .pdf document?

Photoshop has to have full administrator rights to have read/write access.
This means you need to run Photoshop CS5.1 in an Administrator account and set it up to "Run as Administrator."
    1. Close Photoshop if it's open.
    2. Right click on your Photoshop CS5.1 launch icon then select "Run as Administrator" from the context menu. (You will have to enter Admin Password if UAC is enabled to change this setting.)
    3. Launch Photoshop CS5.
    4. See if you create and save a document.
Even if you are in an Administrator account you have to do this as Vista's Admin account isn't really the Super Admin as it is in XP so you have to elevate the rights by selecting "Run as Administrator". This setting is sticky so you should only have to do this once. I am not sure why CS3 is suddenly acting as if it does't have Admin rights unless you are running it in a new account that isn't an administrator or maybe uninstalled (cleanScript?) then reinstalled.
If can't create or save a document, check that the account that Photoshop is in is an Administrator account.
To check if you are in an Administrator account...
    1. Type user account in your Vista or Windows7 start search bar. (Start search bar is at the bottom of the panel that opens when you click the start Windows start globe located on the far left hand side of your Windows task bar.)
    2.  Click on "User Accounts" which should show up at the top of the list. This will open the dialog to User Accounts where you can "Change Your Account Type". If UAC (User Account Control) is turned on, you will need to enter the Admin password to change this setting.

  • Panning from left to right speakers

We are presently having problems panning form left to right speakers. We have a t.c. Konnekt 6 midi interface and this is linked through an amp to speakers. By playing my guitar directly into the Konnekt 6, we can pan from L to R speakers whilst playing - no problem! However, when recording to GB, through the Konnekt 6, when panning from L to R, the sound remains constant through both speakers. We have checked and double-checked the settings in line with the text books - and also tried to mix and match settings - e.g. we have tried both stereo and mono in the "input source" and with the "monitor" setting at both 'on' and 'off' - yet we cannot find a combination of settings that allows us to record and then pan L to R.
Recording itself is fine - we can lay tracks, no problem. It is just the matter of being able to pan when it comes to mastering.
    Can anyone help, please?????
    Thanks

how have you connected the Konnekt 6 to the mac?
(btw, it's an audio interface, not a midi interface... that was a little confusing)

  • Panning Hard Left, but still faintly presnet in Right

    Hi there,
I've done everything I can think of and my click is still faintly present in the Right side. I've been making backing tracks for our band. I have a simple click counting in for 8 and it's panned hard Left. I have the Track Pan selected and it's at -64. I don't have any effects on it. Echo, Reverb, etc. All are off on the track and on the Master. It's faint, but it's still there. This is annoying because when we play these tracks live, even though the house mixer has the left channel muted, the click bleeds into the right just a tiny bit.
    Any ideas?
    thanks. collintowne

Yes, that's right. The Left channel is for monitors only. The Right channel goes to monitors and house mix. Actually, the Left goes to he house as well, it's just muted. We use in-ears with Aviom so leaking through the mics is not an issue.
You can actually test this out with headphones too. It has nothing to do with it being in the house/monitor mix.
Thanks for your help. any other thoughts???

  • I wish to put my photo albums in alphabetical order.  Advice was to right click on pane at left.   I do not have a left pane on my i-pad and only have touch screen, what do I "right click" with and how do I get a "left pane" in my Photos folder?

I would like to put my i-pad photo albums into alphabetical order.  The advice received previously was to "right click" on an album in the left pane.   I do not have a left pane in my photos folder, how would I get this?   Also I only have touch screen so what would I "right click" with? thank you

I don't have iPhoto on my iPad, so I can't help with that, but you must have looked at advice for a Mac computer? Maybe browse the iPhoto for iOS forum?

  • Why when mixing down video, audio gets panned to left?

I don't know why it happens. I've checked and it's not panned at all before the mix down/render. Any help?

I think it figured it out. If you're doing a stereo project but have the project set to Surround it will mix down with an odd pan to the left. Just an FYI.
I fixed the project properties and now it mixed down with no pan.

  • Problem panning to left and right channels

I'm trying to use GB3 to create click tracks for live performances. I put a click track in the left channel, and add instruments in the right channel. It sounds fine in headphones but when I export to iTunes there are no separated tracks. The click track and all instruments are in both speakers.
How do I keep the tracks separated in an MP3?

    Need more info!
Fully describe your setup and process - are you recording into a USB or FireWire audio interface, using an external click track panned to one side while you record something through the other channel?
What do you mean "no separated tracks" - do you mean you expect different files for each track? Of course, GarageBand only exports one stereo AIFF to iTunes.
Are you saying that you've recorded tracks with hard panned material and when you export they are not panned correctly?

  • Pan from Left to Right

I thought this was possible?  Am I dreaming that I've done this before?

If you use the height of the image as the height of your image container (so the image is wider but not higher than its box), the panning will automatically be restricted to left and right. Is that what you were dreaming of ?

  • All of a sudden I cannot pan sounds left or right. All audio is centered.

I am using logic pro 7 and I tried panning my midi or audio files to the left or right and all sound it centered in the middle. I lost my ability to pan sounds. Any suggestions?

Maybe try looking at your mixer, see if the "mono" buttong is on. Or if you have a Digi002, that the "mono" button is active.
    Cheers

  • Detached audio panning to left side

every time i detach audio from a clip, it pans it all to the left, and i can't find a way to get it back to center, is there something i'm missing here?

I've asked roughly the same question, and it's getting urgent that I get an answer. Have you gotten any advice at all from any source? I've searched this forum and come up with nothing.

  • When I create a calendar, in iphoto 8, I had an information pane lower left corner with date and time of the picture. Can it possibly be that the iphoto developers forgot about that in iphoto 9? This was very helpful when placing images according to date.

Today I updated to the latest iphoto version. The update itself went smooth and nice as one is used to from Apple. But when I wanted to finish my already started calendar, I have encountered two problems. The first is that I can't view the aperture library anymore directly from iphoto. Instead I have to open the iphtoto library in aperture but then my calendar isn't there. So now I have to copy images back and forth. No problem.
However, the old iphoto had a small information area in the lower left corner which was very nice to place images on an exact date. This seems to be gone...?? Really? How am I supposed to sort images according to date and time when I have to back to the library view every time? That's not very convenient..Or am I missing something?
    Thanks for ANY help!
    Patrick

The first is that I can't view the aperture library anymore directly from iphoto.
THat is exceeding strange since iPhoto '08 could not open or share an Aperture library - that ability was first introduced in iPhoto '11 - with the latest version of iPhoto and or Aperture you can open the same library with either application - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5043
In the current version of iPhoto the photos are sorted by date in the film strip - I've not recently done a calendar so do not remember the specifics -

  • Left/Right Panning issues with 1616m and Cubase 4

I've just installed the 1616m into my system and I'm having a serious issue with panning in Cubase. Everything I pan to the right is inaudible. If I pan hard left I get sound out of my left monitor as you'd expect. If I pan center, I hear sound out both the left and right monitor but at half the volume. If I pan right everything is completely inaudible. I have tried removing and installing the drivers. I've tried every combination of VST Connections I can think of and this problem persists. Does anyone have any suggestions? Notably this only happens in Cubase. Outside of Cubase all the audio works just fine. I have my monitors plugged into the Dock 1 outputs.

Ok I got this working but I'm not sure how. I wiped out the Patch DSP mixer strips, redid them all then redid all my VST Connections in Cubase and now it magically works. Looking at it I don't see any difference from how it was before, but its working now so I'm just going to leave it alone!

  • Left to Right Pan effect..

    Hi,
Do anyone know how to create the Panning from Left to Right instead of using Automation on Pan (Automation need to Draw in every specific part)??

    Hey Cooltempo,
NICE trick with the Tremolo — I've just spent about 20 minutes exploring possibilities. That will definitely beat the heck out of HyperDraw curves in lots of cases.
Then, sync to tempo -- I couldn't find it in the Reference. Could you please point out the path, or describe the process?
    MUCH appreciated,
    c
