Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS50 camera profile

I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS50. I am running Lightroom 5 on a 27” Mac Retina 5k.
I got the Adobe DNG converter so I can load the raw files into Lightroom. The only camera profile available to me in Camera Calibration is Adobe Standard. Will a future Lightroom update include anything for my camera?
In the meantime, can you recommend preset settings that would better match my jpeg color and lighting?

This is a user-to-user forum.
Nobody here can tell you what future plans Adobe has for camera profiles for specific cameras.

  • Does Aperture support RAW files from a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ27 camera?

Please can anyone let me know whether Aperture supports RAW files from a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ27 camera? The Apple Aperture site lists support for DMC-F35 and other later cameras but does not allow a search for others.
    Many thanks.
    John

Only the cameras on this list are supported:  Apple - Aperture - Technical Specifications - RAW Support
    Th FZ27 is not.
For my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 I am using Adobe's free DNG Coverter to convert the RAW files to DNG. It does not always work, but for most of the RW2 files I can work in Aperture this way. The stubborn files I convert to TIFF.

  • Opening RAW photos from Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 camera

I am trying to open without success RAW photos from my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 camera after downloading and installing Camera Raw 8.6.  What is my problem?

Can you upload one of these raw files that don't work for you to a place like www.dropbox.com and post public download link to it?  Either something is wrong/different with the files from your camera or something is wrong with the software on your computer.  Being able to test a file on someone else's computer would help narrow down which.
    FWIW, I can open a sample FZ1000 rw2 file in PS-CC2014/ACR 8.6 from here:
    http://img.photographyblog.com/reviews/panasonic_lumix_dmc_fz1000/sample_images/panasonic_ lumix_dmc_fz1000_18.rw2
You might try downloading this specific image and see if it works for you or not.

  • LightRoom Support For Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 camera/lens

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 has been listed as a supported camera since at least LightRoom 5.6 and the equivalent Adobe Camera Raw version.
I have both LR 5.7 and LR CC2015.  In the Develop Module, Lens Correction area, there is no Panasonic camera/lens listed in the drop-down list of Profiled cameras in order to enable profile corrections.
LR does display the Panasonic RAW files without having to convert to another format, but can't apply lens-specific corrections due to its non-listing in that area.
Why is it not listed and can I get it listed somehow?

I have both LR 5.7 and LR CC2015.  In the Develop Module, Lens Correction area, there is no Panasonic camera/lens listed in the drop-down list of Profiled cameras in order to enable profile corrections.
That's probably correct. The lenses from many cameras are not profiled by Adobe. It may be (I'm not sure about your camera) that the lens corrections are already applied by the camera, and so no additional corrections are needed in Lightroom.

  • Editing video clips from Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28K 10MP Digital Camera

I've got iMovie '08 and I'm considering getting a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28K camera, which takes HD video (albeit in 8 minute chunks) in what I believe is the .mov format. I don't know much about iMovie, so I was wondering what the steps would be to convert the .mov files into something that would enable me to edit the clips. I also have Quicktime MPEG-2 Playback.
Better yet, are there any Lumix and Mac users out there who have experience with this particular combination? I'd appreciate any suggestions... I realize that it may seem more appropriate to just buy a camcorder, but I really won't be using the video option very heavily. It's just an extra bonus, if I can make it work efficiently with iMovie.

  • Camera Raw update for Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000

    Hi.
I have Elements 11 and need to update it to open .raw files shot with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000. I can't find the link where I can download the camera raw update.
    Can you please help me?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
The FZ1000 requires camera raw 8.6 which is NOT compatible with PSE 11.
You will need to upgrade to PSE 13 or use the DNG converter.

  • How can i use Nikon D 7100 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-LF1 with Photoshop CS 5 Camera Raw?

How can i use Nikon D 7100 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-LF1 with Photoshop CS 5 Camera Raw?

The one needs 7.4 (or better), the other 8.1, so Photoshop CS5 with ACR6 is not up to the task.
The free DNG Converter could be used to convert the RAW images to DNG which your version of ACR should be able to process.

  • Since downloading Iphoto 11, we now cannot import photos from our Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ-15 camera. Any ideas out there as to why this is occuring. I can still import them onto my laptop which is running Iphoto9

Since downloading Iphoto 11 onto our desktop computer we now cannot import the photos from our Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ15 into Iphoto. However I can import them from the camera onto my Macbook which is still running Iphoto 9.
When I connect the camera and IPhoto loads, the spinning wheel just keeps on spinning and nothing happens, I have to Force Quit Iphoto to get out of the program. Totally frustrated, it would seem that it is an Iphoto 11 software problem.  Any suggestions out there?
    Regards
    Phil

    Terence,
not sure what happens here right now, I didn't mean to be offensive. So please let's stay calm. There are some issues with Panasonics described in these threads, and they do sound similar to the issue I'm facing (somewhat hard to say, as a) these people do not use exactly the same camera as I do and b) the descriptions of their problems are not very detailed). I would retract the term "a LOT of issues". Sorry.
Back in September I described my issue here
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3308591?start=0&tstart=0
but then the discussion there stopped. Since we were still able to import images manually into iPhoto (and took care of leaving out already imported pictures ourselves), we could live with this as a workaround.
Since everything worked well recently on my machine with the latest iPhoto version, I decided to upgrade iPhoto on my wife's Mac (where the import problems occured) from '09 to latest '11 (9.2.1). However, after that iPhoto still could not import from the Panasonic's SD card (rotating ball when inserting the card reader, and rotating ball after starting up iPhoto afterwards even w/o card reader plugged in, until the next reboot). So I re-built iPhoto's database (32000 images - 12 hours). Didn't help either. It worked however with a Casio Z-1000's SD card. Thus I re-formatted the Panasonic card yesterday and it seems to work since then.
My point is that I consider it weird that a SD card works with one Mac and doesn't work with another, although both use the same version of OS X and iPhoto. And, I'm somewhat doubtfull that re-formatting the card will  solve this issue permanently. I believe that I tried to re-format the card already back in September, when I dealt with the issue for the first time, but I have no prove of that.
I will keep an eye on it and will report here if the problem comes up again.
    Thank you for your help.
    Best wishes,
    Thomas.

  • Iphoto and panasonic lumix dmc-fz28 raw (.rw2) files support

It appears that iphoto or max osx does not currently support the panasonic lumix dmc-fz28's raw format (.rw2). Is this true? If so, does anyone know when support will be available? If it is supported today, how do you make it work?

Since even the most recent updates to iPhoto do not contain DMC-FZ28 importers for RAW, I use the free and EXCELLENT +RAW Photo Processor+ ( http://www.raw-photo-processor.com ).
For a donation (I gave $10) it will add the feature to open the converted image into the program of your choice. Of course I use iPhoto, which it automatically launches and then imports the image to it's database. Since it also has both batch capability and the ability to pick the image next to the last RAW image in the directory of your previous photo, it's great for importing large numbers of RAW images into iPhoto.
And the control it gives over your import is incredible, certainly on par with Adobe RAW.
I actually found the settings I like best and saved them as a profile for my camera (it works automatically for all Lumix cameras, but you can tweak them quite finely).
Another nice thing about this little app is it is both multicore and multiprocessor savvy. Since it allows you to pick apps to open the imported images in, there's no limit to the the programs you can chose to add to your drop-down list.
It solved the problem for me!

  • Will the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 work with my Intel Core 2 MBP?

Will the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 work with my Intel Core 2 MacBook Pro and/or will I have to upgrade OSX & iLife (£122GBP).  Have seen that AVCHDLite is not directly compatible with Mac, but the articles are mostly 2 yrs old the panasonic website proudly displays the iPhoto and iMovie compatible icons http://panasonic.net/avc/lumix/compact/zs7_tz10/.  Have chosen this as a quality compact camera with wide angle lens, powerful optical zoom & a marine housing.

AVCHD is not compatible with iPhoto but is with iMovie - not sure about AVCHDLite

  • Panasonic lumix dmc-fz28?

will panasonic lumix dmc-fz28 raw file (.rw2) processing be added to acr anytime soon?

You might want to read through this thread:
Richard Earney, "LR2 Does Not Support .rw2 RAW File" #1, 12 Aug 2008 9:41 pm
Apparently Adobe and Panasonic are trying to work through some "issues".
ACR updates generally come out quarterly so you can always hope.
Also just to let you know, Adobe team members and frequent posters in this forum can get a little grumpy with people who ask about when their camera will be supported in ACR. From the customer side it is a little hard to understand the attitude but from their side I guess it is a little like the kids in the backseat asking "are we there yet" for the 50th time. Just to prepare you a bit.

  • HT4757 Is there ever going to be RAW compatibility with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 added to Aperture 3?

Is there ever going to be RAW compatibility with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 added to Aperture 3?
It's a good camera which I think has been overlooked in this area?
    Any advice you good people?

    Hello,
I don't know when but you can send a message to Apple so they can add that in a next update (not 100% sure but you can try).
Go here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/aperture.html and in the Feedback Type select : Harware compatibility.

  • Oh no- new update and still no support for my panasonic lumix dmc-lx2-

Read the slightly newer topic by Pat Gilmour "Lumix DMC-LX1 RAW......" and you can see it is feasible, if not convenient. Note that for the LX2 you have to follow the instructions for the LX1 but write LX2 instead. It works a beauty for me
