It would appear that your Panasonic G6 was not supported until Camera Raw 8.1 which is not supported by your Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1.
Even if it were, you might run your version blocking the raw image import because of size.
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/624979
The above is a Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 thread, but it is applicable to version 9.0/9.0.1 as well.
Please review and consider.
Thanks.

Add On....You can use raw and dng images in Premiere Elements, provided that you have installed a version of Camera Raw that supports your camera AND Premiere Elements supports that version of Camera Raw. In earlier versions of the program, such as version 9.0/9.0.1, there was also the size factor as mentioned above. The results are good with all the above ifs in place.

  • Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 RAW files support in Lightroom 4

      http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2014/07/camera-raw-8-6-and-dng-converter-8-6-now-a vailable.html
The above says that Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 RAW files are supported in camera raw 8.6.  I specifically checked before buying the camera.  Everything I have ever read on the Adobe website for some 3+ years said that if a file in supported in Adobe Camera RAW, it is also supported in Lightroom.  Particularly, the above URL did NOT give any warning about the FZ10000 RAW files NOT being supported in Lightroom 4.  I went ahead and purchased the FZ1000, only to find I'm now having problem with Lightroom 4 not recognising the RAW files at all.  I'm really annoyed, as I was so careful to check the Adobe website first.  WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH CAMERA RAW AND LIGHTROOM?????

I do appreciate the many RAW file formats being created by the camera manufacturers, as I have had varying cameras with the varying formats, and so am very aware of the whole business of making sure how those formats will fit into my software.  And, as already stated, appreciate Adobe's efforts to deal with all those formats.
This whole exercise has been upsetting, and there has been some good advice and info provided in this discussion.
And unfortunately, some input that has been a little too technical and not particularly helpful.  I feel that some of the input was a little too critical and didn't recognise that maybe some of us aren't so are highly involved and knowledgeable in Adobe products and the technicalities of how the software works, dot versioning of software, executable coding etc. because we don't need to, and shouldn't have to.  I have bothered to learn Lightroom well in terms of its functionality including matters raised by you (eg making LRoom edits visible in other software, knowing that LR is not making changes to the actual files, rather they are in sidecar or xmp files etc.).  I have bothered to learn a reasonable amount of computer-related info to understand things in plain English terms, such as "to have PShop and LRoom to recognise my RAW files, I need to have ACR.  To have them run on my PC, they must be compatible with Windows operating system version xxx.  For many people, this level of knowledge should be enough.
I have NOT said I expect Adobe to get advance copies of file formats from manufacturers;  I have NOT said that I expect Adobe to support every new camera model immediately.
The technicalities of the coding and whether Lightroom "uses" the ACR plug in or not is not quite so much the issue, and I don't find the statement that "Lightroom does not use the Camera Raw plug-in" helpful.  I don't think it's really right either.  Lightroom - one way or the other - DOES "USE" ACR as the ability of Lightroom to recognise files is very much dependent on the version of ACR that you have.  LRoom may not use the ACR plug in as PShop/Bridge in the exact same way (eg for the actual editing of files such as exposure, white balance etc.), but Lightroom DOES USE the ACR PLUG IN.... in regard to the file recognition issue.
And Yes....  I made a mistake.  Somehow, despite what I thought were good efforts to research the Lumix's support in PShop CS6, Bridge, ACR and Lroom 4, I got it wrong.  I will accept that it was my mistake and I'll accept my part in this, but I won't be made to feel that that it's been "totally" my fault, stupidity, whatever.
Thanks to all the people who have provided useful comment and input to my original question and subsequent responses throughout this discussion.  I will indeed now consider options like the DNG converter.  I was aware of the whole cloud thing, and had been thinking I would upgrade in perhaps a couple of years time (for both Pshop and LRoom) - I'll have to consider upgrading sooner rather than later.

  • Does  PSE 12 and PSE 13 support Panasonic Lumix Fz200 raw files?

Does PSE 12 and PSE 13 support Panasonic Lumix Fz200 raw files?

    Yes.
See that FAQ: Photoshop Elements FAQ List
    In that list you find:
FAQ: Will Photoshop Elements work with my camera, or Why won't my raw files open?
And in that paper, you find two links, one for supported cameras:
    https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html
and ACR versions compatible with different Elements versions:

  • Why can't i open my Panasonic Lumix FZ45 RAW files in CS3?

why can't i open my RAW files?
    I have photoshop CS3 with camera raw plug-in 4.6.0.30 on MacBook Pro OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63) and a Panasonic Lumix FZ45
I have checked the list of supported cameras and mine appears to be there.
I have no available updates in photoshop so assume that I am up to date with those.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    thanks

I have checked the list of supported cameras and mine appears to be there.
Yes, the Panasonic FZ45 is listed but it was first supported by Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 6.2.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html
Then go to this table to see which versions of Photoshop are compatible with ACR 6.2: CS5 and later. Not CS3.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/camera-raw-compatible-applications.html
So your options are to upgrade to CS6 or subscribe to CC (check out the Photoshop Photography Program: PS CC + Lightroom 5).
Or download the free DNG converter, convert all your FZ75 Raw files to DNGs then open the DNGs in CS3

  • Download of latest Camera Raw to support Panasonic Lumix GX7 raw files

I have downloaded the latest Camera Raw version for my Photoshop CS 5.1 as I have bought a new camera, Panasonic Lumix GX7.  Camera Raw still does not read these files in spite of the fact that the camera list shows that this camera is supported.  Please help.

According to Adobe’s list, you need at least ACR 8.2 to process GX7 raw files:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html
According to this other list, you need at least CS6 to update to ACR 8.2:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/camera-raw-compatible-applications.html
So you either need to upgrade to PS-CS6 or sign-up for a cloud subscription, or download the latest DNG Converter that works with whatever OS version you have, from here:

  • Aperture not reading lumix lx7 raw files

I have installed updated Aperture from App store and it and IPhotos in my GMac5 arent recognising the RAW Panasonic Lumix LX-7 files: it keeps on importing them and then stating that this is an unsupported file type but on the Mac site it is stated that it supports this file and this camera.
    What might be going wrong?
This is a new camera and I cannot load any files on to my computer.
    cheers

    GMac5
What is your MacOS X version, Mark? And what Aperture version have you upgraded to?
The raw support for LUMIX DMC-LX7*** hast the following footnote:
*** Requires Aperture 3.4 or later.
    Aperture 3.4 requires:
    OS X Lion 10.7.5
    OS X 10.8.2 or later
And to install 10.7.5 you will need:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor

  • Does Lightroom 3 support Panasonic DMC FZ200 RAW files?

Does Lightroom 3 support Panasonic DMC FZ200 RAW files?  I think the update for LR 4.2 does.  But I still have LR 3 and do not wish to upgrade right now.

Of course not.  The camera was announced 8 months after the last version of LR 3 came out.
You could use the free DNG converter.

  • Aperture imports Lumix GF2 RAW files with strong green colour cast

I'm using Aperture 3.3.1 with Digital Camera RAW 3.14.0 built 6460000.1 and iPhoto 9.3.1
When importing RAW files from my Panasonic Lumix GF2 into Aperture, the initial thumbnails are fine (it displays those embedded in the RAW file), but when Aperture has finished its processing, thumbails and full size images are dark and green - it seems only the green channel has been taken into account.
When importing the same photos in iPhotos, they look normal, with all their colours.
If I open the iPhoto library with Aperture, the photos are fine as well.
This is the first time I import photos since updating Aperture, iPhoto and Camera RAW a few days ago - I had the previous versions from before the updates issued around the last WWDC event.
I would have assumed iPhoto and Aperture use the same Camera RAW engine so I don't understand how Aperture is "broken" but not iPhoto.
Any ideas for the resolution of this issue are welcome.
    Thanks.

I applied the solution found on this this page:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3948457?start=0&tstart=0
Read the instructions carefully as there is a space to remove (introduce by the line break in the forum), then you need to reboot your Mac.
I solved my problem for new image imports. Regenerating the thumbails of already imported images didn't change anything. I gues this was because my issue was not just with the thumbails, but the whole image, without the Quick Preview feature activated.

  • Processing Panasonic Lumic FZ200 Raw Files

I have Photoshop Elements 10 with Camera Raw 6.7.0.339 installed on my Macintosh (Mountain Lion).  I need to process the raw files from my new Panasonic Lumix FZ200.  However, the files are not recognized by Elements and I have not been able to update to Camera Raw 7.1 (I get a U44M2P7 error).  Any suggestions?

If it is a one of project then you can download PSE 11 (Trial) and use it for 30 days.  After 30 days, it will stop working unless you buy a license for it.  To buy the license is a very simple process.  Just log in to Amazon Website and order the boxed version of PSE11.  When you receive the box, you only need to enter the serial number that comes in the box and you are done.
Apart from this, I don't know how old is the camera to make it so difficult to be recognized by PSE10.  If it is fairly recent then you will need PSE11 to do any productive work with the photos.  I tried to look at the release note of last two updates but did not see any mention of your camera in any of them.  However, it was a very quick browse rather than seriously looking and searching for it.

  • Poor Panasonic Lumix LX3 RAW color in LR2.5

    Hello,
I just bought a Panasonic Lumix LX3.  I'm using Lightroom v2.5 to process the RAWs under Mac OS 10.6.2.  The color in the LX3 jpegs is very good/accurate, but when I open most RAWs it is taking me a lot of work to get accurate color, especially if there is any blue sky in them, as Lightroom seems to be rendering some colors incorrectly.  It's taking me way too much work to get my RAWs to look as good as the jpegs, which pretty much negates the RAW files' greater potential!  I have used Lightroom with my Canon 20D and never had this problem.  Also, with the LX3's supplied RAW software, SilkyPix, I don't have the RAW color issues.  I want to use Lightroom with my LX3's RAWs, but it is very frustrating.  Any thoughts or comments would be most helpful.
    Thanks,
    Greg

I have also had the same color rendering problems with LX3 and LR 2.4-2.6. The JPEG and initial preview looks fine, but the LR raw rendering just doesn't look good.
One solution I tried was to buy a Gretag Macbeth color checker (24 patch) and create a DNG profile for the LX3 using DNG Profile Editor from Adobe. This makes the color rednition significantly better, but the warm color spectrum is still a problem when it comes to high saturated areas.
I still haven't found what I'm looking for...
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    David

  • Cs6 raw plugin not recognizing lumix g5 raw files

I just installed cs6 on my computer which is not connected to the internet. The camera raw plugin does not recognize my lumix G5 camera raw files. I tried downloading and installing what i think is the most recent raw plugin, but it still does not recognize the file format. I have installed the dng converter which does recognize these files but that's a clunky work-around. Any ideas on what I should try next?orwhere i can find the most recent raw plugin for cs6?

  • Does Lightroom 4 support Panasonic Lumex FZ150 raw files

Just purchased this camera, and use primarily Lightroom to edit.  When downloading my images, although I shot it RAW (which is why I bought this camera) it converted it to JPEG's.  I also just upgraded to Lightroom 4, which will arrive shortly.  Does anyone know whether Lightroom 4 supports RAW in this camera?  Thanks.

Thanks Lee. I went to the link but am still a bit confused.  Camera Raw update seems to apply to Photoshop Elements 10, where I have Elements 9.  I didn't know what I should download.  When I import the RAW images from my Nikon D90, I don't have to do anything different.   And the Lightroom 3.6 does not say anything about the Panasonic Lumix.  Any further clarification would be most appreciated.  Also, the question was not answered, if you know, whether Lightroom 4 will be supporting my new camera.

  • Lumix GX7 RAW files incompatible with Lightroom 4.4?

    Hello,
I have used Lightroom 4.4 successfully with Lumix GF1 .RW2 files but I just discovered Lightroom 4.4 does not recognize Lumix GX7 .RW2 files.
Do I need to upgrade to Lightroom 5? I checked for updates on 4.4 and I am up-to-date.
    Any advice would be helpful.
