Panasonic - Refurbished 1000W 5.1-Ch. 3D / Wi-Fi Blu-ray Home Theater System

Am I able to run my direct TV box through this surround sound system? or only Blue-ray?

From looking at the specs you could hook up your DirecTV receiver using Analog audio connects (Red/White) so you would never get surround sound out of it. Since the blu-ray player is built into the receiver it will do surround sound though. That is one major problem with this Home Theaters in a box where the player is the receiver as well, expansion is VERY limited.

  • Trouble w/ the connection from my Panasonic Home Theater System

    So I recently purchased
    Panasonic - 5.1-Ch. 3D Blu-ray Home Theater System
    Panasonic - 50" Class / 720p / 600Hz / Plasma HDTV
and I already have a Att u-verse Box at my house
now I have the home theatre system and the ATT uverse connected to the TV with their own HDMI cables. The Att is connected to the 1st HDMI port and the home theatre is connected to the 2nd HDMI port.
The guy at the store said I could get surround sound when I'm watching cable if I got a Rocketfish Digital Optical Audio Cable and plugged it in to my uverse box,
but now I'm confused because I tried plugging it in from the uverse box to the TV and that didn't work, then i tried connecting it from the uverse box to the theatre system and that didn't work,
but the loop hole we found is that if we unplug the HDMI cable that is connecting the theatre system to the TV (only unplugged from the TV), we can hear the cable on surround sound, but if it's plugged in we can't hear it, so now we have to unplug and plug in to watch movies or cable, but that's way too frustrating to deal with, does anyone know how to fix this so my surround sound works with everything w/o having to unplug?

    Do this:
Check your manuals for the exact ports and menu settings for the following, the TV should have come with a poster that shows the connections as well.
Take the Rocketfish cable back to BB You can only get 5.1 surround over optical from your Panasonic TV when using the internal tuner, and other source, like HDMI will be limited to 2.1 audio.
    then
1 - HDMI from your cable box to HDMI 2 on your Panny TV.
2 - HDMI port 1 which should be labeled ARC from your Panny TV to the HDMI OUT port on your Panny reciever. It should also be labeled ARC.
3 - Turn on Viera Link on both the TV and the reciever.

  • Could the Panasonic 5.1 3D Home Theater System Blu-ray Disc Player be used as speakers on a windows

    Could a
Panasonic - 5.1 3D Home Theater System - 600 W RMS - Blu-ray Disc Player be used as only speakers on a windows 8.1 desktop? And if so would it use bluetooth?

    Hello coltyn-
Based on the product description, it certainly looks like it may be able to be used as the speakers for your desktop set up.  Most likely you will need to buy some additional materials.  Unfortunately, I’m not an expert on this, so I would either recommend waiting to see if one of our community members comments on this or you can check with the experts at your local Best Buy store.

  • LG - 1000W 5.1-Ch. Home Theater System with Upconvert DVD/CD Player

    I have a question about the LG - 1000W 5.1-Ch. Home Theater System with Upconvert DVD/CD Player. Model: LHT854 | SKU: 8713859.
I plan on purchasing this here soon. i was wondering how long the wires are to the satellite speakers.the front 2 and center will not matter cause they will be right by tv. but the rear speakers i plan on concealing through part of my wall. i need to know how long the wires are so i can make this possible. is there anybody that can help me? its not in the specs

Unfortunately I do not know for sure but usually they provide anywhere from 25ft or 50 Ft per speaker. My JBL system came with 50ft of wire. You should be able to splice additional cable from the front and center to make them long enough if they are not already or pickup some extra speaker wire.

  • Philips - 1000W 5.1-Ch. Home Theater System with Upconvert DVD/CD/MP3/DivX Player Wire'LESS'?

Is this thing wireless or Wiired? BestBuy needs to describe this needed info in thir item descriptions.

    Hey Black_Hawk_262,
According to information provided by the manufacturer, Panasonic’s HTS3544/37 is a wired home theater system.   Unfortunately, the “TV” inputs are standard stereo (RCA) inputs and the model only appears to support digital coaxial audio as an output.  If you’d like more information though, I would strongly suggest visiting Philips’ website for more information.
    Hope this helps you out!

  • How to interface SC-HT800v Panasonic Home Theater with New Samsung LED/LCD 6500 series TV

I don't see how the 14 pin cable coming out of the subwoofer will connect to the new TV or our new Blue Ray player Samsung BD-C5500.  We currently have no receiver since that was in the Panasonic VCR/DVD that we have abandoned.  Can you confirm this & also offer a suggestion of a new home theater system?  Thanks, Susan

Buy a Samsung Home Theater soundbar system. That will fit your needs perfectly not to mention you will be able to control your TV, Blu-Ray, and the sound system with a single remote control.

  • How to Connect My Apple TV to My Panasonic SC-PT760 Home Theater

    Hello;
I currently use the Panasonic SC-PT760 as the Home Theater DVD Player which only has 1 HMDI output and connects directly to the HD TV, also I have the Direct TV connected to the Home Theather via AUX.
I am wondering how should I connect my apple TV, if I would like to connect ut via HMDI. Is a HMDI switch an option or what should I do ?
    Please advise.

You can purchase HDMI switches but don't expect them to work perfectly in _every_ configuration. What I mean is that your mileage may vary, it may work, or it may not. However, chances are good that it will but I'd make certain that you can return the HDMI switch if it doesn't work correctly when paired with you DVD player and the Apple TV and your HDTV.
By the way, does your TV have component inputs? If so you can use the Apple TV's component outputs to get HD but then you'll have to route the audio from the Apple TV either over standard RCA stereo plugs or via the digital audio optical connection on the Apple TV (assuming again that your HDTV has optical audio inputs, but I see that you receiver has an optical input so that should work too).

  • How do I connect the ipod nono 7th gen. to Panasonic home theater sound system

I ordered an ipod nano for my daughter for christmas as her old original ipod died. She has a Panasonic home theater sound system (SA-PT950) that came with a little dedicated ipod station to connect her ipod to and get surround sound music. Now I see the 7th gen. nano has a different interface and won't work in this station. Is there an adapter available or does anyone know another way to connect it? Thanks

  • How to convert Hi8 to iMac? Have 2 video cameras: Sony CCD-YRV98 video Hi8 and Panasonic SDR-SW20 digital video. Please provide the steps to convert to iMovie '11. Also, is there a way to burn in blu-ray?

I already have two video cameras. One older (Sony) in Hi8 and the less older one (Panasonic) which is digital. Between the two can it be accomplished to transfer the Hi8 video on tapes to iMovie?
I have the newer iMac 21.5" and also would like to know if it is possible to record this on blu-ray. The iMac didn't come with iDVD, which means I have to get that uploaded. Any other suggestions?

    Sony Hi8 camcorder
No it is an Analog Camera - and have NO Digital-Out
I may be made a Wrongful assumption in that the - Panasonic digital camcorder - was a Digital 8 Camera.
If it is - it has a Digital Out (FireWire) and can playback the Hi 8 tapes from the other Camera.
If it is a miniDV Camera - it also have a FW-out (Digital out) - BUT can not play Your Hi 8 tapes.
Then there are not so many ways to do this.
If Your Panasonic digital camcorder - Has Analog in RECORDING ( not all have this, it was an EXTRA Cost ! ) - Then You can playback from the Hi 8 Camera to this and record onto a miniDV tape - to be played and Captured/Imported into Your Mac.
The Panasonic digital camcorder - Might have a feature - Play trough - that makes it possibly to use it as an Analog - Digital bridge - some can do this - But You've not told the exact type/no: etc - So I can not guess.
If this still do not work (The Panasonic digital camcorder do not have an Analog in connection/function)
    - Then You need an Analog/Digita Converting box - from Hi 8 to this A/D-box then to Mac via FireWire.
There are several types and prices - I got a fairly expensive box due to that I've lot's of old VHS tapes in even bad quality. And this - Canopus ADVC-300 - has a function - Timebase Correction - that helps a lot in regard to drop outs and Audio slowly going out of sync. I just keeps perfect even over several Hours of VHS-tapes.

  • Blu-ray compatibility with Panasonic DMP-BD60

I made a blu-ray disk from Encore CS4 with my internal Pioneer blu-ray burner using Power DVD9 and it played back fine with this burner. But when played  through the Panasonic which is connect with HDMI to Denon receiver to HD TV it stops and starts intermittently throughout the sequence. What is really strange is before I upgraded to Win 7 Ultimate had Vistainstalled and at that time tested a Blu-ray disk and it worked fine. Only diifferences between the two is a few page curls and audio fade in /out. I updated the firmware on Panasonic, but did not make a difference. I used Shintaro blu- ray REfor both. DVD disks work fine on both. Could it be if I did my transcoding before I made an Encore project. I used dynamic links this time without transcoding first.
    Any ideas Please

You are most correct, a lot of consumers are going to take it out of the box and use it, and not know or care about firmware updates. Eventually the problem will be sorted out by manufacturers (indeed I think it mostly already has, most if not all of the new release blu-ray players now support BD-R), this is just the same case when DVD players started getting big, some did not support DVD-Rs or RWs, etc. but most do now. I suppose the solution now would be to set up an email address (thats included in the BD-R packaging) and if people have trouble address them individually by email and inform them of firmware updates.
All blu-rays that we've released have a CYA statement about firmware updates and a link to the Sony site. If we have several major clients who can't seem to figure it out, have them email their model numbers and ship them a DVD with the update on it with instructions how to use it. I suppose a fee could/should be charged for that.
Hopefully we'll be out of this awkward phase soon....but only time will tell.

  • DIGA DMR-BR630V, Panasonic blu ray dvd + vcr combo.

Anyone else heard of the Panasonic blu ray +vcr combo coming out soon?  I'm seriously interested in this product, both because of the blu ray quality and the vhs recording/playback.  A lot of people have vhs tapes and are hoping for this...what do you hear?

    Hey tomshotcash,
I read some of the pre-release information on this model a while back, but I was under the influence that this player was only going to be available in Japan.  Since it was only released overseas on October 1st of this year, chances are that a NA or EU equivalent won’t be released for a number of months yet.
If you’re itching to find out more about the DMR-BF630V though (and can read Japanese!) I’ve provided a link to Panasonic’s official site below:
