Pandora goes to next song before song ends

Upgraded to iOS 7, and now pandora never finishes a song before it begins another one. Never did this in iOS 6! iTunes Radio keeps stopping or tells me I don't have an internet connection when I do. I can restart and sometimes iTunes Radio sees the wifi connection but can't play songs for long. Beginning to wish I hadn't upgraded to iOS 7!

No, but it didn't happen till I upgraded to iOS 7, so I'm not sure that pandora is at fault. Besides, iTunes is not much better,

  • Shuffle 4th gen cuts some songs off and goes to next song.

Shuffle 4th generation will cut some songs off and then starts next song.
Some play almost to the end and some will move on only about half way through the tune.
Seems to move on at about the same spot in the song each time.
I have removed the songs and retranfered them in itunes - that does not help.
It does this in both "shuffle" and play in order modes.
Any idea on how to fix this ?

Yes, that means that it definitely is the iPod. Go here: http://forums.ipodlounge.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=93789/

  • Ipod plays only part of song then goes to next song

This has happened to me 2 times.
I have songs in my Ipod shuffle. I download/upload new cd into my library (my library is wholly made up of my personal cds) then put them on my ipod. The ipod shows the new songs and plays them EXCEPT some (most but not all) of the NEW songs loaded stop abruptly and the next song starts.
2 times I have done trouble shooting to find out if I play the same song through my computer (rather than straight from the suffle) if it plays partially or not (the music library on the computer plays the whole song) and both times the computer abruptly shows that my suffle is corrupted. I reset to factory settings and reload my music library and all songs play fine.
I don't want to have to do this every time I upload music -- and I want the entire song to play. What should I do next time I load a cd into my library and onto my suffle???.

I have this problem too. It's happening on 7.6.1 (9). I authorized this computer but they still don't play. They don't even play fully off the cd that I burned from the computer I purchased them on.

  • Hi i bought a cd off of itunes and the best song on the whole CD half way through cuts out suddenly and goes to next song. I am new to using I tunes store and dont know whats up. it comes with the digital download as well if that helps. So what do I do ?

    hi

The iPad uses AirPrint technology to print to a printer. Check this Apple support page to see if your printer is listed as being AirPrint compatible.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
If your printer works with AirPrint you will need a Wi-Fi network in order to connect. That Wi-Fi network does not need to be connected to the Internet. As James Ward4 says, you'll need a Wi-Fi router to set up your network. Most routers require that a computer be used during the setup process. Perhaps you could use someone's computer to do the setup if you do not had one yourself. Once the router is set up you should be able to print.

  • I have a Ipod shuffle 4th generation. I would like for the music to shut off after one hour long song automatically rather than go to the next song. Is this possible?

I have an ipod shuffle 4th generation. I would like for the music to automatically shut off after one hour long song rather than going to next song on the list. Is this possible?

Sorry, but it's not.  The only way to get this to work is to only put the one hour song on your Shuffle.

  • In shuffle mode next song begins before previous song has ended.

Next song begins playing before previous song has ended.

I checked them all. The last playlist that had this issue only had 24 songs so it wasn't hard to look at each individually. That's definitely not the issue.
I also had that particular playlist play all the way through in shuffle mode with no issue both before and since the last occurrence. It's the same case with shuffling many other playlists of mine both new and old (I guess that wasn't clear enough in my original post). The inconsistency of this issue is what has had me particularly vexed and why I figured it was a bug.
    Again, thanks for your suggestion.

If you do not have dupicate songs on the iPod then:
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:

  • Certain songs in iTunes skip to the next song before the song ends

I purchased Incubus and Weezer songs a while ago, and when trying to listen to the entire songs with iTunes for Windows Vista, the songs skip to a different song/artist for some reason before they end. I then played at least one of the songs on my iPad, where they are already in my iTunes, and did not experience that particular problem for some reason.
Also, I don't know if it matters, but I almost always use shuffle mode when listening to music in iTunes.

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the problem tracks from your iTunes library, close and then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • Some of my songs on my iTunes are stopping towards the end and going to the next song. It won't play those specific songs the entire way through.

I recently bought a MacBook Pro and transfered my entire library to my new laptop. Itunes was working fine until I started to notice that certain songs won't play the entire way through. It'll stop at like 1:43 or another random time and skip right to the next song. I know I definitely bought some of these songs off of iTunes, and I really don't want to repurchase them. I don' understand why this would even be happening because they played fine on my old computer! Is there any way I can get them to play all the way through again!?

  • Songs cut 25 sec before the end - Time cursor issues

    Hello !
As all for you, I've just downloaded itunes 7. No special problem until today, where I discovered two anoying (but not terrible) bugs:
    1) The time cursor when playing a song is unstable. If I want to listen to a song from 2'22 minutes, i bring the cursor with the mouse at 2'22 to play. But if I clip and drag the cursor, the cursor simply keeps going backwards in time until it reaches the song starting point. I've tried it with the different views... Have you noticed it too?
    2) A few of my songs are cut 25 or 30 before the end. If I bring the time cursor over the last 30 seconds of these songs, it directly goes to the next song (or even the song after the next one). This is quite annoying. I've to mention that all my song aren't gapless. I turned the fade option off. But it keeps cutting these 15-20 songs end. Does somebody have an idea about that issue??
    Thank you
    Regards, Jonathan

  • Stops before song ends

Hello, Hope someone can help. I have an iPod Classic 30GB. About a month ago it started stopping before a song ended, ie the song would be playing and about 1 minute from the end it would stop. Sometimes it would just stop and go on to the next song, sometimes it would stop and just freeze up. I did a restore, same thing happens but more frequently. I experimented a bit and deleted all instances of a "stopped" song, repurchased it, resynced the iPod....that particular song now plays all the way through. What is going on? Are the song files corrupting? Am I going to eventually have to repurchase all my songs? And and all advice appreciated!!!
    Mary

Not sure what is happening exactly, but it could be early signs of a dying hard drive.
Try and do a disk diagnostic as described by turingtest2.  The post also explains what each of the numbers mean.

  • Longer songs stopping before finishing, next song playing in the remaining time of the previous song?

Hello apple communities, it's been a while.
So, problem, with the music app (or the particular albums/artists/songs) this time.
Longer songs are stopping before the end of the songs, it's almost like it skips, but the wierd part is this:
In the remaining time for that song, the next song starts playing.
    Make sense?
    No?
    Well, here's an example.
The song deadman goes for 12.04, 12 minutes and 4 seconds.
The song after that, change goes for 10.47, 10 minutes and 47 seconds.
What happens is deadman will play for about 3 minutes, then skip to change, however, the ipod still says it is playing deadman, which has about 9 minutes left.
It is only the one artist it is doing this with as well. Both albums. However, they play fine on itunes, on the CD's, on the Ps3 and my mp3.
I have tried deleting them and re-adding them to my ipod but it doesn't fix it.
The fact that is only one artist, out of 38 or so, makes me think it's the files, but if they play fine everywhere else, it makes me think something has gone wrong in the syncing process, but there have been no error pop-ups.
My ipod is a 4th generation ipod touch, currently Version 6.1.3.
    Itunes is version 10.7.0.21.
    Thank you for your help.

  • Itunes and Ipod Classic stop before song ends after transfer to new computer

I purchased a new Windows 7 computer and transferred my library from my XP computer.
I restored my library and all seemed well with the world.
I synched my IPod classic 120GB with over 8000 songs.
I was listening to the IPOD on my docking station when I started noticing that songs would just stop before the end of the song.
I thought my 120GB Ipod was dying, so I purchased a new 160GB.
    The problem continued.
I then listened to them on the new computer in Itunes and they did not completely stop, they just skipped to the next track at the same place as it froze on my IPOD.
I listened to the same song on my old computer through Itunes and it played correctly.
I have do not have the Itunes Match and the songs that I currently know that have the problem were purchased on Itunes.
Any suggestions as how to resolve the issue?

I would try copying over the tracks from your XP computer again as the files from the first transfer may be corrupted.

  • TS4357 The song I downloaded cuts off about 3 seconds before the ending, I have tried re-downloding per apple support directions with the same results. What further actions may I take to fix this issue?

The song I downloaded (Slayer, Criminally Isane) cuts off about 3 seconds before the ending, I have tried re-downloding per apple support directions with the same results. What further actions may I take to fix this issue?

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

  • HT203167 I've downloaded the Now Christmas album, all but 1 song has been downloaded and put in my library.  The list says it's there but when I go to play it, iTunes skips past it and goes to the next song.  I have downloaded lastest version of iTunes.

I have purchased and downloaded the Now Christmas album to my iTunes libary and all but 1 song have been purchased.  The song appears in my library but when I go to play it iTunes skips past it and goes to the next song.  It wouldn't normally bother me but its the only song my son wants to hear all the time (hopefully the heart strings will be pulled here and someone will reply before Christmas to help me!)  I've loaded the last verison of iTunes.

Will the media file play with Quicktime Player? If it will then it's an iTunes issue. If it won't then you need to delete the file and download it a second time.
