Pandora sound quality bad -- how to add on site to browser

The sound quality for pandora is really bad lately. A new problem. Songs break up routinely, even if I am only wordprocessing on my computer. For their FAQ, they suggest add pandora to my sites, but don't know how to do this -- tried to find a place under tools re: security privacy settings. Not sure if that will fix it.

In-built mic sound quality bad

I have a macbook pro and use Adobe connect. When I go into audio set up with in-built mic as the chosen device, the sound quality is awful - very pixelated. The mic works fine with Skype & Facetime, but not with Adobe connect. Any suggestions?

Audio podcast sound quality bad

Hi, I'm producing a podcast that's all vocal. I compressed the half hour long show to mp3 with the standard vocal podcast (which has a bitrate of 96). The sound quality for the voices is pretty bad. It sounds like we have lisps. The s sounds get muffled out. I tried doing an mp3 compression at 160kbps and it sounds a bit better but I don't think I need to be compressing it with such a high bitrate. Is there anything that I might be missing? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried to export it without compression, just to check if it maybe sounds bad by itself? E.g., when you're clipping the levels, you might not hear it in GB, but in the exported audio file.

Optical drive sound quality bad?

I recently had a firmware update done to this computer. However I noticed that when I ripped CD's into iTunes the sound quality diminished. There is almost no bass and a lot of highs. I have checked the iPod EQ, the iTunes EQ, OS X sound preferences, my speakers, and my headphones. I also checked the iTunes store purchases I made but they still sound great. Only songs I rip from CD's sound worse only after I updated the firmware. Any suggestions?

There shouldn't be a reason for a firmware update to the drive to cause a quality issue with music you rip. Basically, the drive just reads the data. It can either read it or not, but it won't change it. As A BRODY asked... do you know what bitrate you recorded it at? Perhaps you had changed a setting?

How to add all site activity to site Newsfeed

Hi,
After extensive search and research (and a number of dead ends) I am coming up empty handed on any info re: how to expand the functionality of Newsfeed within Sharepoint.
My goal is to create a Newsfeed that includes more activity than just what a user has explicitly followed. Optimally, I would like to have a site Newsfeed that includes entries for all activity on the site. Users could then directly access the
item that was added, edited, or commented on to view all the details and add their own contributions. This would look very similar to a Basecamp style project feed that includes all ongoing information on the project.
Eventually I would like users to be able to sort the activity by activity type (e.g. view all document related activity, or all activity pertaining to a particular list) but a master feed would be a great place to start.
This blog post is the closest I've found to what I'd like to do, but the author did not finish the series.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to show the latest updates or activities regarding your SharePoint site.

With the newest version of java, we had already manage certificates but it's a painful feature. Now we have a new list. So okay, great idea, we can execute trusted java code by http site.
But how to deploy a site in exclusion with GPO ? Editing some files ? Other thing ?

Note that string prefs need to have their values surrounded by quotes as you probably found out. 
Integer and Boolean prefs mustn't have quotes. 
The mozilla.cfg file is run as JavaScript (prefs.js and user.js are interpreted) and thus can contain JavaScript code as well and will throw an exception in case of errors.

How to add trusted sites to group policy?

I found this:
Trusted sites policies can be set at the computer or user level and are located at the relative path of administrative templates: \Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Internet Control Panel\Security Page\Trusted Sites Zone.
But in the right side of the Trusted Sites Zone, I did not see any option to enter the sites. I'm using IE7.
Help is appreciated.

I have added sites to this exact location, I set them to apply to USERS Settings. They never apply. Now I know the policy is being applied since other settings in the GPO are applied and when I run a gpresult /z it shows that my policy was applied.
How come adding sites to the Site Zone Assign does not work? I've tried on both XP and Windows 7 workstations too.
Here are some notes I had made on this topic (the steps are based around using Local GP Editor, gpedit.msc, but, apply almost exactly to Domain GP)
You can examine the registry keys & values on a machine, to see if the GP settings are applying or not.
Also, note that if the browser is already running in memory when the GP is applied, the browser UI may not reflect the GP settings until all browser sessions are closed.

Please provide the name of your language and the url of your site, and perhaps someone can help. Some asian language sites still require the user to download custom fonts, which is hopeless, but others can be viewed using a different app:

After I looked something up at Merriam-Webster Dictionayr's online site, I started getting a pop-up for something called Degrees.info, with a URL of

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
Firefox keeps JSON backups of the bookmarks in the bookmarkbackups folder, one each day that Firefox has been started up to a maximum of 10.

I must be dumb but I can't seem to figure out how to add a "Site Map" page to my website.
I thought it would be neat to have it look like the the plan view with thumbnails of the pages and the graphic of how the pages flow....

There are two ways to add something into a footer on muse. One, right click on the item you want to be a footer and select "Footer Item."
Two, on the very top of the page there is an unchecked box that reads "footer." Select that and you will also have a footer item.
Make sure to make this on a master page if you have a lot of pages you are working with.

Improve/extend equalizer and add 3D sound. Sound quality really poor.

I've been using the 2g nano for a while now and i must say the audio quality is really poor if compared with my 3 year old iRiver (which only has 256mb memory). Lots of people keep saying how great the sound quality is but i believe people saysing that just dont know any better. For those who do hear the difference the only satisfaction is the storage capacity.
The Equalizer is a big shock. People (even Apple fans) say its best to leave it off for improvement. Why ? because turned on the music gets heavily distorted. People even blame their earbuds. So people go off and buy a €40 earbud just for that extra bit of improvement which the nano should already provide with the nano itself.
So this is what should be done :
- improve overall sound quality
- add custom equalizer
- add Xtreme 3D sound (= is a really big ++ iRiver users understand)

Just got this macbook, and i'm not impressed
How do i add bass to the sound? The sound quality is terrible and gives me a headache. I tried looking on the app store but its not free.

Your expectation of sound quality will never be realized simply due to the physical constraints of the speakers in the MBA. The speaker should be viewed as strictly utilitarian. If you want good sound, attach quality external speakers or quality earphones. Those are your only realistic choices.

If you use extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) like Adblock Plus or NoScript or Flash Block that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

You can use one of these to start Firefox in Safe mode:
*On Windows, hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox with a double-click on the Firefox desktop shortcut

I can find all the songs in much better quality, even on YouTube ...
I bought two other albums by Anberlin at the same time, on which the sound quality is much much better and perfectly clear.
