Panel arrangement in Muse

Is there a way to keep my panel arrangement consistent from one session to the next? I have 3 monitors and would like to keep the panels in a consistent pattern each time I open Muse.

Muse will remember the panel arrangements when re-opened after setting up. Are you referring with panel arrangement different for separate sites ? With multiple monitors too, Muse should show the same panel arrangement.

Dashed rule between menu items nested inside an accordion panel widget in Muse?

I have a vertical menu widget nested inside an accordion panel widget and I want a dashed rule under each menu item. I already know I can have a solid rule by assigning a stroke to just the bottom of each menu item container.
I manually created dashed rules by "step and repeating" a 1px black square followed by 2px of space to a 380px width. I positioned these dashed rules under each menu item and grouped them with the menu. Then I placed the menu widget with the dashed rules into the content container for the accordion panel. The menu expands and collapses in the Preview mode but the dashed rules don't show up.

Library Panel Missing in Muse

The library panel is completely missing; it's not just hidden. I'm on the newest version of Muse, just updated today, so that might have done it, but I'm not sure.

Using assets panel in Adobe Muse

I'm ready to export my html files for the first site I've designed in Muse. The assets panel will not let me upload 2 modified assets, even though they show up on alert in the panel. Why can't you simply double click on the alert and update the modified link?

You can simply right-click on the asset you want to relink and choose Relink. Refer screenshot below:

Is it possible to make/get a scrolling list in Muse?

So I have been trying all types of built in widget combining and online searching and am unable to find out how to make a scrollable content area. I want to make a a content area that is 300X600px and has 3 Tabs or something similar at the top. Inside each tab I need to put around 70 300X100px content areas for text/pictures. Obviously I can't put all 70 in there and have it fit in the 600px area, so I need them to be behind everything and simply scroll into view with a scroll bar or scrolling motion on a touch pad. Anyone know how to do this or where to get a widget that could accomplish this?

You can use tabbed panel for this , where the container will include the content listed and users can scroll the content on page. The tabs can be used to list different contents and categories like the example you have provided.

How to change colors in some Muse Widgets

After getting the perfect answer to my question about using new widgets from http://muse.adobe.com/widget-manager , I now have another one.
Customizing the widgets has been extremely easy except of only one part I cannot figure out: changing the color in some of them. Precisely, "Accordion (Panel Widget)" < http://muse.adobe.com/widget/panel-accordion-adobe >
I tried customizing the colors to fit my site's theme in photoshop but I could not replace the default colored banners/flags. Also, I do believe the banners are supposed to be able to be stretched across the screen to make it look 3D -- I was unable to resize them, either, like I could with similar widgets.

Hi, as you can see from the screenshot I provided, the widget uses 3 external images as backgrounds for the labels.
This means that you cannot change the color of the background directly in muse. You have to re-design the flags in Photoshop/Fireworks/Illustrator (or another application you like) and import as background image.
For the background width/height. You can choose:
1. Use the scale to fill option to adapt you image to the container's dimension. Be carefoul because if you size the image over the 100% you'll see it pixelated.
2. While you are re-redesign you flag with the right colour, choose also the right width/height valuse for your project.

I think you may be referring to Scroll Effects. The Scroll Effects are now located in their own panel. From Muse's Window menu, choose 'Scroll Effects' to display the panel with all the options.

Still can't dock Properties Panel at top in CS5

While I'm pretty happy with the improvements to Fireworks CS5 what I'm most annoyed with what Adobe didn't fix: Allowing the Properties panel to dock to the top!
This was something that you could do in CS3 and earlier, but was removed with the CS4 UI redesign, supposedly for suite consistency. I was hoping it would finally come back in CS5 but no luck.
Seems ridiculous to allow the 900-pixel wide Properties panel to dock to the sides but not the top! Not to mention, most other CS products (except Dreamweaver) have similar Options or Property inspectors at the top...so if they're going for consistency, they should allow the Fireworks Properties panel to dock the top. And, yes, I wish I could I move the Dreamweaver Properties panel to the top as well.

I've been using Fireworks for years and (for reasons I can't remember) have always had the Properties panel docked at the top.
Now, after paying lots of money to upgrade to CS5, I really can't believe that it won't let me have the panels arranged like I want them !
This may seem like a trivial issue, and I'm obviously not a normal user, but it's annoying me so much that I don't even want to use FW CS5

En fait , je lance le fichier d'installation "muse7-4    .. .exe" je clique sur le fichier mais rien ne se passe , l'application de l'installation reste dans "taskmgr.exe" (Task manager for you) pendant 10 secondes mais apres il se ferme.
Il s'installe correctement sur Creative Cloud, Désinstallable, mais impossible a éxecuter, il y a pas de "C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Muse CC.

When I want to add a YouTube window (Social>YouTube), Muse sudddenly shuts down.

Then drag it to your page and it should work fine. It displays a standard 'YouTube' image when rendered in Muse, so you won't get a nice preview of the video, but it also shouldn't crash.

Muse Project can´t be opened because muse wants to be updated (bus is the newest v7.2.232 version!)

Something's interferring with the successful completion of the install.
If you don't have a "Scroll Effects" entry in your Windows menu, then you don't have Muse 7. We have seen cases where an update would silently fail to complete successfully and would have updated the version number of the app but not in fact the app itself. It sounds like you're hitting this case, though I can't fathom how if there is no copy of Muse anywhere on your computer when you start the install.
After using the Windows Control Panel to remove Muse, if you search for Muse are there any hits on your computer?

Why can't I see a slideshow in a Time machine backup ?

I have created a slideshow which works fine, and shortly afterwards did a weekly backup using Time Machine.
I then made a small change to the slide show that changed the order (or rather the arrangement) of the pictures in the Sliding Panels themed slideshow. (annoyingly the change happened by simply un-ticking the 'show title slide' setting in slideshow settings). I want to return to the picture/panel arrangement that was in the original version, which happens to be better (I assume the selection is purely random) but when I look at the Backup in Time Machine I cannot see my slideshow, or any slideshow for that matter. So I have two questions:
1) Does Time Machine backup slideshows ?
2) If 'yes' how do I see them / restore them ?
(I have iphoto version 8.1.1 now, but this is because an automatic update has just kicked in. The slideshow was created using the previous version to this)

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You can use TM to restore individual photos/album or events or the entire library. When you restore the entire library you will get all books, slideshows, calendars, etc. that were there when the backup was made. You can also select to keep your existing library (depending on space available) in case the recovered library doesn't have everything you need.
