Panorama - won't align

I'm trying to do a panorama and it keeps telling me it fails because image won't automatically align.  Both photos are
same pixel size, heigth and width.  What's going on?

Hi,
Something has gone wrong with this discussion – I’m getting emails but the not all the messages show up online. Anyone have an idea of how to report this to Adobe?
I have set this reply up by email to see if it acts any differently.
I suggest that jpsanders999, (if he hasn’t given up in frustration) starts a new discussion (with similar title) with the current state as he sees it.

  • CS4 Photomerge Won't Align Images Correctly

I've used PS CS4 successfully several times to create panoramic images. I decided to re-do a panorama that I had created with an older version a few years ago, but CS4 won't align the images correctly. It keeps trying to make the horizon into a wavey line. It also is not giving me the option of adjusting its results. Is there anything I could do to fix this?

You probably don't want to hear this, but Photoshop CS5 apparently has improved horizon handling over CS4.  I've noticed the horizons in my panos are coming out better with CS5.
That said, have you tried "Cylindrical" mode instead of "Automatic"?

  • Can't get Photoshop CC panorama maker to align images properly on distant horizons.

Can't get Photoshop CC panorama maker to align images properly for objects further away (ie For distant horizons) Tried reloading CC but no better. Tried manually aligning images but when finished seems to jump and misalign everything as if I'd used auto. Is there anything I can do / doing wrong or is there a software glitch. Never had this problem until started using CC?

Hi Guys - Thanks for the info.
I have now downloaded the latest upgrade for Photoshop CC 2014 (the one that now opens photoshop with a face like 'The Scream') and it seems to have cured the problem. However, now Photoshop couldn't run any slower if it tried. Really really slow, and the more Panoramas I try to do, the slower it gets. Oh well, at least it works now.

HP photosmart B210 all of  sudden prints blank pages and won't align

    Hi @bhoover64,
I see that you are getting blank pages and the printer won't align. I can help you with this.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.

  • Images on sightseeing.html won't align with the column margins.

All six parts of the Bayside Beat tutorial were great!!!  The only problem I had was the images on the sightseeing.html page won't align with the column margins. They won't move all the way to the left or right.  In design view they align with the margins correctly, but in Live view mode or when viewed in a browser there is a space between the margin and the images.  The space is constant and doesn't vary with the width of the browser.
I unzipped the final version of the site to a new folder.   I viewed it in Chrome and in Explorer 11 and the images still won't align with the margins.  I'm using window 8.1 and DW CC6.
It's not a big deal, because I learned many things from the tutoral, but I still would like to know what I'm doing wrong.
    Thanks for any help.
    Design View
    Live View

Glad you enjoyed the tutorial videos.
Just looking at the screenshot of Live view, I would say that the problem is you haven't set the left margin in the floatleft class to zero. The image is wrapped in a <figure> element. Most browsers add a default 40px left margin to <figure>. Setting the margin to zero in a class overrides the default.

I'm thinking its because of the splitting and merging of your
    table
cells. You know you should not build a page using one giant
    table which
you then proceed to split into 'irregular' areas, which the
    browser has
    trouble deciphering.
You can test this out by inserting a 1 row x 2 col table
    above your main
table. Use the same code/css on each of the cells and you'll
    find the
text goes over to the right.......that probably tells you the
construction of your main table is 'wonky'

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 Premier prints only in black/MAC USER & won't align?

PROBLEM # 1) I've replaced all my ink cartridges, but can't find out why my printer is now only printing in black? I'm a MAC user, so I want to print in color, and am trying to find instructions for a MAC on how to get back to printing in color?
    ACTION TAKEN #1
UPDATE: I've done a three level cleaning of the printer heads, which DOES print in color and each color block now looks great.  The printer heads were not printing any color blocks, but the pink color block,  until the first third level cleaning. I then cleaned the printer heads a second time all the way through the third level.
RESULT: However when I print from any document/web page my printer only still prints in black & white after these two printer adjustments double three stage printer cartridge claening?
     ACTION TAKEN #2
    I found this very detailed report and video on cleaning printer heads, alignment issues, and calibrate line feeds;
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c01624398&lc=en&product=3964986&tmp...
The Print Quality Diagnostics Page looks perfect (including the alignment section)  in all 3 test patterns, and again prints in color.
RESULT: However, my printer still will not print in color after trying all these steps?
IPROBLEM #2)I  've also tried a align printer which also prints in color,  but states, "alignment failed see documentation manual"? To make the situation more complicated the alignment page looks perfect  and prints in color before the error message displays.
After puling the power cord  twice while ON  and wiating 20 seconds, as discussed in the above link. my printer "won't remove the, "align  error message see diagnostics manual".
RESULT: Printer "won't remove the, "align  error message see diagnostics manual", even though the Printer Diagnostic Pages looks great, and the alignment page as well.
I'm operating a lastest version Macbook Air laptop OS X 10.9.4. I have not upgraded to a new operating system since this problem started a week ago, and Ive owned this HP Printer for 2 years.
UPDATE: ISSUE SOLVED. Well you can imagine when I say that I spent about 2 hours on this yesterday that yea he's right. This took a long time to research and try all these solutions. I told my wife about the issue and had her try:
ACTION TAKEN #3: Print a page from a second computer. Windows laptop printed a colored page from a web site.
SOLUTION: (Printing only in Black Color): Wife literally solved the problem in 3 minutes!
Look below at the presets drop-down arrow tab, which is right below the printer name: You will see PLAIN PAPER, FAST DRAFT, BLACK AN(D WHITE). I'm not sure how I checked this, but this is how you can print only in black ink. NOTE: I looked at dozens of answers across the web, and didn't find this info anywhere else!
This screen shot show you what the setting should be if you want to print in fast draft mode to use the least amount of color ink.

    Hi monkplayer,
It looks like your problem is solved? There wasn't a problem with the printer itself, just the printer settings on your Mac?
This is good information though. We don't always have detailed solutions for customers that are using Safari, since it is hard to write instructions for the general public with specific steps for each operating system.
    Best of luck,
    Mary

  • Printerheads won't align

I have done everything posted here and HP even sent me new printheads.  I have now burned through $200 in ink, and 6 hours of time on the line with HP trying to align the printheads and it still won't work.  Any new suggestions?  This printer has now cost me a small fortune.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909G - Catridges won't align/new cartridges show low ink level

My 8500 tries to align after new cartridges installed, followed by "alignment failure" message. Initially started when I tried to print simple black type document and it came out blank. I have reset, unplugged, re-installed the cartridges, and still no improvement.

    Hello David_W,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue with an Alignment error.
I do have some steps that we can take to troubleshoot this issue.
First off, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
I have also located a document on An 'Alignment failed' Error Message Displays on the Printer Control Panel.
Please feel free to write me back if you have any other questions or concerns.

  • Photomerge panoramic won't open and gives "error 364" message

I shot my first panoramic set this morning and tried to load into the panoramic photomerge feature on PSE 6.0, but when I select that, it says "internal error: 364" and will not do anything. It gives me the "send error report" option and essentially locks up and freezes. I thought at first it was because of the raw to dng convesion so I made the images jpegs and tried that, but it does not appear to be the problem because I don't get to the point where I can load images. The first time I tried to select/load the images from the PSE 6.0 organizer and that failed. Then I open the PSE editor and tried to choose the photomerge pano option, expecting to be prompted to choose images, but I get the same error report. I have IBM laptop and run Windows XP. Any ideas?

Here is a link to another thread that mentions that some people have resolved this problem with Photomerge Panorama by uninstalling, cleaning up and reinstalling. Having anti-virus turned off during install activities is important. See the thread for more details.

    Jack Bush,
Since most people responding on these forums are other Adobe customers, we really don't have any info that directly helps to troubleshoot a message that references an internal error. So unless we have solved that problem on our system or someone else who has solved it then posts a description, we don't have any definitive answer.
For that error message when running PSE v7, you could contact Adobe Tech Support. If you do resolve the problem on your system, please do come back and post how it was solved. This will help other forum participants.

  • C8180 won't align with white paper

Hi just bought a used C8180.  The print test shows blank for light cyan and cyan and white stripes forj light magenta and magenta. I replaced all cartriges with new ones. I've run numerouse printhead cleaning and self test reports. Black print is fine.
    Photos are horrible.
When trying to align the printer, it gives the error of "use clean white paper". The white paper is 96bright and new.
I've turned the unit off and on, reinserted the cartridges.
    What else?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hi,
The printer uses a colored light to align the printhead. If the required color (in this case Cyan) is not printing - the printer cannot complete the alignment. If the printer does not know there is a problem, then it thing you are using a paper other than white.
It appears that the printhead of the printer is no longer functioning.

  • InDesign CS5 - Text won't align with shape

I've created shapes in InDesign CS5 and then added text boxes (separate elements).  When I try to align the text and the shape, the text box acts as if the wrap function is on and the text is not visible.  I've checked and the settings for both the shape and the text box are set to "no wrap."
I've tried searching for a solution online, but the answers I get are mostly related to wrapping text around a shape or other non-related issues.

Yes - I did that first, thinking I was "hiding" the text.  But the text is in front...
The advice by Willi Adelberger helped - putting the text directly into the shape seems to be working, though I noticed that the text is still not quite aligned correctly...

  • Photomerge Panorama won't launch

I recently purchased and downloaded an upgrade from Photoshop Elements 3.0 to Photoshop Elements 7.0. I am running a Windows Vista Home Premium machine with more than enough power on all points to handle the program.
In PSE 7.0, all functions seem to work fine, except that I am unable to launch the File - New - Photomerge Panorama function. I have tried this many ways, with photos loaded in the Project Bin and without, and always receive the same error. The error says:
Error 1: Unable to create Window - Internal error.
    Line: 364
    -> var w = new Window(res);
After finding a couple instances of this error in other users posts, I have tried the suggested solution twice, which is to uninstall PSE 7 and
then reinstall after rebooting in simplified mode. I did a full, clean uninstall, including running CS3clean on my system, as well as the other steps found at http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/photoshopelements-6-7-faq.htm#Try_Adobes_generic_troub leshooting. None of these steps -- the clean reinstall, starting in simplified mode or running as administrator yielded any different result. I always receive the error message above, which leads to a Windows dialogue box which suggests it is looking for a solution, but in the end simply closes the program.
I am desperate for a solution, as Photomerge Panorama is one of the key reasons I decided to upgrade to PSE 7.

So tonight I went back through all of the clean uninstall steps, including running the Windows Uninstall, manually deleting folders, and running CS3Clean multiple times at Level 2 until all was wiped clean.  Then in simplified / selective start-up mode, I downloaded the new Photoshop 8.0 and installed it.  So far it seems to work fine, including Photomerge Panorama.  Thanks for the help.
