  • How to remove glitters in Papervision3d Panoramic image?

    Hi All,
We are working panoramic images using Papervision3D. We have some shaking or glitters in panoramic image.
    Please check this link: http://www.saadhvi.com/papervision_final/Panoroma.html
How to remove that shaking and glitters?
    With Regards,
    Viswanath
    Have a nice day

When loading images from a server during runtime you can never be sure that there will be no delay.
What you could do is write a function, that checks with a progress Event how much of the next picture is loaded and base the percentage of the current pictures alpha channel on this figure.
Say the progressEvent from your Loader returns a number like 0.1....1.0 (10%...100% of the next picture are loaded)
    Then in an eneterframe you could use that number to modify the current Pictures alpha (like img.alpha = 1.0- progress);
A clear disadvantage is, that the tweens will always be different (depending on picture size/network traffic)

  • I am creating an Apple book of photos using iPhoto and a panoramic image.

I am creating an Apple book of photos using iPhoto.  I have a panoramic image that I have split into two 9.5X2.583 in pieces in PhotoShop.  I want to paste them into facing pages.  When I try to move the images to the book I get images much larger which won't fit on the page.  I am using Mac OS X 10.7.4 and iPhoto 11 (9.3.2).
What do I need to do to make this work?
    Thanks for your help.

Why not just use the full panoramic photo in one of the "spread" layouts which span two pages.
It's look something like this depending on the image size and theme and layout used:

  • Panoramic image prints in wrong orientation on roll paper

Trying to print panoramic image on roll paper on Epson Silver 1280 printer. Image displays in correct orientation in print preview box but prints across the roll paper as a cropped portion of the image which is 11" X 43" horizontal format. It's a Photoshop CS image printed on G4 powermac in system 10-3-9. Printer connected to computer via usb cable. Everything else prints fine. Just can't print on roll paper. Any thoughts??

    Also, just did this test:
I used all of my old settings:
    Roll Paper selected
    Ultra Prem. Photo paper luster
    Super 2880 dpi
    no high speed
And then I used the old paper profile for ilford gallerie smooth pearl. (I used this even though I'm currently printing on Ilford Prestige paper.)
And it came out with NO faint grey Border!
Then I tried it with all of those same settings, except I used the older profile for Ilford Gallerie Smooth Pearl for the ROLL paper (IGSPP11Roll_EPP4800_PSPPn.icc)
Then I got the grey border.
And finally just to make sure I wasn't crazy, I tried one more time:
All settings as above except I chose the GPSPP12_EPSpro4800_PSPPn
Which is the profile I downloaded to match the prestige paper.
    And GREY BORDER!
So It seems like using the prestige profile was giving me the wash of grey. And also the roll paper version of the old gallerie smooth pearl also gave me a grey border.
But what should I do now? I want to use the proper paper profile so my colors and tones come out right. I don't feel comfortable just using the wrong paper profile just to stop the border.
On another note, I researched the Highlight Point shift (based on advice I heard from a friend) and that really sounded like what was causing it. However, I am not even seeing that on my printing options. I must be using a different driver or something. When I'm in photoshop, i just select "File - Print" and then go through that normal dialog. Is there some other way to print that gives me many more options?
Thanks to you all for your help so far.

  • Panorama images files

Do you have any insight into the image specs of the source files used to create the Panorama images in PTgui or Pano2VR and then the specs/recommendations for the 6 images used in the overlay?

    Hi Monica,
I'm not sure exactly what information you are after so I'm going to give it a shot and see if this is what you are after.
First off PTGui and Pano2VR are two different types of applications. PTGui will stitch your images together to create a 360 x 180 panoramic equirectangular image as well as providing various export options. Pano2VR on the other hand doesn't actually stitch images but will take that equirectangular image created in PTGui and allow you to define parameters, attach UI skins and export in a number of ways including Flash/HTML using mult-resolution files.
So for PTGui your source files should be of the highest quality and resolution you can shoot. For example I shoot on a Canon 5D Mark 2 with a 15mm Canon Fisheye lens. This gives me a RAW file of approximately 28mb, I shoot 6 around and 1 vertically. When I stitch these in PTGui I'll end up with an equirectangular image around 10,000 x 5,000px.
I use Pano2VR, in conjunction with Photoshop, to do any retouching necessary using the patch tool. Then I create a set of output images, HTML and Javascript files because I incorporate the panoramas using a Web Content overlay (see Bob Bringhurst's excellent DPS Tips app for info on how to implement it). In creating the output I use the option to create multi-resolution files, that provide increased resolution as users zoom in.
Alternatively, if you only want to implement the panoramas via the Panorama overlay, you can use PTGui or Pano2VR simply to export the 6 images. In this case I'd export at around 1,000 x 1,000px in jpg format. If you are targeting higher spec devices you could increase the size.

  • Uploading Panoramic Images

    Hi,
How do I upload a panoramic image to the web without it shrinking in size upon veiwing. I have created the image myself without using PS' Photomerge.
    Thank you in advance
    - PS Cs2
    - Windows Vista

Most web browsers automatically reduce an image so that it will fit on the page. Clicking on the image, should enlarge the image.
That being said, it can also depend on how you upload the image, some sites, especially forums auto reduce images so that it does not break their forum design. But right clicking on the image should allow the viewer to see the entire image.
Thats about all the advice I can give until I know more about how the image is on the web.

  • Missing important image functions - going for Hype

I made a product presentation with a meny system and aniamtions using Edge.
I unfortunatelly found some very important functions were missing.
So I´m going for Hype now, that has got all of these.
So all the job has to be doe again :-(
I didn´t find any feedback area for Edge Animate, so I´m putting it here. The things missing are:
    - Automatic Image optimization (like in Muse)
    - No support for PSD
    - No retina support
    - Can´t replace image, e.g from PNG to JPG (I made it thou by editing the JS-file, but that seems scary)
These are all small matters for Adobe to fix and I suppose they are doing this in the future.
I really like Edge Animate thou, but since it lacks important workflow functions I can´t use it in production.

    Hi,
    Thanks. Yes, that worked.
I actually didn´t find this because in all other Adobe applications, this is done from the Library panel.
I really stress the importance for you to make your/Adobe applications the same. We users love Adobe apps, but are really not liking the unnecessary different solutions in some of them. It´s frustrating and a complete waste of time.
I actually remade the whole animation using (Tumult) Hype.
It´s much easier to work with. Edge seems good to work with Javscript, but with Hype editing Javascripts is not as much necessary since there are pre-made solutions.
You should also look into some things Hype has that is really important:
    - Automatic generation of Retina images
    - Automatic resampling of images
    - Scenes (a very nice way to work)
All in all, Hype is much more efficient to work with.
A thing that I do want in Edge (and Hype) is
    - When using Photoshop originals, it should be possible to set how each image should be exported, i.e as JPG (and setting quality) or PNG.
In the real practical user world, we do only want ONE image to carry around for different purposes, it.e web, animations, videos, print.
And when designing (doing layout) in i.e Edge, I do not always from start know if the image could be in JPG or if it must PNG because it is e.g. overlapping.
The feature of settings export options for Photoshop images, I also would like to see in Muse. As well as Retina support in Muse that i REALLY want.
I like Edge (and really like Muse), but as it is now, selection Hype is an easy choice over Edge.
I hope that you do update Edge to support an extremely good workflow - then I will certainly selected Edge, since I already do pay for it anyway
    Best regards

    Hi, man&mouse-
Please note that there is a way to swap images, though it will try to fit the new image into the old dimensions.
    Select your image element
In the properties panel, look at the Images section
Next to the image name, select the double arrow key
Select your new image (must already be in the Library)

  • I have an iphone 5 and i upgrade it to ios7.0.2 but my panorama image is not moving when i move my cell? is there any special setting?

i am not getting any panorama image is moving when i move my phone. Is there any special setting??

Are you talking about using the camera application?
I assume you are not ... instead I assume you are talking about a panoramic wallpaper that at one point during iOS 7 development was supposed to move when you move your iPhone.  That feature did not make it to iOS 7.

  • Creative Live! Motion Panoramic Image Updload?

    Hi there,
Love the camera, really full featured.. BUT:
The best thing about this camera is its panoramic image taking facility - to a numbered file anywhere you choose...
    but.... two things...
1). If there is a way to schedule all ofther kinds of images and events and sizes, surely to have a panoramic image displayed as a webcam image taken every minute or so would make amazing viewing on a webpage?
    - which is what i was hoping to achieve for our schools weather station.. Is there any way to automate this, i really dont think i oculd sit here and press this button every minute!
2). Also, is there any way to make each image have the same filename and simply overwrite? I know simple freeware such as FWINK do this wonderfully, but they wouldnt know how to control such a funky camera to take a panoramic image... so on our weatherstation page it just displays weathercam.jpg for example, which gets overwritten every 60 seconds...!?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!
    Andy / Ben

    Thanks for the reply Jeremy!
Right, checked out what you said the FTP upload single image bit would work - but as the previous camera saved to a single location and single filename on the hard dri've, which was actually part of a virtual directory and instantly part of the website - FTP isnt required in this situation. Shame I couldnt specify a single filename.
Even if I could get it to schedule a shot to a single file every 60 seconds there is still no way to schedule a panoramic shot - just all of the traditional aspect ratio ones, with only a take panoramic shot button in that mode.. I'm scouring everywhere for software that will, but I just dont think it exists!
Thank you for continuing to help!

  • Muse crashes randomly when using the place file/image function. And is slow!

    Hi guys,
I am using a MacBook Pro Retina i7 with 8GB ram. I installed the trail version of Adobe Muse and I am really liking the product so far, except that it crashes a lot, randomly, when I sometimes use the place file or place image function. (Command-D) Muse is also slow. I have little apps running, plenty of free space etc but Muse is sluggish, lags and crashes a lot.
Is there a known reason for this? This is preventing me from considering to buy the program.
    Please help,
    Regards,
    Riaan

    Thank you for that.
I will give it a try. Two things I noticed, I do have column view on, but sorted by type and then secondly I am placing images from my Google Drive and DropBox folder..
Will report back once I have had a chance to test it again.

  • How can I print out a Panorama image to fill up the paper

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500A printer and have taken a picture in the Panorama setting and want to print it out on a 4x6 but have it fill up the complete 4x6 paper, not just the center part of the paper. Can this be done without losing quality and if so, how?? I am running Windows Ultimate 64 bit

Hi if the picture is high res enough you can fill up the page without to much quality loss, should be a question of playing with the settings, you are however goin to lose a part of the picture or stretching the image. A better option might be purchasing some HP panorama paper.

  • Problem in insert image function

Hi there...I'm brand, spanking new to Dreamweaver CS3, and I
just started working through tutorials to try to learn the
software. I'm having a little issue with something that is problem
very easily fixable to the gurus here.
When I tell Dreamweaver to "insert image" through the Common
Bar, it takes me straight to the accessibility dialog. When I click
OK, it then puts a small box with no image on the page. I then have
to double click the box to tell it what image to place into the
image holder. This doesn't seem correct to me as I'm duplicating
steps. It's becoming annoying when I'm working with several images.
The tutorial I'm using shows another dialog box asking for the
image BEFORE the accessibility dialog box. It's not working this
    way for me.
    Can you help?
    Thanks!
    Kym

This is definitely an odd issue. Have you tried installing
any extensions to DW? If so, uninstall them and see if the function
    works.
If not try just try inserting an image by clicking the
drop-down arrow next to the insert image button and then click to
insert an image and see if it takes you to the right screen.
If that doesn't work you may need to try re-installing the
program. I would suggest some other OS specific things you can do
such as trashing the preferences file from the Mac OSX library, but
I don't know what OS you are using so it wouldn't help to tell you
these steps as at this point it might just be more beneficial to do
    a re-install.

  • How to view the image as cylindrical view in panorama image viewer?

i am facing the problem to view the image as cylindrical view.
i.e, the image moved at the end position ,the image seems to jump to the start.
instead of this the image should view as cylindrical view. i.e, that the end of the image sticks to the beginning of the image.

}plz help me regarding this concept

I have learnt a technique when I am programming in flash.
Assume you have a photo cat.jpg with 10 units in width and 10 units in height. You can have a view(viewport) 10 units in width and 10 units in height.
The following shows the width of the photo:
    012345679
To show an effect of panorama, you can draw 2 photo at any time. I assume the eyesight of a person move from left to right with 1 unit at a time.
    The original image is 0123456789.
If the person move eyesight to right by one unit, the image become
    1234567890
If the person move eyesight to right by one more unit, the image become
    2345678901
You can program the by drawing 2 images at any time.
    0123456789(zero width for second image)
123456789(0, 1 unit in width in second image)
23456789(01, 2 unit in width in second image)
To display part of image, try this link to a program to crop image

  • Is it possible to extract a full VR panorama  image from a QuickTime movie?

I have created several panoramas - usually 180 to 230 degrees each - and saved them in QuickTime mov format. Is it possible to export/extract the full image from the .mov as a JPG, or TIF(F)using QuickTime Pro or some other program? The QuickTime Viewer does not show the entire image in one shot. As with all virtual reality, the viewer can pan around - up, down, left, right - the image. I want the entire image exported as one piece.
Thanks in advance for your kind assistance.
    Rick

I don't know if that software exists. I do know that QuickTime can only export the "frame" currently in the Player window.
Best method to de-construct a QuickTime VR file is with the software that created it.
