Pantalla b540

Se me partio por accidente la pantalla de mi b540, la consulta es si puedo deshabilitar el touch para poner pantalla externa o algo asi, ya que en el centro de servicio llevo un mes y ni siquiera he recibido una cotizacion, si me pueden ayudar gracias.

Hola, no se muy bien a que te refieres, si el el modelo IdeaCentre B540 y lo tienes en reparacion, estas sin maquina, comentame esta duda.
Por otro lado, si no es esto, creo que no debe afectar en una pantalla externa, de todas formas te dejo los dos procedimientos que conozco para deshabilitar la pantalla tactil, como depende del sistema operatvo, supongo que son validos tambien para los "Todo en Uno" al menos uno de ellos debe poder resolverlo, los pasos son aproximados dependiendo del SO instalado:
1.- Panel de control - Lapiz y entrada tactil - Tactil - Desmarca la opcion (si existe) de utilizar el dedo como dispositivo de entrada
2.- Panel de control - Adminisrador de dispositivos - Dispositivos de interfaz de usuario - Pantalla tactil - Propiedades - Controaldor - Deshabilitar

Remote for B540 AIO

Hi all,
I purchased a B540 AIO last month. But I still could not figure out what is the remote for. The remote model is RC2604327. The configuration number for the PC is 57311751. The remote doesn't seem like working with the PC at all.
I called the tech support, and was told that the remote is supposed to work with TV tuner only. Since my PC doesn't have TV tuner, so it won't work. But I simply could not understand, why Lenovo send me a remote in the package that they know it won't work. And eventually it's piece of garbage that I can't throw into trash can for environmental reason. Lenovo is still selling the same PC with the same remote in configuration. Anyway, all these don't sound reasonable to me. I am wondering, is it true? Or actually I got a defective IR remote?

Welcome to the Lenovo Community.
The tech support representative is right, the remote control model # RC2604327 is for the TV Tuner (see 23 of User's Guide on how it works - also, the TV tuner is an add-in for B540 selected models).
If you're not planning on getting a TV Tuner add-in, you can try to sell it on ebay for an extra $$.

there was error message "This software can only be installed on a lenovo system"

Does ThinkVantage System Update 5.06 work on B540 AIO?

Can someone clarify if ThinkVantage System Update 5.06 can be used on the Ideacenter B540 AIO? Says in the ReadMe txt file that it supports Lenovo V/B/K/E Series. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the quick reply. Guess I have to use Device Manager to update drivers, etc. BTW the Warranty Info and Support & Download links for my country (http://www.lenovo.com/contact/sg/en/index.shtml) do not work. Think all support here is outsourced, which is why I'm grateful for this forum.

HDMI Output Not Working on Lenovo B540

Yesterday morning the HDMI output on the back of our Lenovo B540 stopped working all of a sudden. I have a projector as a secondary monitor that I use for media applications which connects via a SVGA to HDMI converter which has worked flawlessly for months until yesterday. My first inclination was the converter but after some troubleshooting I have determined that the issue is somewhere in the Lenovo AIO system. Below are the steps I followed to make my determination:
1. Tried connecting Lenovo to another known-good monitor and nothing. The display property picks up the monitor's attributes like make and model and even resolution but no display.
2. Plugged projector into another computer WITHOUT converter and it WORKED.
3. Plugged in project into the same computer that I used in step 2 above WITH converter and it still WORKED.
Steps taken to resolve (without success yet):
1. Updated Intel HD Graphics display driver to 10.18
2. Installed latest graphics chipset update from another forum post I found suggesting that might be the issue.
3. Changing "Source Select" from bottom right hand corner of system (icon with arrows forming circle) but it ONLY shows "PC" option. Not sure if that's the issue or not, but wanted to mention it.
My next step is to completely uninstall the display driver and try seeing if second monitor shows display.
My last step which I would like to avoid if all possible is a factory reset as I have many applications installed that I would like to avoid reinstalling if at all possible.
Any further assistance with this issue would be greatly appreciated. I feel like it's a driver/configuration issue, but I'm not finding it yet.

I wanted to reply that I just discovered that my Lenovo AIO no longer likes my converter. I'm not sure why as I have proven that it works by using it on another device. The other device is a laptop running Windows 7 Pro.
On a haunch, I plugged in my HDMI TV which has a native HDMI connection and it WORKED. So, I suppose I'm back to the drawing board and this is indeed not a Lenovo hardware issue.
Does anyone know of any issues with using a HDMI to VGA converter on a Lenovo B540 AIO? Link below:

How do I get the TV to work on B540?

I have a B540 and would like to enable the TV function, but I cannot find the instructions anywhere. The model does not have the TV buttons down the side, but the PC label states it has an integrated TV tuner, and there is a UK arial port on the back. I have read other postings over Avermedia cards etc, but I need to find very basic instructions for what to do. Do I need to buy and arial? Then what do I do? Can anyone help me to set this up?

The Ideacentre B540 that comes with a TV Tuner usually comes with a TV button on the right side, and a remote control (the tv button opens up a TV software where it outputs the tv channels).
To use the TV Function:
1. Ensure that you have the TV Tuner driver installed from the Lenovo Website (see device manager > Sound, video and game controllers)
2. Connect a DVB-T antenna into the TV connector (if you have a digital box, see this guide)
3. if you don't have the TV button, setup Live TV in Windows Media Center (see this guide)
If you have a remote control, check page 23 of the User Guides for more info

How do I reinstall my IdeaCentre B540 (Hard Drive Crash)

My Segate Barracuda 7200.12 1 TB Hard Drive has stopped spinning. I have an IdeaCentre B540 All-In-One PC Desktop. How do I get a Install Windows 8 64 Bit Install DVD or downloadable image to restore my OS and Drivers and software to a newly installed hard drive?

You can download and install iTunes from here www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you are in the US, and the music is still available in the store and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to purchase them, then you should be able to re-download your music purchases for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
If you are not in the US then there is currently no re-download option, so you would need to copy a backup onto the computer

Problema al conectar el mac a tv philips, pantalla en rosa

Hola, tengo un macbook air de diciembre de 2012, y mi tele es una philips, al conectar con el hdmi y un adaptador para el thunderbolt; se ve perfectamente, pero al cabo de un rato la pantalla se pone de un color rosa y verde, como puedo solucionarlo?

Puede ser que se deba a un problema con la configuracion de la television, si funciona con otra television entonces debe de ser algun problema de configuracion, haz probado conectar otra maquina a esa tv?

Idea Centre B540 "Optional Features"

I am just about to buy the B540 online but im held back by certain important features being noted as "optional" (ie: HDMI output, 3D Vision, TV Tuner, Blu-ray etc.). I cannot seem to find out how these optional features are added to my cart/spec nor how much these "optional features" cost, or even if they are in fact included in the spec.
Has anyone purchased this model and know the answer to these questions?
NB: Its really annoying that I can't call or chat to anyone at Lenovo outside normal working hours, nor can I find an email address to send my query.....appologies if I am wrong and just not looking in the right place!

Ayuda, el video digitalizado aparece con la pantalla partida.

Resulta que estoy trabajando con Premier Pro 2.0, a la hora que comenze a digitalizar mi material me di cuenta que el video aparecía con la pantalla ...partida. Es decir: Tomando como referencia el centro de la pantalla, del lado izquierdo me aparecen los tonos más claros, y del lado derecho más oscuros, como si tuviera un filtro de luz. Alguien me puede decir porqué ocurrio esto, y si puedo corregirlo en la edición...o de algún modo. Grabé un evento muy importante. Gracias.

Installing Windows 7 on a B540

Hello, I purchased a new B540 All-in-one from Best Buy and had the Geek Squad downgrade the operating system to Windows 7. The computer was purchased for my sister, who uses Windows 7 on her laptop. The first day I used it for 8 hours without a problem, loading antivirus from Comcast, etc. The second day I used it, the mouse pointer was jumping all around, making the computer unusable. There would be intermittent circles appearing, and programs opening by themselves.I swapped the mouse, but the problem continued.
I love this computer otherwise. Upon returning it to the Geek Squad, the tech said it might be a touch sensor driver.
He also said the computer might not be able to run Windows 7. Could that be true?
Is it possible that an automatic update online could have undone the work of the Windows 7 installation? If so, how do I protect it from happening again? Thanks very much for your help.

Para liberar a memória ram feche a referência do arquivo e abra novamente de forma periódica. Senão fizer isso e um problema acontecer você irá perder os dados coletados.

B540 - front panel not responding

The touch button (vloume, brightness) at the bottom of the screen are not working. Is it spoilt or have I accidentally disable them ?

I’m sorry to hear that the front panel touch buttons are not working as expected in your B540 All-In-One computer, I suggest you to check if the issue persists in BIOS menu as well. To access BIOS menu press F1 Key at the time of startup before the Lenovo Logo appears on the screen, then check if the touch buttons are working. If the issue persists in BIOS menu then it is hardware related. I would Strongly Suggest Calling Technical Support for Assistance for further assistance.
