PAP2T behind ASUS WL600G

I am trying to run a PAP2T adaptor behind an ASUS WL600G. I have it working but only intermittently. i.e. I can call some no's but dont receive calls...
Tried Port forwarding but that's not working. Need help please!

i think you need to Reset your Phone adapter and re-configure all the settings on it again. Pick up the Phone which is connected to the adapter, and enter 73738, Enter 1 to confirm ,Enter * (star) to cancel ...After you have entered your password, the Phone Adapter will request confirmation. After confirmation, you will hear, “Option successful.” Hang up the phone. The Phone Adapter will reboot and all settings will be reset to their factory default settings...Now you can Re-configure all the settings on your Phone, and check if you are able to make calls and receive calls.
If still dosent work thenyou need to upgrade the firmware of your Adapter. Click on Download the firmware file......save that file on desktop..and upgrade that firmware on your phone adapter.

  • Want to be an unpaid beta tester ? K8N Diamond Plus and press search !

    Dear all,
This A8N Diamond Plus with  Nvidia AMD x16 motherboard technology is becoming a bundle of issues and we the customers who paid approx. 200 Euro's for this board are the unpaid beta testers.
I must say not only MSI is responsible for all this sh.. , but is this the way to run a business?
Many of us have spent hours and hours already, trying to find solutions for compatability problems and bios stability issues.
I think this is why the PC is doomed to loose more and more gamers in time ...or are we talking  Microstar Chinese here ?
    Greetings

    Hello,
It reminds me of Windows OS's, Microsoft releases half baked OS and we beta test it for them for free.
With all new releases of motherboards there's going to be bugs. Unfortunately MSI can't test all of them way to many devices out in the market to do that ( I think ). So they test the most popular brands and models with the board. I think that they didn't want to fall too far behind ASUS, which I think release their SLI 16x first, so they made the hardware side stable as it can be and released their version of it, while hoping when they release their BIOS updates will fix any issues with the board.
I can say that I'm one of those beta testers since I bought the board and I can say that I'm one of the lucky ones that isn't having any issues with the board, knock on wood   Yes I do get the phantom modem if I disable the onboard audio but since I use the onboard audio, it's not a problem. Oh, and ntune doesn't work for this board either it doesn't run or it freezes up the computer, but I know how to do it in BIOS to OC the cpu.
Unfortunatly there isn't a 100% PERFECT motherboard out there, they all have some kinds of bugs in them.
I guess for good advice is to wait for a few months before buying a newly release motherboard or wait until new BIOS's pop up on MSI websites.
Well that's my 2 cents anyway.

  • Audio begins lagging behind video in iTunes;  other video works fine

Something that appears to have started after iTunes 10.x as I don't normally play too many videos on the PC from iTunes is regarding video playback in iTunes. The longer a video plays the longer the lag between what's showing up on the screen and the audio portion. If I stop and start the video it starts off synced again and then begins lagging. If I go outside of iTunes I can play other video formats such as wmv, avi, with no trouble, DVD and BluRay playback are not affected. The video files from iTunes play fine on my iPad. I can see no obvious cause for this, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have a decent high end PC running Windows 7 64 bit, with a quad core i7 processor, 6 GB of RAM, a terabyte of disk space, and an ATI 4870 HD video card.
    Thanks much!
    Chris

I'm having the same problem. As I play ted podcast, the video starts lagging behind audio, and the longer I play, the more pronounced the effect. As I pause, video and audio re-synchronize.

  • Problem with spa400 and pap2t

    Hello,
I have a problem with spa400 and pap2t. If from analogue telephone behind pap2t call outside, work, cal call go out go into spa400 e on the rtg system.
If I call from external, the calll arrive to spa400 but the spa400 don't forward the call to papa2t.
    Suggestions?
    Thanks

No the experiment is just with spa400 and pap2t. spa 9000 there isn't.
There is a method for using the call incoming and outcoming only with this spa400 and pap2t.
    Thanks!

  • How do I install firefox on my Asus EeePC having downloaded and decompressed it?

My notebook came with firefox installed on the Xandros operating system, but I have been prompted to download the latest version. I have done so and now need to load into the system. I have no instructions for that I realize I need to get the command console up but what do I type into this? The Xandros system has an add new software button but only for the existing linux - it does not recognise ither versions

    How old is that EeePC?
If that is one of the original versions, from 2007 - 2009, the Xandros operating system doesn't support anything newer than Firefox 2.0 !
I have a EeePC 900, and in 2009 I installed EasyPeasy OS [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EasyPeasy] so that I could run Firefox 3.6. Unfortunately, EasyPeasy was discontinued in 2012 altogether, but work on it had quit in like 2010 when Ubuntu started adding files needed for Netbooks like the EeePC.
Overall, ASUS used a weird OS to begin with on the first EeePC 700 model - Xandros, which was already a couple of years behind the Linux-curve as far as security updates and file version levels. And then ASUS didn't provide funding to the team that created Xandros to make it more up-to-date.
Then there is the issue of Microsoft seeing the Netbook market slip thru their fingers, and MS putting pressure on ASUS to use a "Lite" version of WinXP, which did become an option after the 900 versions. But that's another story ...
Bottom line is that you need a different, newer Operating System for that device to be able to use a newer version of Firefox. Best thing to do is to head over to the Ubuntu support fora and ask about an appropriate Linux distro for your EeePC.
    http://ubuntuforums.org/
I don't use my EeePC for the purpose I originally got it for ''(the company I worked in for 2008 went bust in 2010 - I was an outside service rep and did on-site job reporting with the EeePC which fit in my toolbag)'', and I never updated it beyond EasyPeasy and Firefox 3.6. I use it now on my local network in my home and don't go on the internet with it. Basically a terminal on the network for viewing and editing locally saved files when I am watching TV, during commercials.

  • PAP2T acting very strange

Hi I'm using pap2t for my voip CIA/3WEB in canada / ontario provider. I do use their linksys voip profile with a modification for usage behind the router. The problem i get is every time I reset the adapter and program it for my VoIP provider the unit works fine for about an hour, later I'm not able to access configuration web interface, i cannot access user interface not even admin interface, it does not allow me to log in. Later after couple hours the device just stops and I cannot make any calls and the Line 1 light is off so its not connected at all, and still I cannot access user/ admin interface to see what is the problem. Is this a common problem or is there a wrong configuration that does change the passwords and then disconnects the phone ?
Also another strange think I'm experiencing is that Im using a nortel 350 Vista phone and if the line is disconnected on dysplay it says Message Waiting and the red light flashesh.
Does anyone know to fix the Pap2T so it does not change the passwords and keeps alive on the line ?
My cable connection is always on and by the logs I can see it does not disconnect.
    Thank you.
    Solved!

    So how do you recover?
I would try disabling Provisioning on the Provisioning Tab.  Provision Enable Yes allows remote changes to your configuration.  Some voip providers are setup to do that.
"Keeps alive on the line"  generally means that the PAP2 continues to register periodically.  If something is altering your parameters that could cause a problem.

  • PAP2T with Axon server proble

    Hi all,
I've been using Axon together with X-Lite and have had no issues with it. Recently, I bought a Linksys PAP2T... Unfortunately I've been having lots of trouble with it.
The PAP2T, Axon server and X-Lite are all on the same subnet with no firewalls/routing/etc.
    - When I call the PAP2T from X-Lite, the call is successful. However, when I hook the phone (connected to the PAP2T), Axon does not drop the call (and X-Lite still shows the call as active).
    - When I call X-Lite from the PAP2T, the call connects for around 8 seconds (sound passes through normally) and then suddenly the call is dropped.
    - When I call from Phone 1 to Phone 2 of the PAP2T (both registered as different extensions on Axon), the call only connects for about 8 seconds (as above) after which the call drops.
Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong? It's been quite frustrating for me and I've dug around many forums but cannot find any answers unfortunately.
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Tim.

Hi, I have the SPA9000 as my PBX, new Gigaset phones for users and PAP2T for connecting older non voip phone (polycom conf phones)
The whole setup is on the same LAN but behind a NAT/Firewall with DHCP coming from the NAT/Firewall.
The SPA9000 is connected to my network via the WAN port
I want both the VOIP phones and the PAP2T to use the SPA9000 as its SIP provider.
I have now got the PAP2T working with the SPA9000!! If it helps anybody else this is my setup:
I have a password set on the SPA9000 (set by going to SIP tab on the SPA9000 (from admin/advanced login mode) and setting Phone Ext Password: - which is right at the bottom).
NOTE: You may not need to set a password - I do because I'm also using using Gigaset VOIP phones that wont connect to the SPA9000 without a password.
On the PAP2T I have set (using the web interface of the PAP2T) from the Line1 TAB
    a) Sip port to be one not used by any other phone (unique)
    b) Proxy to the ip address and port of my SPA9000 (e.g. 192.168.1.2:6060) . You will need to set the values based on your setup of the SPA9000
    c) Set user ID to the extension no I wanted the phone to be on (e.g. 2503)
    d) Set the password to be the same as the SPA9000
    e) Set the use Auth ID to YES
    f) Set the Auth ID to the extension no I wanted the phone to be on (e.g. 2503)
    g) Line enabled to yes!
    And it works!
    Thanxs

  • Asus K50IN

I'm considering buying this Asus laptop but was wondering if anyone has it currently or would recommend/not recommend it.  It is an outlet item, so it's online purchase only.  I wish I could see it first hand, but I can't.  The link is below.  I was looking at the U81A model a couple of days ago but it's no longer available.
    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9548322&st=asus+laptop&lp=5&type=product&cp=1&id=12181...
Let me know any opinions about this laptop.  Thanks in advance!
    -Sean

    Hi Sean,
This would be one of the laptops i would recomend highly to any customer. Reason being it has one of the number one manufactures warranties and is one of the most put together laptop brands we sell. The manufactures warranty gaurantees second day repair and it has great customer service behind it. ASUS is my favorite manufacturers of computers.
Let me know if you have any further questions!!!

  • Asus charger+ and USB 3.0

My PC has multiple USB 3.0 ports on both the rear and front panel, it also comes with Asus software that has a feature called charger plus. Once on this it clearly mentions the fact it can charge I devices such as iPhones and iPads. My issue is once connected my iPad does not show up and the same thing happens for my iPod 5 as well.
Can anyone else share there experiences with this software and confirm if it's just me or do all devices not work?

Thanks everyone for all the help.  GraphiteGal, I received your pm's -- yes, I am in NYC here in the states.
Called ASUS today, and they ran me through the same stuff.  My biggest question to them was - do you know where to get the ASMEDIA drivers directly.  They were puzzled at first and then found me this link: http://www.station-drivers.com/page/asmedia.htm
It's not even on the official ASMEDIA site, which is impossible to navigate anyway.
So ASUS told me that their most current driver for my MB was 5-6 revisions older than the one available above.  I installed that and right now, the drives seem to be working in USB 3.0.  I also updated the renesas driver not from the link from above, but from the same station-drivers website.  Ther version found here is slightly newer: http://www.station-drivers.com/page/renesas.htm
My Read/Write speeds on the 3TB drives are now 173/163 MB/s on one drive and 181/176 MB/s on the second drive while plugged into 2 of the 4 rear ports as per the HD Tune Pro file benchmark test.
My card reader seems relatively slow reading a class 10 16GB SD card at around 20 MB/s.  Still not convinced this is proper.
We'll see if this lasts.  It feels like they're solid now because the drives were subjected to multiple tests and manual file transfers without crashing.
These are all the steps I took in case some other poor soul runs into this:
Disable Legacy USB 3.0 Support in BIOS
Disable USB 3.0 Selective Suspend in Windows Power Settings
Update Asmedia driver manually (link above)
Update Renesas driver manually (link above)
In device manager for everything USB 3.0 - uncheck -- "Allow computer to turn this device off to save power"
-- Also important to note is that the ASUS USB 3.0 Turbo feature no longer recognizes the USB 3.0 drives, so it can no longer be enabled as far as I can tell.  I am one bios version behind, but that should not matter in this case.

  • MSI K8N Neo Platinum Edition vs. ASUS K8N-E Deluxe

I'm beginning to get nervous. Since almost everyone has had problems with the MSI board, I'm beginning to doubt it's a good choice...
I've been looking some at the ASUS K8N-E Deluxe. Is this board a better choice?

    *dons flame-suit*.
I don't think anyone is going to flame you... but I will point this out:
You are over clocking. ? You'll get varied results from any brand.
Like there's some inherent warranty behind overclockability. Give me a break.
I had an ASUS board where a diode EXPLODED and took out a Thunderbird. I handled it with support... like I should have.
    God I hate whiners.
Listen bud, I ain't a whiner, but I say things how I see them and I don't needlessly mince my words, in my job it desn't pay to.  I don't pussy-foot around anyone.  Also, i've been overclocking a long while now, likely far longer then your wee self, and i've used a wide range of motherboards on both the AMD and Intel platforms.
Also, God knows what you're talking about with the "inherent warranty behind overclockability" part as that's not even in context, I made no reference to the warranty, merely on the board's performance and my opinions on MSI.  They weren't offensive, merely informed opinions.
If you're going to attempt a put-down, please try and make it vaguely relevant and remotely intelligent.  Otherwise...
Just for the record, my first overclocked machine was an 80286
lol same here tiresmoke, touche sir.
And SAB I hear you mate, i'm sure you love MSI motherboards, but review after review has shown they are not the best, in terms of stability or overclocking, especially overclocking in fact.  Ask 9/10 reviewers and they would rate ABIT, DFI or ASUS over MSI every time.  But the very fact that I bought an MSI motherboard shows I am willing to give them a chance, and I will wait until the next BIOS update for the NEO Platinum before I make my final judgement on my first ever MSI product.  If the BIOS turns out to be a dud and doesn't solve the many issues with this board, i'll say bye bye forever, as many others no doubt will who have bought the MSI Neo Platinum as their first MSI motherboard, mainly because it was the first Norce3 250GB to be released.

  • Issues with Arch, xorg and Asus eee 4G 701

Hello, this is my first post here
I installed Arch 2009.02 on my Asus eee 701(4G), the installation went well and the system was up and running within minutes. I configured the wireless card (Atheros) which arch supported out-of-the-box and updated the system with pacman -Syu. Then, I installed the intel driver for the vga of the eee and attempted to configure X.
The issues started at this point. "Xorg -configure" appeared to work, but when I did "X -config /root/xorg.conf.new" all I could see was the mouse cursor as an X and nothing more. The touchpad didn't respond and nothing worked.
Then, I tried using "xorgcfg" but even though the screen worked great (I could see the stuff displayed), the system couldn't receive any input from the touchpad and thus the result was just a little bit better than with "Xorg -configure". I tried to reboot and use a USB mouse to see if the cursor responded but to no avail...
As a last resort, I decided to use the xorg.conf found on the eee page of the archwiki. I downloaded it in my PC, saved it and used wget to move it from my ftp server to the eee. I moved it to /etc/X11/ as xorg.conf and attempted to run "X -config /etc/X11/xorg.conf" to see if it worked. Unfortunately, no result. xorg attempted to start and then quit with the error "Fatal server error:  no screens found".
That's pretty much it... I have no idea what to do next or why the xorg.conf found in the Arch wiki doesn't work... Any suggestions would be really appreciated...

I did what you suggested above, but it still fails. Then I studied the log and I found this:
Parse error on line 10 of section files in file /etc/X11/xorg.conf
"RgbPath" is not a valid keyboard in this section
Any suggestions on how to solve this?
EDIT: OK, the discussion page on the Archwiki helped. All I had to do was remove the  'RgbPath "/usr/share/X11/rgb"' line and xorg worked flawlessly

  • Cam I use Asus mini display to VGA adapter on mac with thunderbolt port

I don't have a apple mini display to vga adapter, but my friend have a Asus branded with similar design like apple, I have a presentation two days more, so I need answer quick!!!

I mean the Mini Display to VGA as in this website:

  • Can anyone help me solve the problem of text displaying very rough on my new ASUS PA279Q display monitor running off my MacBook Pro?

This is regarding a brand new ASUS PA 279Q, 2560 x 1440 IPS monitor. I'm connected via mini display port (into thunderbolt port on MacBook Pro) to display port on ASUS monitor; using cable ASUS included with the monitor. Mid 2012 MacBook Pro…full specs at bottom of this post.
I have resolution set at 2560 x 1440 which is the native resolution according to the ASUS spec. I tried the other resolutions available in my System Preferences and text displayed rough with those settings too. I've tried adjusting contrast, brightness and sharpness via the ASUS control panel and didn't solve the problem. Also tried calibrating via Mac's system preferences/display and that did not improve text display either. All the text on this monitor (no matter what software I launch, Finder, InDesign, Illustrator, MS Word, Excel, VMWare Windows XP, Windows versions of Word, Excel, Acrobat, etc, all are consistently rendering text the same way ---  ROUGH and with "HALOS" around each letter.
All point sizes of text and at various scales, display very rough on the screen. (My comparison is the retina display of my MBP and a Thunderbolt…so those two displays are my expectations.) I'm using the same MBP for both a Thunderbolt display (at work) and this ASUS at my home office.
On the ASUS it's not as noticeable when the text is on white backgrounds, but I'm a graphic designer and compose images with text all day everyday. Not to mention the specs on this ASUS PA279Q indicate it's built for the professional so I would expect better text rendering. I haven't even addressed color calibration and balance yet, because that won't matter to me if the text won't display any better than it is now.
I was so hopeful after researching all the specs on this monitor it would be a viable alternative to the glossy display of the Thunderbolt display. (Which, I do love the Thunderbolt display for it's clarity and how it displays crisp, clean text at all sizes. (This ASUS actually displays text decently if I increase the text so each letter is about 4" high. Which is pointless for practical purposes -- that'd be like doing page layout through a microscope!)
I kept holding off on getting a monitor for the home office thinking the Thunderbolt would be updated soon. I'd be sick if I dropped a grand on piece of 2011 technology only to learn a few days later an updated Thunderbolt display hit the market! Not to mention, I'm praying Apple comes out with a less reflective Thunderbolt display. The glare and reflection is the main reason I looked elsewhere for a large monitor; hence my asking for help. Hoping the ASUS text display issue can be worked out. My expectation is for it to display like the MBP retina and Thunderbolt display text. That possible?
Alternatively, I guess I could do the Apple Refurb Thunderbolt at $799. And see if there's a decent aftermarket anti-glare I could stick on it?
Thanks for reading my post. Hope someone can help; offer any suggestions? Words or wisdom?
Has anyone else had similar issues and figured out a resolution? Help!
    MacBook Pro
    Retina, Mid 2012, 2.3 Ghz Intel i7
    8GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    OS X 10.8.5
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
    ASUS PA279Q

I uninstalled those two items. It still runs slow on start-up and when opening safari, firefox, iphoto, itunes, etc. It's not snappy like it used to be. Any other ideas? Thanks.

    Nothing ?
Switchng off hal deamon and cleaning ~/.kde* has no effect...
So, after searching on google again an again, still nothing found.... even among the Ubuntu specific issue where post are terminated
with "wait next version of the package", the windows-style answer.
I will continue my attempts to fix this... but my conclusion about this is that hal was more precise in his behavior than udev...

  • Udevd and creation of /dev/dvb/adapter0 fails for U3100 Asus

    Hello all,
I have 3 arch PC's all running  3.14.4-1-ARCH properly updated. For some reason all 3 fail to create a /dev/dvb/adapter0 or adapter1 device when I plug in a dvb usb stick.

Seems like /dev/dvb/adapter0 is created and removed, not even a /dev/dvb/adapter0 folder remains. Strange enough, on of the systems has a PCI DVB-S card and there the DVB-S adaptor0 is created but creation of adapter1 (for the U3100) there also fails in the same way.
Does anyone have a clue on how to search  for a solution?
