PAP2T unable to power/operate external bell system

I have a customer that had a bell that rang when they received a call over analog. I tried to transfer the same system over to their new location but I'm unable to figure out how to make the bell ring. I have the PAP2T configured to ring in the same hunt group as the main phones. I don't come across any signs of response from the bell. Right now it goes from the ATA to a shielded pair to the bell exactly as before at the previous location. All is set up properly through the wiring. Ive logged in the ATA and edited the Voltage output and wave form in the regional tab(advanced view) while logged in as admin. As of now I'm completely stumped as to what to change from here. If you could give suggestions as what might work I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks, Keith

Connect an ordinary analog phone to the PAP2T in place of the cable from the bell.  Does it ring properly?  If not, check the Info page when it should be ringing to see if the PAP is trying to ring the phone.  If not, check that it's being correctly addressed.  If needed, use SIP Debug to see if it's getting a proper INVITE, etc.  If the PAP is trying to ring, but the phone remains silent, check voltage/frequency/waveform/cadence.  If no luck, you may have a defective unit; try the other port.
If the test phone rings ok, get the bell and hook it up through a short cord.  If it rings now, check your cable for a short or open.  If it's ok, but the bell won't ring through the cable, even with 90 V, trapezoid, and trying 20, 25, 30 Hz, then maybe the PAP just can't supply enough current to ring that bell.  As a sanity check, connect the bell (with its cable) to a POTS line and see if it will ring.  It's possible that a bell that draws a lot of current will cause a false ring 'trip'.  If that happens, you'll see it on the Info page; perhaps a lower voltage will avoid the problem.

  • Unable to power down

I have a MacBook Pro, lately it has been really slow and I am unable to power down without using the power button.  I am able to logoff just fine, but when I try to power down It just sits there with the little spinning icon.  i've left it overnight and nothing.  I have erassed the free space, removed everything from my trash.  Cleaned up my desktop thinking something would make a difference.  Any thoughts out there as to what else I can do?
Thank You for any help you can give.

Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
    Do the following:
    1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed with reinstalling OS X.  Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files.  After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install the Combo Updater for the version you prefer from support.apple.com/downloads/.

  • Error from External Tax system in CRM Quotation

    Hi,
We have a Quotation in CRM, as soon as we click on 'Edit' button in WebUI, We get error "External Tax System: An error occurred while calculating tax. This may be an incorrect use of the calculation engine. Please contact your software vendor. Error trying to calculate tax on transaction."
Ship-to Party is from Bermuda and the Sales Org in Quotation is having country USA. We checked with the team working on VERTEX server (Tax system for USA) as per them the error log getting generated in VERTEX is because country key for Ship-to is not getting passed to VERTEX and the error is sent back to CRM.
While investigating we found that the error is coming into CRM (lt_messages) via
    FM call CALL FUNCTION 'SPC_GET_PROTOCOL' DESTINATION gv_vmc which is a call to IPC (path: Function Module: PRC_PD_ITEM_SHOW > PRC_INT_ITEM_SHOW > PERFORM get_pricing_document_info > perform get_protocol > CALL FUNCTION 'SPC_GET_PROTOCOL' DESTINATION gv_vmc)
We are unable to trace how the error is coming from this FM. Can anyone help us to find out.
    Regards,
    Sameer

    Hi Christophe,
    Thank you for your reply.
We have Quotations in which Tax is working properly. RFC settings are maintained properly.
In fact we have a case where Sales Org in Quotation is having country US and Ship-to Party having country Thailand which hasn't given any error and ERP Order is also created from it and now we have another Quote with similar scenario which is also not having the tax error, but to proceed with Order creation when we click on Edit, we get that Tax error I mentioned above.
I'm not sure if any changes at IPC is causing this bacause when I tried to Edit both the Quotes, the same FM SPC_GET_PROTOCOL receives error in one case but not in other. Behavior of CRM_COND_COM_BADI impl. is also similar in both the cases.

  • Itunes won't play anymore through external sound system

My mac functions as a Protools recording studio. The hardware (a Digi002 system) attaches to my G5 by firewire. Until recently, itunes worked just fine playing through this external system. I'd simply go to system preferences, change the sound inputs and outputs to Digi002.
These days I can still get all of my pro music software to play through this external Digi002 system. But something has gone amiss with itunes. It doesn't matter if itunes is already open, or not yet open. If I go to sound preferences and switch it to DIGI002, itunes ONLY plays through my internal compouter speaker. And if i go back to the sound preferences, i find that the external audio choice had been unchecked, as if by some function within itunes itself.
i have asked this same question on the Protools forum. Respondees give mixed answers, but basically say, yes it used to work, and no, it no longer works. Some say it WILL work, but you have to fire up your sound system BEFORE you turn on your computer. That is a totally disfunctional "solution" for my situation. Who wants to keep a sound system on all day long, when I may not use it for several hours at a time?
So what's going on here? And what did I install that made itunes suddenly not function with my external system? I strongly suspect it may be some newer version of itunes itself. If so, is there some workaround utility that will let me re-connect itunes to the Digi system? any help is appreciated.

Hate to do this, but we've gotta start with the simple **** first, and work our way up. The volume control in iTunes isn't turned down, is it?
Aside from that, you should launch Quicktime Player, go to File - Open, and open one of your iTunes songs in that, and see if you can hear sound there.

  • How to merge key field from external source system with SAP R/3 master

    Hi,
In SAP BW 7.0 system, our scenario is Master Data for 0GL_ACCOUNT is coming from SAP R/3 alongwith the Transactional data records for standard FI cubes. Then, one more set of transaction data is coming from external source system, a flat file, into another custom DSO(ZDSO_FI), which also has this GL Account field.
This flat file's GL account, GL_file, has to be basically mapped/merged with the standard 0GL_ACCOUNT field so that at the time of loading the transactional data for custom DSO, ZDSO_FI (with transformation mapping GL_file > 0GL_ACCOUNT), system automatically refers to the 0GL_ACCOUNT master data to load these incoming transactional values, from the external flat file system. How can this be done?
To illustrate the scenario, say I have 5 records in 0GL_ACCOUNT, loaded from SAP R/3 into SAP BW-
    0GL_ACCOUNT      Short Description     Source System
    100                                   D1                          R/3
    200                                   D2                          R/3
    300                                   D3                          R/3
    400                                   D4                          R/3
    500                                   D5                          R/3
Now suppose if my flat file has following sample transactional data, to be uploaded in SAP BW  ZDSO_FI-
    GL_file      Key Figure1
    400          789
    200          567
Then after uploading this transactional data in ZDSO_FI (with transformation mapping GL_file > 0GL_ACCOUNT), the 0GL_ACCOUNT data becomes as below-
    0GL_ACCOUNT      Short Description     Source System
    400
    200
    100                                   D1                          R/3
    200                                   D2                          R/3
    300                                   D3                          R/3
    400                                   D4                          R/3
    500                                   D5                          R/3
So note that the system did not refer the incoming GL's from flat file, although the field is mapped to 0GL_ACCOUNT in transformation, to the already available master data. Rather created 2 new data rows for the GL accounts coming from external system. Because of this I am not able to perform the calculations common from standard FI cube and ZDSO_FI, with GL account as key field. I need to synchronise these data values based on GL Account to proceed with further calculation and am badly stuck.
Request if anyone can please throw some light on how to achieve this seemingly simple requirement?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Can TC power an external HDD?

I'm buying a new external hard drive, and would like to buy one that's powered via the USB connection, not one with its own AC power adapter.
    a) Is the Time Capsule able to power an external HDD through the USB port?
    b) If yes, are there any limitations to how big a size or how fast (rpm) the disc can be before it's too much for the TC to handle?
    Thanks.

Yes. Apple's technical specs for the Time Capsule don't mention current capacity of the USB port, but I have an external drive connected to my Time Capsule. On a PowerBook G4 that same drive required a "Y" USB cable to provide the drive enough power.

I wouldn't expect size or speed to be a problem.

Unable to back up external hard drive via Time Machine.  Says no room but has back ups from two previous Mac notebooks on it.  Tried deleting them and now can't do anything.  Any ideas?

As john noted, eventually that external is probably not going to be big enough, but it certainly is for now. The HD just needs enough capacity to cover the amount of data on your internal HD, not the internal HD's total capacity.
Format/partition the external as follows and you should be set to go:
    1. Connect the external HD to the MBP.
    2. Open Disk Utility on the MBP.
    3. Select the external HD in the left pane.
    4. Click on the Erase tab.
    5. Choose the Format: Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
NOTE: if you want to zero the HD (which I always think is a good idea, but does take time), click on Security Options, click the button for Zero Out Data, click OK. The larger the HD, the longer this will take, in some cases several hours.
    6. Click on Erase and wait for the entire process to finish.
    7. Click the Partition tab.
    8. Click on Volume Scheme: and choose the number of partitions (just one in this situation).
    9. Click on the Options button (located underneath the Volume Scheme pane) and select GUID.
    10. Click Apply.
    11. Quit Disk Utility.
Backup your internal to the external. What application are you using to backup with? I highly recommend both SuperDuper! and CarbonCopyCloner.

  • How to get data in ABAP program from multicube in external BW system

    Hi friends,
I want to get data from one multicube which resides in an external BW system, in my ABAP program internal table. Is there any SAP standard RFC / BAPI for this or is there any other way around or I have to design my own program to get the data ?
To make my requirement clearer, my ABAP program is in one BW box and the above mentioned multicube in another BW box. I want to get data from the multicube into my program.
Any help is appreciated with points.

Look at the following FM; you may find the FM RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ_RFC useful.
Call the FM in your program and read data and update.

  • Filestream Creation Unable to Open Physical File Operating System Error 259

    Hey Everybody,
I have run out of options supporting a customer that is having an error when creating a database with a file stream.  The error displayed is unable to open physical file operating system error 259 (No more data is available).  We're using a pretty
standard creation SQL script that we aren't having issues with other customers:
-- We are going to create our data paths for the filestreams.
    DECLARE @data_path nvarchar(256);
    SET @data_path = (SELECT SUBSTRING(physical_name, 1, CHARINDEX(N'master.mdf', LOWER(physical_name)) - 1)
                      FROM master.sys.master_files
                      WHERE database_id = 1 AND file_id = 1);
-- At this point, we should be able to create our database.
    EXECUTE ('CREATE DATABASE AllTables
    ON PRIMARY
        NAME = AllTables_data
        ,FILENAME = ''' + @data_path + 'AllTables_data.mdf''
        ,SIZE = 10MB
        ,FILEGROWTH = 15%
    FILEGROUP FileStreamAll CONTAINS FILESTREAM DEFAULT
        NAME = FSAllTables
        ,FILENAME = ''' + @data_path + 'AllTablesFS''
    LOG ON
        NAME = AllTables_log
        ,FILENAME = ''' + @data_path + 'AllTables_log.ldf''
        ,SIZE = 5MB
        ,FILEGROWTH = 5MB
    GO
We are using SQL Server 2014 Express.  File streams were enabled on the installation SQL Server.  The instance was created successfully and we are able to connect to the database through SSMS. The user is using an encrypted Sophos.
    We have tried the following:
    1. Increasing the permissions of the SQL Server server to have full access to the folders.
    2. Attempted a restore of a blank database and it failed.
There doesn't seem to be any knowledge base articles on this particular error and I am not sure what else I can do to resolve this.  Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hi Ryan,
1)SQL Server(any version) can't be installed on encrypted drives. Please see a similar scenario in the following link
    https://ask.sqlservercentral.com/questions/115761/filestream-and-encrypted-drives.html
2)I don't think there is any problem with permissions on the folder, if the user can create a database in the same folder. Am not too sure. Also see the article by
Jacob on configuring the FILESTREAM for SQL Server that describes how to configure FILESTREAM access level & creating a FILESTREAM enabled database
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks

  • Power Mac 5260/100 System CD

I found a eBay store selling what appears to be a Power Mac 5260/120 System CD containing Mac OS 7.5.3. Would this System CD also be compatible with a Power Mac 5260/100 by any chance? I'm asking because I happen to own a Power Mac 5260/100 I bought second hand off eBay.

I would think that there is a high probability it would work. If it's not too expensive, it's worth the chance of buying.

  • How do I get the sound to go to an external audio system?

I am having trouvle getting my sound to go to external audio system from Logic Pro?

You need to put in a bit more information about what you're trying to do, and what sort of equipment you're using.
Are you using some sort of audio interface?  If so, is the driver installed, and is it selected as the Output Device under Preferences/Audio/Devices?  Then check under Preferences/Audio/Output, that you've got the desired output selected for your audio interface.
If you're not using an interface, then you want to select "Built In Output" under Devices, and you should be able to run a cable from the headphone jack to your external audio system.
