Paper alignment set up

I am setting up a new officejet 4630 and have got to the printing alignment stage.  I've inserted paper, small amounts and larger amounts, but the printer won't pick up the paper and simply says 'load plain paper'.  It doesnt make any beep when I insert the paper.  I'm using HP everyday printer paper. Any ideas?

Hi @JKLP ,
I see that you are experiencing issues with the paper feed when trying to do the alignment on the new printer. You are getting a message to 'load plain paper'. I would like to help you resolve this issue.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Please take a look at this document to see if it will help.
An 'Out of Paper' Message Displays on the Control Panel and the Printer Does Not Pick Up Paper.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.
Have a great day!
Thank You.

    Hi,
I am unable to print the report using the custom paper size setting of  15 (width) x 12 (Height)  with printer friendly fonts so that we can print on Line or dot matrix printer.
This problem is not solved from last 3 months and we dont get help anywhere.

    Hi,
Yes i can understand that you need to first understand the root of the problem to give me the solution.
I am here to answer to your questions until you understand what is the problem.
Yes if i set the standard page size which are given in API doc , it sets up the page correctly.
Following page size as given in the API doc works fine.

It is rejecting the custom paper size and custom fonts (which in my case are printer friendly fonts).

  • How to change the default left alignment setting in Word 2010 professional (personal use)

Hi, I use Word 2010 Professional for my personal use at home, and somehow the default setting for the left alignment in a new Word document has been changed to a hanging indent at .25.  So every time I open a new Word  document, the left margin
has an indent setting.  I have to change it to 0.0 every time, which is annoying.
I've tried to go into the "Options" section, under "Custom Settings" to de-select an auto left margin indentation, but I can't seem to find an option to do that.  Can anyone please tell me how to change this setting in the master Word 2010 template,
so that every time I open a new doc, the left side is aligned at the 1" margin with no hanging indent?
    Thank you.

  • HP Photosmart Premium C310a Printer paper alignment and paper feed problem.

    Standard Info:
HP Photosmart Premium C310a Inkjet All-in-one Printer.
    Windows 7 Home Premium
No reported errors messages except for paper jams.
No changes were made to the system before the problems began.
    My Info:
I am very proficient with computers and electronics. I would first like to say that this printer has very vibrant inks and its ColorSmart/sRGB ICC profile is pure magic. The high DPI ratings have turned out to be accurate so far and the printer prints beautiful images.
    Problems:
The problem I am having is with the printers paper feed rollers.  They are not scrolling the paper through the printer accurately and consistantly.  There have also been two paper jams when using multipurpose everyday paper.  When printing high res artwork using HP Advanced Photo Paper I was using HP Photosmart Essentials to create an 8"x10" picture on the 8.5"x11" paper and the first 35-40 prints came out accurately but then, before any paper jams or other problems the 8x10 pictures began to not center correctly on the paper.  Then the top of the 8x10 picture started slanting to the right on the paper and extending too close to the right edge of the paper.  The entire 8x10 picture is no longer printing 8x10 (the left side of the picture is just over 8" tall and the right side of the picture is printing just under 8", same thing with the top and bottom edges of the image) and is not centering properly on the paper.  I  just had my second paper jam last night which I clicked the "cancel print" button on the front of the printer touch display to eject the paper.  Immediately after, everything began printing very close to the left edge of the paper and prints at an angle down the sheet no matter what it is that I print or what paper it is printed on.  I have tried using the auto alignment feature on the printer several times and it does not help.
    Questions:
Is this printer purchased on 09/25/2011 from hp.com (with no extended warranty) still under a regular warranty?
If I send it in for repairs will HP be able to fix these problems?
Is there any way that I can adjust the scrollers myself to fix the problem?
Is the new C510a more reliable than the C310a in this field?
I need a backup printer for my art business, I would like to purchase an HP C510a, but am concerned I will have the same problems with the new one.
If anyone can help, please respond.  I cannot go on with these problems any longer.
    Thank you for your time,
    Nanette

Thank you for your quick response Bob.  Your answer was helpful, but did not solve my problem.  I have cleaned the printer exactly as your response has suggested, but there has been no change, and I was not able to find any dirt, scum, dust, or anything at all wrong with the rollers.
Here are a few pictures of some 8"x10" pictures that I just printed on 8.5"x11" HP Advanced Photo Paper:
These 8"x10" images are supposed to be centered on the paper, but are FAR from centered or dimensionally accurate to 8"x10".
This last image shows really well how the top of the 8"x10" image slants downward from left to right as well as approaches too close to the right edge of the paper.
Is this a problem that I can fix on my own?
If I send the printer to HP for repairs will they be able to fix this problem or will they just clean the printer scrollers and send it back thinking it is fixed?
I really need help with this problem, because right now, the printer is not useable.
    Thank you for your help.

  • Wausau Bright White 65 lb paper - What setting for best quality on a D7560

Have just purchased a D7560. Have thousands of sheets of Wausau Bright White Paper that I print note cards on.
Want to know the best "paper setting" to use to get the brightest printing possible.
While it is printing ok now, the colors seem to me to be on the dull side.
I am allowing the printer to set the printer settings and the photos come from Photoshop CS4
Should I also change the printing profiles to improve the print quality?
    Thanks, Bc.

  • VS/VC++ Struct Member Alignment (set to 4)?

I would like to ask why Struct Member Alignement is set to 4 instead to Default (or 8 on x64)?
(in Visual Studio 2008 - Project properties ( -> Configuration  properties) -> C/C++ -> Code Generation -> Struct Member  Alignment)
There were runtime problems after linking with an external library (default alignment); so it might be better to change the skeleton template in SDK.
For example in After Effects CS5 SDK for windows in:
    after_effects_cs5_sdk_win\Adobe After Effects CS5 Win SDK\Examples\template\Skeleton\win\Skeleton.vcproj
    look for:
    StructMemberAlignment="3"
and set it to 0 (default) or at least to 4 (64bit alignment)
    StructMemberAlignment="0"
    or
    StructMemberAlignment="4"
    greets
    m

    Hi Mike,
I believe you're correct, thanks for pointing that out.  These projects had been brought forward from the CS4 versions, which were 32-bit, and used 4-byte alignment at the time.  Fortunately, the standard headers include PreConfig.h, which sets 8-byte alignment for the AE API structure definitions.  But it makes sense to no longer set 4-byte alignment in the vcprojs.
    Cheers,

  • Order shop paper - default setting - can be restricted to planning plant

    Hi,
We define Shop papers, through transaction code OIDF. Next we assign the shop papers for Order types through OIDG. Here, there is no restriction to Planning Plant.
Is there any possibility, to make setting to restrict for Planning plant to print shop papers.
    For example,
We have Planning plant 1000 and 2000.
We have Shop papers Z001, Z002 and Z003
We have order types, PM01, AND PM02.
Here we made setting in OIDG,
    Doc type   Paper    Selection
    PM01        Z001          X
    PM01        Z002          X
    PM01
    Z003
    PM02        Z001
    PM02        Z002
    PM02        Z003,         X
I think this is the possibility in SAP.
Here we need to restrict with Planning Plant,
Planning Plant    Doc type         Paper          Selection
    1000                    PM01              Z001            X
    1000                    PM01              Z002            X
    1000
       PM01
      Z003
    1000                    PM02              Z001
    1000                    PM02              Z002
    1000                    PM02               Z003           X
    2000                     PM01              Z001           X
    2000                     PM01              Z002
    2000                     PM02              Z001            X
    2000                     PM02              Z002            X
    2000                     PM02              Z003            X
Is this any possibility to restrict the default printing of shop papers with respect to Planning Plant with Order type.
    Please provide your suggestions.
    Raja

    Raja ,
Have you tried the the User Specific Print Control values (OID3).
Switch-on the PM-Specific fields which opens the Plant field. Then make settings as required making sure the User field is "*".

  • Paper profile setting issues

I'm pretty sure this has been discussed before, but my searches aren't yielding results..  I usually make my custom paper profiles on a PC, but need to do some on a Mac (OS 10.6). I can make the custom profiles with either an i1 Profiler or a Colormunki Photo.  I'm printing on a canon 9500 mark 2, and there seems to be no way to manually turn off the color management when printing the test charts.  The i1 does give me the option of saving the chart and printing it through Photoshop, but that doesn't seem to solve the issue.  I've looked through multiple settings and can't find the off setting.  I understand this is an issue, but I've heard there is a way to do it.  I just can't find it.  I apologize if this has become an annoying question, but can anyone point me in the right direction.
    Thanks,
    Doug

    Louis,
I understand the process (PC – now Mac).  My comment was meant to suggest that Apple – and possibly Canon – need to get their act(s) together.  Probably in an attempt to make things more user friendly, they’ve removed a needed tool.  Using a profile is easier on the Mac, but making one is easier on the PC.  On the PC you print the test patches straight from the profiling software ( or other software) and simply turn off color management.  There is no need to involve any other software. The need for an extra piece of software is the over complication.  If there were an “off” button when using the Mac, there would be no need to use this special tool.  In my field – photography – Mac’s are currently considered the standard.  It just seems they’ve dropped the ball on this critical aspect of the process by not having the “off” option.
    Sorry for the soap box.
    Thanks for the help.

  • HPC7250 printer paper alignment

When I make a copy either from self-feed or diretly from computer the copy comes out crooked----like it was not fed straight!  HELP!!!!

    Hello clmitch,
I have some questions I would like to ask you regarding your issue.
When you print does it come out skewed, or only when you make a copy?
If you scan an image/document to your computer is that skewed?
Trying to eliminate possibilities is part of troubleshooting. If making copies is the only time documents or images are skewed it may have to do with the scanner, but if it is now printing skewed regardless of the source (computer, copy, etc.) then there is a document you should try to follow. The HP document "Printed Text or Image is Skewed or Crooked" should be a good starting place.
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01116895&tmp_task=solveCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&la...
I have seen it fix skewing issues before, especially the "Clean the paper rollers" section. Over time dust and other particles get caught in various locations and if enough accumulates on the rollers, it may skew the feeding of paper.
Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" to those that help solve your problems.
When a solution is found please mark the post that solves your issue.
