Paper jam?? the paper slides to the side of the printer? why is it moving?

HP Deskjet 1000 printer. Paper jam the paper moves and actually crinkles up at then end of the paper??? The paper is aligned correctly? HELP this printer is less than six months old.

I'm assuming you get 'paper jam' error messages at the same time?

If you add a new slide with just a text box (therefore a very small amount of data), to an existing presentation then save, Keynote will only save the new content to the file, it wont save pre-existing content as its already included in the file.
The time taken to "save" will be very much shorter than a "save as" when all of the existing content is saved again.

Receiving a false paper jam error message for a 6310 all in one printer

I have an hp 6310 all in one printer. It is showing a false paper jam error message with no paper in the printer. I have tried all of the fixes that have been suggested on the website as well as on you tube to no avail. Nothing works, I have cleaned all of the parts that have been suggested to clean and reset the printer. I am still receiving the same paper jam message with no paper in the printer. Does anyone have any suggestions to try to fix this printer.

Do you here any clicks or other sounds when the 6310 first starts up?
I'm trying to fix false paper jam error on Sharp Fax/copier,F0-4450.
When researching the problem, found suggestion that a bad solenoid could cause that error.
After completely disassembling the copier found that wasn't the problem.
I here 2 clicks during start up that sounds like gear slipping a tooth, as if something is preventing a shaft from turning.
Back to the drawing board.
UPDATE!!! Took fuser out, turned gears with screwdriver til 81/2x11 paper went thru, lubricated ends of fuser roller with powdered graphite lube.
3 page fax came thru.

Photosmart c7180 paper jams & wrong paper size errors

About 5 weeks ago I bought an ASUS computer with Windows 7, 64 bit and installed the drivers for my printer from the hp website. The printer is hooked up to my wireless network. No problem. 3 weeks later I have constant paper jams, I did the standard clean out paper, clean dust off of rollers and while on, unplug plug from back of printer then from outlet and wait a bit then plug back in. I was able to print a test page then it started happening again, sometimes reporting a paper jam error, sometimes a wrong size paper error, and sometimes an out of paper error. I also noticed that the rollers seem to be trying to grab the paper really fast (faster than they normally did). I have had this printer for many years-not even sure how many-and have hardly had an issue with it ever. I love it.

While connecting to the default instance from out side of the server it's reaches to Named instance ?i

We have two named instance in "test" server. the names like test\a & test\b... The tcp\ip for test\a is dynamic and for test\b is default port 1433... Now customer requested to install the default instance...we had an issue with installation
that is the default port number is in use so, the default installation failed and then i changed the settings in registry to use the dynamic port for default instance and then i manually start the sql servers...seems all are good...but when i connecting this
default instance from out side of the box through SSMS it's pointing to the named instance which one having the default port number(test\b).
We can change the port number for test\b and assign that port to default instance...but the applications which are connecting to the test\b those are using the default port number...so, we don't want to disturb the connectivity...
is there any way to fix this issue with out changing the port number for test\b ?
it is urgent...we have to fix this issue ASAP..

Glad to hear the issue is resolved.
As your post, if SQL Server is configured to use dynamic port,
it is difficult for application connectivity because the port number selected changes every time that the Database Engine is started.
From your description, you have changed the dynamic port number to static port number. To avoid a common pitfall, please also ensure that
you have deleted the entry (0 or some random port) for dynamic port in SQL Server Configuration Manager. For more details, please review this

Playback shows the beginning slide when selection is in the middle

Does anyone know why or how to change the playback timeline to stop showing the beginning slide when you let go from viewing a video recording ? Example. video record something go down to the time line, select the red playhead bar in the middle. you should be able to see the recording fine. then let go of the player head and it stops where you let go but shows the first slide. How are you to edit this? Why does it do this? Please help..

Let me put my psychic skills to the test. (Closing eyes here and saying hmmmmmmm)
You recorded the project using Full Motion Recording. (To confirm this, look at your Film Strip. You should see a video camera icon superimposed in the lower right corner of the slide thumbnail.)
Sorry, but that's not the mode we normally recommend for capturing. Yes, I know it's an option, but so is filling the back seat of your sedan with bags of concrete. Just because it's possible doesn't mean that in reality you should.
This is simply one of the issues you will have to deal with when working with this recording type. The only workaround is to scrub the playhead and observe, then position other elements as you desire. Rinse and repeat until placement works like you want.
Other than that, you may wish to consider switching to slide by slide recording mode. That's the mode where Captivate shines. Full motion isn't Captivate's forte.

How to remove the open applications from right side of the dock?

How do I remove the open apps from the right of the line on the dock? They are by the Trash. I will attach an image. I don't want them to show up over there when I have an app open.

In previous versions of Mac OS X, any window containing an open application that was reduced in size was put in the Dock and looked like those in the image. So if you reduced any open page while in an application, that would be as you see, there. Or if you chose to 'hide' an open application it'd go there.
You should be able to click once on each of those and have the full page restored in the screen. If there is anything on those pages you want to save, do so and the file would be saved in your Documents or other folder of your choosing.

The Automatic "Slide in Out" Behaviour - can the slide be stopped midway somehow?

The behavior library has a behavior called "Slide In Out"
within the animations -> automatic section. There's a command to
activate the slide by a message, but as I am going through the
coding in it to review it, I don't see a command to stop the slide
if it's running. Is there a way to do so? Go to the Frame doesn't
do it since it's not related to the playhead moving.

My iPod touch 2nd generation(8 gb) is constantly showing the red slider bar and is turning the volume up.

I've had my iPod for two or three years now, and it has never shown any problems other than this. It acts as if I am holding down both the volume button and the power button, which I am not. It makes it impossible to listen to music without blowing out my eardrums and it won't let me navigate the app pages. So far, i have held the power buton and home screen for ten seconds, i have turned it off then back on, and i have let it sit for a day. I have never dropped it, stepped on it, or let it get wet, so I have no clue how to solve this.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Ever since Firefox updated, I cannot view slideshows on websites. If I click the "Next" button to see the next slide in an article, nothing happens. Why is this? How can it be fixed? I've cleaered cache, done everything.

When I try to view any article with a slideshow, the next button on the slideshow doesn't work. It doesn't matter which website, it doesn't happen in other browsers (ie Chrome), and it didn't happen prior to the recent Firefox update. I've cleared cache, checked all of the settings, and nothing's fixing this. How do I fix it?

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Does one of the Lync SQL databases store the active directory username or SID of the person who made a call ?

I am trying to write a report that uses data from Lync (2010), Active directory (AD) and other databases.
I need to match data from Lync with records in active directory.
When you make/recieve a call, the session details has a userid column - a foreign key to the users table, which has the UserURI - the users emails adddress or telephone number.
However, trying to mach the data, I have noticed that someones email address can change so that what is in active directory does not match that used as the SIPaddress in Lync.
I need a field that matches in Active directory and Lync to be able to link a users call records with their active directroy records.
I was wondering how Lync decides which Lync user you are when it auto logins you in.
Does it do it on the basis of your phone number, AD username or something else ?
If so , where in Lync does it store the mapping from whatever it uses to your Lync userid ?

The msrtcsip-primaryuseraddress attribute in AD is where the users SIP address is stored.
This can change still, but generally that should not be very often except maybe a name change or domain name change.
Almost everything in Lync is based on the SIP address. In CDR's case, it is just recording SIP messages as they pass through the front end; it has no visibility into the actual AD account that sent it.
If you will need to match user SIP addresses back to live AD accounts, even after a SIP address change, then I would recommend setting up a custom AD attribute to store their SIP account history and have a policy to update that attribute each time someone's
SIP address gets changed.
