My HP Photosmart C7280 has suddently started to spew out a blank sheet in between every printed page - does anyone know what might have caused this or better still, how to stop it?

  • HP Laser Photo Paper Problems

I have a problem with my HP Color Laser Jet 1600 printer when I try to print on HP Laser Photo Paper. The toner does not stick to the front of the paper every where on the sheet and is transferred to the back of the sheet. This problem occurs with a package of paper that I have owned for a while and with a new package that I bought and opened yesterday. I live in Florida but my house is air conditioned to 78 degrees and has a low humidity. I can clean the rollers by printing on a few sheets of plain paper. The printer prints fine on plain paper. What do I need to to to use the photo paper?

In the printer settings on you computer, have you selected the right grade of paper? Ensure you select Photo Paper of the right type (matt or gloss) and correct weight/thickness.
EDIT: just noticed that the original post is over 4 years old! However, for anyone stumbling across this with a similar problem, it may be useful (I experienced exactly what the original post describes when I forgot to set the paper type to Photo).
Note: I do not work for HP, I just like playing with calculators :-)

  • Out of Paper Problem

    Hi,
I am a college student and I just got the hp envy 4500 e-all-in-on series. I have the 32- bit on my laptop.   I was able to use my printer to scan something one time, and now everytime I try to print something from my laptop it says Out of Paper when there is a whole stack in there!  I really need my printer and it is very inconvenient that it keeps doing this.  I have tried reinstalling the software several times and it hasn't worked.  I can't find any videos for my specific problem so I would really appreciate your help!!!
    Thanks,
    Shelby Smith

  • Help: "NO Paper" Problem

I have a T410 with windows 7. I was working this morning and my printer was working fine. Suddenly it displayed a  "NO PAPER" message, but there was paper in the tray. I put more in, restarted the printer, restarted the computer, all to no avail. I then tried to print the document to another printer. Again that printer said "NO PAPER" no matter what I did with that printer, the message kept occurring. I tried printing a different type of document, no printing. So I emailed the file I needed printing to a co-worker to print on her printer. And she tried to print it on her printer an got a "NO PAPER" message, despite the fact that she had been using her printer. CAn anyone help? Or tell me who to go to for help? I do have an updated MacAfee and it finds no problems.
PS Right before this occurred my cat walked across my laptop pressing who knows what.
    Thanks Desperate Sue

  • Premium Plus paper problem

I use a HP D7160 printer, HP inks and HP paper. I have done thousands of B&W prints using Premium Plus 280gm paper (usually Type Q1786A) and got very good results . This is not made now and I bought some CR674a paper which gives a very poor result. There is a red overall tint which I can't adjust out and it is muddy overall. What paper can I use that will give as good a result as the old rough backed stuff like Q1786A?
I tried HP's customer service by e-mail and they gave me an irrelevant reply, then spent 40 minutes on the phone to them trying to speak to a paper expert but just got passed from pillar to post. Are there any B&W experts ou there?

    Hi beantowner2,
I would like to begin with a few questions,
Does this happen when you copy a photo, or only when you print form the computer?
Do you have the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or a surge protector?
What operating system and version is on the computer?
Is the printer connected to the computer with a USB cable or wirelessly?
If you have a WIndows operating system please download and install the latest firmware version for the printer. HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g_n Firmware.
If you are using a surge protector, I suggest disconnecting and connecting the power directly to a wall outlet.
Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector
In this document you will see,
    ISSUE:
Problems or issues may arise when an HP LaserJet series printer is connected to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), a power strip, or a surge protector
This is not limited to Laserjet printers.
I look forward to hearing back from you.

  • C4380 printer: Feeding paper problem

Using the HP Photosmart C4380 printer, I load the paper properly, no problems, then as the paper feeds into the printer, the paper veers to the right and jams. HELP!

This video shows how to resolve a carriage jam for the HP Photosmart C4280.  The steps in that video will address paper jams as well.  If you get the 'service the printer' statement without resolving the problem, you are probably at a point where the printer needs to be replaced.  It's probably worth your time to contact HP to see what your service options are.

  • Hp Laserjet 5100 paper problems

I am working with a 5100 laserjet that I cannot get to print from the 2nd tray (11x17) unless the 1st tray (8-1/2X11) is empty. I am more of a PC hardware/repair guy so this has me stumped. I have checked the paper handling PCA, made sure that both sensors on the controller board beneath are clear so I am now at a loss...any ideas???
    thanks in advance,
    Mike

The printer's physical connection to the Mac can be double-checked by confirming the LJ1200 shows up in Applications/ Utilities/ System Profiler, and cycling power to the printer will take less than a minute.
Next step would be to use Printer Setup Utility to delete the LJ1200 printer entirely. (From habit, I then restart the Mac to make certain the change registers on the deepest OS levels; although that's almost certainly not really required anymore, it doesn't take long.) Then use Printer Setup Utility to re-install the printer. The HP LJ1200 shows up as one of the built-in printer drivers in Tiger's printer list; it should show up automatically when you select the printer in Printer Setup Utility, or use the Print Using... button to select HP, then scroll down to LaserJet 1200.
Let us know if that restores your printing!

  • PAPI problem

    Hi,
We developed one simple process in Aqualogic Studio 5.7 and the same is deployed using Aqualogic BPM process Administrator. The application server used is Weblogic server 9.2.
Our requirement is to instantiate/start the process from external Java application.
We are able to see the application in work portal screen from application server url http://localhost:7001/portal which means application is deployed fine.
When we tried with PAPI code it is saying java.naming.initial context needs to be set.
Do we need to do any extra configuration in BPM Admin server console. If you find any documentation for the same please.

If your papi client is a standalone java program, then you need to
specify additional information about the weblogic server/cluster where
the ALBPM Engine is running. Check
    forums.bea.com/bea/thread.jspa?messageID=600047163
for more details or search edocs.bea.com for this information.
    Hope this help

  • Flash Paper Problem

What is Adobe thinking -- have they lost all tract of
    educational needs?????
I bought Macromedia Studio just for Flash Paper and now it
doesn't yet work with MS Vista. It HAS TO Work. I have no intention
of ever using the Contribute as I don't need it -- but I (I should
say all math/science online teachers using equations) need Flash
    Paper.
Our online mathematics courses REQUIRE Flash Paper for
equation pages to open properly in Blackboard Vista!!!!!!!!!!
I am not downgrading a new computer to XP and not have the
right drivers because of such a anti-educational decision.
Can anyone help? Is the management listening?

    hi mary,
i think the reason why its not supported in vista is that
when flash paper 2 was released vista is not yet in the market so
they had no way to check its compatibility with anyways maybe we
can suggest this as a feature request on their wishform.
I pasted the link below for flash paper feature request.
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform&product=18
I have already written a request = ) lets just hope they do
upgrade flash paper so it will work on vista.

  • B9180 glossy paper problem

hi  i have a hp b9180 printer and im trying to print on fuji inket glossy paper 270 grams......but alas it will not print glossy  it appears to come out rather a mild glossy  not like the real glossy of the actual paper...its fine on my epson printer...there is no drop down menu for fuji or  inkjet glossy paper under paper types....ive tried adding paper under new paper types to no effect...any ideas on how to get a real glossy photo from a glossy piece of paper   ?

The offshore HP technicians tell me that the Pro B9180 is not capable of printing on HI Gloss paper.  Even HP's own Neil Snape admits that there will be some light absorption differential with different colors.  My advice is save the $800 and have your glossies printed at a professional studio.

  • Printing problem on HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-One

    Hi,
I'm trying to print a single page calendar but it's coming out with streaks in 3 places.  I tried 3x and the streaks are always in the same place.  I'm using Konica Inkjet Paper QP Premium Photo Glossy, which is supposed to be suitable for all modern inkjet printers.  Is this an ink problem, a printer problem or a paper problem?

My guess would be a print settings issue.  I would suggest setting the media type to Photo paper rather than automatic and set the quality to "Best".
If that does not help please provide more details - are the streaks at a consistent spacing?  Where are they on the page?  What color are the streaks?

  • PRO9000 - paper sizes

Am having a heck of a time getting Easy Photoprint Pro to use 11x14 paper.  Yes, there is a custom option but that results in my prints being off center and not have an even margin around the picture.  11x14 is a common sized paper in the US and thought that it would be included as one of the many option. Once I get around this paper problem I might even like the PRO9000.

The Envy 5532 specifications (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03742581&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en... ) indicate that a range of different paper sizes is supported:
    U.S. Letter 216 x 279 mm (8.5 x 11 in)
    Executive 184 x 267 mm (7.24 x 10.51 in)
    Cabinet 127 x 177.8 mm (5 x 7 in)

  • Flash Paper Appears Outside of Table

I am sure this has smething to do with object tags and the IE
upgrade, but I can't figure it out! I have a Flash Paper content
that is to appear in the center of the page. It does fine in

  • OfficeJet 6500a cannot print on green paper

We purchased an HP OfficeJet 6500a Plus this morning. Installation went smoothly and the printer has been working well.
However, a couple of hours ago we ran into a problem printing on green paper. The printer picks up the paper, but says it is the wrong size or type (mismatch size or type error message).
We print our work orders, invoices, etc. on different colors of paper and distribute them around the office. So far, we have successfully printed white, yellow, pink, and a lime green. We cannot get the printer to accept a pastel green paper, but we really need to be able to print on it.
I've looked at several pieces of paper, but I cannot find a problem with it. The paper is the right size (letter) and identical in every way I can tell except for the color. Every other printer in the office is an HP printer and we've never had an issue like this before.
I have tried looking at settings and changing the paper type, but I haven't had any luck (paper type is set to plain paper).
The printer is connected directly to a WIndows XP (SP3) PC via USB cable.
    Thank you for your help.
Edit 10-02-2011: Changed question title slightly and adjusted green-color description.

After a lot of searching, I found someone else with the same problem:
    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-printing-questions/Green-Paper-Problem-on-HP-Officejet-6500A/td-p...
He never received a real solution; he says he "got around the problem by sellotaping a torch to the paper tray." I honestly have no idea what that means, but adding something to rig it is not an acceptable solution. This is a printer that is used by one salesperson who is not computer-saavy.
I have tried printing as various media types (transparent, glossy, matte, iron-on, other specialty paper...and others) with no luck.
The media sensor has so far been more frustrating than useful.
