Papi WS not working

Hi,
I'm using OBPM 10.3.2 on WLS 10.3.3. When I try to deploy the PAPI WS ear I get an error like: weblogic.wsee.ws.init.WsDeploymentException: The WebLogic Server 9.x-style policy is not supported in JAX-WS web services.
So according to this thread PAPIWS not starting I disabled usertoken authorization and now it gets deployed.
But I can not call a webservice since I always get a AuthenticationException (Participant could not be authenticated) independent whether I pass a username/password or not. For the ProcessWebServices I have to create a session, if I disable usertoken. Do I have to do something similar here?

Hi Matthias,
If you don't have to use Username Token Profile, you can use HTTP Basic Authentication instead.
If you are forced to use Username Token Profile, I'm glad to tell you that the bug has been fixed in 10.3.2. The bad news is that the fix is not just applying the HF. You have add some properties and configure you WLS Domain accordingly.
As the configuration is not that simple, I suggest contacting Oracle Support.

Paper feed not working

Hello, Below are the sequence of events that happened and the problem I am facing: 1. I was able to use my HP 3510 printer print a page even 30 minutes ago. 2. After that, I tried scanning a page. The scanner got stuck many times. I opened the top lid of the printer and saw the scanner bar (I don't know how else to describe it) stuck in the middle. I restarted the printer and my computer and finally, after 6-7 retries, I was able to scan a page. Scanner has been working perfectly ever since. 3. After the scan was completed, I tried printing another page. The page feeder did not work. It showed me a "Out of paper. Load paper into the tray" message. I tried printing again by putting the page in more securely in the page feeder section but it showed the error again. I tried noticing what was happening and here is what I found out: a. The page was getting pulled into the printer. b. After the initial pull, the page stops once and the printer tries to pull in the paper again. But this time the paper gets pushed back out. When I look at the page, the top middle part (the end which was going into the printer first), is all crooked. ONLY the top middle part is crooked and the rest of the paper edge is the same. Every time I try to print a page, the same thing happens. The page is pulled in and then the print pushes it back the way the page came in and shows the "Out of paper" error. What can I do to fix this issue? Thanks.

Printing 4x6 photos on HP Laserjet 4630. photo paper tray not working?

I am trying to print 4x6 photos on glossy paper. My printer has a photo paper tray in addition to a standard letter tray. When I specify 4x6 borderless glossy paper in the print parameters, the printer keeps pulling from the standard paper tray instead of the photo tray on top of the printer. This has worked for me in the past, but I haven't used it in a long time. What must I be doing wrong?

Hey. I'm a photographer with the C4280.
This printer takes care of 8.5 x 11's pretty much perfectly. But 4 x 6 not for me on iPhoto or Photoshop.
So what I did was I set up a pages document with a blank template, set at 4 x 6 inches.
I dragged rulers about .25inches in and threw in the photo set at 4 x 6 ratio. So... most photos are 4 x 6, just resize it to fit in the rulers.
I've noticed in most occasions it cuts off the top of the photo document when laid out in portrait.
What I do is a hit command p, select the printer but choose under the drop box that says "layout" i hit borderless printing, and a selectable box will show up saying "print borderless" and i just clicked it.
on the document though you might want to make the opacity 10% to save ink. you have to trouble shoot the exact place to set and drag up or down the photo. but once you get it, its reliable the duration the document is open and the printer is on.
i know its kind of pointless for one, but i had a shoot with live printing on the spot with this printer and its great. you can add texts boxes and put those perfectly where you want (once you set the picture so its set) and throw in another picture and really customize the 4 x 6.
i printed a postcard with the writing already in it. just had to mail it no writing involved.
you also need iwork 08 or 09. i have 08 but im sure 09 works. so if you save the pages doc as a template you can just drag in the image file into where the old image is and print that way.
command p, choose borderless printing in the drop box and click print borderless. it should work.

i promise though, with canon or epson 4 x 6 print paper, its pretty amazing. almost comparable to my prints from my printer.
or you can fit 12 3.5 x 2inch (business card sized) pics on an 8.5 x 11.

Preview 'scale to fit paper size' not working for PDFs

If I have a pdf document that is larger than A4, Preview's 'scale to fit paper size' does not seem to do anything. Even the actual preview of the pages in the print dialog doesn't change when toggling the 'scale to fit' option.
Strangely, my pdf e-invoice from the Apple Store for my new MacBook Pro was larger than standard A4 size, and I couldn't get Preview to scale it.
This isn't a printer issue, as I have the same problem on 2 completely different printers. Also, Adobe Reader has no problem scaling the pdf. I even generated a pdf from Inkscape that was larger than A4, and Preview couldn't scale it to fit on A4, but Adobe Reader could.
Can anyone else replicate this problem?

I have found the answer to my problem. For some reason, the print dialog box I see through 'File>Print' is different to the print dialog when I click the Print icon on the toolbar (which I added to Preview's toolbar and was using whenever I wanted to print).
The dialog you get when clicking the Print icon is missing the 'Preview' option in the drop-down menu, which is where the 'Scale each page to fit paper' is.
It seems crazy to me that using Print icon on the toolbar has this option missing. But at least it's working now!

Paypal White Paper setup not working

I have followed all the steps in the paypal white paper setup for APEX. However, I'm getting this error message that I simply cannot figure out:
ORA-29273: HTTP request failed ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_HTTP", line 1029 ORA-29024: Certificate validation failure
This doesn't make much sense to me since our certificate works fine. The application is here:

I know for sure that wallet_path and wallet_pwd are correct. I took all the API data straight from paypal.
Another user experienced similar problems with google checkout. He added the google and google sandbox certificates to his wallet, and it was all fine and dandy. I've added paypal and paypal sandbox certificates to my wallet, and I'm still at the same place.
Please help!

I am NOT positive that happened, but it seems to me there was a thread a while back and it's sticking in my head that somehow something changed on the paypal end...

PAPI example not working

Hi Guys, i have deployed a process on the Wblogic server. My process runs fine. I am trying to run the PAPI example given at the bea website. It also runs fine. but i do not get the desired result.
My directory.xml points to the right database and all the information given out there seems to be correct.

Thanks for your response. I really could not get chance to try it out again. But now if i use process Participants user name and pasword, i get an exception about NoInitialContext fund. Did you do something extra to run this simple example?

OCR Paper Capture not working.

I am trying to use the local OCR scan and I am having issues getting it work. This is on Acrobat 9 Standard.

What I have done
I have followed the KB article, http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402063.html - No success
I have repaired, then completely removed and reinstalled the program.
I have tried to rebuild/relink the dll using regsvr32 but no luck
The PaperCapture plugin is running but when I tried to use it, it fails with message above.
I do have a Fujutsu SnapScanner and I understand that can complicate things, but it was installed previously and worked fine.
Anyone have an idea what I can do to get this function working again?

And the Scansnap may be unsupported with Acrobat, but I support an office of 60 people who all have a ScanSnap and run OCR scans with no problem.
The problem also occurs when I scan from our Keyocera Mita.

The pdf security is not working in Flash Paper

Is anyone facing a similar problem.
The pdf security if applied with a passsword to select the
text & graphics, printing, etc does not work. It selects any
and every text in flash paper and pdf. Does anyone know how can one
prevent to copy any text or graphics ...

I have the same issue. My phone says the files are corrupt and they stay corrupt if I forward then from my phone. It like the phone checks for something in the PDF, when it never did before.

My F4280 printer is not working. It will not pick up the paper. I cleaned all the rollers

I have checked for a paper jam or piece. All is clear. I cleaned the rollers front and back as instructed, still not working. Now a skinny plastic piece fell out (like the inside of a pen) and I have no idea where that came from. Can anyone help with this situation?

CS3 to CS4 P S upgrade printer/paper icc files not working - Help!

Have upgraded PS to CS4 AND upgraded Mac from PPC to Intel (10.5.6) on new MacPro. and using Epson 2400 printer. I rescued 3 important icc profiles and managed to load them onto new machine. When I go to print image the paper icc profile is visible and in the printer Menu my 3 presets are also visible. I allow PS to manage colors and disable color management. However the printed image is rubbish and it seems that the icc profile & preset have been ignored. I was able to print 1 image on my old PPC for it finally gave up on me - it was perfect.
I have got to produce approx 50 images by April 6th for my degree course - desperation is setting in!
Any advice out there as to where I should be looking for problem area.

The bottom line is that your printer driver needs to be properly updated for Leopard. And properly installed. Try reinstalling it.
Set it as the default printer. Check CUPS interface to make sure. http://127.0.0.1:631/printers
Must be registered in the ColorSync Utility. If not it is not properly installed.
If all this fails you can use the ColorSync Utility workaround. But it needs to be registered in the CU. None Leopard compliant driver should register in the CU when installed.
I have a Canon iPF9000 with a combination driver install that works properly in Leopard and a Epson 9600 that does not work properly in Leopard (I doubt there will ever be Leopard compatible drivers) but will print fine using the ColorSync Utility workaround.

PAPER FEEDER FOR DOCUMENTS TO BE COPIED IS NOT WORKING

MY FEEDER IS NOT ONLY NOT WORKING, BUT, WHEN I PUT DOCEMENTS IN TO BE PRINTED, THE COPIER "does not even try" to pull them through the copier feed at the top, just tries to copy from the scanner glass. Any suggestions?

Sounds like your paper sensor is not working. To really help you out I will need to know what printer model you have otherwise I will have no frame of reference to use.
As a preliminary step, please unplug the printer BOTH from the back of the unit and the wall outlet that printer is connected to for thirty seconds. Then plug it back in, and make sure that you are plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector, power strip or battery backup.

this policy is working fine on windows 7but on XP this policy is not working. I 've also try to set desktop wall paper from LOCAL GROUP POLICY of this client machine. but this is also not working.
I am showing this wallper on my desktop.
So kindly help me out that how apply desktop wallpaper policy on this XP system...

Earlier version of the OS only support .bmp(bitmap) format to configure wallpaper where as enabling Active Desktop allows you to use range of formats including animation as well as web pages. Since, you are using JPEG, enable configure the option Enable

Word documents (New and Existing) paper area does not work correctly

Hello all. I have a rather hard to explain situation with one of our workstations. It is an HP 8760w and it has had Office 2010 installed on it for quite some time. Currently, when opening a new document or any existing document, the program will look normal
but will not show a cursor on the page. Scrolling wll result in the page looking obscure as if a graphics inside the document stops working. Scrolling will cause lines of text to melt into each other and will duplicate lines of text. The ribbon functions fine
and hitting File brings up the entire menu like it should. Switching back to the document will show what was over that section in the file menu. How do I fix this? Installing and uninstalling office did not work along with changing the Normal.dot and deleting
the Data registry file.
All help is appreciated greatly.

This sounds more like a Graphic Driver or Graphics Card problem. You might try switching out the Graphic Card if that is possible on the system.
Another outside possibility might be a corrupt user profile, so you could create a different profile on the machine and try it. However, my guess would be the Graphics Card is failing.
Are you also certain there are no other Office add-ins loaded that might be causing this. Start Word in Safe Mode and see if this clears the problem. If it does, then systematically disable add-ins one at a time until the culprit is found.

Flash Paper not working correctly

After doing a newsletter in MS Word I converter to
FlashPaper.
The problem is none of the photos nor graphics show up in the
FlashPaper.
Have tried this over 3 or 4 times now with no luck. Even
removed and reinstalled FlashPaper. No luck.
I purchased this program after watching some of the demos via
the Adobe Website but it sure does not work the way the videos
show.
Very disappointed with this program.

In case anyone else comes across this, the issue is that Flash forms via ColdFusion 8 and 9 simply do NOT work in WebKit-based browsers (Safari and Chrome). This code works fine in Firefox and IE. I did some searching and apparently this is a known issue that others have experienced as well.
