Parallel Change Request Process in Material

I am trying to prepare the parallel processing scenario in MDG 7.0 for Material configured MAT01, MAT02, MAT06,MAT0A,MAT0B scenarios as it
is successfully.
Material Change Request Scenario MAT02 is working as expected.
I just copied MAT02 change request and created parallel change request types PCMAT01, PCMAT02 and PCMAT03.
Screen shots of PCMAT01
PCMAT02 Screenshots
PCMAT03 Screenshot
While Executing Change Material, I am getting the following popup to select change request. But, When I choose the above 3 change requests,
Workflow is getting User Agent Error. Do we need to have any special BRF+ catalogs for these change requests as well? Or we use same MAT02 BRF+ decision table?
For Parallel change request scenario, apart from creating Parallel CR type, We need to take care of any BRF+ catalogs (new decision table
set) ,interlocking logic or any other special requirements?

Any way, this document explains how you can build parallel MDG workflow: Set up Parallel Workflow Tasks with BRF+ (BADI USMD_SSW_PARA_RESULT_HANDLER). You should always start your research for any MDG extension or enhancement here: Configuration and Enhancement of SAP Master Data Governance

please anyone help me on this regard.
    Thankyou,

I see that this question has been answered but you did not post your solution.  Is this what you did?
       1.  Log into SAP R3 client.
       2. Change into the IMG.
       3. Once there, go to :
    Integration with Other SAP Components
    Business Packages / Funcational Packages
    Manager Self-Service
    Personnel Change Requests
    Group change Request Scenarios
Once Group Change Request Scenarios has opened select one of the PCR types to hide, SPEG (Change Employee Group and Subgroup) for example. Once into the Change View "Maintenance View for... change the Start date to be 01/01/9999. Do this for all PCR EE Groups. Enter and save all changes.

  • Change Request- Material Master

    Hi,
We are currently extending the materials to pur new plants.
Now here we are extending the material from the plant that belongs to the same valuation grouping code.
Now i want to know whether extending the material is a CR .i.e Change Request.
Also what about the creating entire new material for plant , does the system create any request during the creation?
Also can we create these materials directly in the Production client?
Also what is Change Request ?
    Kindly Explain its very Urgent?
    Bregards,
    Komal

Change request is for changing already configured process. You need to do this in Development not in Production. Test it properly with sample data in dev. & you only need to transport it to production, your responcibility is to get user acceptance thats it.

  • Determine the business process used for a change request

    Good Day All;
I was wondering if any knows how to I would be able to back track from a change request to the Business Process it was created under.
    Let me explain our process.
    An Issue is created (Solar01).
From the issue, a change request is then created.
Is there anyway I would be able to determine the Business Process if I only had the change request number
    Thanks All

  • Best Practice to process change request

    Hi All,
There's a confusion of provided functionality by SAP for Change Request Management. Though, through different blogs/articles/book, we have implemented change request management, but initiation process of change request seems missing.
What I know is project can be tracked through maintenance cycle, if support message is posted through SAP production server through SAP->Help->Create Support Message. What I'm looking for is user should be able to select few parameters of particular forms from forms' repository, available online. Once its filled, it goes to his manager according to Organogram, then a support message gets created automatically, and rest of the process remains same as provided at current by SAP.
What you guys know of it?
    Thanks
    Nayab

Thanks Sammi for your confirmatory post.
So if we need to use required fields for particular configuration from user, say the requirement to develop new company code, of which all required information is maintained in form, the user should submit the filled form, authorized by his manager, to IT department, we then ask the particular user to raise support message and keep a track of such maintenance activity.
Is it possible to modify Create Support Message screen, that is, another parameter to upload file, as we can do in solution manager service desk mesage -> documents. This might help as well, but I guess SAP must be providing a tool, may be some different product for aforementioned requirement.

  • Tracing a Change Request back to a Business Process

    Good Day All;
The following is the process we use to create Issues and Change Requests.
    Team Leader in SOLAR01
Creates the Issue against a Business Process
    Creates Change Request
Assigns a Team member to the Change request.
    Team member in CRMD_ORDER
Adds all documentation and informs Team leader the change request is complete.
Change request is sent to Release Management for approval.
I can not seem to find a way to relate the change request to the Business Process.
Why is this needed? If SOLAR02 to the u201CConfigu201D, how do they know what Business Process to use?
    Thanks All

    Hi,
Please check the TCODE SOLAR_EVAL. You can give project details under project header.
    This should help you.

  • Changing of iBase in Change Requests and Corrections being processed

    Good day!
After going SP18 with Solution Manager our iBase component system has gone "mad": number for productive ERP-system has changed several times.
Because of this change, a number of already approved change requests and corrections in processing can't be modified correctly. I can't change their status by regular operations from system document. Multiple correction/ change request change also won't work. And I can't change the iBase component in this documents, because the field is read only.
How can I close all Change Requests and corrections with old iBase component number?
Is there a way to change the iBase number in already approved Change Requests and Corrections, so i can perform operations with this system documents.

    Hello Raguraman!
    Thank you for your answer.
Anyway I implemented the note to which you refer, and still can't change iBase component in corrections and change requests which are in process. The "iBase/Component" field is still read only and contains components which do not exist anymore.
Do you know how can I change this values?

  • Need to change the local change request to development class for Process Ch

    Hello ,
I have created a Tranport request for Process chain but its saved as local change request .
Please suggest how to change that .
    Thanks ,
    Rahul

    Hi
1.First delete the request which you collected the process chain as local object becuase you will not able to collect the process chian again.
    2. Goto Tranport connector to collect the process chain again.
    3. Select grouping option as necessary objects.
    4. Drag and drop the process chain to the right hand side
    5. After collecting the process chain, click on the package icon and give the package created for development class.
    6. The system will ask for Transport request and save the PC in the Transport Request.
    Hope it helps.

  • TS50000075(Process Change Request (Web)

    Hi All,
We have customized a standard PCR workflow WS50000031(2 level approval) based on our requirements, which is using another sub -workflow for approval step..
The sub-workflow has a step for task TS50000075(Process Change Request (Web)).
The problem is, the above workflow step creates an workitem which appears in SAP Inbox as well in UWL..
When the item is processed from UWL it does not have any effect, but the item retains in the UWL with status 'In Process' as well in SAP inbox with status 'Reserved' and the workflow execution does not happen further.
But, when it is done from Inbox, the item disappears and workflow execution continues..
Please let me know how could I resolve this issue..
    Thanks & regards,

Can any one please assist us by guiding us on the following things?
    1. From BASIS point of view we have assigned roles to each user as employee e.g. developer charm (SAP_SOAM*) role to developer user\employee in solution manager, still when we are creating tickets then we cant see the options like “in development”, “in process” etc
    2. We are going forward with the default settings can any one tell us if we need to do something extra to get all those options activated like “in process”, “in development” etc
I am in mid of these configuration settings; please assist me asap if possible.

    Hello
    Thanks for your reply,
I have used BP to create and process change request. Only confused with the standard process and where to look for the change documents, thats the reason i couldnt see the requests and change their status.
I just want to know if you have customized any thing in to the standard configuration, say for e.g. if you want to add your own actions like in maintenance cycle after requests been released in development if you want to import automatically in QA which happens in case of Urgent corrections. What I need to do if I have to do such settings or change it in my standard configuration.
How can I change this standard configuration? Anyone has done such kind of customization?
Thanks for your help and more help on this topic will be appreciated.

  • Personnel change request

    Dear All,
Presently we are in EHP3 is it possible to work in personnel change request in ESS/MSS
    Thanks and Regards,
    Revathi.

PCR are still available though SAP recommend to use HR forms for newer releases.
    From SPRO node help text
Recommendation: Implement Processes to Change Employee Data
Until now, in the portal, a manager used Personnel Change Requests to initiate processes for changing employee data.
Now the new service and form application HR Administrative Services is available for such processes. This application is more flexible and allows you to convert much more complex processes more quickly.
In mySAP ERP 2005, HR Administrative Services and Personnel Change Requests are available in parallel and are supported. In future releases, the standard delivery will concentrate on HR Administrative Services. Personnel Change Requests are available in mySAP ERP 2005 for the last time in the standard delivery.
As the HR Administrative Services are already available with mySAP ERP 2005, we highly recommend that in mySAP ERP 2005 you implement processses for changing employee data using HR Administrative Services.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,

  • What is meant by change pointer and change request

    hi,
what is meant by change pointer and change request in sap r3
plz can u any one notes or link on this , or if possible briefly tell about this..
i am looking for clear idea on this..
    thanks
    Ruban

With respect to Dictionary Change pointers means all the changes done to dictionary objects.
All the change logs with respect to tables are stored in CDHDR and CDPOS table
Change Pointers in broad sense are used with respect to IDOC
Change Pointers & Reduction of IDOCs.
Applications, which write change documents, will also try to write change
pointers for ALE operations. These are log entries to remember all modified
    data records relevant for ALE.
Following Steps must be followed in case of Change Pointer.
    1) Goto Transaction BD60.
Note down the Details of the Message Type for which change pointer has to activate. Details like Function Module, Classification Object, ALE object Type etc.
    E.g. ZDEBP3
    2) Next step is goto transaction BD53
    Click on change button.
First select the segment for which the fields has to modified (either remove or
    add ).
It will show the fields in a pop-up window where the user can select, deselect the respective fields.
Save the settings for the Message type. Don’t forget to activate the change pointers by clicking Activate Change pointers button on the main screen.
    3) Once the activation is done system will reset the settings for the Message type in Change pointers (BD60). Maintained the old settings for the Message type.
    Check this FAQ
. Do you really need change pointers?
You need change pointers to distribute changes with the ALE SMD tool. If you do not use this tool, you do not need to write change pointers.
You can deactivate change pointers and activate them again with the transaction BD61.
    2. Do you really need to activate change pointers for this messages type?
If some messages types are no longer to be distributed by change pointers, you can deactivate change pointers for this messages type.
You can deactivate change pointers for the message type
    and reactivate them again.
For reduced message types, deactivate the change pointer with the
    Reduction tool (transaction BD53).
    3. Are there still too many change pointers to be processed?
The change pointers are analyzed with the transaction BD21 or the report RBDMIDOC in ALE and flagged as processed. If the change pointers are created periodically, this report should also run periodically.
    4. Are no longer required change pointers reorganized in time?
The report RBDCPCLR (transaction BD22) to reorganize the change pointer should run periodically. Depending on how many change pointers are created or processed, you can schedule the background job hourly, daily or weekly. You should delete all obsolete and processed change pointers. You can also use this report for specified message types.
We come across change pointer technique while dealing with master data distribution thru ALE/IDOCs
When we want to reflect changes made to master data(i.e customer master, vendor master, material master ...) visible to other clients listed in customer distribution model, we follow change pointer technique.
    What is customer distribution model?
A customer model depicts various messages (master data, transactional data) exchanged between the systems and establishes a sender and receiver of data
A customer model is always maintained on any system for the entire distributed network of SAP systems, so it must be distributed to various systems in the distributed network.
These r some details regarding change pointer technique which u may find it usefull.............
The change pointers technique is based on the change document technique, which tracks changes made to key documents in SAP, such as the material master, customer master, vendor master & sales orders. changes made to a document are recorded in the change document header table CHDHR, and additional change pointers are written in the BDCP table for changes relevant to ALE. BDCPS table stores the status of changed documents processed or not.
The process for distributing master data using change pointers involves the following steps.
The application writes change documents. SAP maintains change documents for
several objects in the system, such as materials, customers, invoices, and bank data, to provide an audit trail for changes made to an object. A change document object represents a set of tables for which changes are recorded. For example, the change document for the material master is named MATERIAL and it contains the various tables of the material master object, such as MARA and MARC.
When an application transaction makes changes to an object, the application writes change documents, which are stored in the CDHDR and CDPOS tables for each change made to an object.
    Tip
Execute transaction SCDO to see a list of change document objects and
    their tables.
The SMD (Shared Master Data) tool writes change pointers. When changes are made to an object, the SMD tool checks the ALE settings and consults the ALE distribution model to determine whether a receiver is interested in the object that was changed. If the system finds an appropriate receiver, the system creates change pointers in the BDCP table that point to change documents in the CDHDR table.
The ALE programs analyze change pointers and generate IDocs. SAP provides
standard function modules that read the change pointer table and generate IDocs for the objects that were changed. These programs are designed to ignore multiple changes and create only one IDoc. For example, if a material is changed four times before the function module is invoked, only one IDoc with the latest data from the material master data is created. The function modules are invoked by a standard report, RBDMIDOC. The selection parameters of this report allow you to specify the message type for which change pointers are to be analyzed. Configuration
you must carry out the following configuration steps to enable master data
distribution based on changes to the object.
Step 1: Enable Change Pointers Globally
    Transaction: BD61
This option enables the change pointer process globally. Make sure that the flag is checked.
Step 2 :Enable Change Pointers for a Message Type
    Transaction: BD50
This setting is required for activating change pointers for a specific message type.
make sure that the Active flag is checked for your message type.
Step 3 :Specify the Fields for Which Change Pointers Are to Be Written
    Transaction: BD52
For standard master data objects such as the material, customer, and vendor objects, SAP already provides a list of fields for which change pointers are written. If you are satisfied with the standard set of fields, you can skip this step. If you want to add new fields, you must add entries for the required fields. If you are not interested in IDocs being generated for changes to a particular field, you can remove it from the list. For example, if you do not want to distribute the
material master for changes made to the Catalog Profile (RBNRM) field, you can delete this entry from the table.
Step 4: Changing a Field in the Master Data
Change a field in the master data object for which the change pointer is enabled. For example, if you change the net weight of a material in the material master data, a change pointer is written.
Tip : You can verify a change document and change pointer by viewing entries in
    tables CDHDR and BDCP, respectively.
Step 5 :Executing Program RBDMIDOC to Process Change Pointers
Execute program RBDMIDOC to initiate the process of generating an IDoc. On the selection screen, specify the message type. For example, you can specify MATMAS. After you execute the process, it displays the number of entries processed.
    Note :
Normally, you schedule this program to run frequently and start IDoc
    generation for different message types.
Step 6 : View the idocs in WE02/05
