Parallel Routing - Quantity split in operations

Hi all,
I need help regarding the parallel routing,
operation description
Sequence 0  1
10
20                20
30
40
I have parallel routing with sequence no's 0 and 1
if I have a production order for 10 Nos
1) operation 10 is confirmed  for 10 Nos
2) operation 20 in sequence 0 system proposes for 10 Nos
    for confirmation
3) Operation 20 of sequence 1 system proposes for 10 Nos for
    confirmation which is not so
There should be a split in the quantity for parallel  operation like 5,5(Nos) for both opeation 20,20
how do i obtain the slipt in quanty flow to subsequent opeation
also after confirmation of both operation 20,20 system should propose cumulative quantity(10 Nos) in operation 30  for confirmation.
Thanks in advance
Raghavendra

Hi Raghvendra,
If more than one operation has to be carried out simultaneously then one has to go for parallel sequence
Like taking your example if second & thrid operation takes place at the same time then it is caaled as parallel sequence
any way for your requirement you have to go for operation split
you dont need to maintain two seperate sequences for operation splitting
you want to split between m/c in the same work center(like one work center with 2-3 machines-Machine category) then its possible to do the splitting-you need to maintain each machine as "indvidual capacities" in the work center under capacity header
Then in the operation overview select the required operation(2nd in your case) operation details-->Cap reqmnt assigment here you split the qty & assign to different machines
Basically you have to do capacity levelling,it can be done in CM27,CM25
Hope the above is clear
Revert if you have doubts

    PP guru
    My scenario is as follows.
    I ve one material suppose…xyz.
For that material I' ve created bom, routing.
In routing I' ve mention only one operation. 0010.
Now I' ve the production order of 1000 kg.
I want to use two work centers to run this production order. ( e.g.work center a and b)
In routing I used work center a.
In short I want split that operation.
So what I ve to do or use parallel sequence and how???
or else is there any other option to split the order to two or more machines/work center?
    Pls explain me in brief.
    Regards,
    Ram

    Hi,
If you want to carry the production with two different work centers , first you need to split the operation qty.
For this in the order type dependent parameters OPL8
in the controlling tab page enable the indicator Cost collector
and set the default rule as PP2.
Create a Product cost collector with KKF6N.
Now in the production order , select the operation and choose functions--->>> split.
Now enter the operation split quantity and execute.
Now in MD04 you can see two production order.
In the second production order change the work center in the operation overview as desired and save.

  • Quantity Spliting in Operation in routing

    Hi,
Supposr I have PRODUCTION ORDER for material A for 10 pc in which operation are,
    10-tURNING
    20-Plating
    30-Deliver to Store
Now I want to perform operation 10 on two workcenter w1 and w2 each for 5 pc of A.
Now how I can do this in SAP as we can not confirm operation 10 two times for two workcenter. So I want way through which I can confirm 5 PC of A on workcenter W1 and 5pc of A on workcenter W2 for operation 10.Total for INPUT FROM OPERATION 10 TO operation 20 is 10 PC.

    Hi,
You can do this by Operation Split.
    Splitting
If an operation is usually carried out on several machines or by several employees at the same time, the operation can be split. Splitting is defined in the operation.
Splitting an operation has the following effects:
The processing time/execution time is reduced compared with an operation that is not split
Multiple setup and teardown is required for the operation
The system selects the minimum from one of the following as the actual number of splits :
Number of splits in the operation
Number of individual capacities of the work center capacity that is relevant to scheduling
Splitting can be done by following procedure:
Go to CO02--> Operation Overview--> Select Operation -> Go to Operation Details->Select Splitting Tab
    Under Splitting Tab
tick check box of Required Splitting
Maintain required values for Maximum No of Splits, Actual No of Splits,Minimum Processing time and save the settings.
    HOpe this helps.
    Award points if useful.

  • Parallel routing / sequence

    Hi Experts,
I have issue in routing as follows:
I have five operation in a routing as A,B,C,D,E. In every operation I have some component allocation.
Now operation B,C,D is a common operation but components to be allocated is different as per left side and right side of the product.
So How should I map these oerations B,C,D with different components allocation in a single routing.
Should I use parallel sequence or is there anything like parallel routing also. Please tell me the steps to create the routing with parallel sequences and parallel routing with effects of that after MRP run also.
    Waiting for the valuable guidance.
    Regards
    Deepak Sharma

    Hi,
In this case, for the operations B,C,D allocating components differently is not possible in the same routing. Because if the components are aligned to left or right as mentioned, there may be change in the product which in case has to be maintaned in different routings with different material numbers.
If not create routing for the same material with group counter 1 and 2, and create production versions and pick the desired ones after Production order creation.
Hope this gives you an idea...

  • How to create parallel routing sequence

how to create parallel routing sequence?
    we have routings 3010 ,3020 ,3030 and 3040.
but 3010,3020 and 3030 operationwise shop list to be released at one time becuse they all are parallel operations.
after 3010,3020 and 3030 operations 3040 is a sequencial operation.
please do explain the process how to create parallel routing sequence in this case
    and confirmation of operations
    thanking you
    srinivas

    Srinivas,
i think you are looking at an option were in you can confirm or do goods Issue for the order. If that was the requirement, then the control is in customizing transaction "OPK4".
Here in this transaction you need to define "operation sequence is not checked" for the plant/order type combination.
Hope this helps....Please let me know if your need is something else,

  • Parallel Routing in Production

    Hi all,
I am using parallel routing. When we creder production order, routing gets coppied in production order.I am able to see only standard sequence but not able to see parallel sequence. How can we see it in production order? and how it works?
    Its urgent.
    Mayur

    Hi Mayur Phalak ,
Pls follow as pradeep's reply to view the paralle sequence
You will not be able to view standard & parallel sequence together in the same screen
Coming to your second question-How it works?
Alignment key controls the scheduling part
As u know the operation with longest lead time will come in the standard sequence
If you set alignement key as "1" then all the operations(both std & parallel) will be scheduled to start at the same time but will end at different time as the lead time vaires for each operation
If you set as "2" then all the operations(both std & parallel) will end at same time ,floats will be at the beginning ie starting will vary for each opearation depending on the lead time
Hope this is helpful,Revert if you have further query

  • Error in schedulinq parallel sequences with flow production operations

We have a routing with a standard sequence with operations in wich we have set "Continuous flow prod"
    and "Min. Send-Ahead Qty=1".
We have a parallel sequence as well with operations set in the same way "Continuous flow prod"
    and "Min. Send-Ahead Qty=1".
When you run the transaction "MD11" to create a planned order for the item the scheduling of the operations is correct
as regard the standard sequence, the system, correctly,  schedules the operations overlapping
them according to lead time set in the operation details.
But the last operation of the parallel sequence is scheduled to finish the whole lot before the operation
following the "return operation" . The system doesn't overlap this operation. In this way the
last item of the last operation (in the parallel sequence) isn't finished at the same time
with the last item of the "return operation" (in the standard sequence) as we like it would be.
We have set "Backwards scheduling" type on customizing and we use the "Alignment key= 2 "
for standard sequence and in the parallel as well. We have also tryed to set "Alignment key= 1"
in the parallel sequence but the results are howewer not correct.
In conclusion the schedulation of  continuous flow production operations
doesn't work properly between operations belonging to parallel sequences.
Could you suggest me what to do?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
      I tried with 5 ops 10, 20, 30 ,40,50 ( same work center  wc1)
Set up time 1, Process time 1min for 1 pc
set the continuous flow prodn i at op 20 with min send ahead qty 1
      Also a parallel seq was created with 3 ops op20 ,30 , 40 .
set up time was 2 min for all work centers( same work center wc2) and proc time
time is 1 min for  1 pc
In that set the  continuous flow prodn at op 20 with min send ahead qty 1
      sceduling type was forward
.Alignment key was 2 for both std seq and parallel seq .
After scheduling found that op 20 in std seq starts at 6.14am and op 40 ends
at 6.47 am where as in parallel seq op 20 starts at 6.11 am and op 40 ends at
at 6.47 am which is correct.( branch op is 20 and return op is  40)
The three minutes late start in op 20 of std seq  is due to 3 minutes extra time
defined for three  work centers setup time.
I also tried with alignment key 1in both std seq and parellel seq.
Kindly check that you have maintained the continous flow prodn radio button
in the same operation in both std seq and parallel seq.

  • I have Mac OSX Lion 10.7.4, Quickbooks Pro 2010, Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac, Operating in Windows 7.  Are there any recommendations for running Quickbooks Pro 2010?

I have Mac OSX Lion 10.7.4, Quickbooks Pro 2010, Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac, Operating in Windows 7.  Quicbooks Pro 2010 is not responding or opening currently. Quickbooks does not support Parallels anymore.  I hear Apple Bootcamp is an opton.  Are there any recommendations for running Quickbooks Pro 2010 on Mac?

QuickBooks Pro 2010 for Mac is not supported in Lion. QB Pro 2011 will work, but I just got an email today that 2011 will not be updated to work in Mountain Lion. QB Pro 2012 will be updated for ML.
Be aware that the Mac version of QuickBooks is shamefully lacking in features compared to the Windows version. I do use the Mac version, but it has more features than I need for a small business, so it doesn't affect me. No one knows why Intuit seems to hate Mac users, but they show it every day.
If QB Pro 2012 for Mac can be downloaded as a demo, I would strongly suggest testing with it before making a final decision. You will be able to import the Windows data, but possibly not all of it, depending on the Windows version features you use.
Boot Camp allows you to install Windows on its own, bootable partition. When you boot to it, you are of course running Windows in every sense of the word. Just on Mac hardware rather than typical PC gear. Your Windows version of QB will work there without issue. The problem is having to boot back and forth between Windows and OS X, depending on what software it is you need to use at the time.

  • To split an operation quantity in a single production order into different work centers.

    Detailed Process:
Our client have 17 factories. Inside each factory there are 15-20 Sewing lines (Work Centers). In each line 15-20 machines (individual capacities) are there. The standard manufacturing scenario practiced here is MTO. Merchandisers create sales order and allot it to a particular plant. Now line level planning happens inside the factory. Based on the order delivery date to meet the requirements they split the production order and allot it to several sewing lines (work centers).  In SAP we can have work around solution to partially convert planned order to production order and allot it to particular line. The challenge here is to have same production order number which can be allotted to several sewing lines with a mandatory option to enter the quantity for each sewing line
We have proposed alternative and multiple routing for converting planned order into number of production orders but the solution was not meeting their requirements.
Please provide your valuable opinions on this issue.

You need a Parallel sequence with :
    Seq0 Op10 Work Center A,
    Seq1 Op10 Work Center B, Reference Seq 0, Branch Op10, Return Operation10.
So in Operation 10, you have 2 process running parallel.
To control the quantity, you may need to modify your BOM example:
    BOM For Material X = Component Y required 10pcs
Split 10 pcs into 5 each in BOM as below.
    Item 0010 Component Y  5 pcs, in routing assign to Seq0, Op10
    Item 0011 Component Y  5 pcs, in routing assign to Seq1, Op10
Please let us know whether it help.

  • Is RV110W capable of "selective" VPN routing? Split tunneling?

    Hello,
I'm trying to find an anwer to for a question whether the RV110W is capable of distinguish between traffic that should go to VPN tunnel and traffic that should not go thru the VPN tunnel - I think this is called split tunneling.
I've been requested to create a VPN Tunnel between an office that's using the RV110W and one corporate network where a VPN server is running. That is quite easy as I know that RV110W has VPN client mode, however there a requirement not to route all traffic through the VPN tunnel. Only traffic that directs to the corporate network (certain ragne of IP addresses) should be routed thru the VPN tunnel and the rest that directs elsewhere should not go to VPN tunnel.
Is this achievable with this device?
If not, could you recommend me a device that is capable to satisfy this requirement?
    Thank you for your anwers.

    Ladislav,
When you create a site to site VPN tunnel, all devices on each side that are on the same VLAN in which the tunnel is created should have access to each other. It will be like they are on the same network but they will have different IP subnets. So the answer is yes, devices on the "server" side should be able to access devices on the RV110W side.

  • Order quantity split in multiple delivery

    Hi,
We have a strange requirement. If we put the order quantity in the sales order line Item as 100 MT then the deliveries should be split and should contain 30,30,30 & 10 quantities respectively.
    Please suggest.
    Regards
    Rahul

You can set delivery quantity in multiples but not like the one you have indicated.
Go to Tab: Sales: sales org.1 in material master where you can see a field Delivery unit.  There you need to maintain in what multiples, order quantity should be saved.  Suppossing if you maintain 30 here, delivery will be created only in multiples of 30.  In order to create separate delivery for each of these multiples, you have to add this logic in your existing routine.
Also go to OVAH, select message no.V4-081 and change it to "E". By default "W" will be there.

  • Report on Split on Operations

    Hello
We split operations on several persons via the Requirement Assignment Tab on the PM order operations.
But we would like to report how much hours is planned on each of the persons in a work center.
E.g. per Day or per Week.
Is there a report that can show this?
    Best regards
    Tom

    Hi
    Example
Peter, Hans and Ann are all asigned to work centre EL.
Via Requirement tab on the operations the following are planned.
Order 1 - operation 0010:  Peter 5 hrs, Hans 5 hrs                            date is Monday
Order 1 - operation 0020:  Ann 8 hrs, Hans 2 hrs                              date is Monday and Tuesday
Order 2 - operation 0010:  Ann 5 hrs, Peter 5 hrs, Hans 5 hrs          date is Wednesday
Order 3 - operation 0010:  Peter 3 hrs                                                dateis Tuesday
Then I want a report that for work center EL show all operations planned for each person
    Like this
                            Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday   .....
    Peter                     5             3               5
    Hans                     6             1               5
    Ann                       4             4               5
If this is not possible at, least select the work center, from-top date and then per person see how many hrs is planned via Requirement tab.
    Best regards
