Parameter Incorrect

I am trying to make a rollover button in Fireworks 4.0 this
is something I have done before with this program on this computer
and I know I am doing everything right but when I go to look at my
button in my browser preview it keeps telling me that my parameter
is incorrect. I have updated both fire works 4.0 and dreamweaver
4.0 nad when I try to export it and look at it in dreamweaver it is
all messed up. Can anyone help me out on this?

Try turning off all other apps running in the background.
This error can
be caused by insufficient available RAM.

Parameter incorrect (help the newbie?)

Hey,
I'm using Dreamweaver 8 and I'm having rather a lot of
problems with error messages saying "parameter incorrect". I can't
understand what it means, and it is paralyzing my work.
For example, I'll be trying to change links sitewide and then
put all recently modified so that my new links will be functional.
But there are always parameter incorrect errors, and every time one
pops up, it blocks the whole putting process, disconnects me from
the server, and there seems to be no way of cancelling the process
or reconnecting... other than restarting the program with
ctrl-alt-del. Annoying! Parameter incorrect messages are preventing
ALL site-wide updates now.
I had a tip from someone to install the 8.0.2 updater, but
the person who did this seems to have had a different sort of
problem. I am trying it, and I have the installer CD, but what I do
not have is a working cd rom! So I'm trying to see if the
workaround suggested by Adobe can solve my problem, but I'm not
super optimistic.
Have any of you had experience with this? Any suggestions?

I just started getting this problem with DW CS3, it just
suddenly showed up after never having done this for months of using
this program.
It is unacceptable to reinstall the program to get around
this problem.

IPod cyclical redundancy check/Parameter Incorrect error on large files

I’ve started getting errors on some large files (seemingly random) that I copy to my 5.5G 40GB iPod. (They’re .tivo files from my Tivo so I can watch shows on another computer, and my iPod is FAT32 used only with Windows.)
The files will copy without error, but then when I try to copy them off the iPod, on one system I’ll get a “cyclical redundancy check” error, and on another in the same spot with the same file I’ll get “Cannot copy <name of file>: The parameter is incorrect.
It seems to be happening just recently, and randomly. Maybe I’ll copy 8 shows over, and only one will give me that error.
When I get the error, the iPod’s disk activity indicator will have stopped spinning. It’s like it’s quit trying to transfer anything. I’ll get errors for a short while after that if I try to access anything on disc, but then it’s like the iPod wakes up again, the disc spins back up, and my computer can access files again.
I’ve restored my iPod recently, and run a basic check on the disk using Windows’ built-in disk utility.
Any other ideas what’s going wrong? Nothing’s changed about my systems since this started yesterday.

Parameter Incorrect Error -- No Source

When I try to delete a topic, I get an error saying "The
Parameter is incorrect." I checked the forum and found Mr.
Grainge's response to another user on the subject, but I can't
figure out how to apply the remedy to this project. The user with
the same problem decompiled his working CHM file. My project is
WebHelp Pro, and there is no CHM to decompile.
I have tried manually deleting the file in Explorer, and I
get the same problem as the previous user, where the topic still
appears, but Xed out in red. If I cannot delete it, I will leave it
be, but I would prefer to delete it.

You don't say anything about installation, whether your
project is on your hard disk whether you have tried deleting the
CPD file and the XPJ file etc. I noted the other person only
deleted the CPD file. I've seen deleting one only fail to resolve
problems that deleting both fixed so you might want to try that. Do
check the topic on my site about Opening Projects before you go
ahead.
There's nothing to stop you creating a CHM and reverse
engineering that but I'm not sure that is necessary.

SQL Backup fails with error 87 parameter incorrect

I have a SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 Standard instance working great, except upon attempts to use SQL backup to a UNC path hosted on Server 2012 R2, backup jobs fail with error 87 (the parameter is incorrect). When backing up to Server 2008 R2 and Server 2012
shares, everything seems to work normally.
Any experience with something like this? I've verified perms to the path and reachability in general, and it's clearly not an access denied error (which I've seen before).

Parameter Incorrect Eorror

Ever time I try to export my wireframe as PDF with all pages get a could not complete your request parameter was incorrect error
and can't figure out why?
If do one page and try to export it don't get error does it would no problem at all it only when do it with all pages i'm get error
so what could be cuase this issue to get the error. I check everything from frame to my layer still had no luck get it to export all
and really need send this wireframe to my cleint i'm on deadline.

N85 Cannot copy {Filename} parameter incorrect

Hi im new here, and ive googled this but found no help.
The problem is recently I have found it increasingly difficult to add new music to my N85, and its getting worse.
When i first got it, all the music i put on, went on, first time. Then i began to notice the error message in the title appearing now and again. Now it is happening with every .mp3 or .wma i try and put on the phone.

Software updates are always worth a shot but remember to take all the necessary precautions such as backing up before updating. There are also inherent risks with updating, so be sure to follow all instructions to the letter. If you have a sim pin, disable it before the update.
Malfunctioning sim cards will sometimes manifest itself with data corruption which gets worse as the card fills up. Some poor quality cards never reach their max capacity as a result. I just think it is worth a shot to try another card if you have one.
I have updated firmware on many occasions but I have never been able to do it without holding my breath from start to finish. The decision is yours.

The parameter is incorrect Error when browsing by name

I have a domain setup, When i try to browse my "servername - share" i recieve the following error
"servername - share" is not accessible. you might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
the parameter is incorrect.
if i browse "ip address - share" i get in no problem
also if i browse by fully qualified domain name the the directories are empty

Please try to use UNC name to access the folder to check the result.
Also, try to use another account for test or using another client to access the share folder.

GENIUS NEEDED! - "incorrect parameter"

Hi there i need some help,
whenever i connect my ipod to my computer itunes does not recognise it and says to restore factory settings. the trouble is i have some data files on the ipod stored using the ipod as external disk drive. these files are virus free. in "my computer" i can access my ipod, when i go into it i can see all the folders that should be there and in those folders the appropriate content is is also displayed, the problem is that when i copy them to desktop i get a "cannot copy parameter incorrect" message. Other ipods can connect to this computer without a problem.
can anyone help me with this i realy need these files, and don't want to restore factory settings or reformat the ipod before i get these files off.

all i wanted was a suggestion to the direction to go
to solve this problem. Was abroad with no other means
of storage so ipod was nearby and i used that. don't
suppose you have any clue how to solve this or heard

While he wasn't exactly saying it in the nicest way, he's correct. There may not be a solution to your problem. The iPod is simply not a safe place to store files, and it is most likely not possible to copy those files back off the iPod in its current state.
Sorry, but them's the facts. Next time you're abroad and need to copy some files, spend the Euros and buy a cheap USB memory stick. The iPod is a device with moving parts, flash memory is not. Flash memory is far less prone to problems. The Nano and shuffle, BTW, use flash memory and are not subject to this same sort of thing.

Error when logging into the UME

I am having problems logging into my UME. This is an ABAP + JAVA install on the IBM iSeries. I've got a total of 4 SAP instances with the J2EE Engines installed. This works on all excpet one. When I enter my userid J2ee_admin, it throws an 'unknown error'. I've got the trace level turned up, and the only thing I see in the default trace file is:
(UNKNOWN_ERROR) not found in properties files-UNKNOWN_ERROR
[EXCEPTION]
#1#java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find resource for bundle java.util.PropertyResourceBundle, key UNKNOWN_ERROR

Configuration of logging severity

Hello everyone,
I am trying to use the weblogic Admin console to modify the logging severity at runtime. I have an application deployed on the AdminServer.
In the web console, I go to the AdminServer Settings page and navigate to the Logging tab. I click the "Advanced" link to show the "Logger severity properties". In this box I have tried entering many different values. I save. There is no change to the logs. I restart the server, there is still no change to the logs.
Some values I've attempted to use:
com.mycompany.level=Trace
com.mycompany.level=Debug
com.mycompany=Trace
com.mycompany=Debug
.level=Trace
.level=Debug
I am using weblogic 10.3.2.0 with jdk logging.
Does anyone know if these configuration changes are supposed to affect the log files? Am I using this configuration parameter incorrectly?
Note that I have found a way to configure the logging severity using a logging.properties file, by calling:
LogManager.getLogManager().readConfiguration(EventDAOEJBImpl.class.getResourceAsStream("/logging.properties"));
However, this does not allow me to configure the application from the weblogic console. Is there a way to configure the logging severity using the weblogic console?

You may want to ask in the WebLogic Server - Diagnostics / WLDF / SNMP forum. They own logging.

Smartform & ABAP Webdynpro & Internal table

Hi Expert,
I am able to open the smartfrom by using ABAP Webdynpro.
But when I try to add the table under "Global Settings -> From Interface -> Table"

It works fine when I test it in t-code SMARTFORMS. But when I use the same ABAP Webdynpro program to open this smartform, the error appear.

Hi William,
If you have a working smartform then you should be able to display it in WD by passign its XSTRING to the PDFSOURCE of it.
Just check that where you have written the code to get the XSTRING of smartform in WD. You might have modified the smartform interface and forgot to call the revised FM generated after the smartform was changed in WD.
Just re-write the entire code to generate XSTRING for smartform and see if it works or not.
You can also try to put a break point in the code and see where exactly it is failing i.e. whether it is to do with calling smartform or converting it or WD related.

Java plugin not working

Hi,
I can't get any of my browsers Safari, Firefox or Netscape to run a simple applet such as a version checker applet.
Netscape says Java is turned off, and it's not.
I have the latest Java updates from the software update for Tiger.
Before I do a clean install, I thought I'd try here.
From the terminal, java -version gives me this:
java version "1.4.2_09"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_09-232)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2-54, mixed mode)

I went through the steps of a clean install and checked that Java applets worked in Safari, Firefox and Netscape on Tiger (all the latest vrersions)
I did all of the Mac OSX updates and it turns out that the Java runtime parameter was causing the problem. One of our Java applets uses sometimes big images and I had the Xmx runtime parameter incorrectly entered. I had it as Xmx 256 and tried -Xmx 256, but it should be -Xmx262144. (1024 X 256) or -Xmx[bytes] (The default on Mac is 64 M)

My guess is that the older version(s) of Java ignored or guessed at an improper runtime parameter, because it worked before.

Having problems installing Itunes to Windows 7 Computer

Hello, Can someone please help me!
I've tried installling Itunes to my Windows computer since I've now got an Iphone. However, When I go to install It reaches the end of the installation but never allows me to click "Next", the Cancel button is still highlighted.
If I click the cancel button, the update will not cancel. The box will just stay on the screen.
I then noticed that on the "All Programs" section, it said "Apple software updater" - When clicking on it, it said something about the "parameter incorrect." So it couldn't perform the action. I think this is the problem but I dont know how to get round it.
Could someone please give me a simple soloution!

My Trips and Expenses - tab refresh functionality

Hi Experts,
Only one tab from My trips and Expenses screen is getting refreshed after clicking 'My trips and Expense' link. I found SAP note 1542417, which says after implementation of note 1495681 or corresponding support package, the refresh of POWL query in WDA version of Travel application is not done for all tabstrip in the same time for performance reason.
After implementing SAP note 1542417, manual setting is required in IMG to set URL parameter &SAP_FITV_REFRESHA=X, to refresh of POWL query parallel for all tabstrip. I followed the steps given in the note to make the refresh functionality parallel, but still only active tab is getting refreshed. Please let me know if any action is required after maintaining the URL parameter.

I can't directly relate to the problem because I'm on EHP6. But I've taken a look at the note and the coding. You should debug WDYN FITV_POWL_TRIPS Eventhandler "HANDLE_DEFAULT" of Window "TRAVELLER" around. Serach for "*OCA 1542417", set an external breakpoint there.
Maybe the parameter isn't correctly retrieved from the URL. Alternatively maybe the subsequently fired plug and the Init-Hooks handle the parameter incorrectly.
I hope this helps a bit with the analysis.
I wouldn't be surprised if this simply is a standard problem, there have been tons of standard problems with POWL...
