Parameters in R/3 Backend(s) - No R/3 Backend(s) defined

Hi,
In SAP CRM, transaction smwp.
Runtime Information -> Adapter Status Information -> Parameters in R/3 Backend(s)
Here is says "No R/3 Backend(s) defined"
I have defined the Logical System, RFC Destination in both ECC and CRM system. I have also created stie for ECC system SMOEAC and assigned the RFC destination to the Site. I refered to the document C71_CRM Connectivity and performed the neccessary setting
In transaction SMWP if I click on No "R/3 Backend(s) defined", I get a message - No RFC destination for the R/3 Backend found.
Check the RFC destination of the R/3 backend using the Administration Console (transaction SMOEAC).
1. What I didnt understand is where do we define the connection between Logical system and the RFC destination?
2. I have a RFC destination defined for R/3 Backend, still why that error in SMWP?
Please help!!!
Best Regards,
Roshan

In transaction BD97, for Standard RFC destination for BAPI calls the RFC destination should be the same as the one you maintained in trx SMOEAC, as well as check SM59 for the R/3 destination maintained.
Table SMOHSITEID would also contain the R/3 site.

  • Question about URL iView parameters

    Hi experts.
I have this issue: I have several iviews in DEV instance, URL iViews that points to backend applicationes. The URL parameters in DEV instance, point to DEV instance of backend applications. But when a will need to transport these iview to PROD instance, the URL parameters then I need to point to PROD instance of this backends apps.
Which is the best practices to resolve this issue ?
    <b>Example:
    in DEV instance:
URL iView "A" point to http://dev.app.com.
    in PROD instance
URL iVIew "A" point to http://prod.app.com</b>
But i try to avoid change this parameters after transport to Production , in Production instance directly.
I think for example, use a some type of configuration file o .ini, in order to iviews "take" the URL string from it; and do not harcdode this strings.
    Is possible? How?
    I am clear?
    thanks in advance!

    thanks Atul, Wayne,
I could be use "http system" but..
    Suposse this case:
    In DEV instance, I have:
    - URL iview "A" point to backend system "http://dev.zzz.com"
    - URL iview "B" point to backend system "http://dev.xxx.com"
    - URL iview "C" point to backend system "http://dev.yyy.com"
    In PROD instance, I have:
    - URL iview "A" point to backend system "http://prod.rrr.com"
    - URL iview "B" point to backend system "http://dev.ddd.com/aspx"
    - URL iview "C" point to backend system "http://dev.mmm.com/app3"
All different!. No pattern.  If I use a Http system,I think that I am continue with the same problem: in the transport to PROD, I should be change all references, or all http systems.
For this reason, I am begin asking for use a some type of configuration file, but I dont know how.
    thanks in advance..

  • Programmatic access to multiple backend systems using adaptive RFC

    Hello,
The following  link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/af/84a34098022a54e10000000a1550b0/content.htm talks about the support to map multiple backend systems by specifying the backend system as URL parameters in a webdynpro application.
    For example:
    http://<hostname>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/ESSProject/ESSApp?
    sap.wdarfc.useSys=WD_MODELDATA_DEST:ABC&
    sap.wdarfc.useSys=WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST:ABC
Is it possible to programmatically change the backend systems the application connects to? in other words can a single application while executing connect to different backend systems by dynamically changing the model parameters?
(This should be possible without the portal in the picture)
    Cheers,
    Praveen

  • Https front end and http backend

Hi there....I am having a small issue....I have a web app that is https based....I have installed the cert on the CSS, and DNS for this app points to the VIP....the client is wanting to have an https front end, and then load balance in http to the backend servers....the issue I am running into is that this only works if I have an active port 80 rule on that same VIP....if I suspend the port 80 rule and only leave the port 443 rule active on that VIP, it doesn't work....please see appropriate config portions below....Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the quick reply....there is another port 80 rule setup for that vip....I was using that to test with the app until I got the front end https rules working....
my port 80 rules just says listen to 10.19.55.10 on port 80 and load balance btwn the webervers on port 8x in the back end...
I am trying to do https front end and http backend....
no where in my SSL config have I configured port 80....but when I suspend that rule it all fails....
I am wondering if the backend server sessions are happening properly?
I don't fully get what you mean by "You need to have the rule in port 443 to match traffic coming from the client and the clear text rule (port 81) to match traffic already decrypted coming from the SSL module"
    Haven'tI done that?
    Thanks again!

  • How to make input parameters as optional in the function definition

I have created a function for a data service which is at the Normalized layer and has 3 input parameters.
This function is called at the Integration layer in which we have to pass only one parameter. But for the remaning 2 parameters it is throwing an error as we cannot pass those parameters.
Is it possible that we can pass less number of parameters in the higher layer.
I had also made those parameters as optional in the function definition(by applying '?' while defining the arguments-e.g. $x as xs:string?), but error was thrown while generating the query plan.
I have attached a Demo project, in which i have defined a function at the normalized layer and this function is been called at the integration layer.

  • SRM PR is not getting created in ECC backend

    Hello Experts,
We are running SRM 7.0 with SRM-MDM Catalog, we are using SRM for shopping.  We do have PI 7.11 running in the Environment as well.
We are on ECC 6.0 with Ehp 4.0
    Purchase Order:
However we can see the PO creating successfully using PI.
Question, in the SRM table (BBP_FUNCTION_MAP), we see the object type: BUS2012 for ERP 4.0 has adapter name: /SAPSRM/CL_SOA_ADPT_PO_CRT_ERP for when creating PO. Please see teh screen shot.
is this the reason that we need PI?
    Purchase Requisition:
    PR Creation is not working:
PR is not getting created in the ERP, PR uses Object type: BUS2105, Adpater CL_BBP_BS_ADAPTER_RQ_CRT_470 for ERP 4.0 System type, can you please tell me if the adapter is correct for ERP 4.0 system type?
I also have a question to ask:
    1) Where did you see that PR/PO was send to PI System (PI1)? My understanding is that since ERP amd SRM are 2 ABAP Systems, why we cannot send the PR/PO directly to ERP system from SRM? Why do we need a middleware(PI) in between for this process? We should be able to USE BAPI function to do it correct?
    Please advice.
    Thanks
    Kumar

  • Find exact RFC Destination for Multiple backend Systems In SAP Gateway

    Hi Gateway developers,
I have requirement,if gateway hub system has multiple backend systems( for example two backend systems: ECC and SRM ) then  how  hub system can get the suitable backend alias for exact entity collection..
Here i have developed two entities one entity regards: ECC and second one regards SRM system..within this when I run the service it is always taking any of the same alias for both the collections..
    Can you please suggest me..
    Thanks
    Sreenivas Pachva

    Hi Srinivas,
You can add the respective system Alias Name: Like logical system name in your URI also.
    Example:
    /sap/Service Name;mo=ECCCLNT210/zentity1?Customer1='0001'
    /sap/Service Name;mo=SRMCLNT400/zentity2?Customer2='ABCD'
    May this help you.

  • Parameterized XSLT Mappings

    Hello,
I'm trying to implement a Parameterized XSLT Mapping. But in the documention is a gap (see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/43/bbb7fd90f5332ee10000000a11466f/frameset.htm). In Action 2 is written:
"When the XSLT mapping program is implemented, you access the mapping program parameters by accessing the get and set methods of the Java mapping API in the XSLT program (see also: XSLT Mapping with Java Enhancement, Parameterized Java Mappings)."
But when I follow the link of " XSLT Mapping with Java Enhancement " the example only shows the acces to the StreamTransformationConstants which do not contain the user parameters. How can I access the Importparameters, which I have defined in the binding in Operationmapping in my XSLT? Is ther a well working Java routine available, which could be called in the XSLT?
I have already working examples for pure ParameterizedJava Mapping and graphical Mapping but I'm missing this XSLT stuff
    Kind regards
    Manfred Schmidt-Voigt

    Hi,
same findings here. We've followed the topic for a year too now, and chance has it that I've just spent 1,5 days trying to get this to work. The only reserved xsl parameter that is documented by SAP is the inputparam, which gives you access to the runtime constants, but not the parameters. With this parameter I've called a Java class (still according to the SAP Library), but I've not been able to reach the mapping parameters in memory.
I've 2 more options which I haven't the time now to explore:
    - Call the XSLT from a Java mapping. We do have (well documented) access to mapping program parameters in a Java mapping
    - Try to read the mapping program parameters from the InputAttachment, which is accessible through the StreamTransformationConstants.
I'm keeping an eye open on this one.. good luck !

  • Calling portal v2 pages with parameters in a jsp

         Hello everybody,
I'm currently trying to create, in a jsp, a link to a portal-v2 page with parameters.
    Practically :
    [JSP / Portlet 1]
         - a 1st jsp generates some links, all to the same page but each sets a different value to a parameter (for example a productId in a list).
    [JSP / Portlet 2]
         - a 2nd jsp gets this parameter and use it (for example it displays the details of the chosen product).
So the 1st portlet would be jsp (coded by a portlet designer) and clicking a link would lead to another page (chosen by a page designer) which would hold the 2nd portlet (= 2nd jsp, coded by the same portlet designer).
Writing the second jsp is easy : getting parameters is described in many examples and pdk articles.
But I can't find the java methods to use to generate the link. More precisely I don't know how to call the portal page (which would then be a jsp1's parameter). Adding the parameter is well described in the jpdk API-Doc.
I've tried to use portal events but they seem to work only in an html form. So I supposed it was a wrong way.
As I've lost myself so many times in the API-Doc and I didn't find any jpdk sample about that, I would be really thankfull if someone has an idea (may I hope for a sample code ? :-)
    Thanks.
    Jean-Roch

    I'm having a similar problem!
I have a JSP page which I have published as a portlet to Portal. The JSP portlet is placed on Portal a page. I need to call this Portal page with some parameters in the URL, which should get passed to the JSP portlet.
In the JSP portlet I used this syntax in release 1 to retrieve the URL parameters:
    String p_itemID = request.getParameter("item_id");
That worked great in release 1, but not in release 2.... I think the problem is that you need to define which parameters a portlet has, then map those portlet parameters to page parameters in the page properties. In dynamic page - portlets you define bind variables to accomplish this. But how do you do in JSP portlets? When you try to map Page Parameters to the JSP portlet you'll find that Portal doesn't think that the JSP portlet has any parameters. Hence the page parameters does not get passed to the portlet.
    (More info: JDBC----getImportedKeys() )
I've looked at the Multipage example and the forminput example. But I don't see how pass a parameter in the URL to the very first JSP portlet from looking at those examples. I do see how you can pass parameters to the next JSP portlet, but that's not my problem. Maybe I'm missing something obvious...
    Any ideas?

  • Require help in connecting to https backend

    Hi,
We need a help in accessing two way enabled backend from weblogic.
    Proxy -> backend(2 way ssl)
We have shared our public certificate with them. They have given back the same certificate by signing it and has asked us to import that certificate.
As I understand when the two way SSL happens,
1)first weblogic sends a hello message to backend. 2) Backend sends back his certificate 3)weblogic will verify and sends the public cert of weblogic. and then connection happens if everything is fine.
If we import the certificate which is signed by the backend into our trust keystore, will it create a problem?
If we import the certificate which is signed from them, do we need to create a SKP in our business service to send the certificate back to them?
    Please suggest
    Thanks,
    Anup

if i remember correctly.. two was ssl between proxy and wls is not possible.
why do u need two way ssl between proxy and wls? you can have two way ssl between proxy n client and one way between wls and proxy..

  • Named Parameters in Queries - the spec vs the Java EE 5 Tutorial

    Hi,
I've been studying the topic about the named parameters in JPA and found one inconsistency between the spec and the Java EE 5 Tutorial. Could anyone lend me a helping hand understanding it?
The Java Persistence API spec (ejb-3_0-fr-spec-persistence.pdf) 3.6.3 "Named Parameters" at page 69 reads:
The use of named parameters applies to the Java Persistence query language, and is not defined for native queries.
whereas the Java EE 5 Tutorial in the section Named Parameters in Queries (http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/PersistenceIntro3.html#wp81563) of The EntityManager reads:
Named parameters are case-sensitive, and may be used by both dynamic and static queries.
I think that the reality is that every JPA provider supports named parameters in dynamic and static queries, but it's not fully supported by the spec (yet not forbidden).

    Hi Jacek,
These are not conflicting statements. Named parameters apply to the Java Persistence
Query language only, not to native queries. There are two ways to specifiy
Java Persistence Query Language queries : dynamically and statically. You can
either pre-define the query string using @NamedQuery
    static :
    @NamedQuery(name="findPersonByName",
    query="SELECT OBJECT(p) FROM Person p WHERE p.name LIKE :pName")
OR, pass the query string in at runtime using EntityManger.createQuery
    dynamic :
    em.createQuery("SELECT OBJECT(p) FROM Person p WHERE p.name LIKE :pName")
The dynamic approach allows you to construct portions of the query string at runtime.
My example doesn't do that but the point is that use of the createQuery()
API is considered the dynamic approach.
The crux of the Java EE 5 Tutorial statement you referenced is that named parameters apply to
both the static and dynamic use of Java Persistence Query Language queries.

  • SQLJ : sending refcursors via out parameters of PL/SQL functions possible ?

    Hello,
in SQLJ it's possible to get a refcursor back from a PL/SQL
    function via
the return value(the usual case in the online examples).
Is it also possible to give a refcursor back via an out
    parameter
so that the return value could be used for others ways ?
SQLJ generation in JDeveloper handles the first way, but we
    didn't
get it to work with the out parameter.
    Thank you for your help.

It's certainly possible to have a stored procedure with an OUT parameter that is a REF CURSOR and use that to return data to JDBC. That's actually the most common way that JDBC programmers get ResultSets from stored procedures. I would have to assume that SQLJ would facilitate that?
Is there a reason that you're looking to use a stored function rather than a stored procedure? The latter seems like a much more logical construct when you have OUT parameters. I've never seen a stored function that was defined with any OUT parameters.

  • VC Report design - Data from 2 backend systems

    Hi,
I have a report to develop at below.
Material Inventory (Backend 1) Inventory (Backend 2)
    XYZ 10 12
    ABC 100 103
    and so on.
I get the following from 1st backend system
    Material and Inventory (Backend 1)
I get the following from 1st backend system
    Material and Inventory (Backend 2)
Master data from both systems are syncronised that means that the material numbers will be the same.
I am using VC to extract data from these systems, I have managed to get the data into 2 table views and now need to join them together into 1 view as shown above.
The combie operator does not work as it shows the data as below
    XYZ 10
    XYZ 12
    ABC 100
    ABC 103
    Please suggest options.

    so to understand logic clearly---
Q1- if i have 2 cubes- cube1 with flat file data and cube2 with sap data
and if i build Multiprovider on top of it - the data will be like below ?
    Order No....level....date....quantity...price....dist.channel....country.
    131.............1..........1.1.10.......4........##.......11..............US
    131.............1..........##...........##.........100.......11.............##

    231.............2..........2.1.10.......5.........##........11..............Uk
    231.............3..........2.1.10.......1........0.........11..............Uk
and to bring the clear data i have to MANUALLY seperate logic of CONSTANT SELECTION in all queries in future ??

  • PO in backend classic scenario

    Hi experts
I am triing to create Po in backend from a catalog shopping cart but an error occur ERROR CREATING SUBSEQUENT DOCUMENT`
But no log that help me to solve the problem are displayed.
Im PPOMA_BBP the users have BSA atribute ECPO.
IN Define Number Ranges per Backend System for Follow-on Documents For backend (PO) and for SRM (PO)
In Define Objects in Backend System (Purch. Reqs, Reservations, Purch. Orders) Always external and PO or PR
In Define Sourcing for Product Categories NEVER CARRIED AUT
Where can I find a log  to solve it?
    Nilson

Hi. Is that all it says in the application monitors or RZ20?
You can try and resubmit using function BBP_REQREQ_TRANSFER and see if that creates a more meaningful error.
If you do not get anything that makes sense in the application monitors or RZ20 then you should raise a message with SAP.

  • The importance of input parameters and output parameters

    hi all.
kindly suggest me the importance of output and input parameters in smart forms.

    HI,
    INPUT parameter----
    > the varibales which already defined and defined and holds the data.
    OUTPUR parameter----
    > the variables which are not holding the values before executing the flow logic
after  executing flowlogic these will hold the values.
    Eg:
    in flow logic:
    input para                                             output para
    gv_val                                                    gv_val1.
    code:
    gv_val1 = gv_val + 1
reward me if it is useful.
