Parameters missing LOVs

Hi,
I've an issue that seems to be isolated to Plus/Viewer. We've a new set of reports in our production environment that run perfectly when executed in Desktop. However, when attempting to run in either Plus or Viewer, some parameters are not retrieving LOVs. On clicking the flashlight, an error message 'There are no values for .....' appears.
As a process of elimination, I've logged on with two different IDs; one works fine and the other doesn't. This suggests to me that it's security related.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi,
you already mentioned that it seems to be user related. What is the difference between the two different user accounts? Do they have different respos and maybe with this they have different access to Business Areas? Check the security settings of the business area of the folder and the item class. Most probably one user has privileges to access it, the other user not.
regards,
David.

    Hi
Please activate the corresponding programs again. I think you got a short dump for this error, if yes, you can see the program's name there.

    Hi,
Can you try putting the declaration of the URLLoader instance
outside your fetchISSN function and see?
    That is:

  • Web Service Export Parameters missing when consumed by Visual Studio 2005

    Hi,
I am using Visual Studio 2005 (2.0 framework) to consume bespoke SAP Web Services (SAP 4.7) however some of the export parameters are missing. I have tested the SAP web services with various XML tools and they all work perfectly.
Is there anything I can do to enable Visual Studio to genarate the correct proxy?
    Many thanks for any tips.
    Billy

This isn't going to work as well as I had thought.
That is correct that the Name and Value fields come back as XmlNode arrays. Each XmlNode array contains two XmlNode objects (or one if you received a null value from the db). One object contains the atrributes and one contains the value. I had planned on going into the ColumnValueType Value field and pulling the text of the 2nd XmlNode object.
    Now here is the problem:
For every column you select you get a ColumnValueType object. Rather than being contained in some type of "Row" parent object, each column sits in the root of your results. For example, in the query I am using I am asking for the AlertingName and DnOrPattern columns of the NumPlan table. My results come back like this (simplified):
    AlertingName
    John Doe
    DnOrPattern
    1234
With the data in this format, I can't just do a foreach loop and iterate over the ColumnValueType objects.

  • Query Bind Parameters and LOV's [JHS 10.1.3.1]

Using the JHeadstart Developer's Guide instructions (starting section 3-69) I have started to learn and then implement Query Bind Parameters in JHeadstart - but I am being met with nothing but troubles.
Is there anything 'special' that I have to do in order to get a query bind parameter to work with a LOV? I have followed the instructions in the Developer's Guide but just replaced the bind parameters that would otherwise be in a Dynamic Domain into a LOV group in the JHeadstart Application Definition file..
To be precise about all of this, I have been trying to get this to work with the HR database schema. So, like in the mini-tutorial I have a query bind parameter on a Employee table View Object set as a LOV to the ManagerId field on the Departments View Object (set in Form View).
What is actually happening when I open up my LOV, is that no rows are ever displayed in the LOV pop-up window.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Michael,
Take a look at this thread:
Re: Group Used as LOV does not return records
You have to use a managed bean to "communicate" the value of the Employees base page to the LOV page definition.

  • Simple SQL Query and Parameters and LOV

Newbie and trying to work thru building a simple sql query with a single table query and use a parameter and lov.
Can anyone point me to an example.
    simple query:
    select cust_id, name_desc, name_add1, name_add2, name_city
    from customer_table
    where cust_id = :cust_parm
This works in straight sql and in the query builder by prompting for the customer ID. When building a parameter using LOV or search, it doesn't seem to detect the variable.
    Thanks..
    DD

If you are using version 11g, then as soon as you save the query in the data model, it should notice the parameter and ask if you want to add the parameter to the data model. What version of BIP are you using?
What happens if you exclude the parameter from the query and simply hard-code the criteria? Can you generate XML data?
From your wording, it sounds like you're trying to create a parameter from the LOV dialog. LOVs and parameters are totally distinct. After each are created separately, then you configure the parameter to use the LOV.

  • Essential transfer parameters missing while GR into a HU managed Sloc.

    Hi Gurus,
I am doing GR into a HU managed storage location. I am expecting the system to create an inbound delivery & HU internally. But the error is
"Essential transfer parameters are missing in record: 45000XXXXX 000010       Message no. VL561".
in IMG-Shipping I have maintained "Assign Goods Receiving Points for Inbound Deliveries". I dont know whether Packing instruction determination is necessary for this, but I have done that also.
Please let me know where I am missing
    Nagesh

    Hi,
That's new for me. What is then the use of the inbound delivery if you do the GR on the PO with MIGO?
    Standard process:
    GR on PO through MIGO
GR on inbound delivery through VL32N or MIGO (or VL36/ BORGR).
Required for usage of inbound deliveries:
confirmation control key in the PO (defaulted through vendor) which requires an inbound delivery.

  • Parameters of LOV

    Dear All
i have LOV exist in AbcVO and i can pass Parameters to this LOV using View Criteria takes some bindings , and i can do this by putting the column name in the value field for every bindings for my current VO.
my question now, my value will come from another VO, how to pass anotherVO.column in the value field of the binding instead of column of my current VO?
    thanks
Edited by: Oracle ITself on Mar 14, 2011 7:29 AM

    Hi,
the expression below is defined on a bind variable used in a VC. It looks up the AM and a ViewObject instance defined therein. It then reads the DepartmentId from the current row
    adf.source.applicationModule.findViewObject('departmentsInLocation').currentRow.DepartmentId
The View Objects are not at all dependent.

  • Crystal Reports 2008 Stored Procedure and Parameters from LOVs

Quite simple report using stored procedure as data source. When editing some of the parameters we get this error when clicking OK to close "This stored procedure parameter can only accept multiple values. Please ensure that Allow Multiple Values is true."
As we all know stored procedure parameters do not access multiple values at all, so this message is very hard to debug. The report does work if we set the 'Allow Multiple Values' to true, but only when using exactly one value for the parameter. We have tried verify database and other things, but cannot find any way around this issue.
All ideas are appreciated as this is stopping us from utilizing the dynamic parameters.
    Thanks, Stig

We managed to work around the issue by creating a new stored procedure. First we used the same parameter names and changed the data source to the new stored procedure. After renaming the parameter with the issue the problem then was resolved.
Note that another parameter that was earlier affected by this issue in the way that it could not be edited and saved due to the same error message now also works fine. This even if this parameter has not changed names.
Quite a complex situation to debug this. Maybe if the source of the error message is found in the code we could help testing.

  • Create delivery in subcontracting - Essential transfer parameters missing

    Hi Guys,
This is my first thread - I hope I get everything right
From ME2O, stock monitoring for Vendor (subcontracting), I want to create a delivery to the vendor. After checking a material with a requirement and pressing "Create delivery" I get a box containing:
    Vendor:
    material:
    Plant:
    Shipping Point:
    Stor. location:
    Batch:
    Quantity:
All fields are predefined and filled except "Shipping point". It's grayed so I can't search/enter it manually. I have assigned a loading group to the material in the Material Master: Sales: General/Plant. So where does this (missing) value come from if not the loading group?
    Hoping for an answer
    /Thomas

    Hi Thomas,
The shipping pt has to maintained in customizing
spro>logistics execution> shipping>basic shipping fns>shipping pt and GR pt determination
maintain the shipping pt here for your plant and try again.
    Hope this helps
    regards

  • Component Inspector Parameters Missing

When I launch the Component Inspector for a Multiple Choice
Interaction, there are no parameters listed under the Parameter
tab. I am used to MX2004, where there was a table and I could fill
in all my values for questions, answers, etc. But now I'm in Flash
8 and that grid isn't there. When I click on the Parameter tab for
a Component Inspector it is a blank slate. Can anyone help? I'm
guessing there is some trick for me to see the fields that I could
so easily fill in with MX2004?
    Thanks,
    Lauren

Thanks. I expected such answer. But didn't expect Adobe made it silent. I hoped they at least explained something. And what component inspector panel does now? Nothing? Why then Adobe left it...   I remember good times with Macromedia...

    com.sap.aii.ibrep.core.cms.enableClTransport=true

    com.sap.aii.ibdir.core.cms.enableTransportWizard=true
I can NOT find these parameters in the exchange profile...... Strange
Does anybody knows this problem and can i find these parameters on another place... where
    cheers

ps we use version PI 2004S SR2

    Hi
    Did you check this blog>?
    /people/praveen.mayalur/blog/2007/05/31/configuration-of-cms-in-central-nwdi-sld-to-transport-xi-objects
Looks like you need to manually create that parameter

  • Batch job print parameters missing

I have 4 BATCH jobs that output to a pdf via MAIL. The data is shrunk so small that it cannot be read. If I am in SP01, and I try to reprint with changed parameters, only a select few formats are available. (All the ABAP/4 lists).
I went to SPAD -> Full Administration -> Device Types -> Choose the device type -> Formats
I see the the output DEVICE associated with MAIL is PDF1. I checked the formats that are already listed. It seems that some of these will suit my needs - however, most of them are not available to choose when I edit the batch job.
How can I add a different format? I need to test several to find a size that will accommodate a very wide table.
    All suggestions welcome.
    Thanks!

It's pretty huge. Columns A-W. The length varies, but this week's was 195 rows. I tried to create a new format, but I supposed it will never fit on a normal sheet of paper.
Is it possible to "print" to an Excel file from a batch job?
Right now, I am going back into SP01 and downloading to excel and emailing it out.
    Think this can be automated?
    Thanks for your input

  • RFC export parameters missing

    Hi all,
My scenario is SAP 4.6 RFC to XI 3.0 to SAP 4.6 RFC...I created function Z_SEND_PCARD_PAYMENTS in 4.6 with export and table parameters....Imported this into XI...Setup messages, interface mappings, etc...When I execute RFC (async) using dest XI and look at XML monitor....I see only my table parameters....My RFC export parameters do not show in the payload....
    Thanks,
    Wiley

    Hi,
    import parameters in the RFC
    are EXPORTING (not export)
    parameters in the calling program
    >>>Setup messages, interface mappings, etc...
did you define messages in XI for request RFC or response?
    (it should be for request)
EXPORTING parameters from your abap report are
import parameters in th RFC and these are request RFC messages in the XI repository
at least that's how it works for me:)
