Parameters prompting while opening webpage

i have created a crystal report in Crystal Reports 2008, and embedded this into a webpage using visual studio 2008. when i open the web page, it prompts for the parameters(start and end dates), but, by default it shows current date and time. i want this to show whatever date but time must be 12:00:00 or 00:00:00 by default. please help.

My safari is getting frozen and am getting the noise when its trying to consume more resources (just while opening webpages). The only process that was running is safari and its started using 99% of my CPU. Can someone please help?

i had the same problem after update.anyway its just permission problem on Safari directory.
1,     Open Terminal
2     sudo or login as root
3,     chmor 775 /Users/username/Library/Safari/ ( i did it, since i dont care about the permission on this directory)

How to avoid lo-gin prompt while check in the document and saving doc while opening the document?

I might be missing something to configure or verify but many times I have faced below situation :
When I click on document in document library either its just opens or first save to disc and open.
When I check in a document , its asking for credentials but sometimes doesn't
Can anyone please describe the reason behind above behaviors ? how to avoid saving doc while opening and lo-gin prompt while check in the document?

Safari loads 100% CPU while opening a webpage when working in cooperation with DeviceLock

I have Safari 5.0.5 and DeviceLock 7.1 installed on same computer running Windows XP x86.
When I confugure any network protocol settings in Devicelock (to make its network module active), Safari loads 100% CPU while opening any webpage, for example http://www.apple.com/startpage/
This issue doesn't occurs on other browsers - Internet Explorer, Firefox, so I assume the issue belongs to Safari, not to DeviceLock.

It may not be DeviceLock, or Windows. I see (via Activity Monitor) Safari use 100% CPU while loading a new page on my G5 iMac. Then it drops back again. It may be something to do with Safari 5.0.5

While opening certain webpages ,the cursor flicker and disappear eventually !

Web Analysis 9.3.1: Error occured while opening document. Document ID = {0}

Hi Experts,
I am having an issue while opening a web analysis dashboard report. When I try opening it, web analysis runs for about 15 mins & then throws following error:
Error occured while opening document. Document ID = {0}
The report opens with its header having company log & two buttons, but data grid remains empty.
The source of Grid is Essbase. The tunning parameters in Essbase.cfg file are in place.
Could anyone please through more observation on this issue. Let me know if any further information is needed!.

The isapi (if you use one) timeout setting might be smaller than the time essbase needs to retrieve te information.
but most probably the analysis applicationserver jre heapsize is either to small or needs to much time to allocate it. Be sure to increase heapsize and set max equal to min (try 800mb, if your hardware has that resource)

Whatz the source of your Grid? Relational SQL Query (OR) A spreadsheet with Essbase database connection file?
* Yes, the source is Essbase.*
If source is Essbase, it seems- Outline might've got altered when you're trying to refresh the report.
* The outline was in tandem when we tried running this report in WebAnalysis. This outline & WebAnalysis report which is in Dev Server is a replica of the one in Test Server where it runs fine. *
If source is based on a Relational SQL query, chances are that- Query is no longer valid.
* NA as this statement is NOT applicable to our source.*
If it's Essbase, it's also likely that- It ran out of time while fetching the data from Essbase. You may try playing around with the parameters in Essbase.cfg file.
* This might be one of the causes, but I double checked the all the tunning parameters in Essbase.cfg file in place.*
Could you please through more observation on this issue. Let me know if any further information is needed!.

I checked the UID and PWD under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFWARE\SAP\MSA\MW\secutiry for IDES DB and they are consistent with the ODBC parameters for IDES.

Hi All,
my issue is resolved. The problem with my issue was the missing entry in the table SMO_AUTH_SYS. I found the note 687679 and ran the report according to it. With that table SMO_AUTH_SYS was populated with the record. Later i was able to connect to AMT and gave the standard role SAP_AMT_USER and since then i am able to log into MSAA application and also MSY application
My issue is resolved. Thanks for everyone who tried to help me out.

Performance issue while opening the report

HI,
I am working BO XI R3.1.there is performance issue while opening the report in BO Solris Server but on window server it is compratively fast.
we have few reports which contains 5 fixed prompt 7 optional prompt.
out of 5 fixed prompt 3 prompt is static (it contains 3 -4 record only )which is coming from materlied view.
we have already use many thing for improve performance in report like-
1) Index Awareness
2) Aggregate Awareness
3) Array fatch size-250
3) Aray bind time -32767
4) Login time out -600
the issue is that before refresh opening the report iteslf taking time 1.30 min on BO solris server but same report taking time in BO window server 45 sec. even we import on others BO solris server it is taking same time as per old solris server(1.30 min).
when we close the trace in solris server than it is taking 1.15 sec time.it should not be intial phase it is not hitting more on database.so why it is taking that much time while opening the report.
could you please guide us where exectly problem is there and how we can improve performance for opening the report.In case the problem related to solris server so what would be and how can we rectify.

If this is happening with all the reports then this issue seems to be due to firewall or security settings of Solaris OS.
Please try to lower down the security level in solaris and test for the issue.

Error while opening report in pdf through OAF.

This is my first report through OAF and I followed a couple threads discussed on this but I am unable to debug this problem
Requirement - User clicks the image and is prompted to open/save pdf result file.It doesnt take any user parameters
Error is : I get prompted to open/save the pdf file . I click on Open or Save it and then Open, it gives me the following error :
'could not open because it either is not a supported file or because the file has been damaged(for example , it was sent as an email attachement and wasnt correctly decoded)'
Steps taken so far :
1. Created VO with query select a,b,c from Table A
2. Created a simple xml page, with a torch image : Set Action Type and Event property of the Torch Image Item to FireAction and GenerateReport
3. Wrote the code in CO and AM to get the data in XMLNode.
4. I did SOPs , copypasted the xml in notepad saved it as xml, loaded in MSWord and created a template.Viewing pdf generates a pdf here on this data
5. With "XML Publisher Administrator" Responsibility, I created Data Definition and Template Definition.
6. I deployed all the files on server and ran the report. It prompts me to open the pdf but it seems corrupted. In Jserv.log, xml gets printed through SOPs.
One thing I noticed is: <?xml version="1.0"?> is missing from xml.
please assist me , what am I missing here ?

Hi,
Basically the reason for this is that your "PDF file" is not populated with the correct pdf structure that Adobe recognizes (i.e. save the file and look at it in notepad, you'll see it's probably in html or a java stack trace). 2 reason's this happens
1.You do not have the necessary library files attached to your project i.e. for XMLPublisher you will need $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/fnd/* and $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/xdo/*. Zip these up and add them to your libraries section of your project.
2. Your XML Publisher properties are not configured correctly. (usually causes a blank file) To change this go to (E-Business Suite>XML Publisher Administrator>Administration>General>Temporary Directory). Depending on what your doing you will need to point this to either a server location or a local location. i.e. when uploading defintion/template and previewing it requires a server-side location to generate a temporary file for the preview, when running a jdeveloper project it will look for a local directory to generate the temporary file. If it cannot find the directory it will throw an error to System.out, and send the HttpServletResponse container a 0bytes file. For local development on a windows box I suggest setting the "Temporary Directory" to something like "C:\oracle" and ensure that folder exists.

Error while opening AME Approval Function

I am trying to open the AME "Approvals" Function in R12 Vision Instance and I am getting the following Error.
The requested URL /pls/VIS/OracleSSWA.Execute was not found on this server.
Seeded approval functionality for iRec is working fine.
I am logging in with a vision instance user only with a seeded responsibility "FED AME Application Administrator".
I checked the function details but could not make out any thing. Here are the function details

In R12 old AME functionality will not work. Old AME pages as in 11.5.10, AME.A are built using mod PL/SQL. But in R12 mod PL/SQL is not supported. In R12 all the AME pages are build using OA Framework now and using RBAC mechanism for assigning responsibilities.

While opening any workflow status monitor, we are getting below error. One of the hit says that have SSL setup recently, it need few steps to be performed and a patch to prevent below error.

Error while opening Apex on first install

HI All
I installed oracle 11g and configured apex on windows 7.
While opening the admin page*"http://localhost:8070/apex/apex_admin"* I am facing a window which is asking for user_id and password.
The prompt is "*_The server localhost requires a username and password*_".
I tried with admin user and password. but it is not working . I also tried with os userid and password. Can anyone tell what user id and password I need to give here.

I unlocked the Account anonymous and APEX_PUBLIC_USER. Now I am not geting the window asking for password but I am not geting the login page for admin. It shows page can not be displayed.
In Oracle 11g I think its not needed to install http server as there is "Embedded PL/SQL gateway" present. I don't have the http server installed. SO I dont have any conf entry. Is ther any such other files where I need to enter the COnfg for 11g.

I am connected to wifi, but can't open webpages or collect mail. I have tried to reconnect; to forget the network, all those things that should hepl. My phone and my computer recognize the network, the ipad doesn't. I mean I am connected and have a full scala of connection bows, but nothing happens.

You iPad recognizes the wifi signal, but is not connected.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
