Parcel Tracking in outbound delivery

Dear Experts,
in the outbound delivery . GOTO -> Header -> Parcel Tracking
How can i configure this parcel tracking ???
i want to set its status manual .... or how can the SAP will get the status of the parcel from for example DHL web site

Get Outbound delivery No. for Process Order

Hi,
I need to track <b>Outbound delivery number from process order number</b>. In Process order transaction (COR3) i couln't see delivery number anywhere. Also i tried querying LIPS table with order number , but this takes huge time .
I could see the process order number under 'financial processing' tab inside outbound delivery(VL03N) at item details level.
Any transaction or table where i could trace outbound delivery number from process order number directly?(<b>Table is preferred solution</b>).
Please guide.

hi,
just check out in ur system in TABLE LIKP
LIKP-TERNR ---> is ur order number for entry in AUFK
just cross check this with AUFK-AUFNR
the total sequence is
AUFK-AUFNR = LIKP-TERNR
= LIKP-VBELN
LIKP-VBELN IS UR DELIVERY .

Tracking transportation in delivery

Dear ABAPers,
Here's the problem:
A third party carrier like FEDEX sends in constant updates about our shipment referencing our delivery number via EDI214. I have to find a way to update this information ( Tracking Status, Tracking Text, etc) onto the delivery using an IDOC(delvry03). The information will be on GOTO->HEADER->PARCEL TRACKING on the delivery.
Has anyone done this before, please let me know.

In order to display tracking information in delivery->Parcel Tracking tab you need to configure carrier in VTRC transaction and set up Meta data fields.

Delivery status shows as fully packed, parcel tracking shows quantity as unpacked

I have a strange situation here. The delivery status shows as fully packed however when I go under the header-->Parcel tracking tab. I can see that there is material available under the unpacked bucket. Has anyone ever encountered this situation and perhaps resolved this? Please advice and thanks in advance!

TL/DR If your item has not arrived from Asia by 30 days after cleared payment, go to the Resolution Centre and open an Item Not Received Claim. If the seller cannot prove delivery, you will be refunded.

I wanted to use the associated data for parcel tracking like Tracking number, no of parcels ... etc.

Parcel tracking function is available in delivery document.
Delivery documen (VL02N) t--> GoTo --> Header --> Parcel Tracking.

Parcel tracking number

Dear friends,
We have requirement where we need to type in the parcel tracking number in the delivery note. At the moment we are writing it manually on the delivery note.
I have checked in VL02N and there is no field for this.We have thought of alternative like putting this number in text tab, but this would make it searcing process really difficult in case if we want to identify this particular parcel number and delivery related to this.
what could be an ideal solution.

Unpacking and empty a HU in outbound delivery

Hello,
I'm new with HU. In my company we want to evaluate the HU. So, we want to use the same HU since the process of production until process for sale to track every box. We are using the same # HU in the inbound and outboud deliveries in all process.
I have a problem when I try to empty and unpacking HU in a outbound delivery. I'm getting the following error: HUDIALOG107 "Within the delivery, posting change not possible for stocks".
When I pack the delivery for sale, I'm used the number of HU that previously was used for others deliveries: outbound delivery (NL) and inbound delivery (HID) with reference to a stock transport order (UB) to receive the product in the plant for sale.
How I could unpacking this HU??
And is correct to use the same #HU in all deliveries of different process??

What if I want to add something in the "Free Good Delivery Control"? Say Z....
If I press F4, the following values are coming as Search Help - _, A, B, C, E. E is the one which I want to modify....as it is making proportionate to the scheme.
Say if I maintain 10:1 exclusive scheme with Whole Unit..... then if I enter 20 in order 2 appears as Free. Now in Delivery if I change it to 19, the free goods becomes 1.900. But I want to make it 1. If the user changes it to 9, then it should be 0, i.e the line item should not exist...or if it is difficult I will give a error message that "Delete the free line item and then make changes"...
Any idea .... I will then sit with the ABAPer and make the necessary changes...

Create a cost center for customer and issue the goods with respect to this cost center in MB1A transaction using movement type 201.
Then all the issues will be tracked based on this cost center.

XSI: how to customise parcel tracking with dynamic URL

Hello,
is there anybody having a clue on how to implement the parcel tracking functionality in 4.6C ? actually it seems like there is no proper documentation available so I'm thankful for every hint!
In detail I would like to open a subscreen in -- delivery / header / parcel tracking -- showing me the tracking status of a delivery (should be button Internet parcel tracking).

Item level parcel Tracking with external carriers through AII

Hi folks,
I am new to AII and am trying to explore the possibilities with the tools at hand.
With flexible delivery processing, we have tight control over the goods statuses across customer and supplier. For example, EM would let the customer know that the goods left the warehouse and are on their way.
Suppose I would like to integrate this information with the parcel tracking service of external carriers. The web services and web based tools such carriers offer are surprisingly immature. Some "global" companies are not able to provide seamless information, every carrier has their own standard and some do not provide public interfaces which could be used for customer-level tracking in a useful way (eg requiring authentication credentials of the warehouse clerk requesting the delivery).
I am wondering whether AII could be enabled to orchestrate this information flow. If an appropriate EDI format would exist, the carriers could be requested to update AII on shipment item level with any new statuses through EDI. Now it's up to the supplier to present the information to the customer as need be. This would remove inconsistencies as mentioned above.
Does this sound like a viable idea, are there EDI messages available for the task at hand and do you know of companies having successfully implemented something like this?

You are right in assuming that I mixed up the purpose of AII and EM. This is about making EDI-based information accessible to all partners involved, and therefore a case for EM.
Probably it helps if I re-state my thoughts. The supplier sends an ASN to the goods recipient. Afterwards, the goods are transported by a logistics provider based on a transport order. Question is, how can the intermediate delivery statuses of the provider be captured and published? Web UIs of the Providers with a tracking URL seem a very unreliable way of doing it.
I figured that IDoc IFTSTA seems to be the correct form for this kind of information to flow back from the carrier to the supplier and from there to the recipient.
Does it seem to be a viable option to incorporate the carrier data into EM for tracking purposes?

L_TO_CONFIRM - parcel tracking data

I 'm using a scan transaction to scan a transfer order and confirm it.
Before confirming the Transfer order I can see the parcel tracking data in the delivery header but once I confirm the transfer
order using L_TO_CONFIRM I cannot find the parcel tracking data in the delivery header.
Any ideas appreciated.

If you specify of ERROR_MESSAGE in the exception list you can influence the message handling of function modules. Normally, you should only call messages in function modules using the MESSAGE ... RAISING statement. With ERROR_MESSAGE you can force the system to treat messages that are called without the RAISING option in a function module as follows:
Messages of classes S, I, and W are ignored (but written to the log in a background job).
Messages of classes E and A stop the function module as if the exception ERROR_MESSAGE had occurred (SY-SUBRC is set to <r E >).

Parcel tracking - cheating XSI

I was wondering if there's a way to use parcel tracking functionality without actually connecting to the express delivery company.
I went through all the posts found on this site as well as SAP manual for setting up XSI and parcel tracking. I've beentrying to fill VTRKH table manually with almost no success (i got a web page entered in field SIGNATURL displayed when trying to get into change mode on the parcel tracking tab). But still no tracking data displayed and can't change anything manually either.
We already use files provided by UPS containing shipping data and I'd like to combine it with the parcel tracking data display functionality in delivery.
Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Each parcel and its content is displayed correctly, but no tracking number is displayed, and there is no way to trigger a tracking (launching the tracking page of the carrier).
Have any of you successfully implemented this kind of XSI feature?

Check where outbound delivery is located

Dear all,
At present we keep completed Sales Order Deliveries in various locations around the factory and yard. Some Deliveries are even stored off site.
Could anyone tell me a way of warehouse managing these Deliveries through SAP, tells me where outbound deliveries are located.

Once we've packed goods into an Outbound Delivery, we'd like the ability to locate the actual delivery number, via SAP, into an SAP recognised valid storage location. Following that, we'd like to be able to re-locate the delivery into another location, from time to time, as and when our priorities change.
The absolute pinnacle of the above request would be if we could have the option too, of breaking the delivery down into the individual Handling Units and then be able to separate the delivery in such a way as that the HU's could be stored, as the occasion demands, separately.
At present, once the goods are packed into a delivery, we cannot track the location of the HU's. We just know that they are somewhere - either on site or stored offsite at one of two outside storage options.

XSI - Parcel Tracking

We are trying to implement SAP's XSI - functionality for tracking the inbound shipments.
Is SAP still suporting XSI (Express delivery Company)..We are in ECC 6.0.
which carriers support SAP's XSI functionality..can we integrate that with DHL, fedex, UPS or any other carriers.
Can I get any technical documentation from these carriers?
Please provide any information you know regarding XSI
