Parental Controls - Set up and added admin as controlled...

Now I can't do anything.
I was trying to set up parental controls for my daughter. I went to "Parental Controls" and clicked the lock.
Then I went to add an account and selected my admin account by mistake. Typed in the password and now my admin account is 'managed'. When I go to accounts to do anything, I can't unlock the lock as it's managed and I can't unlock Parental Controls, as it needs an admin password.
What's up with this and how do I fix it?

Luckily I did have another admin account. I couldn't remember the pasword, but was able to reset it via the install disk.
Perhaps this wouldn't have happened without another admin account? I'm not sure, but it was certainly NOT helpful to be allowed to lock the running admin / user out of admin status. That shouldn't happen.

well what you are saying is obvious to me. This is not the point for me and not what I wanted to know. But I think you answered my question anyway: OS X is unable to switch between windows of the same application as I mentioned in my example.
WHY NOT???
Every other OS is able to differentiate between windows and not just applications.
Another example: The Mail application and an Email editor window. When you are writing an Email and you want to switch to the main window of the Mail application to read something you must again use the mouse!
I mean Apple seems to be "somehow" using FreeBSD in the background and even in FreeBSD's window manager it is possible to switch between windows of the same application.
Well, in the Apple world it is always the pour user who is not intelligent enough to understand Apple's philosophy ;-(
To me this is not modern, it is simply a weakness of the OS.

Setting up and using an ActiveX control

Trying to use an ActiveX control I added to my CVI project. I use the ActiveX Controller Wizard to create an ActiveX control. Then I tried using one of the ActiveX control functions but it requires I get an Object Handle. The ActiveX Control Help says I can get the Object Handle by using GetObjHandleFromActiveXCtrl or an ActiveX method or property. I looked through all the functions my ActiveX control has and could not find anything that would get an Object Handle. The GetObjHandleFromActiveXCtrl function requires a panel handle which my project does not have or use. Any suggestions on what to do next?
The ActiveX control I am using is Mint Controls Build 5708 from ABB.

New in ActiveX controls...I cannot help to recreate examples like Media Player (which works perfectly on my PC).
Well I take the first method of"Programming with ActiveX Controls" topic:
From the Tools menu of any LabWindows/CVI window, select Create ActiveX Controller. When you run the wizard in this manner, you need to select the ActiveX server that corresponds to your control.
First I find two "Windows Media Player", which one ? Some trials lead me to the second one, where I retrieve functions names of the example (?).
Next window : I let Instrument Prefix as "MediaPlayer", I browse a target fp file as "wmp" in my project directory, let the default compatibility options.
Next window : I don't change any "Advanced Options", success...
I find a new intrument "Windows Media Player", and 5 files wmp.fp/c/h/sub/obj. OK.
But I want to see the control on a panel : I open my uir, go to "Create/ActiveX", select "create control".
But what about "Validate servers" check box ? Il let it unchecked.
I find "Windows Media Player" (only one) in the list, and the control appears on the panel, but the aspect is different from the example (some property changed?):

How do I invite or add my husband if I can't find them when I start to add them? I have read all of the articles for setting up family sharing and have not yet found the answer I am looking for. Windows 7 Control Panel Display and Intel Graphics Media Control Panel Constantly

I have a Nvidia NVS 5200 M running with Intel 4000 and Windows 7 on a Lenovo T430S.
Whenever I load the Control Panel -> Display settings, I can see options just fine, but I click on any of the drop down menus and they appear for a second, then immediately disappear (fast enough that I can't change settings).
There's a similar problem when I look in the Intel Graphics Media Control Panel. It constantly appears to be "loading" - the mouse icon turns into a little blue circle off an on, continuously. Similar thing with the settings, too - they appear and let me change them, but immediately return to the original setting. I can change them if I act SUPER quickly to make the change then click Apply. But 99/100 I'm not fast enough.
All drivers are up to date. I have no idea what to do (reinstall or uninstall this Intel Graphics control panel? How? Or somehow change a setting on my graphics card).
Please help!

Try uninstalling both drivers, then reinstalling them. Sometimes a clean driver update works better.

RoboSource Control 3 Explorer - Admin access and adding users

Just started in a department where users working with RoboHelp HTML 7 are connected to a Windows XP PC on which RoboSource Control 3 Explorer is being used for version control. The two guys who set up the system are no longer available. I have the login for one of them, but do not know if he was the Admin or a subadmin in RoboSource Control. When I go to Admin>User Library, I get the following screen.
- None of the users show any rights checked. - That's the first problem.
- Is there any way that I can determine if the login I'm using is the real Admin? Does the fact that I have access to the User Library tell me anything about this?
- When I try to add a user, I get the error message "Error - you have insufficient rights to perform this operation."
- I need to be able to add users and have Admin level control. If the login I have is from the actual Admin, then I might be okay. But if not, am I out of luck? If that's the case, is my only option to take the following steps?
   1. Have a user check out all the project files.
   2. Disassociate those files from the RoboSource Control machine. (There are hundred of topics in the project files.)
   3. Set up a new RoboSource Control with myself as the Admin.

Umm, I'm not sure if it's the same issue, but recently all user rights for every single user in the user library (including the admin) went missing much like yours. I know for a fact that my user profile had admin rights, but at that time, no rights were checked for any user. (The admin user will have, if I'm correct, all the rights selected).
I still don't know what caused the issue, but a simple restart of the server that hosts RoboSource Control was enough to restore permissions in our case. Maybe you could try that and see if the restart helps? Considering that the alternative is setting up a new RSC database, I would think it's worth a shot

ADF Web applications give error when parent is set to "orabpel"

i use the application server 10.1.3.1 of the SOA 10.1.3,
i try to deploy an ADF web application that uses the BPEL APIs,
in the server.xml, i set the application parent to 'orabpel',
when i start the application by launching the first jspx page i got the following error
that i found in the 'global-application.log':

i tried to set the application parent to 'default' again and added the bpel apis libs (bpm-services.jar, bpm-infra.jar and orabpel.jar) to the applib folder in j2ee/home and now all the adf web applications deployed to the server give the same error.
i have a normal web application with jsps pages (not jspx) with parent set to orabpel and it's working great.
please i am stuck on this it's been 2 days does anybody have any clue?

Firstly, let’s verify the followings:
Please create a new library at the site, then add three managed columns into it, test again, compare the result.
Whether this issue occurred in other sites with the same site collection.
Please test in another site collection, check if this issue occurs.
In addition, please make sure Managed Metadata web service is started in Mange services on server.
And also make sure the managed metadata service is connected to the web application that you used as CA->Application management->manage web application->your web application->Service Connections.

Issue with Creation of new entity and adding it to collection

LR_ENTITY_ACCT(Account details) is the parent node and that is populated using the query builder.
From there, I am trying to get realtion of notes section 'BuilNotesRel'). If it is not present, I am creating a new entity of that relation through parent node, setting attributes and saving it. I understand that I can set up a different Apple ID for the kids devices, or take physical control of the device and make the changes myself. However, my teenage son is technically savvy enough to have a job in Silicon Valley, as are most young people these days. However, in order to access his devices the current way, I first have to bypass the four digit pass code. This starts a fight of why I need in the device and continues to escalate. The argument that I am the parent will gain access but the fight is simply exhausting, and quite frankly shouldn't have to happen at all. He is not yet an adult, he did not pay for his iPad or iPhone and I, as a parent, should have not only have the right to change options at will, and from anywhere, but look at history or current activity when I feel like it.
I currently have the settings where app and in-app purchases require my password to be put in, and he must come to me to type it in, but I need more control and would like, and should be able to access any of our six devices and make individual changes simply by logging in to my account, with my password.
If I can see all my devices on the "Lost My iPhone" app, this technology should be easy to make happen.
C'mon parents! I have a pretty good kid, given all things that they can get into, but I am not stupid. For everything I see has been done, there is much more I haven't seen. I want my children to be kept safe and be able to know what they are looking at or listening to. We parents are the only ones who know our beliefs and what our kids can handle and when.

There are mobile device management solutions that can do this, including in Apple's OS X Server system, but most parents generally find that setting this up is more work than it's worth. I (my kids) are trying to use www.coolmath-games.com and when I have parental controls enabled and I do not give the ability to modify the dock the page comes up blank.
It doesn't matter how I have the web controls set (I said allow all just to be sure).
If I toggle on "allow user to modify the dock" the above page works. If I toggle it off, then the page doesn't work.
I *think* this page worked in Lion, but I don't know for sure. The kids just started complaining about it after I updated to mountain lion.
Any suggestions?

I am trying to purchase Gems in a game I am playing. And when I try to pay for it, something about apps parental control setting pops up? What am I doing wrong? I have my card issued and enough money on it???

In-App purchases have been disabled. If you want to re-enable in-app purchases, you need to change the setting.
It's a good idea to leave in-app purchases disabled. Some unscrupulous companies charge ridiculous amounts for in-app purchases. This often catches people by surprise.

I have 2 email addresses set up on my iphone 5, 1 can send mail and the other can't... have tried deleting and adding the account, no luck, have tried all suggestions... anyone help?

I have recently purchased the iphone 5S and have two AOL email accounts set up on it. They could both receive and send mail on the first day, but from the second day only 1 can send mail (both still receive). I get an message saying "Unable to send mail. A copy has been placed in your Outbox. Sending the message content to the server failed." This has been the response now for 3 days and suddenly this morning, I was able to send an email from this account, but only the one and now it's back to that same message. I have deleted and added the account again, using various methods. I even reset my phone and set it all up again from beginning with no luck. It is very frustrating and I am unsure why I can't send from both accounts, especially being that they are the same provider. I have read forums and it appears many have this same problem and I wondered if anyone has had it recently on this phone and how they fixed it. Someone said just use the AOL app to send from this account, yes that can be done, but it's inconvenient having to sign in all the time when i have a mail app that should work automatically. Any suggestions would be welcomed!!

I am not sure if this issue is going to help you but lets give it a try.
I know that where im from, which is the Netherlands, I am not able to sent e-mails from my iPhone or any other mobile device by using 3G or a random WIFI acces point. The provider only allowes you to sent e-mails when you are connected to a network of there own. Which means if you have provider "101" and your email settings are set up for this provider in your iPhone but your using the network of a friend of yours which is provider "202" you cannot sent emails from his network. Though you can receive them you may not sent.
As I said, I am not aware if this issue is the same for you totaly depents on the country and provider your using.
