Parse Failed: Invalid Definition (UNV0023)

I have a universe based on a BEx query. The BEx query uses formula variables as filters which the users must enter values for when running the report. If I build a report in WEBI based on this universe I get no issues. The filter variables prompt comes up whenever I refresh. However, if I parse the filter object in Universe Designer I get the following error:
Parse Failed: Invalid Definition (UNV0023)
The WHERE statement for this filter is:
<OPERATOR VALUE="AND"><OPTIONAL><FILTER KEY="[!V000003]">
<CONDITION OPERATORCONDITION="Equal">
<CONSTANT CAPTION="@Prompt('Percentage Commission to Manager (%)','N',,mono,free,,{10})"/>
</CONDITION></FILTER></OPTIONAL><OPERATOR VALUE="AND">
<FILTER KEY="[!V000002]"><CONDITION OPERATORCONDITION="Equal">
<CONSTANT CAPTION="@Prompt('Dual Rate','N',,mono,free,,{6})"/>
</CONDITION></FILTER><FILTER KEY="[!V000001]"><CONDITION OPERATORCONDITION="Equal">
<CONSTANT CAPTION="@Prompt('Single Rate','N',,mono,free,,{3})"/></CONDITION>
</FILTER></OPERATOR></OPERATOR>
Here you can see we have three variables, V000001, V000002 and V000003, which have default values and will prompt the WEBI users with the following texts:
'Percentage Commission to Manager (%)'
'Dual Rate'
'Single Rate'
Can I ignore this or is there a better way to define the filter?

Hi,
You have added default values in @Prompt: default values and static values must always be enclosed with single quote even if the data type is numeric.
<OPERATOR VALUE="AND">
<OPTIONAL>
<FILTER KEY="[!V000003]">
<CONDITION OPERATORCONDITION="Equal">
<CONSTANT CAPTION="@Prompt('Percentage Commission to Manager (%)','N',,mono,free,,{'10'})"/>
</CONDITION>
</FILTER>
</OPTIONAL>
</OPERATOR>
<OPERATOR VALUE="AND">

<FILTER KEY="[!V000002]">
<CONDITION OPERATORCONDITION="Equal">
<CONSTANT CAPTION="@Prompt('Dual Fuel Rate','N',,mono,free,,{'6'})"/>
</CONDITION>
</FILTER>
</OPTIONAL>
</OPERATOR>
<OPERATOR VALUE="AND">

Hi,
You may want to look at the samples provided on the Web Services Developer's Guide.
see "Examples of Web Service Clients that use DII".
As the WSDL does have a schema import, the issue may be in accessing the document "EdgeClientCallback.xsd" - you may want to verify that the expected schema can be found on the URL you are using for your WSDL, when you manually place the schema name on the right context root.
Hope it helps,
Eric

Did you copy that sample from some demo?
The part "<XML Path>" is meant to be replaced by a real XPath fragment.
Here, I think you may just want this :

During Error Message some clients were facing outage. But now error is not recieved again. I want to know root cause of this error message which i canot find on cisco website.
WLC Controller Model is AIR-WLC2106
Software Version                 7.0.235.0
Up Time 199 days, 11 hours, 2 minutes
Jawad

UDP 5247 is the CAPWAP/LWAPP control protocol. The protocol packets obviously must have been corrupted and that is why the Controller could not interprete messages from the AP. The only resolution is to either use the Cisco bug toolkit and search if it is a bug perculiar to 2106 WLC or you open a TAC support case.
I would suggest that you hold off till the error occurs again. If it does, swap the AP and if it continues, open a TAC case.
Cheers

• DOM Parser fails with regular expression using anchor (carat, dollar)

I'm using version "Oracle XDK Java 9.0.4.0.0 Production"
In trying to parse XML against schema: a regular expression fails to parse the data "8:00" with the following simple regular expression: "^.*$" (used to narrow the error)
The error message is
<Line 14, Column 25>: XSD-2025: (Error) Invalid text '8:00' in element: 'XYZ'
If I remove the anchors and just have ".*", the data is parsed successfully.
I dont understand why the parse fails when I use a anchors in the regular expression, and the java Pattern/Matcher classes succeed with the anchors?

That "ns670" string is an xml namespace prefix. it should have a corresponding xml namespace declaration somewhere in the xml document (i'm guessing you have not shown the whole document). the actual value of an xml namespace prefix is meaningless. if you parse the xml with a namespace aware DOM parser, it should generate Nodes with the correct namespace. the namespace is the value you care about when extracting data from the document, not the namespace prefix.
alternately, if you parse the document using a namespace aware DOM parser, you can just look for nodes based on their "local" name (the part after the ":" separator) and ignore the namespace/prefix.
whatever you do, please do not parse the xml with a regex, see this http://stackoverflow.com/a/1732454/552759 for details (applies to xml as well).

Ifeel miserable after trying out all the options changed multiple sims, tried multiple carriers, restored the phone back and have set-up as new device but the problem does not get solved... its is so frustrating that after investing on a world's most expensive phone you cannot enjoy the calling features which the phone offers which is the main thing you own the phone for.. Rest of the things are working.. The funniest part I am not able to make calls or receive calls but can access the internet.. I have tried every possible thing and really very frustrated with this iphone of mine...I hope the problem gets solved.. would anyone have any solutions to this problem.. Does it mean one should never update software as I hear that after updating to IOS.5.1 the problem has started coming and same has been with there.... Apple says its a hardware failure which is very difficult to digest as sometimes I get 5 bars and able to make and receive calls but 95% of the time I am unable to. If anyone has any solution I will be very happy if he or share can share the same. Many thanks. its so disgusting to experience this on top of this apple does not support global warranty for the phone as you need to go to the country from where you bought the phone for replacement.. Truly sad state of affairs.. very very very dissappointing.

Have a look at this it might help

• Parse failed: Exception DBD, The supplied XML is not valid[Measures].[SAP_OBJECT_NAME] State:N/A error for hidden KFs when migrated to HANA

Hi All
Please help me with the following query. We are migrating SAP BW 7.4 on Oracle to HANA. We have few WEBI report's universes built on BEx queries. In one of those reports there are some hidden RKFs, these works perfectly fine in reports based on oracle. Now we migrated to HANA in development system and when i refresh the universe structure they started giving errors like "Parse failed: Exception DBD, The supplied XML is not valid[Measures].[SAP_OBJECT_NAME] State:N/A". The object giving this error is in hidden state. I tried to unhide it and run the report then it runs fine but that not the client want as there might be so many hidden KFs in other reports also. BO version is 4.1 SP 2. We are on SAPKW74006 support package on BW side. Is there any notes to correct this error. Please pass me the relevant links. Highly appreciate your help.
Thanks

DCA-40012: The Web Service call failed. A connection to the target Web Service could not be created.
First of all test the web service you have created in model project. Right click the web service name and select "Test WebService". If you see any issue(s) while testing fix it first before you run the jspx page.
Check the port number in the URL and connections.xml, it have to be same.

Hi,
Please give a try to this:(Take back up before doing this)
1. Download PATCH 11066656 .
2. Go to your JDEV_HOME/jdeveloper/soa/modules/oracle.soa.bpel_11.1.1/
and make a backup copy of orabpel.jar.
3. Copy the file orabpel.jar from patch 11066656 to JDEV_HOME/jdeveloper/soa/modules/oracle.soa.bpel_11.1.1/.
4. Restart JDeveloper.
5. Now the project should compile without the SCAC error.
This was fixed in 11.7 but since you are getting SCAC so asked the above action plan.
If it did not resolves see below steps:
=============================================================
File will be there but a class is missing which might cause this.
If you have same soa version 11.1.1.7.0 can you check that fabricruntime.jar from soa home and jdev home size is same?
In soa home it will be under Oracle_SOA/soa/modules directory.
If size is not same replace jdev fabricruntime.jar from soa home.
Also can you confirm on:
Please let me know whether you are able to deploy from EM or getting same error during deployment also? or from ant script.

• XML Parser error Invalid Char

When using proxy to download data from ECC to XI -- XML parser throws this error --

Is there are setting to handle such hexadecimal charaters?
Right now the option is to use java code to scan this XML document for such char's and replace with space before message mapping....I am eager to know a better solution .Thanks

Hi,
Did you ever get an answer to this question?
I'm seeing a similar issue where ECC is sending an invalid character 0x13 in an XML message. I would have expected the adapter to encode this properly in an XML document.
Isn't this basic, foundational stuff? It's preparing and sending an invalid XML document.
What am I missing and/or what is ECC missing?

• XML parser fails to convert html encoded text nodes

Under the strain of large documents this defect rears its ugly head more often. While parsing a text node containing html encoded chars i.e. < > &; etc...
The parser will seemingly forget to change the chars at random, 99.9% of the time everything is ok and the proper conversions take place:
< -> <
> -> >
&; -> &
Once an error occurs it is reproducible until the text node is changed ( values and/or order ) then it is a crapshoot again.
These tests were done using the default UTF-8 encoding, here is the exception thrown by the parser along with a portion of the text node before and after the first parsing.
Let me be clear, the parser actually succeeds the first time but the transformation of the HTML encoded pieces possibly fails. It is on the parsing of the text node value as its own document that the parser fails.
