Part I creation

Question

PART 1 is not generated , once  the GIN / MIGO , is posted with no excise invoice tab.
The following are the details step followed
1. MIGO is done with no excise tab.
2. J1IEX is executed with Capture Excise Invoice selection against the MIGO document no.
3. All the detials such as Excise Invoice , its date is given , it picks up all the excise related amount from the PO assigned,
4. It allows to save the  document from J1IEX , but the PART I entry is shown as N.A
   Because of this we cannot post ie. cannot create the PART II.
Any solutions ???

Hi AVS,
SAP system creates Part1 entries automatically if
1)  Excise ID are created at first step & reference to the ID is given at the time of GRN creation ( If  you are following MB01 )
2) In case of MIGO if you declare material type as "C" or " "(blank for raw material) then if you refer vendor Excise invoice no. etc i.e. if you are using with excise reference then only system automatically cretaes Part1 entries in the background.
In your case if you are not providing excise invoice reference system does not "triggers" event of Part1 creation since it requires Excise ID to be linbked with GRN to enable posting of Part2.
Thats why if you use without excise reference in MIGO you will have to use J1I5 for additional part1 creation once J1IEX is over to create Part1.
