Part of a frame sees to print but I can tell from which object
Strange thing happening here:
In ID3 CS3, the business card I am doing appears perfect. However, when I print it, there is a small portion of what looks to be a frame (the lower left corner) that prints and you can see the lines (very faint but there;

I have tried printing each layer (fast draft) and it does not appear. Only when I print all layers in BEST mode does it appear.
I have magnified the objects but still can not see it on the screen.
I dont think it is the printer as I print the back of the card and the frame does not print.
Any thoughts?

A suggestion. My colleague at the other desk just now had a similar issue. He placed three images alongside eachother, with different (original) resolutions. On export and on print he noticed the top and bottom edges of the images did not align. I scratched my head, checked his preferences, and suggested not to "Crop Image Data to Frames". Just a hunch -- if the image data is cropped, all ID can use to 'round' is to use
i entire
pixels. Not cropping the image means ID now has to use a mask, which can cover
i part of
the pixels. He was amazed; it worked perfectly.

Bonjour sees my printer but won't let me connect to it.
We've got a canon mp460 hooked up via USB to our mac mini which runs 10.5. I installed bonjour on my new laptop, which runs vista. The printer wizard SEES the printer, but when I try to connect to it I get a message that says "You do not have sufficient access to your computer to connect to the selected printer"
I've turned off all the firewalls, enabled printer sharing, and everything else I can think of. Any thoughts?*I got it to work after the Bonjour Printer Wizard proved ineffective.*
Here is what I did:
1. Installed the iP4500 printer driver from CD (v 2.11) while the printer was connected to my WinXP machine with a USB cable.
2. Reconnected printer to AEBS and restarted AEBS.
3. Select 'Add a new printer' in Windows
4. Select 'Local Printer' in the dialog box (auto detect and install
should be off), click next.
5. Choose 'Create a new port' and "Standard TCP/IP Port'. Click next.
6. For the printer IP address, enter the address of the base station 10.0.1.1.
*7. Set Port Number: 9103*
- The one time the Bonjour Print Wizard saw my iP4500 and set it up, it append '9103' to the location name. I assumed it selected port 9103. After trying ports 9100, 9101, and 9102 (which all failed to work), I successfully connected with port 9103. Oddly, the Bonjour port still does not work.
8. Click next.
9. For the device type, choose 'Canon iP4500 series', then click Finish.
10. Choose your printer from the list and follow the rest of the prompts to install and configure the driver.
*It now prints color duplex from my WinXP machine across the wireless network.*

I want to play video on my computer to make some analysis to it's frames,the problem that I face ,I can't change video frame rate using labview,but I can change frame rate to the video out of labview using some program .

I looked into this further, and reading an AVI file into LabVIEW faster than its frames per second won't be possible. LabVIEW could read in frames faster than 25fps, but because it will be pulling the available frame at that point in time this would just give you duplicate frames. If you want to be able to read in frames at faster than 25fps, you would need to speed up your AVI file before reading into LabVIEW.
There's a good shipping example to show how to read in from an AVI file, "Read AVI File.vi". You'll notice that they add timing to make sure that the while loop runs at the right speed to match up with the frames per second of the file being read. This is to make sure you're not reading duplicate frames.

Also, sometimes, if you shoot an image with a radically different background than what you end up putting the subject in front of digitally, reflections in hair highlights and shading can make it seem unnatural. In those cases you really have no choice but to alter the subject subtly to make it "blend" better into the scene - e.g., with the Burn and Dodge tools.
People might make more specific suggestions if you'll put up an image (or even part of one) showing what you're working with.

My computer broke and I got it fixed. It doesn't say that the hard-drive was replaced, but I can tell my data is gone, including Pages that I bought. Is there any way of getting that without paying for it again?
Or if you purchased Pages as part of iWork on a disk, reinstall from the same disk.

You can only use the Messages app with other iOS users. It does not send SMS text messages. You need to use a third party texting app if you want to text with non iOS users.

Place the iPod in a sealed container with a desiccant for a week. Uncooked rice works. Change the desiccant every day or so for a week.

I believe there is no "Export to Tape" feature as appeared in legacy FCP.

We have two Ipad2's 64gb wifi in the house, one prints wirelessly the other no results even though it sees the printer, any thoughts, also while recently overseas the IPad having print difficulties also had wifi connection issues although no problems at home, any thoughts?

In case the printing problem is related to the WiFi problem, try resetting your iPad's WiFi network. Go to Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings. You will probably need to reconnect the iPad to your WiFi.
It is also possible that there is a print job hung up in the Print Queue. Double click the iPad's Home button and a row of recent Apps will line up along the bottom of the screen. Scroll across and look for the Print Queue.

I have Mac OSX Mavericks installed. My printer is an HP PSC 1315xi (this is what's written on the printer) All in One printer/scanner. When I use it as a printer, it functions perfectly. When I attempt to use it as a scanner, however, it fails to work. If I press scan on the printer, the power light on the printer flashes, indicating, according to HP, a communication error. When I attempt to scan through image capture or preview, it tells me that there is no scanner detected, or simply disallows the ability to click the "import from scanner" button, depending on which I program I use. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software a few times, but still have not reached a solution. On Apple's list of driver software, the 1310 series of HP PSC printers only has the print capability listed. Scan and Fax are not listed. This confuses me because my printer is a 1310 series, but is clearly a scanner. Is it just the case that I am unable to use my scanner as a scanner? If so, why? It's not a new scanner and it seems absurd that the software wouldn't exist which would allow me to use my HP scanner for the tasks it was built to perform. Apologies, I've been messing with it all day, and I'm frustrated with the whole situation.
The list you saw that shows what drivers are available from Apple Software Update is based on what drivers are supplied by the vendor to Apple. So it would appear that HP has not provided Apple with a scanner driver for 10.9 (known as an ICA driver), or provided an update if one was available for a previous version of OS X, so that you can scan from Image Capture.
I checked the HP web site for your model and they don't show any scanner driver or scanning software. If there was a scanner driver, you would be able to use Vuescan.
As for the Scan button not working, the following is documented by HP
Scanning to the computer from the printer control panel is not available when you scan with Preview, Image Capture, or Printer browser methods. You must use HP Scan software to scan from the printer.
But there does not appear to be any version of HP Scan software available for 10.9. So unless someone else has some workaround, it seems that you won't be able to scan with this model of HP. -
I just got a macbook air and I cannot print on my home printer which is networked through my wife's window based computer. I can see the wifi network, I can see the printer, it is set as my default, but I can't print.
Any ideas?You may have to visit the printer manufacturer's web site and look into their support pages to get a print driver for your Mac, and install it. Or see if you can see if a driver may already be in your Mac by checking settings, since there are many drivers already installed in Mac OS X.
