Part of my hotspot Wi-fi password is missing

I am unable to connect WI-FI on my I-PHONE because part of my hotspot password is missing. I would like to know how it could be recovered.

Try deleting the link and then recreate .
I have found that despite a setting looking  correct removing and recreating often makes it work
.....don't ask why ..............
or try the troubleshooting

  • Is there a way to remove the Personal Hotspot Wi-Fi password?

I've recently spoken with an Apple Customer Service rep, and from our exchange, he told me there's absolutely no way to remove the password once you've set something in.
Insofar with my research, the only way you can have a P.Hotspot without a password is if you never placed one at all. After you've placed one, it's either you change it to something else, or you stay with the old one you've made.
I'm posting this question here for anyone who might have an answer for me. While I could entertain the idea of a Jailbreak just to remove that password (or in a more extreme case, restore my iPhone and just re-sync the contents, effectively losing my text messages and whatnot), I'd prefer a more hassle-free method. That is, unless Apple decides to integrate it into their next firmware update.
I'm currently running on a White iPhone 5S, FW 8.1.2

When you set up the iPhone initially, there is a default password. You can change that. But the box is never blank So, even if you were to restore the phone as new, there would be a password.
Why do you want to not have a password? Perhaps if you explained your situation, someone could offer some alternative suggestions.

  • Ocactl start Error:Password store missing.

    Hi All
I need to apply patch 9.0.4.2 to an OracleAS 9.0.4 installation. But it seems to have Oracle Certificate Authority installed. my problem is that the OCA password is missing or maybe there is an installation error.
when i try to start OCA with ocatl i get the following message
    Error: Password store missing
Since i have to install the 9.0.4.2 path i don´t know if there´s any problem with this issue
    any help would be appreciated

I am working on a second server, updating the port number for the Infrastructure repository from the default port 1521 to a different one. I am following the instructions in http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/core.1012/b13995/ports.htm#i1035175 and I am getting the same error.
I do not have that ocmpassword.p12 file either, but the funny part is that I don't have this file either on our production server and I have already made this identicle change following these exact steps. I even typed up the step by step instructions for what I used and did in a text file!
That is the strange part. It worked before on another EXACTLY IDENTICAL server. The only thing that is different is the hostname. I kid you not.
Any other reasons, could be getting this error. I am stuck at this point.
    Thank you,
    Tony

  • When opening email on Iphone 5 keeps saying password is missing for icloud account? I have checked and triple checked all account details and I can access icloud on all other devices

New iphone 5: whenever I check my email, as it's checking the icloud account it keeps popping up "Password is Missing". I have checked al my account details and I am inputing everything right and can access icloud on other devices. I've rebooted my iphone and still no go - any suggestions?

You have to do the following to get your new Apple/iCloud ID signed onto your device:
    1.     Go to Manage your Apple ID and change your Apple ID back to the old email address (do not verify it - this is temporary):
    Apple - My Apple ID
    2.     Go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and Delete the iCloud account. Use your current Apple ID password when asked. Follow the prompts to delete the account
    3.     Go back into Manage your Apple ID and change your Apple ID back to your new email address (you may need to verify it again)
    4.     Go back to Settings>iCloud and sign onto iCloud with your new Apple ID. Turn on the options you want sync'd with iCloud, give it a little time to push the info down to your device.

  • Personal hotspot wi-fi password

I was just browsing the settings on my iPhone and noticed when I went into Personal Hotspot that there was already a wi-fi password entered/set-up. I didn't set this up and I was just wondering if the iPhone generates this password itself or if it already comes on the iPhone?

It generates a password itself, this is the password you need to enter on another device after selecting the phone as the access point.

  • Acrobat Pro installed as part of CS3 - asks for Admin password at launch

Installed CS3 whilst logged in as Admin, for a Leopard rollout.
All apps in the Suite work except Acrobat Pro, which asks for an Admin password every time it is launched. I have Googled this and tried all suggestions from the simple 'Fix permissions' to editing the ''AcroENUPro80SelfHeal.xml'' and ''RdrENU90SelfHeal.xml''.
Nothing as yet fixes this issue
As a last resort and with no real believe that it will work, I am re installing CS3 again under Admin rights and running every app in the Suite first before adding to the new image. I am sure that when I installed the first time I ran all updates and launched every app in the suite.
    Cheers
    Phil

Ran all updaters, on 3 Macs. All stil continue to ask for Admin name and password.
Googling around this seems to be an ongoing issue with Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Reader.
    Cheers

  • Personal hotspot in iphone 4 is missing

i updated my iphone IOS from 4.3.2 to 4.3.3 then my personal hotspot was missing... can someone help me..

Enabling Personal Hotspot for 1st Time
Click on Setting > General > Network
The items available are Enable 3G, Cellular Data, VPN and Wi-Fi. If Cellular Data is OFF, you won't be able to see Personal Hotspot option.
Turn Cellular Data ON and the Personal Hotspot item will be displayed and status show as Off
    Open Personal Hotspot item.
Change your Password and turn Personal Hotspot ON and you're good to go. I tried with iPhone3 but only Bluetooth and USB options are available and if you on iPhone4, additional Wi-Fi option is available (correct me if I am wrong )
iPhone will displays numbers of active connection to your Personal Hotspot, hence you can ensure only you accessing thru it.
Fyi, if Cellular Data is turned ON (step 3), Personal Hotspot option will be available on Main Setting.
    Hope this help
    p.s. I am using iPhone4 running on 4.3.3

  • Agent password utility missing for Novell downloads

I'm in the middle of trying to get a Novell Messenger 2.2 system up and running. As part of my troubleshooting I wanted to change the user and password in the startup.ma file. I very quickly found the documentation on how to do this here (I'm running a windows system btw...):
    Novell Documentation
I went to my Novell messanger install source and it has the ...\utility\nmpwd directory, but it's empty. The nmpwd.exe utlity isn't there. I then tried redownloading Novell Messenger 2.2 and several older version, and all had the same issue.... an empty "nmpwd" directory.
    Hey Novell, what gives?!?!?

  • Acrobat 9 Pro Confirm Password textbox missing

I have a rather bizarre problem. I am using Acrobat Pro 9 and creating a digital signature.
I fill out the forms and the last screen has a password textbox. It is supposed to also have a confirm password textbox, but it is missing.
So I can't complete the digital sig.
    Any ideas?

I located the profiles in the program folders. I imported one of them and it repopulated the list with all of them.

  • Firefox suddenly out of wack - now passwords are missing

I went on vacation for 2 weeks. Upon return:
    1. Firefox would not go to the preset home page. It simply showed a blank page.
    2. It would not auto-fill passwords, or ask for the master password.
The latter was not a huge problem, since the passwords were stored.
NOW, they've all disappeared! I hope they're in a file in my profile, and I simply need to re-point to that file. Right? Right? Because that is the ONLY record of most of those. It goes back years.
In general and in summary - wtf, Mozilla?
PS: This page is telling me I have Firefox 10.0! About Firefox says 35.0.1! ?????

Are you still using that same profile folder or has there been a new profile created?
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
Firefox 32 and later builds store the passwords in the logins.json file in the profile folder and no longer use the signons.sqlite file that has been used before (the matching key3.db file is still needed).
If you still have the signons.sqlite file used in previous Firefox versions then you can try to force Firefox to migrate passwords saved in this file (you will lose passwords saved in logins.json by Firefox 32+ versions).
You can force Firefox to reimport the passwords from the signons.sqlite file and rebuild the logins.json file with these steps:
    * reset the <b>signon.importedFromSqlite</b> pref on the <b>about:config</b> page to the default value via the right-click context menu
    * delete the <b>logins.json</b> file in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed
When you restart Firefox then you should have the signon.importedFromSqlite pref with the value set to true and you should have the passwords imported in the Password Manager unless there may have been errors.
If that didn't help then remove or rename the logins.json and the signons.sqlite and possibly the key3.db files to force Firefox to create new files.

  • Password key missing from Registry

    Hi,
    I have a 3rd party application running in Windows2008 Server-Std SP2
where on each time this apps launched, It will read/update the registry file
which contains below info. This setting is required for a remote DB connection.
On each connection the password field will go missing from registry config which
requires need registry the regedit manually again. We have been running this
apps for a long time Windows 2000 & Windows2003 for a very long time.
Need help on how resolve this issue in W2008Srv
    Registry
    Config
    HKLocalMachine ->Software
    ->AppsName
    Provider=MSDAORA.1;Password=abc;User ID=abc;Data
    Source=www
    * Missing password param on each connection

Not sure how reliable this workaround would be however, worth giving a try
You can use Group Policy Preferences to push the registry keys
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753092.aspx
Here's an nice article with snapshots on usage of Group Policy Preferences to configure registry item
http://www.unidesk.com/blog/gpos-set-custom-registry-entries-virtual-desktops-disabling-machine-password ( the example mentioned in
the article is irrelevant, use the method to configure/push desired registry item)

  • Why is part of the right side of my page missing on most web sites?

I can't explain it any more percise

Sorry, but we need more information here to help you. Could you explain what you mean with "my page"? Is this a homepage you have created yourself? Or are you talking about any web site viewed in Firefox?
When you say part of the side is missing, do you mean you have to scroll to the right to see it all on the screen, or do you mean something else?
With a little more info, or perhaps even a screenshot, we should be able to help you.

  • Alert saying SMPT (outgoing) password is missing - but it's not!

I have a POP mail acccount on the iPhone that uses a password for both receiving & sending mail.
Since I upgraded to 3GS and OS to 3.0.1, I can no longer send mail on this account.
When I try, I get an alert saying that I need to enter a password for the SMPT server in settings- but there's one there already.
I've tried re-entering the password and restarting the phone- neither worked.
Is this a known issue? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Just worked it out - the SMPT port had switched to 110 since the phone and OS change - while it should have stayed as 25.
Bizarre that it changed - and even more bizarre that this problem was interpreted as a lack of password!
    Anyhow, it's all sorted.

  • Login problem - password box missing

Usually when our computer was not used for some time at the idle mode, the screen display a password box so that we can type in our password and we can continue with our work.
In my case, instead of typing the password, i click on one button beside it and then a few times with the computer start up power button .
This caused my computer to have a shutdown.
Now each time i switch on my computer, the screen does not display the password box in the centre of the screen. Instead only the VISTA window logo at the bottom. I press the power shutdown button longer, it display some messages saying the VISTA windows operating system was not shutdown properly and has to restart normally or in safe mode.
Each time I choose the option of starting the operating system normally, it will ask me to wait and after that , it is still blank with the vista logo and no fill in password box as we normally has each time we start up.
Help. I do not want to lose all my data in hard disk by formating again..

    Hi
Sounds like that something has muddled up the Windows registry...
Can you boot in safe mode? Does this work?
I think in this case you dont have many options and I think reinstalling Windows would be only option in this case
Or you search a little bit with Google
