Part of screen is zoomed in

Part of the iPad I own is zoomed in. the whole screen is normal, except for the top right corner which is zoomed in slightly. I have no idea how to fix it, I have tried zooming in on just the corner and the entire screen to no avail. I would really appreciate any help I can get because I have no idea what's wrong.

It sounds like you have window zoom turned on. Double tap the screen with three fingers to turn it off. Also you can tap the bottom of the window to bring the menu up then slide the slider switch to the left to turn it off.

  • HT204379 Why does my screen saver "zoom" in on photos from my iPhoto?  Can I stop it from doing this?

I've recently moved up to Mtn Lion on a new MacBook Pro.
I finally figure out how to connect my iPhoto images with my screen saver (the way I alswyas did on previous Macs).
But the weird thing is that the Screen Saver zooms in on the photos!  Sometime choosing a very uninteresting part of the photo to suddenly enlarge on my screen!
What gives with that?  Can I stop it from doing this?  It's like cropping my originals - many of which I have already cropped ...
Appreciate any help that you can give on this.

The only fix here is to find a third-party screen saver that supports the behavior you want. Apple has adjusted its screen saver options over the years, and the latest ones are what you see in the system preferences.
The only way to change these behaviors is to hack the screen savers. The effects descriptions and some of the behaviors have settings in this folder:
    /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Slideshows.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Cont ent
There may be a way to modify one of those settings to prevent the zooming for the given set of screen savers (or at least one of them), but I would not recommend modifying these files arbitrarily as you might break something (or at least make sure you have a full and restorable backup you can access before doing so). There are a couple of known modifications to them that can adjust some behaviors, but image zooming isnt one I know of.

  • My screen suddenly zooms too big w/o me touching anything.  Please help. I recently "upgraded" to Mountain Lion on my iMac

My screen suddenly zooms too big without me touching anything (i.e. mouse or keyboard).  I can't reduce it.  Part of the menu reappears when I click at the very top, but I can't even get the red-yellow-green buttons to show.  I recently "upgraded" to mountain lion.  Did not have this problem in the past.  My settings appear to be correct.  Any suggestions?

Hi, have you tried setting a different rez in thje Disply Pref Pane of System Prefs?
Do those things show if you Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup)?

  • IPad constantly glitching/freezing/crashing/parts of screen unresponsive - time for a factory reset OR a trip to the Apple store???

iPad constantly glitching/freezing/crashing/parts of screen unresponsive - time for a factory reset OR a trip to the Apple store???
My son has nothing but problems with his iPad Mini.  It is less than a year old and it constantly freezes/crashes/glitches and parts of the screen are unresponsive.  This happens while playing games, watching movies, surfing the net etc etc
The iPad has been in a heavy duty Survivor case from day 1 and has been very well taken care of - so I don't think it's a damage issue
I have tried numerous resets (just holding the 2 buttons) and have disabled every feature on the iPad that might be causing memory/RAM issues (?)  all to no avail.
I haven't tried resetting to factory settings as I don't want to lose all the data on the iPad (mostly his game achievements and Minecraft maps that he has worked so hard on!!!)
    SO - any suggestions:
    1) Take it in to the Apple Store - I have never gone to Apple over an issue, is this possibly covered by warranty???
    2) Factory Reset - If I do this can I save all his game achievements/data???
    Cheers,
    Todd

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

  • IPhone home screen is zoomed in and will not zoom out. How do I get it back to normal?

My iPhone 6 home screen is zoomed in and will not return to normal, How do I get it back to normal?

If that did not work, then try triple-tapping the home button. If that does not work, then double-tap 3 fingers and hold on the screen, dragging to change the zoom level. If you need to move the screen around to be able to access something to get the device unlocked, then use 3 fingers to drag the screen around after trying to change the zoom level.

  • Screen has zoomed in and will not zoom out

Suddenly my screen has zoomed itself in to max zoom and the screen no longer responds to my touches to zoom it back out. I can manage to make the screen wiggle a little left or right, but not up or down. I tried to manually reset the phone (sleep/home button pressed for 10 seconds) and now the unlock screen is zoomed in so far I cannot access the 'slide to unlock' feature. This is a "4" and is about two weeks old.
How can I get my screen zoomed back out so I can at least unlock the phone to answer calls?

iphone frozen in a mega zoomed state?
Same thing happened to my iphone 4. I could not unlock or even see any portion of the screen except the last number in the time, and it was about the size of the full screen!
If the three finger double tap is not working for you like it did not work for me,
    Try this...
1.)perform a hard reset--hold the home button and the sleep button (bottom and top buttons) until you see a silver apple.
2.)wait till the screen comes back to life and see if is working again, if not connect your iphone to your computer and itunes.
3.)right click on the name of the iphone and select "transfer purchases"
4.)once transfered click the restore button in itunes
    5.)chose back up
6.)once it is restored and it asks to restore as new or restore from back up JUST DISCONNECT YOUR IPHONE by ejecting it normally
7.)Check to see if your screen is unfrozen and back to working use, this will show if you had a software problem or a content problem. If it doesn't work it is most likely a hardware problem and you need to take the iphone to a apple retailer for repair, I was told by a rep from apple it would be free.
8.)if it does work normally simply plug it back into itunes and click restore from back up.
This worked for me when no other solution worked, and it was fairly simple just took about 30 minutes to complete.
    Good Luck!

  • My screen has zoomed too large to enter my passcode and is now disabled from attempts

home screen is zoomed too large enter my passcode and is now disabled from attempts

You may also be able to double tap the screen with three fingers to reset the zoom to normal.  I'm not sure if that is still a feature but on my 3GS it works. Try connecting your phone to iTunes for the lockout.

  • MacBook Pro Screen Suddenly "Zoomed In"

I've got a two year old MacBook Pro running 10.6.8.
About five minutes ago, while I was using a four-finger trackpad shortcut, the screen suddenly zoomed in about a half inch or so.  Now, everything is just slightly lower resolution and my screen is too small to show everything.  For example, the date and time in the upper right corner is halfway off the side of the screen.  All my desktop icons are slightly larger.
I don't know anything about setting screen resolutions, but I found the display preference and its set for the max  1680x1050.  (Seems I remember this once going up to 1080, but maybe I'm mistaken.)
Regardless, my screen is now looking goofy.  How do I get it back?  And what might I have done to cause this?  I don't remember hitting any errant keys of commands, other than using four fingers on the trackpad for a certain function.
    -JOHN

    control+two-finger-up/down
From my System Preferences > Trackpad (Screen zoom line):

  • Camera - I cannot get the bar across the bottom of the screen to zoom in or out

Camera - I cannot get the bar across the bottom of the screen to zoom in.  When I touch the screen the white box appears but then just diaapperars.  Can aomeone hlep with this.

Did you hit the keypad option?

  • Fill screen with zoom for small photo sizes (as in slideshow)?

Front facing iPhone 4S camera sized photos are too small in iPhoto. Is it possible to set a default to fill screen with zoom for all photo sizes (as in slideshow)? Seems like the old iPhoto worked like this.

That's what I was afraid of!  I wish it would still scale photos to fill the window also if they're smaller  than the window size (not just 100%), like it used to in older versions of iPhoto. Especially irritating, since the problem photos are from an Apple product, the front facing camera of the iPhone4s.  I already added my complaint to "feedback".
    Thanks anyway.

  • Screen is zoomed, magnified. How do I turn this OFF?????

HELP! Our daughter pushed SOME button on the keyboard of our Macbook Pro --now the entire screen is zoomed, magnified. It moves around w/ the cursor. How do I turn this function OFF?????

The keyboard shortcut to activate Zoom is Option+Command+8. Or open System Preferences>Universal Access>Seeing and select Off.
To prevent this being accidentally activated in the future go to System Preferences>Keyboard>KeyboardShortcuts>Universal Access and uncheck all the boxes.
