Part of the screen turns black

Hi, I have a Lenovo x240 with Windows 7 professional. I am very happy with it except that, around 30% of the time when it wakes up from a sleep or a hibernate, about a fifth of the screen on the right turns black. To turn it back on, I have to do Function F7 to put the output to duplicate or extend, where the entire screen is normal again, and then put it back to "computer only" to restore the resolution. That resolves the issue of the black screen, but it becomes annoying over time. I have installed the latest Lenovo graphics driver updates. That seemed to improve the situation, because before installing the updates, it happened around 50% of the time. I have also tested if the screen is responsive when it is black. It is responsive during this state, and it seems to be a display problem, and not a hardware problem. Has anyone encountered this issue?

As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with Display half blank not working on your ThinkPad X240.
Please check with uninstalling the graphic driver from control panel –program & feature option.
Boot the system into safe mode and check it once.
Please let us know the findings once you have performed the above steps.

Sounds like the battery is shot and in need of a replacement. You can have Apple replace the battery for a flat fee or you can send it into a third party repair center for a bit less.
Not much else you can do for troubleshooting this one.

Try closing the Camera app:
1. Double-click the Home button to reveal the Task Bar
2. Hold down the Camera app for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close app
4. Tap area above Task Bar to return to Home screen
If the above doesn't solve the problem, do a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider

You need to plug the iPad into your computer that has iTunes installed on it, and activate it.

Complain to the Attorney General about what? There is nothing in your story worth any such complaint. They will tell you the same.
First you have payment difficulty so credit and the Edge program are not available to you. You have to be credit worthy to get any upgrade, unless you can pay full price for all those new devices.

You are trying to get new contract plans, but since you are having paying on time and in full issues you will not get extended credit from any carrier.
What I would do is go and port out to Boost or Virgin Mobile where you pay a reduced cost for each device and get unlimited everything for $40 to $50 a month, it is pre pay so if you don't pay you get cut off.
Verizon although with the best coverage is also the highest priced.

I encountered the problem recently when attempting to view documents from a financial institution.

I can't log into my YouTube account and each time I try the screen turns black, says "connection not trusted" and doesn't allow me the option to add exception like it normally does when I recieve this message trying to log into a website.

I just got new ATT dsl internet service. Now, when I try and log into my YouTube account and numerous other websites, instead of logging me in, the screen turns black with a message displayed saying, "connection not trusted." On most sites, it will give me the option to either, "get me out of here" or "I understand the risks, allow exception." I bought an iPhone 5 in New York last December. Now I live in Bogotá, Colombia and I can't find an authorized service center because they said that only if I bought it from a local carrier they attend the warranty.
My iPhone 5 screen is flickering randomly, the phone freezes and the screen turns black… The only way to make it work is to reboot with Home and Lock buttons pressed at the same time. But in the process most of the times it flickers again, and again, and again. I couldn't find a reason to identify what could be causing the issue. Also sometimes when it freezes, some group applications get ungrouped, causing a big mess.
I already tried to restore the phone, remove the SIM, delete all applications with no luck.
Any sugestion? Thanks!

Was this phone ever jalbroken?
If restoring as new, without using a backup, didn't help, there is certainly a hardware problem that only replacement can fix. Your warranty is void unless you return to the USA. Short of that, finding a local independent iPhone repair center would be your only option

During the minutes needed looking for help, I decided to put the magnetic cover on the screen again, and I connected the iPad to the charger. Whe I did uncover the iPad now for a try with your tip (hold sleep and home buttons for about 10 seconds), it came to life again.

However, from your discription, I suspect that something is broken. Maybe a dead battery. In that case. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and see what they say.

Logic Pro 9.6.1 - the screen turns black?

The screen turns black where the curser has been, when I record or playback in Logic pro 9.6.1.
My system on my Mac book pro 13' is OS X 10.9.6 - and it accour in all my session. Does anyone have a clue?

For Logic 9 to work in Mavericks (OS 10.9.x) Your Logic app needs to be updated to the latest which is 9.1.8 (I think you have a typo in your original post and your current version is 9.1.6).
You can do this update through Software Update, or the App Store under Purchases or Updates and is free.
Your Logic will the not have this graphical Bug.

Try reset
Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Note: You will not lose any data
If no joy, restore backup using iTunes.
Finally last attempt, rsetore as new and sync content back manually.
