Part paying of tracks then skipping to next

My iPod has started misbehaving - it plays about 30 seconds or so of a track and then jumps to the next track. This repeats itself so I don't get more than about 1 minute of each track playing. I've tried reseting my iPod and redownloading my iTunes library onto it, but it's still doing it. SO frustrating. Any ideas why or how I can solve the problem? My iPod isn't even a year old yet...!!! All thoughts will be much appreciated.

I upgraded to a 160 from a 30 Gig iPod exactly a week ago. I am having the same problem. The songs will play correctly in iTunes. I have gone the 5 R's route, reloaded songs, downloaded the latest software, did a restore. Still plays a few seconds of some songs, then goes to the next song in line. Very annoying. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Some songs play up to a point, then skips to next

hallo - since i updated itunes, some of the songs in my library plays up to a point, and then skips to the next track. in itunes it shows the the whole song is there, and when moving beyond the skip point with the seek slider, it plays.. its like the song has been cut in half.. is there anyone who has the same problem or knows what causes this? ive tried activating start and stop times in the info palette - to no avail..

I have the same problem. I have seen several other people dealing with the same issue yet Apple has yet to deliver any answer...ridiculous. Kinda like the sync issue with Windows 7 64bit.. a sea of problems but not a fix in sight... maybe its time for a ZUNE....

Well I bought the Bring Me The Horizon album There Is A **** Believe Me I've Seen It, There Is A Heaven Let's Keep It A Secret on my iPhone and it synced to iTunes on my laptop. The entire album was downloading however when the first song was starting download it displayed an error message and I quickly pressed okay and disregarded it. The rest of the album resumed download and completed. I then went up to the download button next to the search input in the upper right hand corner and finished download for the rest of the song. When I went to listen to the album I was in a minute into the first song, "Crucify Me," and it skipped to the second song in the album, "It Never Ends." I tried playing it over and opening and re-opening iTunes but it still persists to skip the first song a minute in... so it appears to be a partial download. I mean, I have the album downloaded on my iPhone (this was the original site of purchase and download) but currently I am not in a state to do anything with that because my USB cable broke so my phone's been dead for the past few days and I'm waiting until tomorrow to get one with my father, I'm just a 14 year old girl afterall. I need a quick fix for this error and soon, preferably one without needing my iPhone because I want to listen to this album tonight and make sure it's all in order (and so I know what to do for future reference in case this happens again.) Please let me know your suggestions on resolving this issue. - Taylor
P.S. I've inserted a picture of what my iTunes looks like just in case it might help, which I doubt, but it might. Also please don't judge the Blood On The Dance Floor albums... I went through a phase that involved **** music.

Song downloaded from iTunes plays fine in iTunes, but only first 15 seconds will play on iPod then skips to next song?

Songs that I download from iTunes play ok in iTunes. On iPod classic though, SOME (but not ALL) of these downloaded songs will only play for 15 seconds or so before it skips to the next song. It is random in that some songs off the same album will do this, but others not. Any ideas?

Try this Hard Reset
After charging till full charge, at least 2 hours (preferably 4 hours)
Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the next step
Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs till the Apple Logo comes ON
Then release the buttons
Select your preferred language.
Test the sound again.

If these songs are in MP3 format, google and download MP3 Validator and run through songs in the library.

Songs Play for 4-5 seconds then skip to next in Win 7 64 bit

I installed a clean version of windows 7 64 bit then itunes 9. Songs are able to be imported but only play for 4-5 seconds then will skip straight to the next song and again and again...
Is anyone else having this problem or know of how to fix it?

Itunes plays song for 10 seconds then skips to next song and so on....

I recently acquired a macbook (love it). However I have one issue, I imported all my music off my windows formatted ipod, and then formatted my Ipod for Mac. Everything plays fine, however I have one major issue. Some (not all) of the songs in itunes play for about 10 seconds and then jump to the next song. if I skip ahead past this 10 second barrier, the song plays fine . This happens on my itunes as well as my ipod.
Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated

One song plays less thah half way through, then skips to next song.

One song only plays partially before skipping to the next song. I say one song because of the 10,000+ songs on my iPod, only this one song appears to have this problem. It was purchased as part of an album from the iTunes music store. It plays fine on iTunes and appears to be the same size, time and file-wise. I've tried removing it from the iTunes play list and reimporting it, resyncing my iPod following each step. That didn't help.
Has anybody encountered this or have a solution?

Printing part of a group then repeating on next page

How do I stop a group from partially printing on one page when it can't fit on that page, then printing again on the next page. What is happening is if the whole group cannot print on a page, when the next page prints, it resets back to the beginning of the group and reprints the whole group. I would like for it to partially print on one page, then finish on the next page OR not print partially at all and wait to start on the next page.

It is good practice to set the 'Page Protect' property rather than the maximum records per page. Page protect will account for different output scenerios (think about it, your client screen may fit 30 records on one page where somebody running a pII 266 with a terrible graphics card may only see 20 as their DPI and pixels settings inevitably are different). The amount of rows on a page are determined by a number of factors, including OS and graphics card settings. Maximum records per page will not account for this and could lead to potential layout problems.

I just downloaded and updated the newest version of iTunes. After updating I downloaded some new music and synced the iPod. The music doesn't play. It'll play about 30 seconds of the song and then skip automatically to the next song. I restarted the iPod. I restored it. It still didn't work. Then I tried listening to the music from my laptop straight from iTunes...and it's still doing it.
How do I fix it?

I'm assuming the tracks that won't play copy/are displayed with exclamation marks. This happens if the files are no longer where iTunes expects to find them. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

Either this needs to get fixed or i will request my money back because i will not work for my money while other lie about what i spend it on.

Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

i downloaded Korn the path of totality and the first 4 songs work the next 4-5 just plays 10-12 seconds of the song then skips to the next the last 4 songs seems to work. Also i downloaded Tyga- carless world and each song shows up twice on my iphone and it only plays a couple of the songs, it wont play some and skips to others ones it seems random, but it plays fine on my itunes on my computer.

Other people have been having similar problems with songs over a number of days.
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link.
