Partial assembly of BOM being sent out as subcontracting

Dear All,
Please provide solution to the below given business process
Load Body (sub assembly) comprises of 51 component, once the scanning is done for the load body there is automatic consuption of the compnents through movement type 261 with tcode MFBF.
Now in the actual scenarion in the line partial assembly is done with 23 components and then it is sent to outside vendor (just like subcontracting) to do some quality testing and after testing when it comes back the balance component aare fitted and the scanning is done to product the load body.
Till now the business process of sending the partial assembly to outside is not configure,the contrain is that the existing BOM cannot be changed

I think the question is whether you want to map the stock and material flow or not.
1. If not, you can simply create a new routing where you put in the subcontracting operation (using the proper control key - PP02 in standard system).
This would be simple, however, you won't have information on stock level in the system.

2. If you want to have information on stock and material flow I think you have to solve this via purchasing.
Steps:
2a) You have to have a part number (let's say materialA) for the SFG that contains the 23 parts and issue PrdOrd for this
2b) You have to have a part number for the purchased part (that is produced by your sucpntractor, let's say materialB). You need:
- BOM, where header is materialB, children part is materialA (if there are other components to be provided to the vendor you have to insert them in this BOM as well)
- you need subcontracting info record
- you have to send out the components (materialA) to your subcontractor (e.g. MB1B+541 /w and w/o PO reference, ME2O)
- you receive the goods produced by your subcontractor in MIGO with reference to the PO - materialB will be received by mvt 101, materialA (and other components) will be consumed by mvt 543.
2c) You have to create a BOM for your final assembly process where components are materialB and other components, header material is the "load body", you have to have routing, work center (and maybe production version - based on your scenario). So, this last step goes through PrdOrd as normally.
