Partial display of OUI - Sun OS 10

Hi all!
I've got a problem with the OUI and the Display settings when trying to install Oracle 10.2.0.1 on Sun OS 10. The screen of OUI shows only partially, and the x-window is super-wide.
I've gone through alle the requirement tests successfully and the xclock utility shows perfectly when loging in with oracle user. I might add that I'm using Cygwin X as a console to log on to my server.
When starting runInstaller I get all passes on the installer requirements. Though I get an warning stating; " Warning: Cannot convert string "-monotype-arial-regular-r-normal---140---p--iso8859-15" to type FontStruct".
Then the window with the screen of OUI opens but only shows partially. The normal background is replaced with a dark grey one.
Does anyone know how to correctly configure Xorg or is this a problem relating to Cygwin?
Thanks!

Hi Heyers
Is it possible to resize the window ?
Can you try with Xming for exemple? What is the result then?

  • Picture files only partially display after being published

    Recently .jpg and .png pictures I have created only partially display after being published.  I've tested it using Paint, Publisher and Gimp with mixed results. The pictures display correctly when I view them locally on my pc.
    Here are the test pictures I made in each program:
    http://www.bgchamber.net/images/GimpTest.jpg
    http://www.bgchamber.net/images/PublisherTest.jpg
    http://www.bgchamber.net/images/PaintTest.jpg
    The only pictures that fully display are those that were taken from a camera, but after I resized one in paint, it also didn't display properly. My question really is, is this an issue with Microsoft Expression Web or with the server hosting the files?

    Publisher is NOT a photo editing program. Neither is Word. Nor is Paint.
    You need a real, and simple, photo editing program. Paint.NET is a good, free one. I find GIMP cumbersome (but it's batch processing is handy). And your graphics aren't being created and saved properly. For example, the events.html page has graphics on it
    that total well over 3 MegaBytes! Pity the poor soul with a wireless connection. The graphics on the events.html page are largely illegible, and as such serve no real purpose (and make the site look bad).
    Let's take an example...on the home page gallery is a graphic for the 2015 Chamber Scholarship. It's displayed at 525 x 340 pixels, yet the image sitting on the server (and which must be downloaded by the visitor) is 1275 x 825 pixels. So you have an unnecessarily
    large graphic taking space on the server, having to download to the visitor's computer at full size, and then be shrunk by the browser to only 17% of the original area. That file should be created and saved in a proper graphics program at the final size you
    plan to use (and in this case, use PNG format). The larger file takes at least 5 times the storage space on the server as a properly sized file (and takes 5 times as long to download and upload).
    I've superimposed the display size on top of the full size and shrunk them down to display here in the forum. See below.
    All the graphics that I have checked on your site have the same problem, and if your site has been up a long time and you haven't cleaned out the old files on the server, you may have run out of server space, which would corrupt the new files.
    Smaller files will also upload faster and more reliably. Plus--browsers stink at resizing graphics. Do that in a proper graphics program to get the best quality.
    Use JPG for photos, GIF for hard-edge graphics with few colors and no gradations/shading, and PGN for hard-edge graphics with full color and gradations/shading. And make sure you are saving the images in the proper version of the format (RGB for web).

  • Partial display of large Alert message - SAP CRM 2007.

    Hi,
    I am using SAP CRM 2007.
    I created a simple alert with 150 char message in IC which will be triggered on confirmation of an account.
    The alert gets displayed on the IC agent screen but he can only see partial message of the alert.
    Only the message that can come in the first line gets displayed. There is no option to scroll to see the remaining message.
    Please suggest how can user see the complete alert message. Can the alert text area be controlled by some customization?

    Hi Antonio.
    I'm wondering if/how you resolved this issue.  I am currently facing the same problem on an upgrade to EHP1 for CRM 7.

  • Strange display behavior - partial display of text

    I scanned this forum and couldn't find this one anywhere -- My 15" Titanium Powerbook screen just went crazy after installing the latest security update.
    By crazy, I mean that major portions of the menu bar aren't there now (but the screen isn't black, the text is just partially missing. If I open system preferences the same thing happens -- some of the text is just missing.
    I ran repair permissions and check disk from the install cd. Had lots of permissions errors but that didn't fix this problem. Sound like software versus hardware?
    Any ideas before I reinstall the OS?

    Reset the PRAM (hold Apple, Option, P and R keys during start-up. Once you've heard the fifth startup chime in a row let go and allow the machine to boot as normal.
    Check that the Zoom option in System Preferences > Universal Access isn't enabled (I can't remember the keystrokes off the top of my head but you wouldn't be the first to hit them by accident.)

  • JFrame With Two JTables Accessing Database;  Last Table Partial Display

    I have an application that calls a JFrame in a database application. The JFrame contains a number of panels, two of which are dedicated to JTables.
    The first JTable,upon completion of a resultset, displays master records for the application. Immediately upon completion, the second JTable should be displaying details related to the selected master (on first retrieval, the second Jtable should reflect details related to the first displayed record in the first JTable).
    The first JTable displays correctly. The second only displays one record, even though thru inserted System.out.println statements, I can track the number of rows that should be there.
    The first JTable fills and then calls a function filldetl(). This is the code:
    +
    private void filldetl() {
    try
    details.setRowCount(0);
    Statement t = conn.createStatement();
    ResultSet dt; // for look up
    dt = t.executeQuery("select sku,skuqty,skuunit,value," +
    "skucurrency,skuorigin,htc from rcvrdtl " +
    "WHERE invoiceno = '" + +invno< </em>
    "' ORDER BY invoiceno;");
    dd = dt.getMetaData();
    *int< </strong>columnct = dd.getColumnCount();
    System.+out+.println("Columns found = " + String.+valueOf+(columnct));
    // Set up variable dbrowcount to find number of rows in resultset.
    int dbrowcount = 0;
    while *true*==dt.next()) {
    dbrowcount++;
    rowx = *new< </strong>Vector(columnct);
    datax = new Vector();
    for *int< </strong>x = 1; x <= columnct; x++) {
    rowx.addElement(dt.getObject(x));
    datax.addElement(rowx);
    int rowNumx = dt.getRow();
    System.+out+.println("Rows Found = " + String.+valueOf+(dbrowcount));
    System.+out+.println("Located At Row " + String.+valueOf+(rowNumx));
    for *int< </strong>x = 0; x < datax.size(); x++) {
    details.addRow((Vector)datax.elementAt(x));
    jTable1.revalidate();
    jTable1.setRowSelectionInterval(0,0);
    catch (Exception et) {
    System.+out+.println(et.getMessage());
    et.printStackTrace();
    +
    Can anyone tell me why I am only getting one record displayed in the second JTable, even though there are more? the variable dbrowcount keeps track of how many detail records there should be. And I have verified the counts by checking records in the database.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Any help appreciated....
    Thanks
    VazCro

    This is the code as it should be. I don't know why it was trashed:
         private void filldetl() {
              try {
                   details.setRowCount(0);

                        "WHERE invoiceno = '" + invno +

                   dd = dt.getMetaData();
                   int columnct = dd.getColumnCount();
                   System.out.println("Columns found = " + String.valueOf(columnct));
                   // Set up variable dbrowcount to find number of rows in resultset.
                   int dbrowcount = 0;
                   while (true==dt.next()) {
                        dbrowcount++;
                        rowx = new Vector(columnct);
                        datax = new Vector();
                        for (int x = 1; x <= columnct; x++) {
                             rowx.addElement(dt.getObject(x));
                        datax.addElement(rowx);
                   int rowNumx = dt.getRow();
                   System.out.println("Rows Found = " + String.valueOf(dbrowcount));
                   System.out.println("Located At Row " + String.valueOf(rowNumx));
                   for (int x = 0; x < datax.size(); x++) {
                        details.addRow((Vector)datax.elementAt(x));
              jTable1.revalidate();
                   jTable1.setRowSelectionInterval(0,0);
              catch (Exception et) {
                   System.out.println(et.getMessage());
                   et.printStackTrace();
    I am calculating how many records were found for the second JTable and going thru the routines to load the second JTable. However, only one record appears.

  • Photos from iPhoto are only partially displayed

    Trying to create a slideshow of photos from an Album in iPhoto '08. No need for other layout elements, just want the photos. When I drag a photo from the iPhoto Album into Keynote, it appears as a new slide (using light table view) as expected. But only part of the photo appears. If I go into the individual slide I can select the photo and use the corner handles to resize it to be smaller than the slide. But there are 236 photos I need to put into this show! How can I get Keynote to put each whole photo on the slide? I don't care if they aren't the same shape as the slide and there is empty space left, I just want the whole photo! I tried going into Preferences and checking "Reduced placed images to fit on slides" but that doesn't make any difference. It IS checked and the photos still don't fit. All photos are JPG's.

    There's a bug in iMovie 6 that applies a red tint when importing BMP images — those with the .bmp extension. It occurs only when importing with the Ken Burns checkbox turned ON.
    Save the BMP image as a JPEG before importing to iMovie and all should be fine.
    iPhoto lets you Export the photo to another copy that uses the JPEG format.

  • Displaying the path of the file selected by a FileChooser in a TextField

    I'm just getting started with Swing. I developed a simple dialog box that has two text fields and two buttons. The objective is to open two files using those two buttons. I used FileChooser to select the files. Now, I want to display the path of the selected files in their corresponding TextFields. I use the following code to do that.
    final FileChooser fc1 = new FileChooser();
    final FileChooser fc2 = new FileChooser();
    final TextField tf1 = new TextField();
    final TextField tf2 = new TextField();
    private void button1ActionPerformed(ActionEvent evt)
                int returnVal1 = fc1.showOpenDialog(labelPhpFile);
                if (returnVal1 == JFileChooser.APPROVE_OPTION)
                    File file1 = fc1.getSelectedFile();
                    String fileName1 = file1.getName();
                    String filePath1 = file1.getPath();
                    tf1.setText(filePath1);
    private void button2ActionPerformed(ActionEvent evt)
                int returnVal2 = fc2.showOpenDialog(labelPhpFile);
                if (returnVal2 == JFileChooser.APPROVE_OPTION)
                    File file2 = fc2.getSelectedFile();
                    String fileName2 = file2.getName();
                    String filePath2 = file2.getPath();
                    tf2.setText(filePath2);
    }The above code works fine only for the first file. Mean the path of the file selected using fc1 is getting displayed in the tf1 TextField. But, the file selected using fc2 is not getting displayed tf2 TextField. Please help me.
    Thank you :)

    HI!
    Even I was facing this problem. You just set your DISPALY variable after switching to oracle user from root(# su - oracle). After seeing this $ prompt set this variable. $ DISPLAY=<your IP address of local Machine:0.0>; export DISPLAY. Actual command is $ DISPLAY=10.0.0.1:0.0; export DISPLAY then run runInstaller script from your CDROM or DVD mount point.
    Hope this solution may help you.

    Hi I was wandering if anyone can help
    I'm running TTA Enterprise 3.40.911 on SuSe Linx 8 enterprise server.
    Intel Linux Kernal 2.4+
    The problem I'm having is that I'm having problems displaying the object
    manager.
    The web top show that it is running but I'm not getting a display. I have
    tried from a client pc and from the server itself.
    I have also tried using the native client, this has the same problem.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance

  • Abstract classes and methods with dollar.decimal not displaying correctly

    Hi, I'm working on a homework assignment and need a little help. I have two classes, 1 abstract class, 1 extends class and 1 program file. When I run the program file, it executes properly, but the stored values are not displaying correctly. I'm trying to get them to display in the dollar format, but it's leaving off the last 0. Can someone please offer some assistance. Here's what I did.
    File 1
    public abstract class Customer//Using the abstract class for the customer info
    private String name;//customer name
    private String acctNo;//customer account number
    private int branchNumber;//The bank branch number
    //The constructor accepts as arguments the name, acctNo, and branchNumber
    public Customer(String n, String acct, int b)
        name = n;
        acctNo = acct;
        branchNumber = b;
    //toString method
    public String toString()
    String str;
        str = "Name: " + name + "\nAccount Number: " + acctNo + "\nBranch Number: " + branchNumber;
        return str;
    //Using the abstract method for the getCurrentBalance class
    public abstract double getCurrentBalance();
    }file 2
    public class AccountTrans extends Customer //
        private final double

    h5. Formatting Matters
    * Post your code between a pair of &#123;code} tags
        - That is: &#123;code} ... your code goes here ... &#123;code}
        - This makes your code easier to read by preserving whitespace and highlighting java syntax.
        - Copy&paste your source code directly from your editor. The forum editor basically sucks.
        - The forums tabwidth is 8, as per [the java coding conventions|http://java.sun.com/docs/codeconv/].
          - Indents will go jagged if your tabwidth!=8 and you've mixed tabs and spaces.
          - Indentation is essential to following program code.
          - Long lines (say > 132 chars) should be wrapped.
    * Post your error messages between a pair of &#123;code} tags:
        - That is: &#123;code} ... errors here ... &#123;code}
        - OR: &#91;pre]&#123;noformat} ... errors here ... &#123;noformat}&#91;/pre]
        - To make it easier for us to find, Mark the erroneous line(s) in your source-code. For example:
            System.out.println("Your momma!); // <<<< ERROR 1
        - Note that error messages are rendered basically useless if the code has been
          modified AT ALL since the error message was produced.

    * The forum editor has a "Preview" pane. Use it.
        - If you're new around here you'll probably find the "Rich Text" view is easier to use.

  • Some Language fonts no longer display correctly

    I have a few language fonts, specifically Russian and Church Slavonic, which I have been using for years without any problem. They still partially display correctly, but there are some characters which display a different character now. For instance, in the Church Slavonic font, there are many characters with diacritical markings, where those accents etc. are typed after the character and backed up over the character. They are not displaying correctly anymore. Plain Russian fonts as well have certain characters that aren't even recognized now. I am using PopChar Pro, and though they display correctly in its list, when I click on them, the wrong character is display in the text. Does this have something to do with Unicode? I use these fonts mostly in MS Word and Finale.
    Thanks for any help on this topic.
    Sima

    Yes, it is true that these fonts do not display
    correctly in Finale.
    Last I checked Finale could not do Unicode, so it may be another problem. If it can do Unicode, you should be able to use Lucida Grande and the Russian keyboard layout. If not, you should be able to use a font with CY after the name with the Russian keyboard. You might want to ask in the Finale forums:
    http://forum.makemusic.com/
    Is there any sort of application
    that can fix old fonts to be Unicode compatible?
    It would be very complex I think and require an expensive font editing program like FontLab.
    On another note, are you aware of whether Unicode
    includes Church Slavonic (I suppose it would be in
    the same category as Old Slavonic)?
    Yes, it does. Just look at the Cyrillic block in Character Palette. Or here:
    http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U0400.pdf
    However you won't find all glyph variations -- that will depend on the font. For an example of Slavonic Unicode you can see the last item on this page:
