Partial payment in Accounts payable

Hi,
I have entered 100000 INR invoice for a vendor and the terms relating to cash discount are within 10 days 3% and within 20 days 2% and 30 days net amount. So I have paid 30000 INR as partial payment. Is the 3% cash discount applicable to 30000 INR? How much the remaining amount and where we can see the remaining amount?

Hi ,
Discount will not calculated for the partial payment as Per the conditions you have provided. Terms of Payment will work in 2 ways 1. direct discount and another is installment method. for Direct discount if you do Payment for full amount i.e in your case 100000 then with in 10 days then only you will get discount of 3% or if payment done in 20 days you will get 2%. but if payment is done in PARTIAL .. Dicount will not given.. as Per Standard SAP.
If you want to get discount on Partial amounts ..then go for INSTALLMENT Method..
Hope the above clarifies your doupts.
Thanks
Goutam

  • Made Partial Payment Towards Account

    Hi there,
I hope you can help me.
I set up a DD with yourselves for my Total Broadband Account, unfortunately the bill this month is coming out at a bad time for me (29 Nov) and I made a partial payment towards it of £25 on 17 Nov, to try and take the amount coming out on the DD due date down a bit, but I have just noticed as I am on the whole bill scheme that it won't register.
Can someone help me by either changing my payment plan or by refunding me my money?
    Thanks.

  • Partial payment in Accounts receivables aging

    Dear Friends,
In FIAR_C03 cube we have Item status field and only two values are comming there
    O or C.
But in R/3 there are partial payment concept. BI considering partial payment as a open item.
    Example
We have a invoice of  10,000 USD
now one payment of 5,000 came from customer side and we settled 5,000 against above invoice
    now remaining is 5,000.
means 5,000 of payment and 5,000 of invioce should be closed or cleared . But this is not the case becuase of invoice
is not fully settled. When invoice will settled fully then it will become cleared.
using open item we are making our AR aging but now 5,000 payment is still open actually its
cleared and net due date of this payment is diffrent then net due date of invoice thats why
these two entries are comming in two diffrent ages.
How can we handle this scnario in SAP BI durring making of AR aging.
    Any help highly appriciated.
    Thanks with regards,
    Malik

    Hi
It shows only Open Item as the partial payments can not be maintained through the Info Cubes. Because Info Cubes always Addition concept.(Hope you are using Reverse/inversion field here for fetching the data to BI side)
You can Use DSO for this purpose as it has the Over write functionality but still your problem is not solved because it shows the Open here also, But can trace the changes through Change log table.
Try to use 2 Info Objects to map with both the Open and Clear because you have partial payment concept is one way OR
Take functional Team help to create one more Item as Partial Concept would be the Best option in your case to report correctly either by Cube/DSO.
    Hope it helps and clear

  • Account payable from TRM

    Hello people.
Please, I really need help with the customizing to create payments in Account Payables from TRM contracts.
Example: I have a fixed-term deposit with transaction "Borrowing". I will have "payments" movement in my contract every month.
Accounting rule for payment must be:
    Debit: Borrowings Account
    Credit: Vendor
What should I do in customizing to post a document for a vendor in AP beside linking the TRM Business Partner with a Vendor?
In the account determination for update types I can assign just G/L accounts and not Vendor´s account number.
Please, any suggestion/links to find documentation about this will be extremally helpful.
    Thanks a lot.

    Hello Srs.
I could find and understand what you mentioned bellow:
"When assigning your update types to posting specifications, there is a check box for payment transaction. Specify a new posting specification and assign the customer account symbol."
But, I can´t find a way to assign a customer account to an account symbol instead of a G/L account. I couldn´t find an option to assign a customer account. Could you clarify how can I do that?
    Thanks a lot!

  • Accounts Payable - Tracking of Advances & Partial payment against Invoice

I want to co-relate the advance payment and various partial payments made to one vendor with the specific Invoice. Can you please suggest the wayout?
Suppose I have made down payment to Mr. A. Then I have booked the invoice against which various part payments have been made. Now I want to know the pending due amount against the particular invoice. How can I track the same?

    Hi Kapil,
    My suggestion would be -
Use the reference field to update the Invoice number in all the documents - Down payment, Invoice posting and the partial payments.
The reference field is editable even after the document is posted. So, you can update the down payment document also once you recieve the invoice.
Now, from FBL1N, you can sort/filter by the reference field and find out the balance to be paid for a particular invoice.

    Mike

  • Possibility of AP and contracts accounts payable payments running parallel

    Hi Gurus,
My client already has a SAP system and they are planning to implement FICA for contract accounting. Is it possible to have contracts accounts payable and accounts payable systems running in parallel for the payments. Please let me know the solution soon.
    Thanks
    Santosh

    1. Take List of all applied Invoices of the Payment
    2. Check the status of those invoices. Each one of them should be in status 'Accounted'
    3. If not,Identify the problem with the Invoice and Clear that. The problem may be Invoice adjustment(adj to Paid invoices allowed).
    4. Try running Create Accounting again.
    5. If the problem persists still, it conveys us that the Transactions were struck in loop and can be resolved only by using UPDATE command.

  • Partial payment tab problem when clearing two open items in vendor account

    Dear All,
I have the problem with partial payment procedure.
As SAP is presenting the process, partial payment should work as follows (i.e. with vendor):
    1. Incoming invoice is posted -> Credit -100
    2. Credit note is posted  -> Debit +20
    3. Payment (without clearing) is posted to vendor account -> Debit +50
I'll run transaction F-44 and go to tab "Partial payment".
I see 3 items (as above).
    I mark Item -100 and +20
I double click in filed next to -100 and it changes to -20
An now it should make no posting but only assignemet of one item to another.
But in my case, if I click "save" icon, it makes postings Debit 20 and Credit -20 on vendor account.
Is there any possibility that such clearing will not generate any posting but just make assignement of one item to another. Or maybe there is something wrongly configured in the system. At the moment the partial payment makes some kind of residual items.
    Thanks in advance for replay.
    Best regards
    Greg

    Hello,
Yes, it's right, whenever we clear vendor or custmoer account, the system creates document, but as I remeber from other instalations, the document had header but there was no postings.
It case described, the system creates posting:
    40       Vendor      20 EUR
    50       Vendor      20 EUR
This is strange for me. As ther should be clearing document but with no postings.
Have you got any idea how to configure the system, so partial payment tab in clearing transactions creates clearing document but with no phisical postings.
    Best regards

  • Accounts Payables Workflows (Payment Authorisation)

    Good Afternoon,
Does anyone know if there is a seeded workflow within accounts payable for the authorisation of payments?

    Hi,
There are no seeded workflows in Oracle 11.5.10 for Payment Authorization

    Dear Friend,
Go to transaction code OBYR and check if GL accounts have been assigned to the special GL indicators "A" & "F", by double clicking on them.
Also double click on "F", click on the properties tab and check if "A" is given in the field "Target special gl indicator".
If no, then give it and retry the transaction.
    Assign points if useful

  • Partial Reconciliation on Payment on Account

I am working on SAP Business One 2007 A Patch Level 38:
I understand the usefulness of Partial Reconciliation but am having the following problems when it is used in conjunction with a "Payment on Account".  Here is the scenario.
I have a Customer who sends us a payment in advance of $10,800 and we choose to (on the Incoming Payments window) post it as a "Payment on Account".  Later, we have an A/R Invoice cut to this customer for $800.  I go to the Internal Reconciliation window on the Business Partner and change the "Amount to Reconcile" from the resulting "Payment on Account" row from $10,800 to $800 and press the "Reconcile" button.  Unfortunately, SAP automatically takes my remaining $10,000 and posts it to the Miscellaneous Income account.  If this was an A/R Credit Memo instead of a Payment on Account, it would have just left the $10,000 open and available on the Business Partner.  Can you please explain why SAP is moving this money automatically over to Miscellaneous Income and/or advise how to prevent this?  I have tried to use an A/R Down Payment Invoice also and as long as the money was from a "Payment on Account", it takes the difference and posts it to Miscellaneous Income.  Currently, my only option I see would be to create a manual journal entry and move money back from the Miscellaneous Income account back onto the Business Partner account - not a preferred method.
Thank you in advance for your reply.

    Hello Kerstin,
Thank you for your reply.  Yes, I have not created any adjustment at the time of reconciliation but the computer has automatically generated an adjustment for me.  To confirm it is the computer that has generated it, there is no means "reversal" checkbox that you get when you create a manual journal entry.  In addition, the software automatically fills in the "Remarks" with "Manual Reconciliation Transaction".  I agree with what you say that it makes most sense that no journal entry would be created (and that the money would remain with the business partner) - that is the functionality I suppossed would occur.  We have a test company here and I have tried this a number of times and, provided I am reconciling against a "Payment on Account", the software automatically generates an "Adjustment".  Is it possible there is a setting for this somewhere?  Not to impose, does anyone else have a 2007A version (test company) and have this same event occur?  Perhaps it is intentionally designed this way . . . but I kind of hope it is not - not convenient.
Thanks in advance for any further reply.

  • Payments on Account from Accts Payable/Receivable Accounting

    Dear Experts,
I am using Online payment update in FM. I am also using New GL and
    Document Splitting.
I have a problem when posting an FI document for two costumers (both
    with item 60). I have a warning message FICUSTOM100.
When reversing this same document I get message FICUSTOM114 for each
line item, and in the end I get message FMUP027.
Based on the research I did I think I have to activate "Payments on
Account from Accts Payable/Receivable Accounting". The problem is that
the field is not possible to modify.
It this the correct procedure? What should I do to update that field in
    OF29?
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards,
    Joana Mensurado.

    Hi Joana,
The warning FICUSTOM114 is related to a wrong update in FM in case of clearing. Please review your customizing using SAP note 1234391. Usually the business transaction assigned to vendor/customer is wrong.
In addition, please check your customizing settings in transaction GSP_VZ3.
I suggest you also to check the financial transaction that had the G/L account. This can be also the reason.

Regarding error FMUP027 also usually is caused by incomplete customizing.
The constant value is mandatory to be customized. In addition please check the original invoice posted. The document
type should NOT have transaction variant 0000 assigned to it. This is incorrect as transaction variant 0000 doesn't split.
Please check carefully your customizing (like for example):
SPRO > Financial Accounting (New) > General Ledger Accounting (New) > Business Transactions > Document Splitting > Classify Document Types for  Document Splitting > Document type XXA is assigned to Transaction '9999' and Variant '8888'.
You should have transaction 1000 and variant AKON there.
    I hope this helps.
    Best Regards,
    Vanessa.

  • Where can do you link the Account payable (AP) to Automatic Payment Program

    Hi SAP Experts,
Where can do you link the Account payable (AP) to Automatic Payment Program (APP) what is t - code and what is the table name and Accounts Receivable (AR) to Automatic payment program (APP) what is t - code and what is the table name
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards.
    Srinivas

    Hi Srinivas,
The link is created when you enter vendor number in parameters tab of F110 and do the run. Here in Parameters you enter the vendor code for which you need to run APP. Based on vendors provided here in F110 Parameter tab, the F110 program checks for the open items of that vendor which are to be paid and selects them accordingly. Hope this clarifies.
Ofcourse in Vendor master under Payment transactions Accounting you have to full the necessary fields like Payment methods etc under Automatic Payment Transactions.
    Hope this clarifies
