Partial print of page J4680

J4680 only prints partial pages. I have used Tools to clean printhead cartridges, installed new cartridges and aligned them. Did not help.

Hi jfrut,
Welcome to the HP forums.
I see you have an Officejet J4680 that doesn't want to print the entire page. Stubborn as it may be, I would be happy to help you with this issue
To determine whether it's the printer hardware or the printer software that we need to focus on, I'd like you to print a Self-Test Report and see if it's able to print that page fully. If that prints fully, it means the hardware of the printer is working and we should focus our efforts on the computer. If you're using Windows please try downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor and follow whatever suggestions it may have to offer. If that doesn't resolve the issue (or you're not using Windows) please let me know which version of Mac or Windows you're working with.
If the Self-Test Report is also cut off the issue would be with the printer hardware, and although you have done some hardware troubleshooting I will suggest that you follow this Poor Quality Black Text document as well as this Printed Colors Are Not the Colors Expected document.
Hope to hear back from you soon!

    Hi,
    The HP ePrint does not support web pages printing
    Printing Web pages through email is currently not supported. HP is in the process of developing solutions to support Web page printing for mobile devices.

    Your HP Deskjet 3050 is printing BLANK PAGES?
    The printer ejects blank sheets of paper when printing. Some or all the printed pages might be partially blank or half printed. It can be the software that you are printing from or program. Sometimes it can be the actual print head needs cleaning or cartridges are low.
    Here is a link that will provide you with steps that will get the issue resolved. In this document you will have different Operating Systems. (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Mac OS X) Software.

    Yes, the link is down.
    See if you can print a self-test page or printer status report from the printer itself. If so, then it is a software or connection issue.
    If you can print test page, try to use a different USB cable. Also, you can uninstall and re-install the software and drivers.
    If you are NOT able to print a test page from the printer, try to clean the cartridges with lint free cloth and water.

  • Not able to print full pages via wireless

    Hello,
    I am looking for some assistance to troubleshoot an issue I am having printing from a computer using wireless to my wireless connected HP Officejet 4632.
    When I open a .pdf, for example, on a PC that is hardwired into my router, I can print the entire document with no issues.  However, when connected via wireless to my network from another PC (which has a full signal strength by the way), I get partial pages and/or missing pages in the print job.
    Are there any troubleshooting steps you might recommend?
    Thank you,
     - Steve

    Hi Steve,
    What operating syste, you are using on this PC?
    Try following the steps below and check if that may help:
    - Open the HP software by clicking the HP Officejet 4630 icon within the Desktop or the Start Menu, then click the Printer Home Page (EWS) link.
    - Click the Network tab.
    - Depending on your printer model click on Networking and then on Network Address (IP) or click on IPv4 within the active network connection type.
    - Click on Manual IP , and then click Suggest a Manual IP Address . A manual IP address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway displays.
    *Be sure to take a note of the IP address and Confirm the changes, then close the EWS page.
    - Click the HP Officejet 4630 icon within the Desktop or the Start Menu and click the Utilities tab, then click on Update IP Address.
    - Type the manually configured IP address, click on Save and confirm.
    - Open the control panel and go to Devices and Printers.
    - Right click the HP Officejet 4630 icon and select Printer Properties.
    - Open the Ports tab.
    - Click the Add Port button, select Standard TCP/IP and click on New Port.
    - Follow the steps by typing the manually configured IP address and confirm the changes.
    Now try printing and check if the issue may been resolved.

  • Officejet 150 wont print full pages in Word

    Officejet 150 Mobile misses printing parts of a page of text in Word 2007.  I created several lines of text and it simply won't print them all.  I then filled an entire page with Ariel, size 11 font.   It skipped printing every third line.  I repeated this with a larger font and it cut the text, horizontally, along the same width lines.  Did the same thing in Corel WordPerfect X4 with the same result.  Ditto in Avery Design & Print.  It won't print entire 3/4" sections across the page.  I've uninstalled drivers/printer, rebooted, etc., several times to no avail.  Print Doctor keeps saying device is busy but it's not.  No print jobs in que, printer was cycled on and off (several times).

    Hey @dmartin05,
    Welcome to the HP Support Forum.
    I understand your HP Officejet 150 Mobile All-in-One Printer won't print full pages from specific word processing programs.  I would like to help.
    I recommend you try the following steps so we can determine whether this is most likely a hardware versus software issue:
    From the front panel of your printer, make a black copy of an ordinary full-page text document.  Does the partial page/print quality issue persist?
    Next, touch Setup / Reports/ and Print Quality Diagnostic.  How does the Print Quality Diagnostic from your printer compare to the report highlighted in the following link?:
    HP Officejet 150 Mobile All-in-One Printer Series (L511) - Troubleshooting Print Quality Issues
    If you were able to make a decent copy of a text document, and your Print Quality Diagnostic Report printed without any discernible issues then we can safely assume the issue is software related.  If that's the case, please respond to this post and I'll be happy to provide further troubleshooting suggestions.
    If you find it's the opposite and there are print quality issues from the front panel, treat this as a hardware issue and follow the troubleshooting steps provided in the above-linked article.
    Best of luck - have a great weekend!

  • HP 3510 All In One only printing blank pages after cartridge replacement

    Recently replaced my blank ink cartridge after supply level showed low, and printed output looked faded.
    Using genuine HP product - check
    Cartridge supply level good - check
    Powered on and off twice - check
    Installed, removed, re-installed cartidges - check
    Good paper - check
    Alignment prints blank page - does not print partial or low quality, just produces a blank page.
    Printing from my computer, a word document, also produces a blank page - not parital - blank.
    Was printing before the HP cartridge change.
    Did I buy a bad HP cartridge?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Forgot to mention that I am not getting an error message either, except when I go through the motions of scanning the (blank) alignment page.  That error is related to the fact that it is blank though.
    Thanks for any assistance.

  • First letter on a line only partially printing

    HP 3310 Photosmart All-in-one
    On almost every page printed, the left-most part of the first letter on (mainly) the first line of the page does not print.  Frequently, first letters on subsequent lines (not necessarily consecutive)  also only partially print.  Sometimes, interior letters have the same problem.
    I have changed cartridges several times and cleaned print heads several times (although the test sheet printed when cleaning printheads is invariably perfect). Sometimes the very lowest portion of several letters in a row will not print.
    The problem happens with different paper stock, different fonts, and different cartridges (including genuine HP cartridges.

    It sounds like you have an issue with the ink drying out in the printheads.  This could be caused by a defective service station area (the part that caps the printheads while not printing), bad ink or by turning the power off to the printer before the printheads have been put away properly.
    It would take a long time for a change of ink cartridges to actually show up at the printheads, there would be a significant amount of ink that remains in the system even after a cartridge change.  You say you have used different cartridges (including genuine HP cartridges).  Does that mean you have used non-HP ink?   I would suggest putting in HP ink and running several (three or more) cleaning cycles but unfortunately if you have used bad ink it may be very difficult to flush this out of the system.

    HP posted a workaround for this problem while they were working with Microsoft to get the root cause of the problem, many customers commented that the workaround helped them out and they were able to print. This workaround was not easy to use as the customer needed to add another printer manually and changed drivers.
    We can now announce that the problem has been fixed, the problem involved a Microsoft Network component that HP was using to talk to and track the printers on the network. This fix is being rolled out by Microsoft via Windows Update and anyone who has Windows Update enabled and set to automatically install updates should have already received this update. For those that do not have Windows Update setup to automatically install fixes the fix is available now and should be installed.
    The details of this fix and a manual method of installing it can be found here.

    This fix is only designed for users that are using there printer on a Network (Wireless or Wired) and will not fix partial printing problems encountered with USB connections.

  • C4680 Prints Blank Pages using Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks)

    Hello.
    My Hp printer recently started to print blank pages. The problem started with two of the prints partially printed and since then the rest appears blank. I check the UTILITY tool - the cartridge levels are good (the tricolor is full, the black ink level shows yellow warning triangle but no critical level). The next step I performed was printing a test page through UTILITY, but a blank page was printed. Finally I deleted the hp folder from Library/Printers, then deleting the Printer using the - sign in the System Preferences/Printers and back again to Printers with downloading and installing the drivers through the Apple Software Update as suggested by the system once I used the + sign (Add Printers) command. After all this manipulations the printer is still printing blank pages. Could you please help me with the solution.
    Thank You,

    Hi TeriLynn,
    I have successfully installed the v 3.3.1 Drivers on my Mac, but after triple check with my other macbook OS Yosemite and with other Windows Vista laptops I am almost 100% sure that the problem is the black cartridge. It should be completely empty nevertheless is shows some ink.
    So, at least the Printer menus are there - utility, supplies, etc.
    Once I buy the black cartridge, I hope I'll find the problem.
    One suggestion for HP, please take my case and fix the Mac "no ink" notifications. At any moment I did not receive a pop-up warning that I have to change the cartridge.
    TeriLynn, thank you very much for the efforts and your guidence. It was really helpful.
    Thank you.
    Best regards.

  • Printing doesn't print all pages

    I am running FF 8.01 with a Canon MG6220 printer. When I try to print pages it only (even in the preview) only prints one page and cuts off the bottom of the first page as well. All prints correctly in IE.

    I get around problems like that with web pages that don't show completely in Print Preview ''(especially those pages that are providing a receipt for a transaction, which are basically a one time access or view, or a statement of my account which I really don't need on paper - just save them to disk in one file)'' by saving the page as an MHT file using the UnMHT addon for Firefox. If I want a printed copy immediately, I open a new tab and use File > Open File... to open that just saved MHT in a new tab. Then I print it from that MHT file. I have never had a problem with a saved MHT file web page not printing all pages completely. <br />
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/unmht/
    There's a number of printing Bugs that might cause that. iFrames and Divs that extend beyond the first printed page can cause pages 2 and beyond to not appear in Print Preview and to not be printed, and is probably the most common cause of that problem. Those two issues / Bugs have been around for as long as Firefox has existed ''(Sept 2002 with Phoenix 0.1)''; one Bug was filed on Netscape and the other on the Mozilla Suite. Both can be rectified fairly easily with web page media = print CSS code; if the website provided proper support for Firefox they could probably fix it in a few minutes. But, hey, after 10 years of providing specific patch code for IE 5, 5.5, and 6.0 for stuff that didn't meet W3C coding standards and to make their pages work in IE, they're probably out of practice testing their stuff with the 3 or 4 most popular browsers and providing a minor tweak here and there. Either that or the developers who did the testing and patches were "retired" because they were being paid more then a banana or two for their skills.
    I have given up hope that Mozilla will ever fix all these printing related problems, and I am afraid that they will screw things up even worse if they do try to fix something. Like this regression - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=454532 - after the developers messed with printing for the Firefox 3.0 version; the Bug was filed 3 years ago and it still isn't completely fixed. Partial fix in 8.0, more promised in 9.0, and maybe completely fixed in 10.0??

    Often problems like this are cause by software. On rare occasions it can be a communications issue.
    So that I may better assist you I have a few of questions.
    1. How is your printer connected to your computer?
    is it wireless, USB or LAN?
    2. Is your coputer a PC or MAC?
    3. What version is the opperating system on your computer?
    Windos xp? Windows 8? OS X 10.6?

    Hello @Emilio66,
    Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
    I understand that you're experiencing issues when trying to print from Microsoft Office and Test Pages from your Windows 8.1 computer to your HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer. However, you are able to print from all other programs from your computer to your printer. I would like to assist you today with resolving this printing issue.
    Recently Microsoft has released a Hot Fix to correct 'Offline' or 'Partial Printing' issues within their latest Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 Operating Systems as they recognize this as an issue within their Operating System. The issue occurs when you have a networked printer and a corruption with the WSD (network) port on the Windows Operating System. This issue appears to affect a variety of networked makes and models of printers. Therefore, I am going to have you run the Hot Fix to correct the network printing issue. Please click here to install the Hot Fix. Once the website opens select the button for Hotfix Download Available. Please follow any onscreen prompts to install the fix. Once the fix is installed you should have no issues printing to your printer.
    If the printing issue persists, can I please have you click here to download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool. This Tool will run on your computer and 'fix printing' issues for you. Should any driver, software, or connection conflicts be found than the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool will attempt to resolve those conflicts for you. Once the Tool has completed please test printing again.
    Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you!

  • Printer prints one page, then stops

    I've had my printer for several years. Now, when I try to print a multiple page file, it prints one page and stops. I have to print each page individually. It never used to do this.

    Hey ,  Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.  I understand you're encountering a partial print job issue when using your HP LaserJet Pro CP1025 Color Printer.  I would like to help.  Firstly, I recommend you run the HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows.  You can click here to install.  This utility might find and fix whatever's ailing your setup.  Additionally, if this approach doesn't help, I suggest working your way through the steps listed in this article from HP.  It should help rule out potential print queue issues.  Lastly, it won't hurt to clear out your temp files as directed below:  Clear Temp Folder:  Open your Start menu and in the 'search programs and files' box type %temp% and hit enter.When the Temp folder opens select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboardOnce everything is highlighted in the Temp folder select 'Delete' on your keyboard to delete the files within the Temp folder. No files and folders on your actual computer will be removed. This will only delete Temporary files. If a file is still be used by a program on your computer you will get the pop up to 'skip' the item.Once the Temp files are deleted close the windowOn your Desktop, right click on the Recycling Bin and select Empty Recycling BinPlease let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post.  If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below and clicking to accept this solution. Thanks again for your post and have a great day!

  • How can I print some pages from multipage report

    Hello,
    I have created a multipage report in word. I would like the user to be able to print the pages selected (as in word printing: pages: 1, 2-3);
    I am using Office 2007 pro, the LabVIEW Report Gen Toolkit, LabVIEW 2009, and Windows XP.
    I used the suggestion in thread:
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/How-can-you-print-a-single-page-of-a-multipage-report/m-p/155233 , modifying the print VI that comes shipped with LabVIEW: NI_ReportGenerationToolkit.lvlib:Word_Print.VI.
    first of all I put two integer constants on "From" and "To" in the Invoke node (PrintOut), but Labview return an error:
    Error 1015 occurred at NI_ReportGenerationToolkit.lvlib:Word_Print.vi -> NI_Word.lvclassrint Report.vi -> print2.vi
    Then I searched for PrintOut Method in word 2007 Reference guide, and I saw that for using From and To the Range field must have the string  wdPrintFromTo;
    I insert wdPrintFromTo string  in RANGE Field and tryed.... same error......
    After that I change approach; removed all constants and used the field Pages; I put a string "1-2" connected to this field and now the printer respond, but all pages was printed!
    What's wrong?
    many thanks

    Thanks, Alex!
    ok, I try first approach in print4.vi, but Labview return an error (view jpg); if I cut From, To controls, the VI print all pages. The same things happen also if I trasform I32 in Variant.
    I don't try second approach, because at this time I have only one report
    I try also with VB macro: this is better (print3.vi) but.....if I use:
    Sub Print_Pages_From_To()
    ActiveDocument.ActiveWindow.PrintOut Range:=wdPrintFromTo, From:="2", To:="3"
    End Sub
    is ok; print the pages selected; if I use:
    Sub PrintPages()
    ActiveDocument.ActiveWindow.PrintOut  Pages:="2-3"
    End Sub
    printer print all pages.
    what do you think?
