Partial song play from iTunes on SLVR

I can play the full songs on iTunes on my computer if I skip to the second half of the song...otherwise it plays for a few seconds and skips to the next song and plays that one for a few seconds, and skips to the next song, etc. When I uploaded all of them to my SLVR they do the same. I checked the convert to 128 box and I'm using internal USB port. Help?

Hi,
Try restarting the iPhone.

If the issue persists, try transferring the song from the iPhone to PC, using iTunes as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
Then try playing the song in iTunes and syncing it back tot he iPhone.

  • Some partial songs transferred from ITunes

I am having a problem with the transfer of songs from iTunes to my iPod. The songs play fine in iTunes but after transferring them to the iPod about75% play fine and 25% are partial files, of various sizes and random throughout the iPod library. I have sent it back three times and recieved new iPods but the same thing happens. I bought a nano and it does the same thing after transferring the music from iTunes. I need advice. Apple doesn't even know what it is.
    PC   Windows XP

    MORE INFORMATION:
I tried various ways to transfer songs into the itunes ipod icon: from library, from playlist, even tried transferring playlist. In all situations, the transferred songs appear within the ipod icon as they should, but ipod doesn't show these songs when ejected. It's as if there is a missing "burn ipod" step or something.
I tried installing older itunes software, but it wouldn't let me because I had a new version. I didn't want to uninstall my current version for fear of wiping out my entire library.
I am not ready to take this step yet. I am hoping apple has a fairly simple solution.

  • Half the songs on the album I purchased from I Tunes do not play from iTunes or on my ipod. How can I correct them?

I purchased an album yesterday- less than half the songs play from iTunes or on my ipod- I can't re-download to try to fix- only repurchase and risk a repeat of the problem. Any way to "activate" the "blank" songs that iTunes seems to just skip? They show up with full info as if they were there

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

  • Songs Purchased from iTunes Won't Play on iPod

I purchased some songs from iTunes. They play perfectly fine on my computer through iTunes. However, when I disconnect my iPod from my computer and try to listen to those songs with my headphones or in my car through my iTrip, my iPod just skips over those songs and goes to the next song in the shuffle. Or when I try to play the whole album, it'll show 1, then 2, then 3, and so on...it skips through the whole album then ends up at the main screen without playing a single song. I've tried deauthorizing/reauthorizing my computer, I've restored my iPod many times, I've cleared my library and restored it with my backup files, I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, I tried using an old updater to get the previous iPod software, but that doesn't play vidoes, and I've done all of the above on three different USB ports.
I've called Tech Support many times and they keep telling me the same thing and nothing works.
So, I finally made my way into traffic-congested Tysons Corner to the nearest Apple Store and all the guy could tell me was that the file was corrupted and to re-download my purchases. So, I go back home, get on iTunes, search for my purchases and I'm told that my purchases can only be downloaded once.
OMG! Someone help! Is there anyone out there having the same problem!??!?!

Enable the iPod for disk use. See How to enable disk use.
Go to "my computer" and from the tools menu/folder options/view tab, enable "show hidden files and folders" in the advanced settings pane. Open the iPod in "my computer". Look for a file called "iEKinfo". Is it there? If so, make a copy of this file and save it somewhere easy to find (the desktop for instance). Do this also with the "iTunes DB" file. Don't worry if you can't see these files.
Create a new administrator account. Log out of the current account and log in to the new one. Then restore the iPod to factory settings.
Open iTunes, connect the iPod and set the transfer preferences to manual transfer. Then download the free single of the week from the iTunes Music Store. Verify that song plays in iTunes.
Now, drag this song only to the iPod, and eject the iPod from iTunes and disconnect it from the computer.
Does the song play on the iPod ok? If so, log out of the new user account and log back in to your normal one (the one you have issues with) and reconnect the iPod to the computer. Keep manual transfer selected for the moment. Drag some of the older purchased music (the ones that wouldn't play before) to the iPod.
Eject the iPod and disconnect it. Do those songs now play ok?
If not, first try this step.
Delete the SC Info.sidb file. Open iTunes again.
Now transfer some of the affected music to the iPod again. Does it play ok?

    What is your iTunes version?
If iTunes 11, have you checked the "Up Next" list? If it is not empty, try if clearing "UP Next" will help:

  • Authorization of old song purchases from iTunes-Win7 PC.

For old songs purchased from iTunes several years ago, I'm notified I've exceeded the max (5) number of computers. I cannot play these songs or have them synch to my new iPhone.  I've deauthorized all computers and re-authorized my current Win7 PC. I've changed the notification settings in the control panel. (All of these remedies suggested by Apple on-line support).  This issue is still not resolved. Can anyone offer a suggestion? Thank you.

Sounds like you might have multiple iTunes Store accounts. If you purchased that old album with a different Apple ID, it wouldn't show up in your purchase history if you are signed in to a different account. Same deal for authorizing content. If that song was purchased using a different Apple ID, you would need to use that account name and password to authorize it.
If you aren't sure which account you used to purchase an item, you can find out by following these steps:
    1) Control-click (or right-click) the item in your iTunes Library.
    2) Choose Get Info from the menu that appears.
    3) Click the Summary tab.
You’ll see the account used to purchase the item. If you have changed your account name, the item's Summary will still show the original account name.

  • Does Genius see only songs purchased from iTunes?

Does Genius see only songs purchased from iTunes? If I fill in some of the information, iTunes library such as track names, play counts, and ratings on songs that weren't purchases from the iTunes library will these be included in Genius. Will songs that just have the title and artist be included in Genius. Thanks for the help.

Since all of your music came from your computer in the first place, then it should still be there and should be included in your backup copy of your computer.
" it told me when i pluged hers in 2 ipods could not use the same account"
This is not true.  You have misunderstood.
You can sync as many ipods/iphones/ipads as you like to one one library.

  • How to find songs deleted from iTunes but on hard drive?

I have a very large library. My wonderful nieces "accidentally" deleted some song files from iTunes. However, the songs themselves are still on the hard drive.
Is there an easy way for iTunes to search the hard drive for music files, compare what is NOT currently in iTunes and import ONLY the missing songs?
    Thank you in advance.

    Check [Dougscripts|http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/scriptcount.php?sortBy=Name& op=y] - Many itunes scripts
I seem to recall one that looks for files not actually in itunes, but don't remember the name of the script.
If you have itunes manage your music for you I think you could just run consolidation again and it will add media that it finds that don't already exist in your library.

  • I recently updated my iPhone and now find there are a number of songs that I cannot sync to my phone. Some are songs purchased from iTunes.  Is there anyway to remedy this?  I'd really prefer not to have to repurchase music.  Thanks

I recently ran an updatedafter being prompted multiple times. Now I find there are a number of songs that I cannot sync to my iPhone. Some are songs purchased from iTunes.  Is there anyway to remedy this?  I'd really prefer not to have to repurchase music.

Why would you repurchase songs simply because they will not sync?  Sorry, that's beyond illogical, it's simply not smart.
What happens when trying to sync these songs?
    Any errors?

  • Ive had my iPod classic for some time now, and up to now have been using my laptop to sync songs from iTunes.  Unfortunatley, the laptop has died and I'm thinking of buying a iPad.....but how do i now get any songs downloaded from iTunes to my iPod?

I've had my iPod classic for some time now, and up to now have been connecting it to my laptop to sync any downloaded tunes from iTunes.  Unfortunately, the laptop has died and I'm thinking of buying a iPad.....but how do I now get any songs downloaded from iTunes to my iPod?

If an iPod is set to update automatically it will be associated with a particular library. If you connect that iPod to a different computer or a different library on the same computer you get the the message you are referring to. "The iPod "iPod Name"is linked to another another iTunes music library. Do you want to change the link to this iTunes music library and replace all existing songs and playlists on this iPod with those from this library". To use an iPod on multiple computers you change the update method to "manually manage songs and playlists". You can also use multiple iPods on a single computer so you will be able to connect both of your iPods to your existing iTunes. Connect the new iPod and follow the on screen instructions, iTunes will open and update your iPod.
    For info:
The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences menu in iTunes (Edit=>Preferences=>'iPod' tab):
    1) Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method.
    2) Automatically update selected playlists only. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer.
    3) Manually manage songs and playlists. You can also choose to transfer music to the iPod manually. This allows you to drag and drop individual songs and playlists from iTunes to the iPod.

  • Everytime I try to download a song purchase from itunes I get the error message. 'Unable to Download Song' could not be downloaded at this time. I cannot even sync with itunes on the PC.

    Hi guys,
I need some everytime I try to download a song purchase from itunes I get the error message. 'Unable to Download Song' could not be downloaded at this time. I cannot even sync with itunes on the PC.
    Kind regards
    Ian

One correction, from the icloud I was not able to listed to the entire song.  So when you purchased the song if it wasn't downloaded to your library, chances are you have lost your opportunity to listen to it.

  • I had my Ipod nano 7Gen factory restored. Nano touch is working smooth without any song init but after i have any of the songs shifted from itune touch buttons get messed up. They don't work. Help me in over coming this issue

I had my Ipod nano 7th Gen factory restored. Nano touch works smooth without any song in-it but after i have any of the songs shifted from itunes, touch buttons get messed up. They don't work. Help me in over coming this issue.

    Hello Rohantm,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iPod nano (7th generation) touch screen.  I recommend the following steps for the issue you described (you can skip the steps you have already tried):
Touch screen does not accept input
Clean the screen with a microfiber polishing cloth.
Do not wear gloves while using the touchscreen. Do not use the touchscreen with wet hands or immediately after applying hand lotion. Moisture affects touchscreen behavior in the same manner as it affects a trackpad.
If you have a protective plastic sheet or film on the touchscreen, try removing it, because it may be preventing the touchscreen from working properly.
The current application may be unresponsive; try resetting iPod by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and the Home buttons simultaneously for a least six seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Sync with iTunes and restore the iPod.
    Issue not resolved
If the issue is still not resolved, please read this information on servicing your iPod.
