• How to generate a simpler version of container.xsd . Tool and steps, please

Hello,
Let see if I'm able to express correctly the help I need...
Some tutorials, for example FileDebatching (FileAdapter) or FTPDebatching (FtpAdapter) use the container.xsd file as an XMLschema.
I think this file is based in the container.txt file, this is sample of the file...

-------------end the file
container.xsd represents a file that can include PO's and INVOICES, 2 different things in the same file.
I would like to know how to create the container.xsd in a simpler way, I mean one file for invoices.
I know already how to create this file (automatically...) when creating a partner link for reading a text file like this:
--------begin of file
SYS COa;HR API;26-11-2007;EUR;1
SYS COb;HR API;26-11-2007;EUR;1
----------end of file
But I do not know how to do the same when the file contains records that means master-details, I mean an invoice has one or more lines and could include a footer (header-body-footer).
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
You can generate a native XSD first for the file format you are looking to parse. Then you can manually modify to get the structure you want for the xml. We did similar thing for ex we had one big file containing records and we wanted each record in its structure type
Record1
subrecord1
subrecord2
Record2
subrecord1
We had our xsd like -
<xsd:element name="container">
<xsd:complexType>
<xsd:sequence maxOccurs="unbounded">
<xsd:element name="Record" type="tns:Record" nxsd:startsWith=""0001","/>
</xsd:sequence>
</xsd:complexType>
</xsd:element>
<xsd:complexType name="Record">
<xsd:sequence>
<xsd:element name="Demographics" type="tns:demographicsType"/>
<xsd:element name="Insurance" type="tns:insuranceType" maxOccurs="unbounded" nxsd:startsWith=""IN1"," minOccurs="0"/>
<xsd:element name="Employer" type="tns:employerType" maxOccurs="unbounded" nxsd:startsWith=""EMP"," minOccurs="0"/>
<xsd:element name="Charges" type="tns:chargesType" maxOccurs="unbounded" nxsd:startsWith=""001"," minOccurs="0"/>
</xsd:sequence>

• Bpel tutorial help !!!

I am very new to the world of SOA and BPEL.. trying to follow tutorials and samples and am stuck at Loan Processing Tutorial
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/integrate.1012/b15604/loandemo.htm#hytrlvjjh
at instruction #5..
Tutorial simply instructed us to go to "http://localhost:9700/StarLoanUI" , which only gives me 404 page not found error.. I am not sure how to proceed.. any help will be very much appreciated.. i m pulling my hair out ...
I tired other variationss such is using my PC name instead of localhost... BPEL consile is running fine on 9700.
Thanks much.

thanks so much for helping me. After spending so much time, finally I find out that it was windows firewall that was stopping the .jsp pages to run. I stopped windows firewall and StarloanUI longin page showed up. then, I spend anotther days to find out the User ID and log in. Finally I was able to log in with jcooper, welcome1.
I am stuck with another problem.. Complex Structure Tutorial (File Adapter). I am trying to create native xml schema for the sample Invoice file, using "multiple records of different types". However, I am not able to differentitate between 3 differnt types of records (buyer, seller and line item) in wizard. Is there anyway to accomplish this using wizard or do I need to create the schema file manually.

Thanks,
Kalyan.

Just to understand your problem a little better, say you have processes A and B that you promote b/w these 3 environments. Also, say A is a standalone service invokable by external clients; say B is a service that is invokable by an external client and called by A as well.
Now, in this example, both A and B have web-service end points that change from one env to another.
W.r.t process A's caller, it should know the correct endpoint to invoke the service. Now if there is just one external client that is switching b/w the various environments, it has the responsibility of making this switch b/w the various endpoints (dev to test to prod). Now if this external client is an Oracle BPEL process as well, refer to solution below.
As far as process A's implementation goes, yes, it would have to change to invoke process B correctly. So, in dev, A should call B in dev; in stage/prod, A should call B in stage/prod. BPEL PM provides a solution to accomplish this via a customize ant task - refer to the section titled "Deploying to Multiple Environments with Different Configuration Values" in "Oracle® BPEL Process Manager Developer’s Guide 10g (10.1.3.1.0) B28981-03". Nothing changes for B across these three env as it is not invoking any other internal services.

• Relation between Key Template and Study creation in Oracle Clinical 5.0.1

Hi
In oracle clinical 5.0.1 , Is there any relation between Key template in GLib and Study creation (Design-Studies-Easy Study Design).

Yes, there's a known problem, not with german language, but with territory Switzerland, see on metalink:
ORA-604 / ORA-02248 WITH NLS_LANG SET TO TERRITORY SWITZERLAND
Doc ID: 334481.1
ORA-02248 is only the last error, you have others:
StepErrorHandler.setFatalErrors:322 setting Fatal Error: ORA-01092
Thread-3 12:33:59:88 StepErrorHandler.setFatalErrors:322 setting Fatal Error: ORA-01034
Thread-3 12:33:59:88 StepErrorHandler.setFatalErrors:322 setting Fatal Error: ORA-03114
Thread-3 12:33:59:88 StepErrorHandler.setFatalErrors:322 setting Fatal Error: ORA-12560
Thread-3 12:33:59:88 StepErrorHandler.setIgnorableErrors:250 setting Ignorable Error: ORA-01109
Not sure whether this related to the same problem. As a workaround you may change the territory, for example to GERMANY. If that works you hit the bug mentioned in the metalink not. Normally NLS_LANG is set in the registry.

• Oracle 10G OCA Syllabus based study material

Hello Friends,
I am very new in oracle studies and want to pursue oca exam. I have downloaded oca syllabus from oracle site and some (around 1 GB) study material from different web sites.
My problem is that; when i goes through these study materials these are :
A. Not as per syllabus
B. Not covers all the topics of syllabus
C. Not Based on syllabus
D. Not in the sequence; as described in syllabus
So, from where i can get/buy/download the best SBSM (Syllabus based study material) which can be help for not only pass the exam; but also give me satisfaction and my target for getting around 95% marks.
A reply in this regard will encourage me..!
Thanks and Regards a lot..!

Girish,
First marks are not from the study material.Even if you prepare really well from the best ever study but get confused in the exam , there will be no recovery and the % will come down.You are starting to prepare so I shall say to you, don't look for the % in the exams.I wont reveal my % in my exams here as I don't like but its "high".But I have seen people with 99%/100% fluncking in the interview/discussions within minutes on very basic questions.Heck I can't forget,in an interview when was asked a 99% scorer in Oracle Architecture exam,what is instance recovery ,he said he never read it!Don't get into % game,just prepare well and go for it.An exam doesn't tell completely whether you are really good in that field.Another example of the same ,one of my friend just now wrote OCM and cleared it and other friend failed in it.The one who failed is more senior and much more experienced in the extreme technologies like RAC,DG and all that but despite that, he faced lots of issues.So it doesn't mean he is bad,doesn't know thigns.Just at that time ,he was not having that "moment" clicked.
After all this "big lecture" , get the exam preparation series from Oracle Press and also check back the notes for preparation from Oracle-base.com,site maintained by Tim Hall.
I shall say in the last, for the best,most accurate and most latest study material,come to Oracle University and take Oracle course.You in any case, have to take one course from Oracle to achieve your ocp crendential.There is very strict quality control maintained in OU so the experience will be good.I am not sure about your place but as you are very near to Delhi so if you want,let me know , I shall pass on information about the centers.
Aman....

• J2EE and Web Services Workshops by Oracle and TheServerSide

Oracle and TheServerSide are pleased to invite you to a free SOA developer workshop. This one-day event includes technical sessions, an install fest, hands-on labs, and a hacker's contest. (Attendees must bring their own laptops to participate in the labs and contest.) Topics will include:
* Overview of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
Discover what it means to move to SOA and learn about key SOA technologies, including J2EE 1.4, Web Services, BPEL, EJB, JSP, and Struts.
* Constructing the Services Layer
Develop back-end business services using the latest J2EE technologies.
* From Web Services to Business Processes
Learn about key J2EE 1.4 technologies used to implement Web services, and find out how to build Web services-based business processes using the industry standard Business Process Execution Language (BPEL).
* User Interfaces for SOA
Use Struts and design patterns to bind business services to user interfaces.
The hands-on labs take developers through the different stages of building an SOA based application. Developers must bring their own laptop to participate in the workshop, and they will get CDs with the software they need to develop and run the labs.
Hacker’s Event - Social and Coding Competition
Following the workshop, attendees will be treated to free pizza and beer and will have the opportunity to compete for additional prizes. Experts from TheServerSide will join the session to discuss SOA best practices.

Hi all,
When executing the below query im getting the error "ORA-20000:Column is not indexed"
query:
select xmlelement("nexml:result",xmlattributes('http://namespaces.nextance.com/nex/xml' as "xmlns:nexml"),xmlelement("nexml:value",count(*))).getClobVal()
from "permission"
where ( ((contains(object_value,'(searchDocument) inpath(/permission/action)') > 0)) and ((existsNode(object_value,'/permission[resource/resourcekey/@type[. = "document"]]') = 1)) and ((contains(object_value,'(GeneralUser) inpath(/permission/principal/@name)') > 0)) and ((existsNode(object_value,'/permission[principal/@type[. = "group"]]') = 1)) and ((existsNode(object_value,'/permission[type[. = "allow"]]') = 1)) and ((contains(object_value,'(nexip) inpath(/permission/resource/resourcekey/field/@value)') > 0) or (contains(object_value,'(Corporate) inpath(/permission/resource/resourcekey/field/@value)') > 0) or (contains(object_value,'(ProcurementAgreement) inpath(/permission/resource/resourcekey/field/@value)') > 0) or (contains(object_value,'(Procurement) inpath(/permission/resource/resourcekey/field/@value)') > 0) or (contains(object_value,'(SalesAgreement) inpath(/permission/resource/resourcekey/field/@value)') > 0)) )
Then after checking some forum, i replaced "contains" with "ora:contains" and executed the query. Now im not getting the first error but got a new error "invalid relational operator"
So please help me in resolving the errors?
Thanks in advance.
