Particular Schema connecting time is very long in 11gR2

Hi Friends,
I am using Oracle 11g R2 database
A particular user (user1) is taking long time to connect to the database either in the local server itself(without tns) / From client machine with Toad/sql developer/application (with tns).
Other users are connecting fast.
The only difference is that the user1 is mapped to a a different tablespace (ts1) and other users are in default tablespace(users)
What could be the issue?
Regards,
DB

The user's default tablespace has nothing to do with how long it takes to open a connection.
The way to determine for sure what the problem is would be to trace the connection. My guess, though, is that there is some sort of login trigger that is doing something that is unique for this user.

good day. as I can do to update my iphone 4 to the latest version of ios 5. whenever you connect to the pc and try to update the waiting time is very long, sometimes up to 12 hours and despite the wait always produce an error message for a long time waiting

Disable ALL security software (firewall, antivirus/spyware, etc.) running on your PC while updating.

  • Start up time is very long, since the 10.10.3 update

Ever since the 10.10.3 update the start up time has been very long; a blue screen will show for about 20-30 sec then the apple sign will show, after entering my password the loading time is at least 10-20 sec longer than usual. Any ideas on what i can do to stop this?

  • EXP time is very long

    Hi,
    in 10g R2 our export :
    EXP user/password BUFFER=102400 FILE=fiel LOG=LOG_FILE FULL=Y
It is very long , about 16 hours.
Any parameter to optimize this duration ?
    Many thanks before.

I also had issues exporting our 1TB database when we wrote out while it was being hammered by updates. Export has to keep a consistent snapshot (if you use consistent=y) and this is problematic on high update systems. We use direct=y as well.
If you can justify the cost of SAN's and SAN copy software there is a solution, use this to replicate the database to another copy and then export from that.
You will get a three fold benefit you remove the overhead of the export from live and also the export from a static copy will be much faster. Lastly because we have a complete backup on disk we have also been able to backup from the copy therefore also removing the load of the backup from live.

  • Backup to time capsule very long

I had a backup issue and had to delete the computer sparsebubdle image and backup again.
Time Capsule is 2T, available 1.60T. I need to backup 950G and it is VERY slow. Is has backed up only 75G in 2 days and it estimates to need 20 more days   Is it a normal spped? If not what should I do?
    thanks, Cris

Do you mean the TC (Time Capsule) and not TM (Time Machine)?
When you say the iMac is directly connected to the TC (your TM) do you mean it is phyiscally connected to the iMac by USB or Firewire cable? Or that the iMac is Wired to your internet Router and or Time Capsule by Ethernet cable. Because one it totally different then the other.
At most I get around 85 to 100+ MBs (that is Mega Bytes a Second) going over my Gigabit Ethernet LAN from one computer to another both with FAST drivers in them. When going from one of my computers to another that is older and has slower drivers sometimes I only get 35-50 MBs transfers.
If you take both of those numbers and divide them into your total 950GBs of data the time to transfer all of it would be DAYS if not weeks.
You are backing up 950GBs. That is Nine Hundred Fifty "Billion" Bytes (Nine Hundred Fifty "Thousand" "Million" Bytes) (950000, Million) of data. At any of the normal current transfer rates available to the Home and Small Business market, at a reasonal price, that transfer is goiing to take what you are seeing.
Even if you had a 2 or 3 Terabyte (That is Trillion or 1 thousand Billion) external connected directly to your Mac, even at USB 3 speeds or Thunderbolt speeds, the transfer would take almost as long. If you only had USB 2 speeds it would take longer. So no don't disconnect it just let it run.
But I suggest you go through all the files you have and find some you don't need or that you can off load to an external drives that do not need to be on your internal Mac hard drive. 950GBs of Data is a whole lot of Data.
I've been usiing computers for over 20 years and have most every file I have ever created, and do a lot of photography, along with tons of Work files and don't have near that much data on any of my computers.

  • Small multi-colored wheel, load time is very long, it's like it freezes up, I have to force quite it sometimese

Small multi-colored spinning wheel shows up, it just keeps spinning and spinning, takes long time to load. Sometimes I have to force quite, to get it to stop. Does anyone know the name for it, and how to get reed of it?

I just went trough this on my iMac.  The spinning wheel is jokingly refurred to as the "Spinning Beach Ball Of Death" or SBBOD.  Take a look at the following link: http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/sbbod.html
After about an hour on the phone with apple support, I ended up completly restoring the system and files from Time Machine.

  • Call connection times are long

    Hello,
I have iPhone 5 and I live in Turkey. When I want to call someone, my call's connection times are very long. For example, when I pressed call button, I have to wait 9-10 sec to hear first ring tone. I have had this problem with my previous and new service provider. I think this is a device problem.
Is it OK to connect a call in 9-10 second to someone? Or my device has a problem. What can I do for that? If I bring my device to Apple store in Europe (in international warranty), can I switch it with a new one ?
    Thank you.

That is weird, but sounds like a carrier issue...
I have been to Europe with the iPhone 4S call connections should be nearly instant (1-3 seconds lag, if any)
In America, the traversal time from the phone to the network is about 5-6 seconds.
So, for you, 10 seconds is strange.

  • Windows loading time is too long!

After I installed Desktop manager  ver4.6 to my PC .  PC loading time  is very long,
It takes 3 minutes to load  desktop screen when turning on PC .  (without Desktop Manager it takes one and 30 minutes)
Does Anyone have same issue ?         OS: XP pro
After  finish loading  I do not feel slow.
    please help me out .
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Do you have the Desktop Manager set to load when the computer boots up? If so you can disable that by going into Add/Remove Programs, select the Desktop Manager and hit the Change/Remove button. Hit Modify, select the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and hit Next. You want to keep going through the wizard to pick the same options you did when installing it. When you're on the last screen before you hit 'Install' uncheck the box that says to start the Desktop Manager when the computer starts.

  • Is there any way to connect time capsule to a MacBook Pro directly via USB. I have a large amount of data that I want to back up and it is taking a very long time (35GB is taking 3 hrs, I have 2TB if files in total)...)?

Perhaps via USB. I have a large amount of data that I want to back up and it is taking a very long time (35GB is taking 3 hrs, I have 2TB if files in total)...? I want to use TimeCapsule as back-up for an archive which is curently stored on a 2 TB WESC HD.

No, you cannot backup via direct usb connection..
But gigabit ethernet is much faster anyway.. are you connected directly by ethernet?
Is the drive you are backing up from plugged into the TC? That will slow it down something chronic.. plug that drive in by its fastest connection method.. WESC sorry I have no idea. If ethernet use that.. otherwise USB direct to the computer.. always think what way the files come and go.. but since you are copying from the computer everything has to go that way.. it makes things slower if they go over the same cable.. if you catch the drift.

  • Web pages taking a very long time to load; nothing wrong with my internet connection.

I've contacted my ISP and they've told me there is nothing wrong on their end and that my modem is running perfectly. I've done a speed test and my upload is 33mbps+ and download is 5.5mbps+.
The problem is, it takes webpages a very long time to load. Sometimes longer than others, but sometimes it's so long I give up. There doesn't seem to be a difference between when I type in a URL or an IP address directly into the address bar.
One night last week I completely lost the ability to connect to any webpages, and then when I woke up in the morning I was having these problems with connection speed, and the problem has persisted for several days.

    Hello Billyeee,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with Wi-Fi on your MacBook Pro.  I would be concerned about this too.

  • After installing Lion my time machine using a Time capsule backups take a very long time, particularly indexing the back up, does any one know why and a fix?

I have installed Lion over Snow Leopard and noticed a marked increase in the time it takes my time capsule/time machine to back up.  It seems to spend a very long time indexing the back up.  Does any one know why and more importantly is there a "fix"?

The first index with Lion takes a very long time.  Could take over 10 hours.  You just have to wait.  You can see the progress by opening Console and entering backupd in the search box

  • Why is it that Photoshop Elements takes a very long time to open a png file?

Even though I wait for a very long time (minutes)  for Photoshop Elements 11 to open a PNG file, the computer's process monitor shows nothing discernible going on while I am waiting.
This is on a Windows 7 machine with an Intel I7 4 core processor.

I killed Firefox and Thunderbird and tried it again.  Using a stopwatch, it took 5 minutes 54 seconds to open the file.  In the interim the application windows were frozen.  The process monitor showed Photoshop not responding.  The thread analysis showed a thread waiting on splwow64.exe.
splwow64.exe allows 32-bit applications to connect with the 64-bit printer spooler service on x64 Windows builds.
I should also point out that when I exit Photoshop, it does not seem to die.  I cannot restart it in the normal way.  The starter software just goes away when I click on PE 11.  I finally fo into the task monitor and kull the PhotoshopElements process.  Then I can restart Photoshop Elements.  Although after a long time since I exited PE while I was writing this post, I then just tried opening PE the normal way and it worked.  Many of these items I mention are probably red herrings.

  • [Systemd] Very long boot time

I have a very long boot time with my Arch.
    Startup finished in 828766ms (kernel) + 63430ms (userspace) = 892196ms
Especially after login into gnome, it takes quite a while until the desktop is visible. In meanwhile, I only see the wallpaper.  Does anyone has a suggestion how to fix that?

  • SM59 - Remote Logon taking very long time - RFC is receiver

    Hi Friends,
We have ABAP connection (SM59) to R/3 system from PI system.  The connection test is fine. But, when we click the Remote Logon from SM59, it is taking very long time. It is unable to login.
Due to this, messages are in scheduled state in the receiver CC monitoring. (SOAP to RFC - Async ). Receiver RFC CC also are green.
We checked with R/3 team, the remote user which is used in SM59 is not locked in R/3 system and password also not changed.
Friends, kindly clarify why it is taking very long time from PI in SM59 when the connection is fine.
    Kind regards,
    Jegathees P.

    Hi Sabarish,
I checked in SM58. There are no entries.  SM59 is for other interfaces (IDoc).  In the Message Monitoring all messages showing 'To be Delivered' and 'Delivering' from yesterday onwards. In the CC monitoring, it shows 'Message Processing Started' from yesterday onwards. But not completed.
I checked in SM21 take log of type 'RD'.  I doubt is this the correct log for this problem.
The specified operating system call was returned with an error.        |
For communication calls (receive, send, etc) often the cause of errors
    are network problems.
It could also be a configuration problem at operating system level.
(file cannot be opened, no space in the file system etc.).
Additional specifications for error number 146
    Name for errno number ECONNREFUSED
Interprocess communication (e.g. TCP/IP) connection refused by partner.
    |This usually means that the necessary receiver program is not running.
    Kindly clarify.
    Kind regards,
    Jegathees P.
