Particular types of websites won't work

I have a MacBook Air. I have been using it with no troubles for about 3 months. I am using it for work (I run a fabric shop and upload photos of the fabrics for people to buy). I am trying to use websites like www.craftumi.com and www.hand-made.com.au but these sites will not work on this laptop. I have reset safari, emptied cache, deleted cookies, reset my internet settings, firewall on/off, adjust proxy settings, updated software etc - pretty much everything within my knowledge plus the knowledge of a few friends/relatives/co-workers. I am using wifi internet.
No-one has had the answer.
What happens is when I try to load the website it starts to load and then just stops (craftumi), the hand-made site won't load at all. It was fine when I signed up and set up my account but now it won't appear at all. I have tested these sites on several other computers and they work fine. My sister bought the same laptop at the same time and these websites work on hers but not mine.
I NEED these sites to run my business, I need to be able to access them from this laptop, not running around using other people's computers.
Similar sites like etsy and ebay work with no problems. I have contacted the owners of the above websites but they have no ideas either/or have suggested the things I have already tried.
Has anyone any idea what this is? Why my laptop won't access these sites?
Should I take it to be serviced?

I've tried clicking links in emails, from Facebook, google and typing in the addresses but nothing works. The page starts to load and gets maybe halfway and then just stops and sits there thinking.
It just seems to be these craft websites - maybe there's some clash between internal programming of the site and something that is just different on my laptop than anyone else's.
Now that I have the Hand-made one working I think I will just give up on the other one.

After safari 7.1.3 upgrade some features and links in websites won't work

I upgraded to safari 7.1.3 for mavericks. I have a macbook pro 13". Everything worked fine before, but after the upgrade some features and links in different websites just wont work. what can I do? Also different pop ups like mackeeper keep coming up, and that didn't happen before.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem. You may have installed a variant of the "VSearch" ad-injection malware. Follow Apple Support's instructions to remove it.
If you have trouble following those instructions, see below.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. This procedure works as of now, as far as I know. It may not work in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for a more recent discussion, or start a new one.
The VSearch malware tries to hide itself by varying the names of the files it installs. To remove it, you must first identify the naming pattern.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
A folder named "LaunchDaemons" may open. Look inside it for two files with names of the form
          com.something.daemon.plist
and
           com.something.helper.plist
Here something is a variable string of characters, which can be different in each case. So far it has always been a string of letters without punctuation, such as "cloud," "dot," "highway," "submarine," or "trusteddownloads." Sometimes it's a meaningless string such as "e8dec5ae7fc75c28" rather than a word. Sometimes the string is "apple," and then you must be especially careful not to delete the wrong files, because many built-in OS X files have similar names.
If you find these files, leave the LaunchDaemons folder open, and open the following folder in the same way:
/Library/LaunchAgents
In this folder, there may be a file named
          com.something.agent.plist
where the string something is the same as before.
If you feel confident that you've identified the above files, back up all data, then drag just those three files—nothing else—to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Close the Finder windows and restart the computer.
Don't delete the "LaunchAgents" or "LaunchDaemons" folder or anything else inside either one.
The malware is now permanently inactivated, as long as you never reinstall it. You can stop here if you like, or you can remove two remaining components for the sake of completeness.
Open this folder:
/Library/Application Support
If it has a subfolder named just
           something
where something is the same string you saw before, drag that subfolder to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Application Support" folder or anything else inside it.
Finally, in this folder:
/System/Library/Frameworks
there may an item named exactly
            v.framework
It's actually a folder, though it has a different icon than usual. This item always has the above name; it doesn't vary. Drag it to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Frameworks" folder or anything else inside it.
If you didn't find the files or you're not sure about the identification, post what you found.
If in doubt, or if you have no backups, change nothing at all.
The trouble may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Then, still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
          Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
          Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
if it's not already checked.

Using WMV on a Website Won't Work...

I'm trying to open a video on a website (no, not that kind of video...) and it uses WMV. So I have tried downloading it for Mac and it doesn't work. I also tried Flip4Mac and VLC but nothing is working.
How do I download something to get this video to work on the page?

My computer is Windows, and it uses Windows media player to play those video files (i think wmv means windows media video), so you could try this from Microsoft.

"podcast" media type in options won't work on MP3s in iTunes 11

Why won't "podcast" MEDIA TYPE selection in OPTIONS work with mp3s anymore in iTunes 11? Trying to save some of my mp3s from a class as podcasts. I do this so I can run them at 1.5x speed and get through them faster. The option to change media type to PODCAST, when selected, doesn't stay selected. It keeps defaulting back to MUSIC. This just started with the new iTunes.

So I have a 3D array finally. Now I want to index that array and display the contents of a certain element on a new array. When I index a 2D array, this method works just fine. But when I change it to 3D array, Labview gives me the following error:
You have connected two terminals of different types. The type of the source is string. The of the sink is 1D array of string.
So I'm assuming the 1D arry it speaks of is referring to the indicator array that the index should spout out the contents of the element I'm looking for. And the source string is the 3D array. I've tried changing the dimensions of the 1D array to match that of the source 3D array, but nothing is working yet. I've attached a pic of the problem below.

This might be another problem of understanding what the data represents. You are telling the code that you have a 3D array, and you want to pull out a single element, a scalar string, by specifying the row, the column and the page to find the data. But then you are trying to display this single item into a indicator that is a 1D array. You are trying to display a single cell of data, into a column of data. Either replace your 1D array with a scalar string, or when you index your array specify a row or column to display.

Illustrator CS4 Type Tool: Selecting won't work by double click or click and drag.

I'm not exactly sure what happened, but suddenly my Type Tool can not select type by double clicking or click and drag any more.
I'm using Illustrator CS4 (14.0.0) on a MacPro with OSX 10.6.8. Can someone please suggest what might be happening and how to resolve this problem?

There is a functional reason for this depending on how you work if you read yup about it in the help files i think they explain it well as i recalled it was exxplained well in the manual when they had one.
It is not a change it has been this way for a long time and the options serve different users in a helpful way. hough it wwould be helpful to have a toggle of some kind.

Some websites won't work after install

I installed SL on my iMac and for the most part I'm happy with it. I recently purchased Photoshop CS4 upgrade but had issues with it. SL solved all of those problems.
...but it created a new problem.
I cannot go to certain websites after upgrading to SL. Facebook and Twitter for example but there are several others. It states that it cannot find the server.
I did not install snow on my laptop and I can get to those sites fine on that computer.
A friend of mine purchased snow and just called me to let me know that he's having the exact same issues.
Anyone else have these problems? Do you have a solution??

Hey, my brothers computer is doing some of the same things you guys have going on. For him, he cant login to citizens bank or upload photos on facebook. I have tried it with safari, firefox and opera and still the same results. Every other website works fine for him. As for it being the host site, I have 2 machines myself that have 10.6 on it and they have no problems. If I can ask, how old or new is everyones computer. My thought is that is deals with only certain models, mine are a few years old, and his is new. Another person I know upgraded a new IMac, purchased around the same time as my brothers, and when he installed it gave him and error. Now his Mobile me is screwed up, wont sync, doesnt detect iphone and god knows what else. Has anybody figured out a way yet. Besides trying the browsers, I have cleared caches, did new installs of firefox and opera, and still nothing. Maybe this is Apples version of Microsoft 2000.

No Pageload as soon as applying update from FF18.0.2 to FF19.0 and the solution in website won't work

Flash Player won't work on a specific website

I have the latest version of Flash Player installed, it works on all the various browsers that I have, and in general it works fine. However there is one particular website where it doesn't work. It shows me other user's video, but it won't broadcast from my webcam, I just get a black square where my cam should be. Can anyone help please?

correct. idk why it refuses to work. this is frustrating because the new habbo is going to run on a flash player and i wont be able to access the site. -.-' its so frustrating

"completion insight" and "change case as you type" won't work for sql file

Hi there,
Just updated to 3.1 on my Mac Lion. It's very likely a bug since it used the work with 3.0.
I have a "temp.sql" file where I store several queries. I start SQL Developer, open "temp.sql", connect to a DB but "completion insight" and "change case as you type" won't work anymore.
If I click in "Unshared SQL Worksheet", the new worksheet tab will work fine with completion and change case, but I want to use my temp.sql and save things there when closing the application.
To reproduce yourself the issue:
Open SQL Dev, connect to a DB (it will open a worksheet), do some queries and check that change case and completion are working, quit SQL Dev, but save the worksheet in a sql file before. Re-open SQL Dev and open the sql file. Connect to the same DB and try to change the queries or create another. Completion and change case won't work anymore.

Well, it's partially working, if your sql file is big (like mine), say with more than 1000 lines, then, maybe because of memory usage, the automatic completion won't work as expected, though, sometimes, after a while, crtl-space would stil work.
So, the problem may have been addressed, but I believe this feature can be definitely improved.

By 'won't work' you mean ? If you are getting an error message then what does it say ?
For a card to have a chance of being accepted it needs to be registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, and have been issued by a bank in the country where you and your iTunes account are.

FP won't work on several websites

To begin, I'm french, so sorry for any language mistakes I may make.
I've a very annoying problem with Flash Player. It works on certain websites and won't work on others. For example, I can play a Youtube Video but not a Dailymotion video, or I can't access to my Deezer playlists (really annoying !!).
I'm running Windows Seven Ultimate 32 bits.
I've already read the 15 first pages of this forum, finding some problems that look like mine... but none of the solutions exposed solved my problem.
When I right clik on a Flash content, then "settings" (in french "paramètres"), I can change settings but they are not saved when I close the pop-up. So I can't disable hardware acceleration, can't set storage settings to "unlimited" (always on "none", in french "aucun"). I think the problem is here.
I've tried to uninstall/reboot/reinstall FP more than 20 times...
I've disabled any Antivirus, firewall than could block FP.

I've also tried to remove files from %APPDATA%/Macromedia/ (but I haven't found the other folder : %APPDATA%/Adobe/Flash Player)

I get to it using my browser, Chrome. Options->Under The Hood->content Settings-.Cookies->Adobe Flash Player Settings (which is a link at the bottom of that dialog). IE may use something different, since IE uses an ActiveX control for Flash, not a .dll as does Chrome, Firefox and most others.

When I type something in the Google or Youtube dialog box I can't erase it or edit it. Unable to backspace either. Cursor won't work.
