Partition type for PCC and Intel??

Ok, getting very confused!!!
I have a PowerBook G4 which will have leopard installed next week. I'm also in the process of ordering a intel imac which both machines will be kept in sync using Chronosync.
I have a Iomega 500Gb firewire 800 hard drive that I want to use for time machine and clone backup, however, what type of partition do I use that will support booting both my PPC and Intel machines if the worst happens?
From what I can gather APM will boot both machines, is this right, does it have any disadvantages over GUID?

The theory is that one leopard system can boot both PPC and intel. The problem is that the Leopard install can only be installed upon an APM disc by the PPC machine. Theoretically, if you do your Leopard install onto a firewire drive from a ppc machine, then it should be dual bootable.
Your theory about cloning the leopard install disc is not suitable since it does not include the various "application support" necessities and other appropriate pieces specific to your apps including iLife. Tis one reason that they say that you will need to reinstall iLife 08 if you don't do an upgrade install.
theoretically, you could boot both from an leopard system installed by a ppc machine onto an external firewire drive. You cannot install the intel leopard via intel except to the gpt/guid format. Also, you can boot an intel machine from an external USB drive but you cannot boot a ppc machine from an external usb drive. (already tried to install Leopard to a USB drive and I failed, Leopard install will not install from ppc to usb, but will install from ppc to firewire.) Firewire boots either intel or ppc and thus can be installed from either.

I have a G4 mini and an Intel Macbook and one USB harddrive to back them up with time machine. I think I'll connect the drive to the mini and share the drive so I can back up the Macbook.
Anyway, I was reading:

and it says to choose the "Apple Partition Map" scheme for use with PPC and "GUID" for use with Intel. Anyway, I was wondering what I should choose when I need to use it with both processor types.

1. You can create new PR and PO docu types at the following path:
For PR docu type:
First you need to create number range for docu type or you can use existing number range also. The path for creation of no. range is
SPRO>Materials Management->Purchasing->Purchase Requisition->Define Number Ranges
Then create PR docu type at below path and assign no. range to PR docu type here only
SPRO>Materials Management->Purchasing->Purchase Requisition->Define Document Types
For PO docu type:
Follow same procedure as mentioned for PR docu type. Path is
SPRO>Materials Management->Purchasing->Purchase Order->Define Number Ranges
SPRO>Materials Management>Purchasing->Purchase Order->Define Document Types
If you want to create PO referencing new PR docu type, link the PR docu type to PO docu type at below path:
SPRO>Materials Management->Purchasing->Purchase Requisition->Define Document Types--> Link purchase requisition - document type

When I try to create an external content type based on a view (AdventureWorks2012.vSalesPerson) - I can display the data in an external list. When I attempt to edit it, I get an error:
External List fails when attached to a SQL view
Sorry, something went wrong
Failed to update a list item for this external list based on the Entity (External Content Type) 'SalesForce' in EntityNamespace 'http://xxxxxxxx'. Details: The query against the database caused an error.
I can edit the view in SQL Manager, so it seems strange that it fails.
Any advice would be greatly GREATLY appreciated.

If both Condition types are Quantity basis then you can Create New Condition types by Referring FRA1 & FRC1 Condition types.
Else Create New Condition types called ZCCH for Clearing Charges by giving the Following inputs:
Condition class A
Calculation Type A
Condition Category B
Plus/Minus A
Also in Control data Check Accruals option and in Scales tab give Scale Value as 2 if want.
Create New Condition types called ZLNC for Landing Charges by giving the Following inputs:
Condition class A
Calculation Type A
Plus/Minus A
Uncheck Accruals options and save.

While posting the transactions by using FBCJ T.Code u can select the Receipts or Payments or Expenses then the documents will be genereted. FBCJ02 is the T.Code for no.range there u can assign the no.range intervels.

There is no constraint or limitation in using the same production order type for MTS and MTO . Settings in requirement class and material master will mainly control whether the flow is MTS or MTO.

If you mean that big issue where you threaten (and locally actually already did) to remove all the niceties of auto-magic column binding via setting property names - yeah, I've read it, partly unhappily. But that's another story.

No, as far as I know, each one is completely separate - especially if you're dealing with two different versions of OS's.

I've personally never done it on a running drive - have read it's possible, but don't want to suggest it since I've never done it and wouldn't be sure about the steps. This is how I got to two partitions on my iMac:
Originally, I had just one partition with Snow Leopard. I used CCC to clone that to an external drive. Booted into that drive and used DU to partition and erase the internal. I then cloned the new clone back. Also cloned the same thing to the other partition which I then upgraded to Lion. So I had two OS's - SL and Lion. I've now decided to clone my SL to an external drive for occasional use and installed ML on that partition - so now I have Lion and ML.
There are two ways to get a "fresh" install: either download the OS again and install it on a partition of your choice or, as I've done as well, copy the installer to a safe place so you don't need to download it again. It does include whatever apps/software is included in the OS. I've designated two smaller partitions on externals as my "fresh" installs of both Lion and ML for emergency or reinstall purposes (this is my way of dealing with not having install DVDs) - I took the time to install it there and then slowly add fresh installs of my important apps (either via download or install CD) - don't bother with the little/less used stuff, a current copy of that can be downloaded if and when I need it. I don't really update those two - that can also be done if/when I need it since that'll always change.
So, yesterday, I decided I wanted to start fresh with ML - booted into my fresh install of Lion (on external), wiped the SL partition on my internal and installed Lion. Decided to download a fresh copy of the ML installer and installed that. Then ran Software Update. After that, repaired permissions. Then I methodically opened every third party app and checked for updates - installed those where necessary. After all that, I simply copied (drag 'n drop) my entire Documents folder (which contains all my important data,, photos, etc) over from another backup.
This took a while, but mostly because of the long download times; the installs weren't all that bad. I should be running a really clean system now, especially since nothing was ported over except my Documents folder.

U can use the data type DEC while creating the DOMAIN and in the domain u have sign check box at the left corner of the screen, click that check box , u can assign negative values for the field which refers this domain.

"Hello, I have gotten the PowerPC version of ClamXav working with very little issue and works perfect from my test. To get it running, launch it normal and let it bounce for 10 seconds. After that, force quit it and on the program, right click or hold Ctrl and left click and then click show package contents. After that, go to contents and then resources and run 'clamavEngineInstaller.pkg'. After that, run as usual."
Google "ClamXav Intel MacFixit" to find the instructions.
Download ClamXav at www.clamxav.com.
It is freeware but I found it well worth donating to.

Welcome aboard Jany,No need to get your panties all bunched up about running Windows on your Mac...The beauty of running Windows on the Mac is even if the windows partition does get zaped with spyware and virusus it won't and can't jump over to your os10 partition...If you think about it why surf with the windows side when you can use Safari or Firefox on the Mac while running your Windows apps at the same time?
There area few percautions you can take to put yourself at rest, first make sure to always let Windows updates install themselves if you are going to surf the internet with Windows....also use Microsoft Defender which IMO is a great spyware program. Make sure that you have a router which does block unwanted incoming traffic or just do what I do and turn off your internet connection on the Windows side,that will guarantee no spyware or virusus.

Partitioning Drive for Mac and PC to deliver 10GB video file

I need to deliver several video files to a client on a drive.
Because some of the clips are over 10GB I cannot use the drive in its current FAT state.
I want / need the drive to be read by both Mac AND PC.
If this is the case, and I cannot use FAT, should I partition the drive into TWO partitions?
If so, should I then make one partition for Mac and the other for PC... then upload the video files twice, once to each partition?
Is there an alternative? How do I make the drive partitioned for both allowing the video to be ready by both Mac and PC.
Can I do what needs to be done using Disk Utility?
What 2 formats should I use? Is MS-DOS (FAT) the windows based partition, and is that the only one? And won't that not work for my issue of needing to load a file over 4 gigs?
What partition scheme do I want? It appears I can only use one partition scheme... or is this incorrect?
I'm using Mac OS X 10.5.5
Computer is Mac G5. Drive is the WD 250GB passport.

If you format the drive as Microsft NTFS, there will be no problem with split files.

The PC needs to be running Win NT, 2000, XP, Vista etc to read the NTFS format.

You can create zee condition types on your own and maintain the required datas. I am just give you one example for insurance.
Go to V/06, copy some standard discount condition type and rename it as ZEIN and maintain the following:-

In V/07, you can maintain the following tables

So in VK11, either you can maintain the insurance percentage for Incoterm or Customer, so that whenever you generate sales order with multiple line items, this condition will automatically bifurcate the insurance percentage. Also the most important is that in your pricing procedure, against this condition type, you have to assign EIN as Account Key.

Dear Friends,
We have configured different exchange rate types for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable thru T Code OB07. What are the additional Config steps required to ensure that the respective buying and selling rates will apply to Accounts Payables and Receivables. We do not want to stipulate the exchange rate types in Document Types as this special exchange rates are applicable only for one of the Company Codes.

Then you can use a different document type for those company codes and can default the exchange rate type there.

The alternative wya is to use the substitution in OBBH/ GGB1 for those company codes with exit programming.
