Partner Content - Change namespaces

Is it possible to change content namespaces from the standard /BIC/XXXX to a new namespace after the objects have been developed in the DWW ?

I mean you can do it at Database level, check with your BASIS/Oracle guys, you will get the answer.
For example you can Copy a Infocube, from an exsisting one, this is Standard functionality, and then create an Export Datasource on your Old Infocube and use this Export Datasource to load all data in New Cube using Transformation/DTP (or Update RUles)
And same can be done at Database level using some simple SQL Statements.

Updated Unbranded Partner Content

With all the changes happening over the past few weeks (and months), all the unbranded partner content is becoming woefully out of date.
Is there going to be an update to this content? Specifically the admin screenshots, pricing plans, links to triange/sitewalk and more and more. Looking at the content, it doesn't look like its been updated in 3 years (pre Adobe?), and so many things have changed since then.

Most of that stuff will likely just be deleted. Can't say for sure if we will see new white labelled sales tools or not. The Triangle extension will no longer be available after June 30th either.

Changing Namespace section of the XML

Hello Peter,
if i see that correctly, XI currently puts in an XML namespace whereas your partner expects no namespace at all. This can easily be achieved in XI. Just go to your message type, change to edit mode and then delete the value in field XML Namespace. This will delete the targetNamespace tag from the XSD definition so that all messages will be generated without a message namespace. The principial behind this is, that the XML namespace is not necessarily the same as the Integration Repository Namespace of the objects in XI but will be set to the repository namespace by default.

Need Enhancement spot in Business Partner Creation/Change

Hi all ,
In Business partner creation/Change screen(Tcode BP),if pressing BACK or CANCEL button without saving data, it will ask for confirmation that Want to save data or not.If we press YES it will save the data,or if we press NO it won't. Is there any Enhancement spot (User exit or BADi) available after triggering the above confirmation message.If so kindly intimate me the Exit name or BADi name.

How to configure mail notification on a folder content change?

Hello,
I would like to configure a mail notification whenever a certain folder's content changes. In order to acomplish this I did the following:
1. Configured new email Channel with the exchange address.
2. Assigned this channel to the Notificator service.
3. Subscribed to the requested folder with "Every Event".
The problem is that I don't receive mail notifications on change. What am I doing wrong or missing here?

Hi,
Don't use exchange.... use an SMTP hostname if you have access to one!
It is a lot easier as all you need is the hostname of the SMTP server without having to worry about authorizations.

Restricting the partner address change in both VA01 & VA02

Hi All,
In Sales Order Creation / Change i need to make the partner address fields editable but want a restriction on save.
For that i am doing the following:
Change:
This is possible by restricting the update comparing YVBPA & XVBPA table using parameter UPDKZ.
Create:
In the create scenario YVBPA table remains empty.Are there any other tables I should look at to restrict this address data change?
However, there is a table XVBADR , changes to which do not influence the final display address.
Alternatively , do we have an alternative approach to restrict the partner address change in both VA01 & VA02?

IDOC Sender Partner has changed after transporting Integration Directory ob

Greetings,
After we did a transport from QA to PR for a new interface (Intergration Directory) objects were transported,
The sender partner has changed to QA in all outbound IDOCs generated in XI PR.
I checked the adapter-specific identifiers and it is showing as production.
Any hint where I should check?

Found it in the filesystem communication channel as QA and changed it to PR

A script that can be used to track text content changes in indesign?

Is there a possibility a script that can be used to track text content changes in indesign. My Indesign software's version is CS3. As you can see below, I have deleted some texts and added some. I did it in another software.
I have been searched for a long time. Because of my poor English, I still can't come up with any Object Model related to the script yet.
Here is some idea of mine:
Use the script tracking my revising texts. When I add some new texts, the texts will be underlined. When I delete some texts, the position of the first character of the removed text will be added a small red triangle or something.

Subcribe a Portal User Group to content change events on page?

Another developer at my shop has created a custom routine that programmatically subscribes the given user to content change events on a page. At the heart of their custom routine are the following Oracle Portal API calls:
portal.wwctx_api_private.set_context( v_user );
portal.wwsbr_app_approval.subscribe
p_object_context_id => v_siteid,
p_page_id => v_pageid
...where v_user is the account we want to subscribe for notification of content changes on the given page.
I have a need to extend this to allow subscriptions of Portal User Groups (PUGs) for the same content change events. It is not acceptable to statically subscribe the PUG membership, because I do not want a situation where today I subscribe all the members of group X, then tomorrow the membership of group X changes, but the list of subscribed users does not change automatically with the group membership modification. I could just as well manually subscribe each group member without going through the hassle of coding a modified subscription UI and backend routine to handle groups.
Any suggestions?

My shop is currently on 10g R1 (9.0.4.3). We will be upgrading to 10g R2 (10.1.2) in a few months, but this is not the 10.1.4 version your document link points to. Is CMEF included actually usable in 10.1.2?
Also, publish and subscribe solves a particular set of design issues and allows for a certain degree of flexibility of usage, however, I don't see any built-in support for the User Groups that Portal provides for assigning basic page permissions. It's the group support that I'm interested in...and I don't want to have to create duplications of groups outside of what I already have. I don't want to have to write an entire application infrastructure to support outside group membership maintenance just for supporting subscription notifications. This should have already been built-in to interface with the existing Portal page permissions group framework. At our shop, a lot of effort has already been put into setting up and maintaining these built-in groups and we should be able to re-use them for something as brain dead simple as subscription notification.
I've already given up and opened an enhancement request "TAR" for this.

IW31 and IW32 Partner Address Changes button

Hi all,
We want to restrict users from changing and viewing the partners' addresses that can be accessed via the Partner Address button under the "Partner" tab in transaction code IW32, but I don't believe there is an user exit/enhancement exit available for us to restrict this. I understand this address change will only apply to the work order itself, and won't affrect the master data, however, our users would like to restrict this function(partner address changes and view). Does anyone know of an user exit that I can use to restrict the partner addresses function using authorization objects or can this be handled via configuration, etc,? Or even, did anyone experience the same scenario and what did you do to handle this?

How can I change namespace prefix for JAX-RPC client request?

I'm creating a JAX-RPC client to invoke a RPC/encoded web service. The service was generated from a ColdFusion program and for some reason when the SOAP namespace prefix is anything but "soapenv" it returns text/html instead of text/xml. Currently the client is sending requests with the prefix "env" and I'd like to change it to "soapenv".
I created a type of javax.xml.rpc.handler.GenericHandler and attempted to do the follow:

What I ended up doing is converting the SOAP message to a string, replacing the namespace prefix and converting it back to a SOAP message.

Partner function change in sales order

Hi,
I have partner function ZR (sales employee) defined for customer master. I enter a particular employee no 100 in the customer master. and subsequnetly the partner function ZR gets copied into a contract with value 100.
now another user is trying to change the value to 200 from 100, but the system is giving a message that partner function ZR not defned for partner procedure.
If i go to partner determination for sales order , then i see that there is no partner function ZR assigned for a patner procedure.
my question is that the above is happening due to lack of master data for emploee id 200 from HR module or is it that we have to maitain partner function ZR for sales order (I have seen that ZR is not maintained for sales order. ).Iam assuming that for contracts aslo, the config needs to be done in parnter determination for sales order.

Hi Sachin,
I assume that you have configured the partner functions for Customer master including ZR, also enabled ZR for the partner procedure applicable for the sales document type.
If this is done, then the partner function ZR should be available for entry in the sales order.
Now the problem is that
You shoudl have assigned the partner function ZR to some account group, while creating this partner function, and customer 100 shoudl have belonged to this account group.
However the customer 200 whom you want to update as the new ZR doesnt belong to this account group.
You can use only those customers belonging to the account group which is linked to the partner function ZR as sales employees.
So find out the customers belonging to the account group, which is linked to the partner function ZR. Make sure their masterdata is correct for the sales area which you wnat to use. If all the things satisfy, then you should be able to use them as ZR partner in your sales document.
This should solve your problem.

Not able to update the partner with a new partner during change order ?

I want to update a partner which is present in a sales order with a new partner. When i create a new order, i ll give partner function ship-to-party and partner no 1 for this partner function. And from a fucntion module, i want to change this partner no 1 to partner no 2 but when i try to pass the required values to crm_order_maitain, it is adding a new line in partner tab as same partner function and partner no 2 but my requirement is to update from 1 to 2. How to do this??

Change namespace in generated WebService

Hello experts,
i have to provide a webservice with three methods for an external Client.
So i created three functions in a function group. From the function group i autocreated my webservice with the wizzard. I changed the external/internal mapping properly, activate the webservice and create with soamanager a service and an endpoint and so on...
When i create a client with the autogenerated WSDL from the WebService, i can call and reach the autogenerated Webservice from this client.
The problem is: The external client cant reach our webservice. We have solved all problems with firewalls and certificates. The remaining problem is the namespace. The external clients request (we cant change it and have to provide a suitable webservice) with the namespace "urn:extnamespace" cant reach our servicepoint (error "service >extnamespace:Connect< not supported") :

The wizzard have automaticaly generated the namespace "urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions". The external Client use another namespace. We have no option to change the external client or request of it. We need to provide a suitable WebService which use the same namespace.
We found no possibility to say the generation wizzard to use another namespace. Also we found no possibility with soamanager to change it. When we change the namespace in XSLT-Transformation with STRANS and call the WebService from our test client, we get allways the error "service >extnamespace:Connect< not supported".

If there is no way to change the namespace, we have to create the webservice manually. Is there a suitable example for this job available?

We have created a server interface in XI with the wsdl excepted by the external client. Then created a server proxy with this interface in our sap system. Then we have implemented the generated methodes by calling existing functions. It works fine.
