PARTNER DETERMINATION FROM PRODUCT

Hi Experts,
In service transaction i want to determine one partner(Vendor) from product master.
In product master, in the Relationships, under Vendor tab i have mantained the details of the vendor. In the transaction when the product id is entered, this vendor has to be determine. Is it possible. If any ideas, please tell me.
Thanks in advance.
Nadh

Hi Nadh,
Vendor determination from the product master can surely be achieved.
For your partner function Vendor put an access sequence, which picks the vendor from the product master.
1. First create an access sequence say ZVEN , here make a new entry, in the drop down choose an entry which says vendor from product master (I am not sure with the name).
2. Put this access sequence in partner function vendor of ur partner determination procedure and assign that to the transaction type.
Wish this helps.

  • Sales org determination from product catalog

Let's assume we have 2 sales areas required in CRM: sales org/distribution channel = 1000/10 and 1000/30, they need to share the same product catalog but have some personlized views for different customers.
Therefore, for the product catalog, I intend to maintain 2 variants distinguished by different distribution channel, and maintain some views specific to different customers.
In web shop, I flag the "catalog search (b2b internet sales)" option, but I wonder how is the catalog determined?if the catalog can be determined by choose one from list, how is the catalog variant determined by the logon internt user, i.e. how to determine the sales area by known BP(from internet user), as 2 sales area may be both assigned to the same BP?
If I unflag the "catalog search (b2b internet sales)" option, only 1 catalog variant can be set, does it mean I
have to create different web shops to assign different catalog variant for my scenario?
    Patrick

    Hi Patrick,
Sales Organisation are covered by the variants.
You have to define  several views. The views relates subsets of the catalog ( areas and items) to BP. You are free to relate views to BP list or you could also use target groups, which you could define with segmentbuilder.
To identify what a customer  will see, the standard will collect every view the Contact person and the Business Partner is related to.
Variants from all cataloges, to which the user is related via the views, will be filtered according to Language and maintaned Sales Organisation for the both Business Partner.
If there are more than one Catalog-Variants is shown to the Shop user by the so called SelectCatalog.jsp.
Correctly spoken it is a variant selection (and so the sales Org is determined), and since exactly one catalog is related to a variant, they call it catalog selection.
The union of all catalogobjects ( areas and items) which are related to that identified views will be presented to the customer ....
    Hope this helps.

  • Problems with Partner determination in activities generated from call list

In our scenario we are using IC Win Client 5.0.
During the generation of the call list it to my understanding that when a call is scheduled for a Business Partner a corresponding activity is created and linked to the call. It is in this process that the partner determination procedure for the linked activity kicks in and should determine the BP from the sceduled call and fill the field 'Sold-to-Party' in the activity.
However this is not working!! I have tested basically all of the standard access sequences for the partner determination procedure and I haven't been able to do it.
By using standard access sequence 0019 I was able to determine the BP using the relationship, however when opening the generated activity an error ocurrs that  states the following message: 'Only one partner function of function category Sold-to-Party is allowed'.
Whats really odd is that if we erase the Sold-to-party field leaving it blank and press enter, the contact person is filled in the same field! It seems like something is missing in the procedure or the way I use the access sequence.
    Please help!
    Thanks in advance,
    Pedro

    Pedro
For activities you should not determine SoldToParties, but rather Activity Partners. Please have a look at the standard partner schemes for activities, to see which partner functions are usually used for activities besides the activity partner.
If you have to use soldtoparty partner functions, please take into account that they have special checks enabled.
The system fills in the organization instead of the contact person, esp. if no contact person exists: In R/3 you can have non-reflexive partner functions, but in CRM these are not saved. Instead in partner determination if no target can be found the origined partner itself is used as a result. That is why the organization is put into the result instead of the contact person.

  • Business Partner Determination in SRVR Transaction Type

    Hi
I am using SRVR in SRVR ITSM/Employee Interaction center scenario.
The standard partner detrmination procedure given by SAP is IT000001
    - I am confirming an employee. Reporter is the partner function to confirm employee in SRVR.
Q1 - I am trying to detremine sold to party from reporter. What I have done is - I have created a Relationship in the employee master record with relationship category- "Is the contact person of" which means employee is the contact person of the Sold to party. I have assigned a sold to party to this relation ship.
The problem is that I am unable to determine this through the partner determination procedure . I have used several Access sequences but its not happening. Can you suggest something
Q No 2- I am also trying to determine executing service organization in the partner determination procidure - The way I want this is that it should be the service org (org model) to which the employee responsible is attached to- For example - If I am creating the transaction and I am the employee responsible then executing service org should be the org to which I am assigned to in the service org.
Currently the access sequence that SAP has given is not doing anything.
    Kindly help

    Hi Raju
Here is the answer to my question no 2
    - Executing Service organization is a partner function in the partner determination procedure IT0000001 provided for SRVR in crm 7.0
    - you can vetermine it in two ways- one is by Product and Zip code. The rule is already there is the access sequence for this partner function in the partner dtermination procedure. You have to add the product "INVESTIGATION" to the service org you want to determine and maintain the attreibutes for the service org and it should get determined
    - The second and the better way to determine the Executing service org should be the org unit of the user and there is an org rule for it which you have to maintain in the access sequence for the partner dtermination procedure. Please check for the rule in the Rule maintenece.
    Thanks

  • Assign partner determination procedure for campaign automation

    Dear all,
could anyone help me how to set up Partner determination in CRM? I try to create campaign automation and when I want to release it I get this error message:
    Diagnosis
Campaign 1: Parties involved have been assigned to this marketing project. However, there is no partner determination procedure assigned to type "Product Promotion" (Z002).
    System Response
The partner determination procedure is determined from the type. If you select a type that does not have a partner determination procedure assigned to it in Customizing although parties involved are assigned to the marketing project, the assigned parties involved cannot be validated. You therefore need to choose a type with a partner determination procedure assigned if parties involved are assigned to the marketing project.
Afterwards I§m not allowed to save the campaign changes and to release the campaign.
Please, how can I assign the Partner determination procedure?
    Thank you very much
    Michal

    Hi,
For setting up partner determination procedure for Campaign, goto transaction spro.
Choose CRM->Marketing ->Marketing Planning and Campaign Management
In here, please expand the node 'Partner Processing'. There is IMG documentation help available on how to set up PDP.
    Hope this helps.

  • Partner Determination Not Working in Opportunity

    Hi,
We are using Z-partner Functions Which are Determined using Partner Determination Procedure in Lead but it is not Copied to opprtunity.
we used Different partner procedure for opportunity but is not coping from Lead. We tried to Modify the partner Procedure used for Lead and use it for Opportunity but it is not working.
can any one suggest were we might be going wrong.
    With regards,
    Selvam t

    Hello Selvam,
there is no copy procedure during partner determination. If you create a followup doc or copy an existing document - the partner det. runs again. According to your settings in the PDP the partner are determined by access sequence and source. That means if you want partners which should be copied from predecessor then you should use the source COM_PARTNER_A like i.e. access sequence 0001 in standard.
    I hope this help,

  • Territory and partner determination procedure for employee responsible

    Hi CRM team,
I have a little issue for you I'll be very thankfull if someone could help me.
There is the organisation of the territory management in the company I'm working for:
    -Country
    -Region
    -sector
*each sector have a determination rule based on 1 condition "1 field from the BP Header (customer)"
*each sector have a position assigned to it. (Organisational model PPOMA_CRM) And there is 1 or 2 employee affected to each position..
    *When creating an activity,*
*First thing I enter the Account (customer: activity partner)*
*I would like the system to determine the employee affected to the sector of the BP as the employee responsible.*
    Any Idea?
For the moment, I'm searching in the partner determination procedure. But the standard access sequence Business Partner Relationships: Activity Partner -> User dont work.
There is some sitting from my IMG:
The partner fonction Employee Responsible is with
    *fonction category: employee
    *usage: CRM
*Relationship category: Is the employee responsible for
    Partner determination procedure:
In the acces sequence, I put a dialogue seq 15 :
    Business partner from territory
And in the detail on source, I put:
    Fonct. categ. : Employee
    Usage: CRM
    It dosn't work...
I don't know if I'm am searching in the right place.
Could you help me with a solution to have the needed system behavior????
Thanks a lot for your time and your help.
    Best regards,
    Ahmed.

    Hi Ahmed,
After created determination rules for territories have executed the report CRM_TERRMAN_PROC_REL for initial option?
Once territories and determination rules are created, you need to run the above report in Background(schedule a batch job) which will establish relationships between the territories and corresponding attributes. You need to run this report every time there is a change in determination rule of create/change territories.
    This should resolve your problem

  • Plant as a Vendor in Partner Determination

    Hi
In the Partner tabs, I need to determine the Plant as a vendor.
Do I need to create a relationship of the Plant with BP. If yes, what should be the relationship category? I am using "has undefined relationship".
To determine the Plant in Partners tab as one of the Partner, In access sequence, I have used the source as "Business Partner relationships" with the details on the source as Partner function - Sold to party.
In the partner determination procedure, I have assigned this Access seq, with function as Vendor.
While executing the transaction, I am not getting the Vendor determined automatically.
    Any inputs would be helpful.
    thanks
    Yash

    Yash,
In order to determine the plant as the vendor you need the following elements established:
    1.  Plants setup as business partners in CRM
    2.  Plant relationship to business partners in CRM.  You will need to create a new relationship category in order to set this part up.  Use transaction BUBA to setup the new category.  The role of the corresponding partner should be "vendor".  Now assign the plants to your business partner using the new relationship category.
    3.  Configure your partner determination procedure to pickup the vendor from the relationship category you defined before.
I have done something similar with a completely "custom" partner function so, this should probably work for something more standard like a vendor.
    Good luck,
    Stephen

  • Trigger partner determination when ship-to is changed on the sales order

    Hi,
    Here is my scenario...
I am defaulting my rail carrier partner function based on the ship-to party partner function into the sales order using the standard configuration i.e. by maintaining SH as entry in the "source" field for rail carrier partner function of the sales document partner determination procedure. Every thing is fine until the ship-to party in the order is not changed by the user. when the user changes the ship-to party the carrier is not re-determined (the old rail carrier partner function which defaulted into the order from the old ship-to party record stays in the document). I know standard SAP doesn't re-determine partners. Can anyone came accross this issue?
I would like to know if there is an user exit that i could use and write a code to trigger parter determination when a ship-to partner is changed in the sales order.

  • Partner Determination at various levels....

    Hi,
Partner Determination is possible at Customer Master level, Sales Document level , Item level etc....
During the sales order creation, the partner functions are taken from the Customer master... if yes, then what is the necessity of sales document level, item level partner determination....??? Also, if partner determination can be made possible at all levels then which takes the priority???
    My second query is:
In customizing it is possible to determine the Ship to party based on the Sold party and also based on the Ship to party, the Forwarding Agent is determined....Where exactly the setting is done...????
    Third query:
An analysis function is provided for tracing automatic automatic determination of business partners in sales documents..... Where is it possible ????
    Regards

    Hi,
    your first question:
partner determination assignment vary as per your requirement. in general you assign it to account groups for customer master. for others like sales order/dlivery/billing, you only need to assign these if your requirement varies on delv/billing creation. take the exapmple of value contracts, here in general you assign the PD process KAB) to sales document type(WK1).
    second:
this can be done, as you have already maintained the same. like take the example of order creation. if you just put SH data without putting the SP, the system will take the SP from the SH' master record (if you have maintained these for that SH)
    Third:
as far as i know there is no analysis function for partner determination in sales document, like we have for material determination, listing/exclusion/freegoods and output.

  • Partner determination rules in sales documents

    Good afternoon Experts
I'm trying to determine responsible agents in a quotation document by using a rule with responsibilities
( in the access sequence of the responsible agent partner function).
Could someone please confirm how the rule container gets filled?
If the rule is based on a post code my understanding is that the post code of the sold
to party is passed to the rule container and the responsible agent gets
determined. Passing the post code to the rule container should be in this case hardcoded.
What happens though if I need to determine the responsible agent based on another
piece of information like "sales order type", "client tax classification" .
          -  How does the system know how to fill the rule container?
         -   Do  I need to create a new organizational attribute ?
On Sap help I've found :
"If you use rule resolution using responsibilities, you do not have to assign
attributes in the organizational model, other than the attributes distribution
channel and division; these are necessary for showing the sales area."
Where does the sales area come in for partner determination when using rules with responsabilities ? Is there a mechanism like sold to party/document -> sales area -> organisational attribute => attribute passed to rule container?
    Any input would be appreciated.
    Best regards
    Razvan Zainea

    Hi Razvan,
you can use rules in your partner determination access sequence. Most attributes are filled in document processing for the rule container.
You mentioned postal code. This is filled from the main partner of the document. The main partner of a sales order is the sold-to party, of an opportunity is the prospect, ....
If you like a different main partner you can do this via process type customizing (field 'partner function ORG').
If you need to fill your own container values you can use CRM_ORGMAN_BADI method CRM_ORGMAN_ATTRIB_VALUE_FILL.
Or as mentioned by Shanto you can use your own logic with COM_PARTNER_BADI.
    Best regards

  • CRM 7.0 in partner determination procedure

    Dear all,
In CRM 7.0 in partner determination procedure for an ITEM level am unable to set up procedure so that any partner will always be just mirror of the partner set on HEADER level.
This functionality works only when the new order is created, then when changing the partner on HEADER level the partner on ITEM level partner is dynamically changed a according to HEADER.
When changing the order later u2013 HEADER partner is changed, but the ITEM partner stays the same and had to be changed manually. If an ITEM partner is not changed manually an error is raised while transferring to ERP (because of customizing settings there). Partner determination procedure in customizing is set for ITEM to display all the partners defined in CRM (no only for defined in the particular procedure). I would basically need the ITEM partners to be always the same as HEADER partners no matter what operations are done in the HEADER is must be 1:1 with ITEM (automatically copied when creating/changing).
I know that we can use ABAP development, but if possible I would like to use just customizing tools.
    Many thanks for your comments

    Hello Guys,
thanks for your reply. The issue was that the system was copying the partners from header to item even if in customizing I had set up the item det. procedure so only basic partners like SP or Bill to shall be present. In our scenario the user has to change header partners from time to time. Before upgrade (version 4.0) if the user changed the partner header and this partner was also at item level the system changed this also so header partners were equal to item partners. After upgrade this functionality disappeared (I have checked user exits and did not find any cutomer dev.)
At current CRM 7.0 if the header partner is changed item partners stays the same. And this can causing the troubles in R/3 due to settings of partner determination. To make it shorter. If you need to change the BDoc after it has been created by CRM use class if_ex_crm_dataexchg_badi~crm_dataexch_after_mbdoc_fill.

    Dear,
Define the batch determination search strategy for process order in COB1 with sort rule in CU70.
On the initial screen of your application choose Logistics>centrel function>batch management>Batch determination>For process order -->Batch search strategy --> Create.
On the initial screen of your application choose Batch search strategy -->Create.
Choose the strategy type, say choose co02
    Choose the key combination-
Enter the required dat-->say plant ,production order type, product, valid from and component for which you want to have this
Choose Selection criteria push button. Choose a sort sequence.
If no values have been entered, enter the selection class and the characteristic values.
Go back to the screen on which you create a batch search strategy.
Choose Sort if required(it should be defined earlier(in CU70- here you are giving the charateristic name on which you want to sort)
For component you need to use MBC1 with search stratgey as ME01 for your plant movement type and material and assign the sort rule and search procedure here.
Check also in COR4, for the combination of plant and order type...you have selected search procedure-CO0001
Batch management> Batch serach procedure allocation and check activation
T.Code to be looked specifically OMCG , CORC
    Hope it will help you.

  • Access sequence for Partner determination -Sales and Interaction Center CRM

    Dear experts,
We use som transaction types both in our sales (t/c crmd_order) and in Interaction center (t/c CIC0).
We though want the partner determination to act differently when creating this transaction in sales compared
to when creating it in the interaction center. For example in the sales process we want the contact persons to be searched from the relationsship of the sold-to party but in customer service we do not want an automatic determination.
There are some BADIs available that can be used in the access sequences as a source but can they be used to
switch off some automatic determination when creating the transaction in t/c CIC0 whereas the automatic determination should work when creating the transaction in the sales process ie. t/c crmd_order?
Looking forward to have any input on this, thanks!
    best regards,
    Christina

    Hi,
What we did is to remove the automatic determination on the transaction type that is used both in the sales process and Interaction center/customer service. The partner in question is only determined from the previous document in case you
    create a follow-up document.
    rgds,

  • What is the purpose why we define partner determination

    hi
my question is what is use of partner determination.  How many partner functions we should create in customer master.  Is there any thumb rule we have create sd,bp,py,sh
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
We sell the goods to the customer who places the order. In SAP this ordering customer role is played by the sold to party. Similarly the shipping address is the ship to party used while creating the delivery. While creating the invoice we require the bill to party and for receiving the payment payer function is required. Hence partner determination procedure is very important in SD from the sales flow point of view otherwise if you create the customer without any partner function then you will not be able to create even the sales order.
SP, SH, BP & PY are the basic partner functions. Apart from this you can create partner function for commission agent, notifying party, sales employee, etc. You will find this in IMG-sales & distribution - basic functions - partner determination - set up partner determination. Click here and you will see
1.Set Up Partner Determination for Customer Master
2.Set Up Partner Determination for Sales Document Header
3.Set Up Partner Determination for Sales Document Item
4.Set Up Partner Determination for Delivery
5.Set Up Partner Determination for Shipment
6.Set Up Partner Determination for Billing Header
7.Set Up Partner Determination for Billing Item
8.Set Up Partner Determination for Sales Activities (CAS)
Just go through the documentation below. You will get a clear picture on how to do the partner determination procedure for a customer.
    <b>PARTNER DETERMINATION PROCEDURE</b>
<b>First go to OBD2</b> – create customer account groups. Here you make new entries, click whether it is a one time customer, description. Also you can do the field selection here for general data, co. code data and sales area data.
<b>Now go to IMG</b> – logistics general – business partner – customers – control – define & assign customer number ranges. Here you define the number range that you want and assign it to your customer account group.
<b>Now go to VOPA</b> – here the selection will be on customer master, click on partner procedures, create the partner determination procedure. After saving it double click on it then you will face with a screen. Here you enter the partner function and you can select if you want the function as mandatory and not changeable.
<b>Then go back</b>, click on procedure assignment, enter your account group in the lower left corner of the screen, press enter then in front of that select your partner determination procedure. Then save it.
<b>Then click on go back 2 times.</b> Here you can see partner functions, click on it, then go to environment in the upper menu and select Acct. grp assignment. Here just select your partner function and in front of that you select your customer account group. Then save it. Now you have completed the pre requisites to create the customer master.
<b>Then go to XD01</b> and create your customer master.
