Partner Function can occur once

I have maintain a partner function for the sales document header, but there might be two persons who can appear in the partner function.
But when i choose again the same partner function and enter the value system give me the following message "partner can only be occur once" can any one tell me the way so that multiple numbers with the same partner function can incorporated a the header level.
Regards,

Hello,
There is a configuration we maintain for this. You can uncheck the box Unique in VOPA for the partner function.
As you know there are some unique partner functions like Sold-to-party, the sold-to-party can be only one.
It all depends upon your business need to maintian multiple partner with same partner function.
Search this forum, you will get many threads related to this.

  • Existing partner functions can be assigned to new partner det. procedure

    Hi,
Can i assign the already existing partner functions(created by others) those already assigned to other partner determination procedure to new partner determinatin procedure?
If so whether it will cause any problem.
Please help me on this issue.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi Venkat,
Yes you can assign already assigned Partner Function to your Partner Function.
It will not have any effect, niether on your Partner Determination procedure nor to the other Partner Determination procedure.
    Reward if helpful.

  • Multiple Partner Function in a sales Order

    Hi
I have created a partner function  ZR Referred By ( Type Customer) but not able to enter multiple ZR in a sales Order
Error .VPD012. Partner Function can occur only 1  in ..
The requirement is to attach the referred customers for reporting purpose and there can be more than one customer referring this new Customer / Order.

    Hi
Thanks for the input but  the solutions suggested by you all does not work.
The Unique button is only relevant for Customer Master and not the Order. In the Order you can have only one.
The Button Modifiable is only for allowing you to change a Partner and not adding another partner with the same partner function.
Any way I figured a way out,  we can use the system provided AA ( Partner Function) and able to use multiple AAs in a Service Contract./Scheduling agreements.
But if you need to have multiple partner in a sales Order ...Only way seems to be to have Z1, Z2 Etc ...
    Thanks

  • "Partner function CA can only occur 1 times in procedure TA (Sales Document

    Dear Experts,
I have a requirement where I need to capture the Partner function more than once....
Say  i need to capture the two or more commission agents in one sales order....
But when I enter the second comm agent the system triggers
"Partner function CA can only occur 1 times in procedure TA (Sales Document Header)
    Cheers

    Hi,
    Go to VOPA....
1.Create Partner Functions as many as required....say PF1,PF2 and so on...
2.Assign all the partner functions to the account group.
3.mark the partners as mand or notchang in the procedure details....
Once u r done with this u can add the PF1..PF2 .....in the customer master/sales doc....
    Hope this will help u.
    Thanks

  • How to define a new partner function?

    Dear experts!
    Thank you for your attention!
we are using ECC6.0, I just want to ask how we can define or create a new partner function?
    Best regard!
    Tangdark

    Hi
    Tang
    Use Tcode  VOPA
    Partner function
Specify an alphanumeric key which can have up to 2 characters and a description for a partner function.
    Partner type
The partner type is an indicator which informs you of the type of partner, for example, partner type customer "KU".
Currently, you cannot change the partner types in customizing. You canonly select the partner types that are included in the standard SAP R/3 System.
    Error group
Using the error group, you assign an incompletion procedure to a partner function (see section "Incompletion log").
    Higher-level function
For a partner function, you can specify the higher-level partner
function. In this way, you can portray an existing dependency between the partner functions.
    Unique in customer master record
If you characterize a partner function as unique, you can specify it only once in the customer master record.
The sold-to party has to be unique in the customer master record whereas you may specify several contact persons.
    Customer hierarchy type
In this field you can specify whether a partner function can be used for a customer hierarchy. Enter the customer hierarchy type permitted
for the partner function. Refer to the section "Define hierarchy types
    and assign to account groups".
    Convert functions
If you work with several languages in the sales and distribution
system, you can carry out a language-dependent function conversion.
This means you can display the internal key definition, for example, AG, WE, and so on, differently on the screen depending on the logon language of the user. For example, you can display the key CU as AG when logged on in German. (The conversion is necessary because the partner functions such as AG, WE are partially hardcoded in the programs.)
    Thx.

  • RE:Business partner functions in customer Master creation

Do we need to send the Business partner functions while creating record in R3 thru MDM.
For any account group i pass the Idoc is expecting all Business partner functions to be defined for the account group to which am trying to create Customer.(As SH,BP,PY..)
Can anyone please explain me in brief the Business partner function -Problem in my scenerio............................Concept of  Business Partner function while creating Customer.

In ECC partner functions are used when you have multiple addresses for the same customer.  The partner function links those address records together.  You could have multiple unique customer numbers on the KNA1 table, but in the KNVVP table (partner functions) you maintain the linkage between the main table records.
Partner functions are not recommended in MDM.  These are generally not considered to be "enterprise level attributes" and therefore shouldn't reside in your customer repository in a central create scenario.  Additionally, some of the complexity required to model partner functions can't be modeled in MDM at this time.  When 7.1 comes out, there is a new data type called "tuples" which supports deeply nested structures, and therefore you could model a true partner function table inside the sales area table.

    1. Partner Determination
SP, SH, BP, Payer are key to document processing. Automatic partner determination happens in the sales document, delivery and billing documents, sales activities, and the customer master record.
IMG  SD  Basic fncs  Partner fncs, define partner fncs [VOPA]
Each partner function can be assigned a partner type. This partner type specifies whether the partner is a customer, contact person, or vendor.

  • Can the same partner function be entered in the sales order more than once.

    Hi
I know that as per standard same partner function cannot be entered more than once in Sales order.
If somebody has tried ways to do this please share.
    THanks
    Alags

Yes. You can have multiple Ship to Party, Bill to Parrty & Payer in Sales Order. But Sold to Party will have to Unique & single.
This functionality of having multilpe Partners is widely used & just follow as Deepak suggested above & you too can have multiple Partners of same type in single Sales Order.
But there has to be a strong Business case in doing so... say different Ship tp Party for different line items in Sales Order or different BIll to Party for some line Items in Sales Order.
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,

  • I can not see all "Divisions" in BP Rel.--Partner Function Assignment

    Hi,
When I edit "Partner Function Assignment" in BP reliationship such like BUR011("Employee Responsible"),
I can not see all "Divisions" in list which I can see in configuration via SPRO-->Customer Relationship Management->Master Data->Orgnizational Management->Division Setting->Define Divisions.
E.g., in configuration, I can see 7 records of divisions from "001" to "007", but in "Partner Function Assignment" of BP relationship, I can only see "002" to "004".
Do you know why? Thanks a lot!
    Best regards,
    Long

    hi
that should not be happening,if they are visible in one client then should be there in another too
do one things try run  this
    hrbc1_atributes_buffer_update
it will refresh the buffers of your org structure and then you may be able to add this
also check the check box where it is mentioned that"object determination should be permitted"
remember it will run only for once after you run this the check box will be unchecked again
i guess it may solve your probs
also try to structure your org structure index
    use t code
    crmd_index_om
and withtin the object type give O
    and execute

I need to add search parameter "Partner Function" to the inbox ICweb search.
Today I can search for My open transaction.

I wont to limit the search to look in a particular partner function. for example: 00000014 Employee responsible.
I mean in hardcode and not as a parameter selection screen.

  • BDOC Error : Partner function Sold-To Party occurs more often than specified in Customizing

    Hi,
I am new to middleware and would like to know how to solve the below error.
My scenario is I am trying to perform an initial download for equipment from ECC to CRM. Most of the blocks get successfully uploaded, but for a few cases I get this error.
CRM_EQ_DMBDOC: Partner function Sold-To Party occurs more often than specified in Customizing
As my block size is 50, I would like to know which entry has this error and how to fix it. Once I fix it do I reprocess the BDOC.
Please advice me how to go about this. Thank you for your time.
    Regards,
    Dhruv

    Hi Willie,
    Thanks for your reply.
I applied the Note 1762574 and tried reprocessing the BDOC but it does not get processed.
The other note 1414329 de-implements the change made by the first one, so I did not use it.
Do you have any other suggestion?
    Regards,
    Dhruv

  • Can we view  SH's partner functions in Sales Order?

    Hi All,
SP has a different SH and FA is assigned to SH in master record. When we create order we can see all the partner functions of SP but we can't see partner functions of SH. User wants to see which FA is assigned to SH. We can only view partner functions of SH in delivery document. Is it possible to view partner functions of SH in sales order as well? Please suggest the ways to configure this setting.
    Thanks!!

    Hi,
Yes, you can view . Check the Partner determination procedure, include the partner function SH to your partner determination procedure assigned for your sales order.

  • How can I add customer partner function entries in LSMW?

I am using SAP ECC 6.0 with best practices installed. I am able to create sold-to customers using the batch input program RFBIDE00.
When I try to add partner function entries using structure BKNVP, it appears that the partner ID stored in KTONR is not populating SAPMF02D screen 324 after it is entered on screen 2324. I receive a “Data is incomplete; check” error.  I could not find an SAP note or other solution to correct this problem.
While searching for a solution, I found a few recommendations to use the IDOC message DEBMAS to create the partners function entries instead of batch input.  When I try to use this approach, I am receiving an error “Deletion is not allowed: SP is mandatory function”.  I was trying to add an SH (WE Ship-To) at the time. I found a reference that explained that all partners were replaced when this IDOC message is used.  It further explained that this should work if all partner references were included in the message.  This approach did not work either. I still receive this error if I omit or include an SP (AG Sold-To) record.
Does anyone have a solution to either problem or another approach?

    Hi
       You can use LSMW :-
    1) Create a project , sub project and an object.
    2) execute it from 1 st screen to enter the object.
    3) You will find proces steps.
    4) In Maintain Object Attributes  choose Program Name RFBIDE00.
or I-DOC or the way you want the input to be.
    5) You can proceed from there following the instruction..
