Cannot Unblock newly created Partner functions
Hi All,
I created a partner function with partner function category "End customer" and relationship category "Is End Customer of". However when I save the same the "Block" option is checked automatically and I am not able to uncheck this option (It reverts back to checked on save).
Also, I am unable to assign this partner fucntion to a Partner determination procedure eventhough I am able to create an access sequence using this blocked partner function. Do you know of any particular reason for this happening?
Can you please help me with this issue?

Actions creating task for multiple partner functions
Hello Masters,
Need help in below scenario.
We are using actions in quotations. Different actions gets triggered as per status of quotation.
ex: Status: manger approval request: Task to be create with action for manager
Status: Manger approved: Task to be created with action for Sales employee.
I have configured action profile. My actions are partner function dependent.
Partner functions are different for manager and sales employee.
But when action is getting triggered it is creating task for both partner functions.
How can I avoid this? Does though we say action is pertner function dependent is it true or it is actually partner function catagory dependant. In my case partner function category is same for manager and sales employee. The partner function category is "Employee"

The partner function category is same - employee and hence it is triggering actions at the same time.
You may have to see if you can assign a separate partner function category to meet your requirement.

Org determination in transaction based on custom Partner Function
Hi All,
I am trying to figure out how can I modify the partner determination procedure and org data profile to determine the sales area (org,dc,div,so,sg) in a transaction automatically without having to choose the sales org.
Here is the set up:
Sales Org ->Soff->Sales group are permitted for Org determination in ppoma_crm.
Custom Partner Functions - Y1 and Y2 assigned to Sales Partner Function Category
Access Sequence YXXX has the following set up:

Partner Procedure YPP001 has the following setup:

Org Data Profile YORGPROF01 is maintained for Scenario SALES with Org Model Deter Rule 10000177. Sorg and Dc mandatory set.
The transaction type YOPP is configured as shown:

Partn Func Org Activity Partner
Partner Determination Proc YPP001
Now here is the issue:
We want that when we create transaction YOPP it should fill the Org data including Sales Office and Sales group from the partner associated with the PF Y1 which gets assigned automatically when the account is selected on the transaction.
With the above setting, it populates all the sales offices and sales groups that have been marked for determination in ppoma_crm (which we don't want it to do). We need it marked for determination so the BP's master data associated with Y1 shows up the sales group and sales office.
When the account is selected on the transaction and Y1 is determined via partner determination, we would want the sales Org also to get determined automatically from the Y1 partner's master data.
Anything that can be changed in the above settings to make this happen?

Although i have no practical experience with this but an educated guess would be to use Partner function determination . If you have 'employee responsible ' PF , Then u can further use him for org determination.

Restrict Partner functions to a particular category
Hi Folks,
We are planning to use the standard partner function SB - stock partner in our document. This is entered manually by the users.
we want to make sure the users only enter the BP that are defined as Sold-to party for this partner function.
For the SB partner function I have defined as the sold to -party in the function category .
We are getting the error message only one partner function of function category Sold-to is assigned.
can you please let me know how can we achieve the desired functionality.

You will have three possibilities.
1. In Release Strategy set release indicator as 1.
Caution : Once this indicator is set you / anyone cannot change the PO forever.
I suggest you not to change release Indicator bcoz sometimes u need to change Po. you will get difficulty then.
2. You can restrict / Block Users to ME22N Tcode by contcting basis guy..
3. You can use Version Management.

Partner function mandatory for Item category
Hi all,
Here is the requirement & current settings,
For consignment sales process ,we have 2 diff. item cat. , for both common partners are SH,SP,BP,PY.
For consgn. issue item category we ned retailer as mandatory partner.
created a new partner as retailer & asigned in the account grourp,
Created new partner procedure with ship to party & retailer as mandatory functions & asigned to cons. issue item category.
While creating consignment issue w.r.t consignment fill up, in the order the partner retailer has to be a mandatory function, but with current settings it is allowing to save the sales order.
is there any thing to be maintained,

Go to IMG SD > Basic Functions > Partner Determination > Set Up Partner Determination > Set Up Partner Determination for Sales Document Item.
There create a new Partner Det.Procedure say Z, by copying standard N. Next click on Partner Functions in Procedure. Now, against this new Z procedure, you can see that special stock partner. Against that partner, select the box Mandatory.
Next click on Partner Determination Procedure Assignment and select Item Category KEN and assign Z.
Finally, assign this Z to your item category in VOV7
Now try the process and update the forum.

Mandatory partner function at sales order item level
Hi all,
I'm customizing partner schema at item level for sales order. I have created a custom partner function, I put it in a new sales order item partner procedure and i set this partner function as mandatory (I want that system show me a message if this function is missing at item level in sales order). This partner function is defined only at sales order item level (not at header level or customer master).
If i create and save a sales order with an item type that use the item partner procedure I have created, system don't show me any message for the item custom partner function missing, else if it is set as mandatory in sales order item partner procedure.
I have read some posts in these forums about this functionality, but it seems a different situation.
Someone had a similar type of problem?

First you have to create a new partner function.
Then assign that partner function to the account group.
Then assign that partner function to partner determination procedure for the item category.
Over here click on the mandatory button also.
Then assign that partner determination procedure to item category.
Then to XD02 and give your customer number and in the partner tab maintain the data for that partner function.
Now go to VA01 and create your sales order you will see you partner function.
If you wont have maintained it in the customer master then it will prompt an error.

New Partner Function in CRM (Solution Manager Service Desk)

Even if this problem is present in my Solution Manager Service Desk I'm creating this thread here in CRM Forum because I thin'k I need the experience of one CRM Expert. Í´ve created this question in Solution Manager Forum also but I hadn´t solved my problem yet.
We add the partner function called "Additional Partner", but I don't know why in the tab "Partners" in the CRM transaction we want to add a new partner but in the partners combo the new one does not appear in the list.
The procedure that I did was: I created a new business partner function and I added this new function to my partner determination procedure, then in SPRO: "Define Partner Determination Procedures" -> I set the option "Only Functions Assigned in Procedure".
These are the values. fro my new function:
Function: ZSLFN004
Text: Additional Processor
Abbrev.: ZAMS
Function Cat.: 0008 Person Responsible
Usage: CRM Customer Relationship Managem.
Relatshp Cat: CRMH06 Is Responsible BP For
The partner functions in my procedure are:
00000001 Sold-To Party (CRM)
00000046 Approved by (CRM)
SLFN0001 System Administrator (CRM)
SLFN0002 Reported by (CRM)
SLFN0003 Support Team (CRM)
SLFN0004 Message Processor (CRM)
ZSLFN004 Additional Processor (CRM)
But in the transactions when I try to add a new partner in the partners tab only the follow functions appears in the combo:
00000001 Sold-To Party (CRM)
00000046 Approved by (CRM)
SLFN0001 System Administrator (CRM)
SLFN0002 Reported by (CRM)
SLFN0003 Support Team (CRM)
SLFN0004 Message Processor (CRM)
I don't know why my ZSLFN004 is not listed in the combo.
By the way, my function was created as a copy of SLFN0004.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your answer, but some one in the Solution Manager forum gave me the answer few minutes ago :). The problem was that in some transaction types (I don't know wich ones or if it aplies to all) the category 0008 - Person Responsible can only appear once, my partner function was a copy of the function SLFN0004 - Message Processor and that function is defined with the category 0008, so I had 2 partner functions defined in the category 0008.
To solve the problem I just adjust my Z function and put the category 0016 - Service Team and let the relationship empty. Then the partner function is now showing in the combo at partners tab.

How to update partner functions in customer master
Hi all,
I want to update the partner functions for the customer master using transaction code XD02. I created the LSMW by means of recording but it doesn't work because the partner functions for the customer changes.
for example , certain customers have shipto paty, sold to party , bill to party payer and forwarding agent. some customers wont have all the above mentioned category.they may have only ship to party, sold to paty & bill to party.
Is there any other alternative way to update the partner functions for the customer.

Please use the FM 'SD_CUSTOMER_MAINTAIN_ALL' to maintain the partner functions in the customer.
Pass the partner details in the TABLES parameter T_XKNVP.

Partner procedure;Procedure details;Procedure assignment;
Partner object(Customer Customer Master;Sales Document Header Sales Document Item..etc)
Account Group;
Anybody could explain clearly on above relations? Would be better if could attach an example by connecting to XD01 creating customer master data, especially the useage of Account Group.

Analysis this business process:
Partner type:
I as an person who purchase goods, so i should belong to partner type Customer.
Bookstore sell goods, they should belong to partner type Vendor...
Partner function:
I as an customer but also play roles like pay the amount, receive the invoice..etc
As an customer, i am function like an Sold-To Party.
I pay the amount, then i function like an Payer.
I receive the invoice , then i function like an Bill-to Party.
Also i got the book from bookstore, then i founction like Ship-To Party.
All above function belong category:Customer.
So in SAP system, VOPA, i need first define corresponding partner function, and assign it to partner type.
Partner object:
Partner object is Customer master;Sales document Header,Sales document item..etc
We define above mentioned Partner functions into corresponding partner object, also we need define Partner procedure and assing account group inside it, so as ?????
Sorry, i think idont know what Partner procedure works? And why we need PArtner procedure??
Seems partner procedure is related with Account Group...
I remembered we had assign the Partner function to Account Group once, why we still need Partner procedure to Account Group again???? Coz inside PArtner procedure is partner function...
And what imapct when we creating customer master data XD01 or processing sales order..Billing document...

More than one "Sales Employee"(Partner Function Value) in sales order.

My customer requested add more than one "Sales Employee"
in Sales Item Line. As the standard SAP, I can add only one
"Sales Employee" value in one partner function. Any suggestions?

You can add one sales employee per line item. In one line item you cannot add morethan one sales employee however.
If you want to include morethan one sales employee to EVERY LINE ITEM, then
1. Create some PFs like Salesperson1, Salesperson2 etc, say upto 5.
2. Now assign this PF to the sales document header and item category,
3. For all the PFs, you can have the same account group.
4. Now you can create customer master for all these sales person.
5. Once this is done, you can link multiple sales persons for each line item.

How to work with Partner Function Categ. - Person Responsible vs. Employee

I have a question regarding partner processing (we are using Web Client UI):
Our customers are served by one Sales Rep. who is travelling and additionaly by an Account Manager who is working inhouse (he is assigned to & supporting up to 5 sales reps). In our R/3 System we are using two different z-(customer)partner roles - let's say SR and AM. When we create new customers and sales documents the AM is determined out of the assignment to the SR (SR has to be typed in by user). So the Sales Rep is the leading employee in the relationship to the customer, while the AM is the SAP power-user.
How should I use these Roles in CRM? Both employees have to be assigned to our Customer-BUPAs and to every sales document.
The first thought was using the CRM-partner-function 0012 Sales Rep.(category employee) for the SR and 0014 Employee Resp. (category person responsible) for AM.
My problem is that I don't know what the difference between the two partner function categories person responsible(0008) and employee(0005) is.
Because the SalesRep is the leading employee I think it would be better to use him as the responsible person? Another point is that the responsible person is available on all the Web Client Views on the first detail block and the other employees are only visible in the "parties involved" block. But the SalesRep doesn't use the system very often.
What do you think is the best way?

In CRM relationship appends the Changed partner function in R/3 -Middleware
Hi Experts,
Partner functions in R/3 are mapped as relationship categories in CRM and the transfer is happening through middleware.
However if I change the BP for an existing partner function in R/3, it is not changing the BP in corresponding relationship in CRM.Instead it is adding a new relationship category.
Currently we are in CRM2007(6.0 version).
Ex.
- An account in R/3 has a partner function "Sold to Party" as BP Id "01234". This does create a relationship category in CRM "has sold to party" with BP Id 01234. -- it is working fine.
- Later if I "change" the BP id 01234 to a new BP Id "05678" in R/3 for Sold to Party partner function, it does not update the relationship category in CRM. Instead it adds a new relationship category for "Sold to Party" with BP Id 05678. This is issue now.
We dont want to create a new relationship, instead we would like to update the relationship for new BP Id.
If anyone has any any clue how to resolve this, please share your thoughts. It is a very critical requirement.

- An account in R/3 has a partner function "Sold to Party" as BP Id "01234" and a partner function relationship as ship to party with BP id u201C05678u201D and it is replicating this relationship correctly in CRM .
- Later if I "change" the BP id 05678 to a new BP Id "05679" in R/3 for Sold to Party partner function, it does not update the relationship category in CRM. Instead it adds a new relationship category for "Sold to Party" with BP Id 05679. This is issue now.
Any notes or work around solution for this issue is helpfull.

please consider note 844503, For some partner function categories it is required that only one partner function within a process is used. This includes also the sold-to. With this note you are able to use multiple sold-to function category. However please be aware that this would be a modification. But the question remains: Why you need 10 sold-to ???
Normally you just have 1 unique sold-to.

Thanks for asking . This Dinesh ( Vishal's colleague ) ..We found that the Dumps are because of the implmentation of the SAP Note 497146 which provides a enhancement to the existing FM BUPA_MWX_BDOC_MAP_REL_CENTRAL . This is throwing the short dump.
We raised a OSS message and SAP replied back saying the behivour of the sytsem is as per standard and its not a bug .
Can you please us to achive the following !!
We want to avoid the replication of BP relationship ( sold to party to Z Custom A/c group ) which does not have a Sales area ? Do you know a BADI which can help us to achive this functionility ??
I mean we want a control of the BP releationship replication via Middleware using BADI .. Can you please help us here . Also please provide any list of BADIs which can help us on this ?
